It's a trip from Minnesota to Missouri on Febuary 28th - 29th

GOAL IS 800 USD

This would be to cover the Moving Van costs (she is being driven by her sibling and wants to help pay for it)

It's rounded up by 20 to hopefully cover some small buffers like gas or additional things/fees that might come up! If we break past it then she can help pay for any other extra things post move in, too!

Hey guys, my friend Ayiko recently got diagnosed with colon cancer and needs help paying for his cancer treatments.

“*grey freeze frame* i’m sure you’re wondering how i got here—and for those of you who don’t know, i’m Ayiko, a 22 year old queer artist and musician. I’ve always been a creative, from theatre to a film major. My dream is to keep creating, to keep telling stories, to keep sharing my art with the world and with your help i’ll be able to continue with what i love, with my passions. On the night of February the 6th, what was thought to be a routine doctor visit for severe stomach pain turned into an in-patient hospital stay. A CT-Scan revealed the source of the pain was from a rare telescoping and entanglement of the intestines, known as Intussusception. After a successful colonoscopy relieved the pain, it also revealed a lump that was removed during the procedure. Further testing by the pathology department discovered that not only was the lump cancerous but there were additional tumors that were inaccessible without open surgery. The cancer had grown into 5cm tumors and had spread to some lymph nodes. On February the 17th i went under the knife(or in this case a laser) for a robotic colectomy to remove the remaining cancer. There was very little risk in it spreading and it was one of the least aggressive cancer of its type(Neuroendocrine Tumor of the Gastrointestinal Tract). After the surgery, i will be unable to lift more than 10 lbs or walk for long periods of time, which has left me unemployed. Now in post-recovery, i gently ask the community to rally behind my family and i as we face the financial burdens of hospital bills. As a first generation immigrant i am also aware of the family back home that my parents have to look after too(in fact my father is going to visit Uganda in less than a week). That’s why we would greatly appreciate donations of any amount, as i continue my recovery and face the possibility of chemotherapy. Just sharing the link can go a long way. seriously tho the most frustrating thing about the last few days is everyone acting like what happened to predstrogen was unique. trans women get nuked all the time.

my fiancée got nuked this morning. she hasnt made any death threats against the ceo. she hasnt posted pictures, much less sexually explicit ones. but there wont be a massive outpouring of support for her.

to most people, her blog being nuked will go entirely unnoticed by the wider site, just like the last two times it happened to her, just like the last 4 times it happened to me, just like its happened to many of my mutuals.

i need y'all to reckon with the fact that we are constantly disappearing. if predstrogen was the first time you noticed it, that's a problem you need to fix.

and predstrogen was lucky. she had people who noticed and cared and stood up for her, and from the sound of her last post thats been going around, getting off tumblr will be a good thing for her health

Who did Glip and Eevee befriend in the art and tech spheres to be so untouchable ??? No doubt those in the industry that protect them sympathize with predators at best

Art spheres no. Glip used to be this way but fell out of grace with the big fluff logs dropped.

Tech and indie game communities however, are still partial to protecting Eevee because she plays up the 'It's all kiwifarms & transphobia' angle really well and wasn't ever actually married to Marl - loosening the impact of the BF logs on her reputation compared to Glip.

The original comment was on this post of Eevee's. Eevee edited it out, but the same comment was shared on lolcow and had a link in it. Here is the tweet the banned commenter linked to, and relevant screenshots. Guess she didn't want people seeing this. I wonder why?

It was this comment to Eevee that pushed Glip to double down on wishing Jollys suicide attempt was successful, looking at the timing of everything.

Twitter sucks, but if Cohost is willing to look the other way at abhorrent behavior like wishing that someone who attempted suicide twice was successful....so long as the person doing that said abhorrent behavior is Eevee...but quick to drop the hammer on those that lightly point out that said behavior is beyond fucked up - then cohost is rotten at the top and isn't worth using.
