milk knows way too much to be an outsider scientist. my theory is he's lying and kinda secretly the leader of town, maybe descended from a founder. regardless if one's theory is the town's in the living world, fae world, or in hell, it still works. there's no way this town is a total secret when info can be found on in-universe websites, they'd get raided so fast. so i say milk is the big boss who only leaks the secret to desperate people, and lies to lost outsiders to seem normal. it's a cult.

Food people cult, sounds possible XD.

Hi there! Mini Theory Anon again. Newcomers in Food Town live at Milk's place until he finds a safe home for them. The "real" Sweets District is an underground town full of people hiding from Candy. They handle the town's sewer system and only speak to Cinnamon. Milk wanted to join Dumpling and keep Sissy safe despite his oath to sit back and watch. Chilli is scared of Milk because he can fight her and win. His manners are the only thing stopping him. (wow there's lots of milk this time)

This part about the sewers is actually pretty smart! Maybe there are some sweets besides Candy :o

Theory: Chili is a dream demon. She has appeared many times before and will do so again. Her existence might not be Rose's fault, she might just be the easiest nightmare target. If she wants to stop having them, she needs to find a way to weaken Chili and chase her away. Not just in the dream world, but the physical one as well.

Working on the new game (PCon)

Hi! It's been a while~!

During this time I was working on the new game in Unity called 'PCon - Is that ridiculous planet contest really the only way to save humanity?' (yeah, that's a long title XD).

As for now, I want to share with you a couple of things that I managed to finish!

The designs of all the characters are completed

The design of all the screens that appear in the game is completed

The main mechanics surounding the main game loop are completed in the most basic way (so it works, but will be better XD)

Next I'm going to focus on making sure that I can walk through the whole game, and theeen it will be just updating all the stuff that already works, making art and animations and writing dialogues.

I'm super excited for this game, because it's going to be something much different from the previous games! Still can't really say when is it going to be finished, but I hope it will be worth waiting for!

Don’t know if you already answered this, but is there a specific reason for Tomato’s masochism? Background trauma etc? Or has he just always been a masochist lol

Generally, the source of his masochism is his relationship with his parents. His parents were not a very good couple, which affected him greatly. A special memory was the first time when Tomato's mother started harming him in order to make his father become interested in their family again. It started with mildly poisoning him and inflicting pain in such a way that bruises would show. Each time, his mother emphasized how much she loved him and that pain was the very embodiment of her love for him and their family, and that through this pain his father would return to them. Unfortunately, this scheme was detected quite quickly and after a really intense argument, Tomato's father left home completely. The following events were just an accumulation of what happened before. Tomato's mother tried to gain the sympathy of others, and when that didn't work out, she abused him. Tomato, on the other hand, accepted it all with happiness, because his mother loved him....

Later it was too late to help him in any way.

Are any of the 5 characters outside of the town former village residents? I noticed Gin's name and design seems to reference Ginger, and Teru reminds me of popcorn. Kyrie also seems to have a candy-like design with his colorful hair

Haha, thats an interesting idea!

Those characters are a part of a larger stories, that hopefully I'm going to cover in my games one day XD. So their design isn't connected to the Food Town.

I have a question about Grape. Is her lethargic, apathetic and oblivious behaviour just her nature, or did the extensive plastic surgeries damage her brain somehow? Was because of her behaviour that she became an outcast, or because of the plastic surgeries? Also, I would ask for Strawberry and Grape fun facts, after all, all I know about them is that they are lesbians; are they cottagecore lesbians in a relationship, or they are "just friends"? All I know is that their designs are very pretty. If it's not a bother, I would like fun facts about Niel and/or Emmie. I've played Dream of Gluttony and His Fragile Mind, and both games are great! You have a high potential, pal.

Grape was rather a "slow" child from the beginning, but her parents didn't really pay much attention to that. They weren't worried, and instead of diagnosing it, they thought it was cute and that she will grow out of that. Unfortunately, it didn't happen and she just couldn't compare to the "normal" children. It also didn't help, that she lived in a small town, where the teachers weren't concerned about children like her.

She started to grow more and more lethargic because she didn't feel like she belonged to that world. And then finally she learned about the Food Town, and it caused the emergence of some weird ideas in her head.

During the game, she's not only after performing some plastic surgeries, but she also takes some meds that have some side effects, that make her brain work even slower.

She and Strawberry are together, but it's a weird relationship, mostly based on their same approach to life.

Some facts about Niel and Emmie:

They were attending the same schools and university

They work in an IT company - Niel is a back-end developer and Emmie is a front-end developer

After the good end of the game, they started attending therapy and remained friends, but they kinda grew apart. They started to focus on different friends and mostly met at work. But it was better for both of them

I really like Emmie's design as a Stalker! She is one of my favs >

At first, Niel's story was supposed to be the one without a proper happy ending, but I decided that it would be too depressing, so I changed it

i quite love cinnamon's and dumpling's dynamic. it's so adorable and funny to see cinnamon endlessly teasing dumpling. so, what i came here to ask is, of all people in food town, why did cinnamon fell for dumpling in specific? was it a "love at first sight" kinda thing or because he was to them before he started running away from them? (i will keep believing that cinna fell for dumpling cause he was to them in the beginning and that dumpling may reciprocate the feelings, but feels they're wrong, until i'm proven otherwise!) Also, i would love to see more fun facts about Cinnamon, they're my absolute fav--

Generally at first Dumpling thought that Cinnamon was cute, but Cinnamon right away started teasing him, which made Dumpling pretty confused. After all, he was bullied a lot before arriving at the Food Town, so he just wasn't quite sure how to deal with this kind of interaction. So at first, he was pretty withdrawn from talking to Cinnamon, but it made Cinnamon even more interested in him, aaand later they actually started hanging out, but even if, Dumpling still doesn't know what should he think of Cinnamon.

Aaand some facts that I mentioned before:

They’ve got an engineering degree, and are really into experimenting with technology

Cinnamon is the only person in Food Town, who keeps in touch with normal society. They take care of ordering supplies, so people in Food Town have everything that they need

They are really good at acting, and cunning, even if they don’t look like this kind of character.

Their design was created a long time ago. Cinnamon was the second character from the Food Town that I’ve created. Fist one was Candy!
