Horror movie night!
[First image: A digital drawing. An anthropomorphic cuttlefish and chameleon sit cuddling together on a couch. The cuttlefish is wearing pajamas and reaching for a bowl of popcorn with their retractable appendages. Their pupils are very large. The chameleon, wearing glasses, plain pants, and a short-sleeved button-down, has one arm around the cuttlefish and has both eyes turned behind him to the wall. The cuttlefish says, "Keep watching!" The chameleon replies, "I am watching." The cuttlefish says, "You're lookin' backwards. Coward."]
[Second image: The same drawing as above, except there is no dialogue and now both the cuttlefish and chameleon are blending in to the wall, couch, and their clothing. The cuttlefish is additionally blending in by texture mimicry, so their outline is less distinct. They have also retracted their appendages. Both the cuttlefish and the chameleon are indicated by arrows pointing from the label: "Jumpscared."]

Hey here's a reminder that you're allowed to publish unfinished fics and snippets of fics that you're never going to continue and you're allowed to abandon WIPs and you're allowed to orphan unfinished fics and ficlet collections and you never have to finish a single fic if you don't want to.
And there will always be someone who reads that unfinished work and is happy with it and feels glad that they read it even if it's never continued.

shoutout to slow creators!
i know it can be disheartening to work so slowly when it seems like everyone around you works so fast and churns out great content left and right. i know it's easy to get frustrated with yourself for having to spend so much time on one thing and sometimes it's hard to stay motivated long enough to finish. but the things you make are so good, and taking lot of time on something isn't a bad thing. creation can be a very painstaking process, but the amount of love and care and effort and attention you pour into your work bleeds through. people can feel it. they appreciate it. they see how hard you try and they see how your thoughtful approach to creation affects the quality of the end product. speed is definitely a skill you can develop and chances are as you practice more and get more comfortable with things, you'll be able to work faster. but no matter what, the things you make are worth waiting for. keep creating! you are wonderful!

More concepts for the church sewing room Dark World fanchapter.
[ID: Four sketches of farm animals made from items you might find in a sewing room. The first is a sheep. It has four legs made of sewing needles, and its head and body are shaped from a looping blue thread that passes through each needle’s eye. A caption with an arrow says “needle & thread sheep (can be multicolored)”. The words “can be multicolored” are in color.
The second sketch is a large button with a smaller button in the middle that resembles a pig’s snout. The large button has two ears, a curly tail, and two eyes like buttonholes with thread stretching between them. Text says “Pig?” and “not my best work.”
The third sketch is of two triangular pieces of tailor’s chalk, one orangish and one blue, with chicken beaks, eyes, crests, feet and wings. The orange one is leaning down to peck at specks. Gray text above the chickens says “cha cha chaKALK! [Drawn-out “Kalk”].” Black text says “Tailor’s chalk chickens.” and “I like them.”
The final sketch is of an ironing board laden with rumpled clothes. The legs of the ironing board are jointed and posed like a moving horse. A floating iron with a cord takes the place of the horse’s head. The cord goes under the clothing pile and trails behind the ironing board like a tail. Black text says “Iron & ironing board horse” and gray text says “might be too cool compared to [everything] else”. End ID.]

"And then You Fight the Sun."
More DR fanchapter stuff. The sun could be the secret boss, where you collect pins to add to the pincushion before they reveal they’ve been planning to create an endless summer…Perhaps the musings of a mysterious voice convinced them that everybody in Farm World works too hard already, and wouldn’t it be nice if they could all just spend some leisure time in the sun? Forever?
[ID: Kris in their Dark World form looks up at an enormous pincushion shaded in warm colors to resemble a sun. The pincushion gives off erratic rays of light, and Kris casts a long shadow. End ID.]

I’ve been bouncing an idea around in my head for a Deltarune chapter involving a Dark World set in a sewing room at the church.
[ID: Three grayscale sketches. The first is of a barn whose walls and roof are patterned like quilted fabric. It is labeled “Barn made of quilt” in caps.
The second sketch is of a tomato-shaped pincushion stuck full of pins at every angle. It is set against a light grey background and has white “rays” beaming off of it. It’s labeled “pincushion sun” with an arrow pointing to it.
The last sketch is of two scarecrows and has the word “scarecrows” written at the top. The first scarecrow is styled like a corn husk doll and has a face drawn on it in blue. It has an arrow and label reading “corn husk”. The second scarecrow is made of a baggy head, shirt, and pants stuffed with straw. Its label says “straw-stuffed”. Both scarecrows wear floppy, wide-brimmed straw hats, though the second one’s hat is flying off with drawn indicators of wind. A label pointing to the hats says “hats fly off.” The corn husk scarecrow has a pair of bent fabric scissors on its right arm, angled to resemble a bird. Its label says “Fabric scissors crow”. More text below the scarecrows says “I like both of them…” End ID.]

sigh I definitely have to give up the black duster costume concept since it’s a jungle setting.

for @emmalylis based on your bonkers fic
[A MSPaint drawing in a scribbled style of Remy the rat from the film Ratatouille, wearing some costume pieces belonging to Chat Noir from Miraculous Ladybug. He has a black mask with cat ears and a ring with a glowing green pawprint design (around Remy’s wrist), and he holds a black baton. He has a determined expression and his eyes are green To the left is a close-up of the ring around Remy’s wrist. Cursive handwritten text at the top of the image reads, “Chat d’Égout”]
