Unpopular opinion: Otome Game Edition: Part 2!

(This is to start a conversation, if you disagree that's fine! I'd love to hear why)

The cold, stoic character that has a soft spot for the MC is one of the best character types. ESPECIALLY THE DEVELOPMENT.

MCs with no eyes are supposed to be self-inserts, that's why their personalities are bland or don't have strong character traits other than their kindness. That's why I strongly dislike when people act like it's a criticism to call these characters bland. That's the point!

I'm sorry, I don't understand how fucking convenient that Barbatos is the fucking arbiter of time during the whole the MC is Lilith descendant situation. Like bro you are not Teorus from SCM. (This is a joke)

(I think this can applies to fandoms outside of otome games) Poorly written female characters and poorly written male characters are treated VERY different.

I want diversity, but then I have to realize that most of these games are made for homogeneous audiences.

Later MCs in Ikemen Prince are much more compelling.

In KoP, Taki in the early parts of his main story and Kiyohito in that one side story I hated with a passion. Like, they should fucking be hung, drawn and fucking quartered.

Speaking of Voltage INC, please for the love of God, just allow some of your otome games to be turned into anime if you don't give a fuck about them anymore. Like, TLH would fucking slap as anime.

Character interactions between certain characters are NEEDED.

Ikemen Sengoku NEEDS to stop making feel guilty for not choosing a different love in a route.

I just started playing Ikemen Revolution, and it's a creative ass concept, like I wish more was like it.

The tsundere character CAN work, but a lot of the time it falls short.

There are otome games where the writing is straight-up ass, like terrible. Yet attractive men is going to save it everytime. Though, I don't blame people.

Jin's route in Ikemen Prince is surprisingly better written than most routes. And for a character I barely care about it too. Cybird ATE!

A lot of otome games don't really tap in the game aspect of their games. Sometimes it's a mild inconvenience.

Again, I'll make this point. Why do I need too spend money to get the good shit?! Professional otome game players, yall's pockets must be fat. I can sadly not relate.

Most of the game sprites in Obey Me! are fucking ugly. (Lord Diavolo could never)
