Hmmm...

So, as time passes, I've realized that out of all the paths laid out for me by God, the one that I have chosen IS NOOOOOO JOKE.

More than often, I find myself scratching my head and asking myself, "Dang. Is it me?" My views, my interests, my passions (black men/culture is/are not monolithic, pole, art/design) -- all have me forever combating the masses in HOPES of educating them. It's literally an eternal uphill battle. And then I be thinking, like, do I have it in me to continue fighting these battles for the rest of my life?!

Decided to (low key, I was forcefully persuaded by friends) to do a showcase performance. No routine written, I just freestyled (WAY out of character). About one minute in, the exhaustion set in and then it hit me — I was throwing tricks and skills I haven’t done in 2 months. I also had a a fall, but the crowd was very forgiving. Lol. 😭😭😭

Went to Finland and snagged me a bronze medal at the world championships! 😮‍💨🙌🏿

Last year at Worlds, I left saying that 2023 would be a totally different outcome. By God’s favor, it was!

Now, real quick, let’s talk about Finland. I had ZERO expectations before I got there. Like, none. I expected the bare minimum — especially, as a black man from America. But LISTEN — Finland exceeded ALL my expectations! The food was DIVINE! I loved how the young kids dressed, it was very reminiscent of 90’s street fashion (aka black fashion). The people, at least to my face, were extremely kind and welcoming! Overall, I loved it here! The scenery is beautiful. And there’s something nostalgic about some of the architecture. Very cabin-y. Lol.

Overall, I give Finland 12/10. HIGHLY recommended! I wish I would have done some local activities!

Every so often, I get ITCH and URGE to disappear. I am at that point again.

I will delete ALL THIS SHIT, because I DO NOT CARE about social media. Lol.

Currently, and as of these last few months, I have been struggling with overstimulation. Dealing with too many people, too many sounds, smells, personalities — all of that and I am at my wit’s end.

My Wi-Fi has ALWAYS been spotty. I mean, at least twice a month, the service randomly goes out. And these last two days, the problem has gotten worse. I tried rebooting it 3-4X and no luck. In addition to this, I’m trying to train for the next competition at the end of the month and life has been life-ING A LOT. But that Wi-Fi — that’s what is about to send me the fuck over. Lmao!

I am only cussing because I am over this shit. Lol.

There’s 8,000 other things going on in addition to what was listed above, but that Wi-Fi TUH-DAY!! That shit just tipped the scale!

I designed about 90% of the model’s outfit. The jacket, the body suit, the joggers and even the earrings. I am very proud of the progress I have made with apparel design! Very soon, I will be able to say that the model is all me from head to toe. The whole look came together when she stood in front of the wood paneling. All of the colors complimented each other so well and I was instantly in love.
