Charlie sighed as he rubbed his forehead. He was struggling to patch himself up with being sober man. He knew his hand shook. It was a new skill he had to learn all over again. And he didn’t want to admit that he lost this skill.

“Our kind doesn’t like to ask for help most of the time. Why you think alot of Slayers used to die young?”

He leaned back and looked at the younger Slayer. He couldn’t bring himself to give her the answer. The honest answer. Or maybe half the truth.
