Hi sorry to bother you but can you please tell me why do you think camila’s relationship with Austin(that CEO dude) was PR…from what I have seen it was pretty low-key compared to Shawn’s and Matthew’s. Also why she was in a relationship with him right after like with Shawn.
It comes down to contract.
Austin probably signed for a very short period of time. He needed to boost his dating platform which had only been released 2 years prior. And we all know there are so many dating platforms so trying to breakthrough with a new one is tough. I definitely went and checked it out 100% because of Camila, and that's exactly what he was going for. Camila just needed another dude to fill the gap between her never ending cycle of "boyfriends" just like Taylor Swift did back in the day with her dozens of short term boyfriends in between the longer term ones. When there's an ulterior business motive that's known at the start and gets filled by being in a "relationship", it's PR. It doesn't matter how low-key or short it is, it's about the purpose.
You have to remember, it's all business. There's a reason behind everything we get to see. Someone is trying to make money or get exposure 99% of the time, you just need to find out who.

I think it’s kind of funny that the whole Fred and Lisa thing is supposed to be anchored by a phone case with each other’s initials. And they keep trying to “hide” it or delete the pictures after they’re posted “accidentally”. Maybe they’re together and they don’t want to follow the usual kpop route of being private but what I don’t get is, why not just confirm it then? Lisa’s the one who’s super private and talked about how J taught her about maintaining her privacy. And given how rich both of them are, why not go for like a ring or some other kind of jewellery where no one know what it means but you?? I used to think J’s mps were over the top but this has started giving subtle shawmila energy. Ofc not as in your face but definitely planned out and something seems to crop up at opportune moments. L has changed quite a bit and I think she’s freer and happier in some ways which is wonderful and well deserved. It kind of reminds me of when C left 5H? I started following her slightly after she left but basically that she’s happy, she’s free but she’s different and having to be very strategic about who she “dates” and who she hangs with publicly. Now Lisa only gets spotted with other celebrities, while catching a flight or meeting Fred and I don’t think that’s a coincidence
After Lisa signed with RCA, it basically just confirmed in my mind that Fredlisa is a PR relationship. It's been going exactly by the book of a western music industry PR relationship looks like.
You see the similarities between her and Camila when she went solo and Camila's PR relationship because it's meant to be similar. No need to reinvent the wheel when it has worked for decades.
And I 100% agree, I've seen the change in Lisa's image in terms of what she's presenting to us publicly now vs. 2016-2022. She's definitely happier in her solo career, but everything does feel a lot more calculated to give her a specific image and we see less goofball Lisa. I totally get it though. She's an icon now in the music industry and even more so in the luxusry fashion industry. That has to be preserved. But it's a little sad because she's a total goofball in her everyday life and we don't get to see that anymore.

Lisa’s new deal sounds amazing! I’m so proud of her for fighting for herself like this. Apparently a “source” on Twitter shared all the details before hand and they were spot on, that stuff always leaves me confused because I wonder how they know?? Unless someone who is actually part of the negotiations is sitting and tweeting confidential details which feels strange??
How do you think Lisa’s new contract will influence her career in South Korea and also the whole fredlisa angle? I know you mentioned they’re using western tactics and that adds up that she’s been talks for this since last year and that’s when this Fred stuff ramped up.
Do you think that means JL will be even more distant? I really don’t want those Ty, Lauren,Camila and Shawn type situations got JL :(
Lisa's deal is right on par with what she's trying to do solo wise and with a label that will help her achieve it so that's great news for her. Things like this always tend to leak. If the label didn't want it to leak, they would've axed the person and what they said right away so it's usually all part of the rumours they try to fuel to create attention and hype.
The one thing about this contract is that this means it's highly unlikely she will be back in Korea unless it's to do concerts, for fun, or be a part of BP stuff. She didn't sign a joint deal between a Korean and American label. She only signed with RCA. But this is no surprise as Lisa's trajectory for her solo career was pretty clear right off the bat -- go international. Her signing with RCA also just confirmed Fredlisa being PR. It aligns exactly with what the western music industry does.
I think JL is definitely going to be more distant in general. Not just because of Lisa's PR relationship, but just in general because of BP not being together as often, different solo activities, and the physical distance between all the members not just JL. Lisa has basically been setting up "headquarters" in both Paris and LA. I don't know exactly what Jennie is going to be doing exactly, but her ties to Korea are much stronger so I don't think she will leave her core fanbase behind even though she has garnered a lot of attention in America and Europe. Even from looking at their websites, Odd Atelier is in English and Korean while LLOUD is only in English -- speaks directly to which markets they're trying to focus on.

I feel like it’s a slightly strange time to be a fan of blackpink as a group. It’s super exciting to see the girls have their solo careers, they were clearly held back and with the short time they’ve been free, they’re already flourishing. They deserve this and when you have that kind of star power, it would be such a waste to not explore everything you can be. That being said, BP as a group doesn’t seem to be on the radar for anyone. From what I know there’ll be an album and a tour next year but I wonder where everything will be at the end of this contract. I would imagine BP will only get more popular and at that stage YG will have three choices - giving the girls whatever they want, giving them BP or disbanding them. Given how unpredictable YG is, I would not be completely surprised by disbandment. With how the girls have been with their solo careers, I doubt they’ll renew with YG again. I think they love each other and what they’ve built and they want to continue that in a way that they’re all happy which is why they renewed. I don’t expect them to be idols forever but it’s a bummer that in all the time they’ve been together we’ve gotten such minimal content from them that it feels like we’re all missing out including them on what BP can be. I became a fan not too long ago so for me it all feels even shorter. Who really knows what’ll happen in 3 years (?) but I’m hoping they stay together even after and find a way to reunite from time to time like some groups are doing now
I feel for you anon.
I've been a fan of BP for a while now and it still feels like they haven't fully delivered on their potential as a group. But you are correct in that they have flourished in their solo journeys so that will be a big factor in how much they can come together as a group to do stuff. We'll have to see how everything goes. Even though things are becoming more clear as what each member wants to do and is going to do solo wise, it's still quick murky in the sense of when and how it will tie into group activities.
They never truly have to disband even if they don't come together often. Biggest example is Brown Eyed Girls. They debuted in 2006, took a hiatus for a little while, but still remain active as of today. They don't release that many songs anymore, but they still try to celebrate their anniversary together every year no matter what they're doing.

Hi, do you think celebrities can queerbait? Like pretend to be bit gay just to keep fans interested or something? Some people believe camila is actually straight and she is just being gay at times so Camren fans can buy her music, idk…this is really upsetting to me.
Yes, queer baiting is definitely a real thing in the entertainment industry.
I don't think Camila does it. She knows boundaries and how insensitive and disrespectful it would be to the queer community to queer bait just for attention and sales.

Hi 👋 So I have a question, we know that Camren gets exploited by the label whenever they want to and then they bring Lauren to deny it ever happening, my question is; When do we know it’s the label doing or Camren is trying to indirect us or each other because isn’t their social media controlled by the management.
It's hard to know in the moment.
You need context to figure out what is and isn't controlled. Seeing the arc of the plan over several days, weeks, months and even years is the only way to really know.
Yes, management can control their social media, but not everything is always controlled. And if there's an indirect, it makes it that much easier for them get it past their managers because the managers aren't going to think deeply into it like the Camren sleuths. If it seems safe enough, they let it go.

I forgot to ask the previous ask anonymously bc i'm DUMB. I would prefer if you could answer to this one instead, but if not, i'm taking accountability 🙏🏻 Thank you!
"I honestly don't find Chaeyoung dating others upsetting though. " Yeah sorry i should have worded it differently. I don't find her dating upsetting either. Obviously, i love her so much and i support her relationship (and all the girls', tbh!). As long as it's not with problematic people and that they treat my girls well. I think i was disappointed in the fact that Michaeng might have not been real (ever), that Chaeyoung might have not been fruity in the end, or that this particular relationship with Zion wasn't PR. I guess the same way you and others may have been disappointed in Lisa's and Jennie's public relationships? Like "oh no, Jenlisa might not be real". I love Chaeng and i agree, she's very adventurous and likes to try things. So i will support her, always <3 she deserves to be in love, and the guy fits her so well. I also agree that the revealing of the girls' relationships one after the other is interesting and even a little scary. Some people have thought of a traitor in their staff or entourage 😵‍💫 i hope relationships are normalized, but if it's an invasion of privacy, it's a bit worrisome.
So I accidentally deleted my answer when I deleted your post before. And I don't want to write the whole thing again.
But no worries anon!
The gist of my answer was that just because something doesn't last or doesn't come to fruition the way we want it to, doesn't mean it wasn't real.
Like the love someone may have had with a previous girlfriend or boyfriend was real even though they could be married to or dating someone else now. It doesn't make what was experienced before any less real. And it's the same for the people looking on. And it's the same moving forward. Love changes and adapts. This is why people breakup and get divorced. It happens. It's part of life.

Chaeyoung from Twice just got confirmed to be in a relationship with Zion and i’m not gonna lie, i’m a little sad/upset about it :( Chaeyoung has always been the fruitiest member imo and Michaeng, definitely the realest ship. It was bound to happen. I just didn’t think this day would come now lol. I will always treasure Michaeng’s bond, and i could never think it was all fake or fan service. I’m just a little bummed out :( how do you feel about it? (I saw you also liked Twice in your bio, but i never really saw asks about them since i’ve been following you).
I probably follow Twice the most these days! I even went to see them in concert last year! I'm a Once for sure so you can ask away!
I find the timing of the release of both her and Jihyo's dating relationship statuses very interesting to be honest. We haven't heard anything about Twice dating for years, and then suddenly in a two week period both of their private lives become public. And it's also coming out after they spent several weeks in the US promoting One Spark/With Youth and their massive final concert stop in the US. I think this is a big part of the turning point for Twice in terms of expanding their own careers. They're going to enter an era with more solo activities and we're going to see their more "grown up" and true personalities come out with personal and solo endeavours.
I like Michaeng as well! I think they're cute together and have a special bond. I honestly don't find Chaeyoung dating others upsetting though. She seems like the type to want to be adventurous, try things, and explore who she is. She's still so young too. 24 years young and she hasn't been able to have as much freedom until the past year. If her and Mina truly have feelings for each other, they'll figure it out with time. They will always be a part of each other's lives.

I’m the gidle anon ! I agree it’s not the same without soojin , but I do still love them for their concepts / pushing boundaries etc. I first heard queencard and then went back to find soyeon wrote an entire title track with female pronouns … iconic behavior seriously.
She is iconic. She loves to push boundaries. And sometimes, she comes across as blunt and harsh, but honestly those qualities have allowed her to have such a successful career so far. She just never backs down from a challenge or opportunity.
Between her, Moonbyul and Jessi, they've really shaped a whole generation of female kpop rappers (non-vocalists) and songwriters. They all have different styles and flows, but are all super talented.

Is getting tiresome all this Jenlisa and Fredlisa stuff, my take Is Lisa and Jennie had a dif relationship with each other than The other members and still shows maybe From 2018-2020 and still have feeling but not together anymore. With this Fred thing maybe dating now but i dont see It as super serious on Lisa part. It looks force on Fred part he Is loving the atention he does look like an atention seeker. Whats your take....
I still think it's PR + business partnership.
It's great for the LVMH brands and for Lisa. Wins on both sides. LVMH brands have been getting a lot of attention especially because often times they're seen going to brand events or shows. And obviously Lisa starting off her solo journey would welcome the fan base and attention.
If they were actually dating, they would've kept it private and wouldn't fuel the drama mill with dating rumours and being seen together all the time and all over the world without addressing the rumours.

People seems to fallen for The Mediaplay YG has put In works for The new group Bmonster doing a Jenlisa lookalikes do everything posible to look like they like each other that way... YG Puting all his marbles to have a 2nd Blackpink do everything The same
I agree with you.
Even their new song Sheesh sounds exactly like a song BP would release.
I get what he's trying to do though. He formulated BP exactly the same as 2NE1 and it worked marvelously for him so why would he change the formula? BP was even called "Future 2NE1" before debut.
BP group activity is likely going to be very limited over the next few years so he's filling the gap with BP 2.0. And sticking with the same group concept and vibe.

I think it’s sweet that JL are pulling a camren in terms of their music and the hints (unless you meant something bad by saying it’s camren 2.0). The beginning part was when they actually seemed like they were together and okay. Ofc I hope JL don’t end up like them, they seem to be more stable than camren tho. Maybe because they got to grow up together during training without being too much in the limelight at the time. They’re also slightly older I think?
Good Camren 2.0
Agreed. JL definitely seems more stable. And it's because they didn't grow up in such a toxic environment. YG isn't a 5 star label but honestly anything is better than what Syco/Epic was and the garbage they put 5H through.
I think Jennie is older than Lauren by like a year. Camila and Lisa are the same age.

Are you interested in gidle at all? I just came around to them and I find all of them and creative direction esp in terms of K-pop at large pretty compelling.
Of course!
I was really into Gidle when they first came onto the scene and throughout Queendom. But when Soojin left/was forced to leave, I lost some interest because the group just never felt the same without her.
They are a very unique group in that Soyeon is not only their leader, but also writes and produces almost every song or at least has a hand in them. And that's how they've survived so long at CUBE. They own their own career and direction instead of falling prey to CUBE like CLC did.
They collab and get involved in the western market a lot. Their style has shifted more into hip hop/R&B lately especially because Soyeon is such a good rapper. They own a completely different audience and segment of Kpop listeners which has really aided in their success. They're the bridge between third and fourth gen Kpop groups but also have the freshness of a fifth gen group because their style is still evolving. Comparing Gidle in 2018 to now, I find their style is very different but they have owned it and it keeps them trending.

Camila’s Tik tok is full of reposts about guys and relationships w/ guys in general. Idk how y’all continue to think that this girl’s not not straight. //
by that logic that her reposts tells us everything we need to know about who she likes, what do her own tumblr reblogs about kissing and loving women mean? Because if she reposted a tiktok saying “I kissed a girl with a cross on her neck, her lips didn’t taste like a church but her hips were god” like she did on tumblr years ago people would probably start to have different thoughts on who she likes.
And didn’t this woman like 2 days ago say her favourite part of the songs release was seeing titties on the timeline??
All I can say is there's a reason why she's suddenly only talking about guys on her socials and in interviews i.e. promotion/PR.
If she talked about guys all the time since the beginning of time then we would have a different story potentially.

I read your song analysis on I luv it and although I see your vision we still got to remember that it’s not Camila who’s directing her music videos or the story that comes with them. There are a bunch of producers, directors etc. who are behind them
I partially agree.
Yes there are a bunch of people behind the MV who come up with ideas, but it's Camila who has to give them a message she's trying to convey. Like if we just look at the song vs. what we get in the music video. It doesn't make sense. There's no direct correlation to why those specific scenes are used. The director has to be given a script to work off of.
Every MV has a story board that the director/producer/writer/creative team has to clear with the artist and label before it's produced. Like Drake even once said that once his label gave him a set amount of dollars and he could choose anything he wanted to do for his MV. He ended up giving away half of the money to families in need and spent the rest filming the process and their reactions for the MV. There was a director/producer/etc. for the MV but it was 100% his idea.
Also we've seen Camila talk about her MVs before. Even in Havana, having the Mami character with the chancleta was super important to her. And with NBTS, the glass box scene was definitely her idea. And with her last title MV Don't Go Yet, she even said most of the scenes in the MV she came up with as they were based on her actual family. The director just made them come to life.
So for I LUV IT, I 100% know Camila came up with the baseline for how the MV would go. There's no way she would've let her first chance at expressing her true self be driven by someone else's ideas. CANADA and the creative team just made it more vivid and filmed it fantastically.
