Summary:
Marine Biologist Link Neal didn't know what to expect when the military hired him for a deep-sea study. He thought he knew enough about the Earth, and the waters that cover most of it, to not be too surprised, but below the waves lies more than he could have ever imagined; more than he could ever realize, more than he had ever bargained for. Still there is one person at the ocean floor that might be more than he seems, although person might not be the right word.
So I saw John Carpenter's 'The Thing' in the theaters the other day. Highly rec if you haven't seen. The start had a few technological issues, however. It really set a whole different tone when, during the first five minutes, instead of the normal ominous music you only hear an upbeat jazz instrumental. They fixed it... eventually. Still, had a great time. 😀
Be careful who you get close to because when you do get close you start to grow together. You start to mix thoughts, ideas, and actions. Like how two plants growing next to each other have tangled roots. It can be the most enriching thing or the hardest thing to take apart.
