There’s something so inherently intimate about your partner kissing your forehead randomly as a comfort and as a silent ‘I love you’.

Getting done at the same time. One of you in the shower, one brushing your teeth, and the cute little smile you give each other when you meet each other’s eyes

Hi! Are you like back back now? 😇
Not completely, yet. I’m randomly really busy at the moment, but I am on here when I have breaks/free time

I didn’t just like their writing. It was beautifully written but also very… insightful in a way that I didn’t quite see coming.
When they were talking to their younger self it felt like they were talking to me (even though I’m older) and I don’t know if I was ready to hear all that but at the same time I really needed to hear all that. So thank you 🫶

I'm fighting with the girl I'm with, she keeps making the same mistakes, I don't know if I should jump ship or try to get used to some annoying things. help me 😭
Most date to marry, or at least with the prospect of long term in mind. With that I mind, think about whether you can live with those annoying things.
Not being able to live with certain things is okay, it doesn’t make us bad people. Sometimes it’s better to leave the relationship than stay and allow resentment to grow.
If you haven’t already, perhaps talk with her about alternatives (if applicable), one’s that you’d both be comfortable with.
When you think about what you’re going to do, maybe consider the good aspects of the relationship and consider whether you’re willing to stay for those good things while you two work through the other things. Maybe she’ll just need gentle reminders for a while before you don’t have to anymore.

Hey guys, I read this article by @charlieisacastle and really really loved it. It’s well written and really speaks from an interesting perspective that certainly speaks to a lot of people, but isn’t often mentioned.
I certainly lived the ‘It wasn’t an option for me’ experience, and the painfully gendered culture in my every day surroundings.
I 100% recommend reading this article, even if only to provide a different perspective.

Oh sh!t, wait, I was wearing rings earlier too and took them off before I took the picture 😖
For research purposes, on a scale from 1 - 10, how gay would you assume someone wearing this (see picture) is?
Also, do I look like a kid? 😭 (I’m in my 20s and teenagers are wearing clothes that make them look older and older, I’m tired of being mistaken for like 16 or smth).

Imagine sitting in a chair and they come up behind you, putting their arms over your shoulders in a lazy hug and rest their head against you. Your shoulders relax and you lean back into them as they just hold you, happy and comfortable where they are.

Afrikaans is such a cool language to me as a Dutch person. Obviously not historically speaking but in terms of linguistics it’s very interesting
Apart from the colonialism and slavery 🫣 I agree that it is actually pretty cool.
There were three native southern Africans who were highly proficient in language learning. They learned the Dutch language and brought it to their tribe. Through slavery, the Dutch started to become transformed and words from the slaves’ native languages (click languages, Malay, Arabic, etc.) made it into their language. For example, we use the word piesang for banana, which is from Malay. There’s also baadjie for jacket, which is, I believe, from one of the African languages.
At one point, Afrikaans was called kitchen Dutch because it’s what what spoken in the kitchens amongst the slaves.
Eventually though, (I forgot the proper term) the Dutch in South Africa claimed the new language as their own. Today, it’s a common misconception that Afrikaans is a white language, it’s actually a slave language.
When people contest my statement that it’s a slave language, I always make the argument that without the slaves’ influence, we would just be speaking Dutch like in South America with Spanish and Portuguese, and French in French-speaking African countries.

Hii how have you been?
I’ve been alright.
Everything’s just been crazy lately. Breakup, finals, minor concussion. Everything’s just building up, so I’m really looking forward to the holidays to just relax and let loose.
How’s everybody else doing?
