The Hotel Alex Johnson in Rapid City, SD is called a Curio Collection by Hilton. The hotel has been excellently remodeled with all the new modern conveniences. The Alex Johnson has comfortable beds, new flat screen TV's, new showers & tubs and great restaurants & bars with outstanding views. Travelers get their money's worth when they stay at the Alex. Most of the competing hotels in the area have similar amenities, however, here are two things that bring an excellent status to this hotel in my mind. First, Ray, the concierge, loves the hotel and people and he is more than willing to share the rich history of his hotel with you and help you enjoy your stay at the Alex. We enjoyed the historic pictures, carvings and a ballroom that once hosted a dinner for President Franklin Roosevelt. Ask Ray about the fireplace mantel in the lobby. Second, the Alex has a great location in downtown Rapid City which has a fantastic collection of full size statues of past presidents on almost every corner. Across the street from the hotel is a fantastic antique store. Next time you are in Rapid City, SD do yourself a favor and stay at the Hotel Alex Johnson.

Mission San Gabriel 60 years later.
When I was in 4th grade at Mulberry school I studied the California missions as part of learning about the great state of California. I must confess that a field trip to the Mission San Gabriel at just nine years old change my life regarding my Catholic faith. I have done a great deal of soul searching lately and have come to the conclusion my faith in Catholicism has never been stronger in the last 60 years of my life. The Mission San Gabriel is the embodiment of images, words, beliefs, people, ideas, and religious ceremony of the Catholic faith.

DELANYS antiques was started by Nadine and William Delany in 1970,while living in Limerick, Ireland. In 1970 They opened an auction room in Limerick Ireland, and held the esteem of being Limerick City's only auction rooms with an Antique Gallery attached. They imported containers of Antiques weekly from England and Scotland, holding weekly sales in our auction rooms.
In 1972 They began exporting Antiques to California. In 1977 William and Nadine moved with their three children to Palos Verdes, California. There we participated in Antique Shows throughout California & Arizona while having had Galleries in Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, and on El Paseo, Palm Desert,
They have now moved their聽 extensive collection to their new Gallery, located at 71-572 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Housing extraordinary and unique gifts from around the world , Including Asian, European and American works of Art. They also have an extensive collection of Quality Furnishings, Clocks, Bronzes, Paintings, Architectural & Decorative Items from the 18th, 19th and 20 th century.

The Blues Estate/Vintage Clothing Store is located in downtown Redlands. Jo & Kevin Walsh have been in business for over 20 years. They started off in 1992 on 6th Street around the corner in a 600 sq ft hole in the wall, buying and selling used Levis.
Today they are located at 114 E. State Street in a 4,400 sq ft building filled with Levis, vintage clothing, antiques, collectables, electronics, paintings and much more. They have a great selection of trendy items such as nostalgic posters, body jewelry, hair dye, costumes, and much more. They also carry afro wigs and costume items all year long.
The Blues Estate Store Specializes in purchasing estates and reselling the items in the store. They purchase one item, a truck load or even a house full. If you're moving, selling a home, down sizing, having a estate sale or garage sale you can call The Blues for a quote. They also work with attorneys and real estate agents to do clean outs where they clear out all the furniture and the belongings including the trash.
