Day Two: May 4, 2021 | Way Back Home
What we did before over here.
We took a shower after enjoying the snorkeling with the sea turtles since it was already time to check out.
Tumblr media
When we checked out, the time was already 1 in the afternoon and we stopped by Blue Mango Restaurant in Moalboal to have our lunch. I got the burger and fries. The food was okay.
Tumblr media
We hit the road as soon as we were full, I drove have of our travel time back to Cebu and the rest was driven by my sister. This photo was the time me and my sister switched. The sun was about to set and it looks so pretty.
Vlog over here.

Day Two: May 4, 2021 | Cebu Seaview Resort, Moalboal
What we did before here.
Tumblr media
Good morning everyone! Today is a sunny day and before we get into any activities, let us have breakfast first. I think I got an American breakfast that contains, bacons, eggs and toast along with some watermelon shake.
Tumblr media
For today's activity is to swim at the beach of our resort. I remember swimming at the pool before swimming in the sea but I wasn't able to take phots by the pool. I wanted to go to Pescador Island but my family didn't want to. But anyways, it's still a good day to enjoy this!
Tumblr media
Just look at this photo. Clear waters and a sunny days are always a perfect combo for swimming in the ocean.
Tumblr media
Best place to go snorkeling or even diving is Moalboal. You ask why? Because of sea turtles and other marine life! Moalboal is one of the known places to go in Cebu. tourist always come here whenever they visit Cebu and there are actually lots of foreigners who also lives here. This wasn't even deep and we already spotted a sea turtle. These creatures are so cute. Throughout our time snorkeling, we were able to witness about four sea turtles.
Here is what we did after.

Day One: May 3, 2021 | Back to Seaview Dive Resort, Moalboal
What we did before here.
Tumblr media
We went back to the resort to take a shower and prepare for dinner. We were greeted with this view and it looks oh so pretty. After, we just ate our dinner at the resort.
Tumblr media
As the sun has set, I wanted to chill out before going to sleep. I took this photo by the pool since there was a high table and chair overlooking the sea. Listening to the waves crashing is very therapeutic.
Tumblr media
And as all of you may now, in my older posts, is that I love to stargaze especially when I am out of the city. You can turn on your brightness to see the twinkling stars in the photo above. I played my playlist stillness while stargazing until I started to feel sleepy and hit the bed.
For tomorrow's plans, you may check it out here.

Day One: May 3, 2021 | Basdaku Beach, Moalboal
What we did before over here.
Tumblr media
We arrived at the White Beach Resort around quarter to 4pm. When we got there, we swam for awhile along with Cobe. I don't have a photo but I took a video which you can see in my vlog here. We snorkeled for awhile and realized that you couldn't see anything since it was La Nina season and this part of Cebu was known to be wavy. As for the other side, the water would've been calm. We didn't stay long since we weren't really enjoying the ocean. I suggested this place because the last time I was here, the sea was really clear and you can see turtles from a close distance since it was already a cantile (or also known as continental slope).
Here is what we did after.

Day One: May 3, 2021 | Arrived at Moalboal, Cebu
For today's adventure, we are going to Moalboal for my sister's birthday. We brought the camper with us. We left the house around 8am and arrived at our resort around 12 noon. It was just in time for lunch so we decided to have our lunch at the resort.
Tumblr media
The name of the resort we stayed at was Cebu Seaview Dive Resort. According to the staff, they just newly opened. So the place was really clean.
Tumblr media
Since today is my sister's birthday, we brought Cobe. Our Shitzu dog who is currently 7 years old. He is the first dog that we have that was indoors. Our dogs before him were always outdoors. For Cobe, he really likes the outdoors.
Tumblr media
Finally, our order have arrived for lunch. I got Pork Steak and it was pretty good. It was devoured instantly since I was really hungry.
Tumblr media
Once we were done eating our lunch, we settled in our rooms. We got Seaview Premium room for my parents and Seaview Deluxe Room for me and my siblings. My parents wanted to rest for awhile since we have plans for today.
See here for what we're doing later.

Day Four: April 3, 2021 | Goodbye, Bantayan
What we did before over here.
Yes, you read that right. Today is our last day here in Bantayan. The original plan was to stay here until the 5th but sadly the trip was cut short because my brother wasn't feeling well.
Tumblr media
We went back to the resort and I finally took a dip at the beach of our resort. It's the last day so I'm spending it wisely. I swam at the beach to get some tan as well and met a baby girl around 7 years old who became a friend. She loved the ocean and we talked a little, she was impressed by the way I swam (all thanks to my dad who taught me to swim and to love the ocean). She also had a little sister who was with here most of the time. They were so cute but I had to leave. Just in time since it's already 2pm and we were about to check-out. Of course, I hurriedly took a quick shower and packed all my stuff.
Tumblr media
It's time to say goodbye to this beautiful island. Hopefully, I can come back again and visit all the attractions here knowing that it is a pretty small island. We then rode the barge back to the mainland and drove off. We ate our late dinner at Jollibee, Danao and then drove off again. We arrived at the house almost 10pm if I remember correctly. And now, it's time to close this blog since the trip has ended.

Day Four: April 3, 2021 | Kota Beach and Sandbar, Bantayan Island
Yesterday's shenanigans over here.
Woke up later than usual around almost quarter to 9 am. Had breakfast at the resort and went to Kota Beach and Sandbar. It was only me, my parents, my eldest and youngest brother who went to Kota Beach because the others decided to stay at the resort. The drive here was short because it's just near.
Tumblr media
I thought that during my younger days, we came here to Bantayan Island often but then my dad said that this is our first time here. I was shocked because there were so many times I remember having road trips almost every month to the north going somewhere. I was wrong.
Tumblr media
My mom wanted to go see the Kota Beach and Sandbar so bad that I decided that today is the day we fulfill her wish. We got here around almost 11 and took lots of pictures of the place despite the scorching heat. We then rested at the restaurant of Kota Resort. I just had some buko juice since I was still full from the late breakfast. My eldest brother ordered food and while waiting I walked around the sandbar.
Tumblr media
It was low tide so the sandbar is really clear but slowly the water started rising and that high tide is coming. I even met a few friends while staying at the restaurant and a few days back even met another college friend. It's been awhile I've seen people I know ever since the pandemic.
See here where we're going next to!

Day Three: April 2, 2021 | Kota Park, Madridejos
Back story over here.
We were supposed to have our late lunch at Tomgu Seafood and Drinks only to find out that it was closed and that they transferred location. We arrived quarter to 3pm and I was too tired to look for the place and decided to eat here instead.
Tumblr media
There's a sinugba (roasting of food) corner on the right side of the picture above. I decided to take a nap in the camper while everyone was ordering food because being a driver isn't easy when you lack sleep and doing activities during the day as well.
Tumblr media
I slept really good because I was drooling and my nap took almost an hour. I decided to go back to my family eating late lunch and they said I was just in time because their ordering took so long and that the additional orders are almost ready. I dug in of course and ate so much.
Tumblr media
My plan was to stay here until the sunset but sunset was around 5pm so we waited for almost two hours. I wanted to go back instead because I felt like a hassle to my family plus they weren't really enjoying the place but my brother insisted on sticking with the plan. I decided to look around since they have this mini boardwalk. I went up to see a clearer view of the ocean and that it wasn't crowded since it was quite hot.
Tumblr media
As soon as the sun started to set, I called the family since they were staying in the camper and told them it's time to see the sunset. I took a video of the sunset and just look at that. It's so pretty! It started to get really crowded as well since this place is known for seeing the sunset. Although it the clouds hid the sunset, it still looks magnificent. Here's to me chasing sunsets! And as soon as the sun hid behind the clouds, it was time to go back. We went to Ogtong Cave Resort after to have our dinner because they were sister companies with the resort where we stayed in. I didn't take photos because I was tired. You know, life of a blogger isn't easy lol. After, we went to our resort and took a shower and rested since tomorrow is another day of adventures!
See where we're going tomorrow!

Day Three: April 2, 2021 | Balidbid Lagoon, Bantayan Island
Yesterday's adventure here.
I woke up around 8am, my younger brother wanted me to wake him up during sunrise but I wasn't able to wake up as well. Lol, we had our breakfast at the resort since the rooms we booked included free breakfast. We left the resort around quarter to 10 am to go to our destination.
Tumblr media
We went back to Balidbid Lagoon because we weren't able to come here yesterday only to find out that you can't swim at the lagoon (*face palm*) because of the current that is ongoing within the lagoon. But the good side is that beside the lagoon is the sea, so we just swam by the beach, enjoyed the sun and got some tan.
Tumblr media
We first had the beach all to ourselves until the boats that came from island hopping arrived. It was part of the tour as well to go see the lagoon but I decided to drive it since I'm the one planning for this trip. We decided to leave the place around 2pm to get some late lunch.
See here where we're going next to!

Day Two: April 1, 2021 | Dinner at Big Jel's Restomeat, Bantayan Island
Back story over here.
The places to eat here are mostly located in the town's center. It took awhile for my family to choose where to eat because my brother wanted to look for good restaurants (which means not expensive compared to our lunch).
Tumblr media
We walked around the place and most of the restaurants are full because when we arrived here, it was already past 7 which means it is dinner time and everyone is out eating as well.
Tumblr media
Thank God we were able to find an unli restaurant that served seafood (you can see in the first photo). But what really got the most is their scallops! I mostly ate scallops than the other food available.
Tumblr media
After dinner, my sister went out to look for buko juice because even in this island, it was quite hard to find vendors selling buko juice. My family had been craving buko juice the moment we arrived and idk why. It was very refreshing to drink buko juice. We talked for awhile and then went back to our resort to rest. Tomorrow's another day,
you can see here what we'll be doing!

Day Two: April 1, 2021 | Chill at Frio Lifestyle Cafe, Bantayan Island
We had our lunch here.
In the morning, as we were about to leave the resort to start our adventure, my dad bumped into one of his friends who apparently lived here in the island.
Tumblr media
He invited the family to go to his place although there was no said date. While we were eating our late lunch, dad decided to call his friend that we might be visiting and not knowingly realized that his place was on the way to Balidbid Lagoon. We stopped to say hi and then went to our destination. The road was rough which means not cemented and it was only one way. It was quite hard to go with the camper because of it's height. As I stopped somewhere because we couldn't fit the road, dad went to the entrance and it was about to close since it's almost 4pm.
Tumblr media
So, we decided to go back to the café of my dad's friend. We were surrounded by friends of my dad's friend because they were shocked about the camper. I mean who wouldn't be since it's the first one here in the Philippines, specifically in Cebu.
Tumblr media
While they were talking, the place had a view of the lagoon which is really big. We stayed long enough just in time for the sun to set.
Tumblr media
I did a little of vlogging because we stayed longer than I thought. We were able to meet with new people here. Mom said that dad's friends used to work in Siargao and make surf boards since he does surfing as a hobby. Ugh, the thought of Siargao is making me want to surf. Actually, if covid didn't happen last year, I would be in Siargao around June with the family and the Canadian crew and I would be able to sruf again. But no, that didn't happen.
Tumblr media
Here is a photo of Frio Lifestyle Café, make sure to stop by when you guys decide to go to Bantayan Island since people are very friendly. After this photo, we had to go back to the resort to take a shower and head out for dinner.
See here where we're eating our dinner!

Day Two: April 1, 2021 | Lunch at Café Mare, Bantayan Island
Where we were here.
For today's lunch, it's between Italian cuisine or Mexican cuisine. Of course, I let the whole family decide and they chose Italian cuisine and here we are now in Café Mare.
Tumblr media
So they serve pizza, pastas and whatever you can eat at an Italian restaurant. Their food is pricey because I was searching for restaurants using the Tripadvisor app and it is widely known to be more used by foreigners (so I guess to them it's cheap but not for my dad, lol).
Tumblr media
This is their entrance and it took us awhile to find it because it's not so clear. I had to park quite far since they didn't have parking nearby and that the restaurant is beside the road. As we were walking to the restaurant, my sister got cited by the local authorities because she didn't wear a face mask since she left it in the camper. So she had to pay three hundred pesos for her fine. It was a lesson learn indeed.
Tumblr media
I took a few pictures of the place and the food was served! I guess it was quick because we were the only customers here which is good. The place is open which means there is no aircon, a safe place against it (you know what I mean). I only ate the pizza because I don't feel like eating pastas. The price is expensive but their food is pretty delicious which maybe explains for the price. We didn't stay long because we got here around 2pm and it's a very late lunch for us and we finished by 3pm.

Day Two: April 1, 2021 | Paradise Beach and Sandira Beach
Wanna see the sunrise? Check it out here.
For today's first stop is supposedly Sandira Beach but unfortunately on the way there we got lost even when we used the Google maps. It was only supposed to be a twenty minute drive but took us almost an hour to get here.
Tumblr media
On the way to Sandira Beach, we decided to go to Paradise Beach instead because it was nearer and that my mom didn't trust the road to Sandira Beach. To top it all off, my mom's the navigator which she is really bad at. I'm never letting her be the navigator again.
Tumblr media
So as we arrived at Paradise Beach, we left the car there (as you can see in the photo below) and they have this open parking and that as soon as you go down, you had to swim because it was high tide. Little did we know that if you walked straight to where we were, it would be Sandira Beach.
Tumblr media
If I were to pick between the two, I guess it would be Sandira Beach because you have this small hut with chairs where you can put your stuff at. But marine life perspective, there were not much fishes. If you just want to enjoy white sand, this is a good place but for snorkeling, it is not.
Tumblr media
As the locals said that the best beach in Bantayan is Paradise Beach. Well, I guess I agree because you have this view, clear waters plus white sand beach. We only swam for awhile since everyone's starting to get hungry since we arrived here later than I planned.
See here where we're eating at!

Day Two: April 1, 2021 | Sunrise at Sta. Fe Beach Club, Bantayan Island
When we arrived here.
Being away from home means that your sort of out of your comfort zone. Sleeping here at our resort was a hard time for me because I wasn't used to their pillows. They have hard, fat pillows while I was used to soft, thin pillows.
Tumblr media
I woke up at 5:15am and feeling uncomfortable. I was supposed to go back to sleep but decided to go outside and check if the sun was rising and lo and behold, I am just in time. I immediately went back to the room to get my cameras. I got the dslr and the Go Pro because I came out with just my phone.
Tumblr media
As you can see in the photo above, you know where I'm sitting at (Hint: black tumbler). It was just me and my sister awake at this time. I took a time lapse of the sunrise using the Go Pro and can see it here.
Tumblr media
People started waking up since it was already morning. As the sun rose, I decided to go back in the room and sleep since it was already getting hot. It was around 6 am that I went back to the room and I woke up aorund 8 am for breakfast.
Tumblr media
So the resort we stayed at included free breakfast. I forgot the name of my order but it has pork in it. Their specialty herein Bantayan is their danggit. Danggit in English means salted sun-dried rabbitfish, it goes well with vinegar. Most of my family ordered danggit for their breakfast.
Tumblr media
After eating, it was time to prepare for our adventure today! This is the room I am staying in. This is one of their new buildings in the resort and has the minimalistic vibes to it.
For today's adventure, you can check it out here!
