3 pages of HLVRAI narrative doodles exploring a Benrey synesthesia headcanon:

Benrey watches Gordon having a breakdown and wailing incoherently, but his wails correlate with the pitch the colour orange has in Benrey's mind, which is also the colour he associates with laughter, and so he believes Gordon is laughing. That prompts him to go "yo, funny joke. what?", to which Tommy replies with a worried look, "I don't, this- I don't think Mr Freeman is laughing, Benrey-", which is overlapped by Dr Coomer similarly saying "I don't think he is laughing, Berry.". The orange sweet voice that Benrey had let slip while speaking pop in the moment of realisation.

Benrey telling Dr Coomer and Tommy, "bro, you gotta switch names. username update. colour's not right.". Above Dr Coomer and Tommy's heads are their name acronyms in the colours Benrey associates them with -- Dr Coomer's being yellow and orange, and Tommy's green, orange, yellow, and light blue. He then tells Gordon, "Feetman can keep his name though, 's green," which prompts Gordon to ask, "What's that supposed to mean?". Gordon's name is associated with the colours green and orange, like his HEV suit and glasses. Lastly, Benrey says to Bubby, "Bubby's cool too, i guess.". Bubby's name is associated with the colour periwinkle, which isn't too far from the blue he wears. Bubby responds with a satisfied, "Hell yes."

Gordon asks Tommy, "Wait, Tommy- Tommy," to which Tommy replies, "Yeah?", to which Gordon continues asking, "You can read sweet voice. So you can do that too? Hear colour and...names and...y'know what, I dunno. I'm not a psychiatrist or... whatever it is they-". Tommy cuts him off to confirm that yes, he can read sweet voice, but no he can't do the latter. He says, "No, I had to- to learn to read it from the- from scratch, Mr Freeman. But it wouldn't have been easier if I could. It would have been conf- it would have been worse." He continues to explain, "It's like- it's like if I- if we both imagined, uh, apples and mine were green but yours were red." Gordon tells him a regretful: "...you lost me, bud,", to which Dr Coomer responds, "Come now, Gordon! You must know what apples are. Everyone does!" and Bubby says, "Gordon, do you need to go back to kindergarten?"

hi this ask is really old but im gonna use it to talk about my new portal au. so it's like, a hades au. well, more of a hades adjacent au?

imagine like, chell is a soul in the underworld and glados is the leader of the underworld and chell is constantly trying to escape to find her parents on earth

and like, the cores offer her different 'boons' like the gods. wheatley is one of the cores who offers you boons, and then if you get to the end with him to fight glados and you defeat her, he takes over and sends you back to the beginning with potato glados as your patron. (also its gay. im putting it out there that its fruity. pov we are stuck in a loop of you escaping and dying and everytime you try again i flirt with you a lil homoerotically ) and it's alike hades where like, all the cores are different gods of something. like adventure core is the god of the wild and space core is the god of the stars and so on and so forth. wheatley is like, it's known he's a god but it's not known of what until you get to the end with him and beat glados and it's revealed he's the god of deception as he takes glados' spot. i wanna design these characters SO bad but i havent had the time yet. i already have a really awesome idea for what glados' is gonna look like.

heyy can we hear more about the hlvrai portal au?

well so mostly it was an excuse to design glados!tommy and get really silly with quote redraws but in my brain it has an actual plot. the idea i had was mostly like .. . yknow how glados in the original game is like 'ooh your parents hate you they left you oooh' . that but in this it's tommy going 'wooow youre SUCH a bad dad.. wow u dont even know where your son is...' and gordon rolling his eyes because joshua is the name of like, idk. like a toy he had or something. like in this au joshua is not real, sorry. i half wanted to make him a real son because like. i love joshua. but like, i feel like it'd be cruel to make him real and then put his dad in a pseudo torture labyrinth where a big sexy robot dude flirts with him while hes like. dying out there. so he's like, a stuffed cowboy with a broken pullstring that exists on the surface somewhere. ALSO gordon is selectively mute. hes not completely mute he just prefers not to speak if he can help it. he has a very healthy and strong internal monologue though, one he often forgets everyone cant hear and he will wait for others to respond to what he said to them inside his own head. and then like. wheatley as bubby was a stroke of genius on my part i believe because they're both cowardly little idiots. ( said affectionately for bubby and derogatorily for wheatley ) i think bubby would totally let the power go to his head literally immediately much the same way wheatley did and it just.. oooh baby it fits. i never drew it out but i always imagined that coomer plays the part of like, every single core. and they all share consciousness and shit bc i think that's swag and makes the final boss really interesting because im a fruit and i think it would be cool if bubby, instead of being 'corrupted' is like.. comforted by having coomer around. do you see the vision. and when they get blasted to space they get to be gay little balls in space for forever. its perfect, ok? dont worry about it. also benrey is rattman. i think that would be so cool. i dont have like, a deep meaning for this i just think it'd be really cool and rattman benrey would have a cool design. also forzen is atlas and darnold is p body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is so important do NOT separate them!!!!!!!!! they are best fucking FRIENDS!!!! g-man is g-man. but also cave johnson? he's tommy's dad you know how it is. mmmm. didnt mean to write that much. if you have any more questions i will answer them all i love this au so much.
