Plant of the Day
Monday 15 January 2024
The showy spikes of lavender, lipped flowers of Plectranthus 'Plepalila' (Swedish ivy, Mona Lavender) result from a cross between two South African perennial evergreen species, Plectranthus saccatus and Plectranthus hilliardiae ssp. autrale 'Magwa'. The leaves are dark green with a purple underside and the plants are tender and should only be placed outside after risk of frost has passed.
