Happy Tokyoversary to myself today🥳🥳🥳 6️⃣ years! Belated post but, I got to go to Nihonbashi Pokémon Center and prance around the high end shopping district in Ginza w/ some of the crew to celebrate. We couldn’t get reservations at the Pokémon Cafe in time since they are booked at least a month out. Therefore afterwards we went to Gusto, a low cost restaurant that has these cute cat robot waiters. (And all you can drink vanilla matcha at the drink bar lol) I had a blast and hope that they did as well lol Once I graduate I will get back on taking proper moments to reflect, take vacations, and celebrate, but this is more than enough for now consideration the rough work schedule and demands of grad school. Left side is my previous favorite iridescent umbrella and right side is my new Pokémon umbrella. I went on a date (some time ago), and the guy wanted to TRY to be a gentleman and hold my umbrella. (There is a weird idea that to date American women you must be like a Hollywood-like gentleman / old school gentleman) I let him know it was my very favorite and a bit expensive and to please be careful with it. He was banging the end on the sidewalk repeatedly, dropping it repeatedly, not being careful or gentle and watching what he was doing, not letting me take it back from him, and eventually dropped it enough to chip the handle. It looks tiny but it kind of sharp and right where your hand rests. I was actually upset enough to ask him to replace it. He refused to replace it but somehow thought it was okay to continue to ask me to go to dinner. [How on earth did he think that was a successful date?]🌏❔ Good news is I love the #Pokémon one more and it’s sooo much more brilliant, better made, and was slightly cheaper.
