This video is an incredible way to see translation in action! A poem about the ravages of war, originally written in Ukrainian by Serhiy Zhadan, translated into English by a Ukrainian-American who is himself a poet, Ilya Kaminsky, and THEN translated from English into Hindi by the brilliant Arun Jee. Thus the message can reach many millions around the world who would otherwise have been unable to understand it.
TRANSLATION IS VITAL.
Do watch. It's a wonderful reading.
