Love in the Air (2022) - Review
When clouds in the sky and falling rain tease the two close friends in trouble, Rain and Sky, it takes them to meet Payu and Prapai, who are not only cunning saviours but also guys making storms in the two best friends' hearts. The war of love is about to take place in the warm spring, hot summer, lonely autumn and cold winter. How would the atmosphere of love be? Which way would their hearts wave and the air full of love take them to? (via MyDramaList)
Where do I even start with this one? Maybe with the fact that the synopsis only loosely relates to the story you actually get? Or the fact that unless you're a fan of the "pushy rich guy pursues shy/naive younger guy" trope this series definitely isn't for you. I normally don't mind this trope but something about the way it was executed in Love in the Air just rubbed me the entirely wrong way.
The series itself is basically split into two, the first half following the romance between Rain and Payu and the second following Prapai and Sky. In theory that's great especially because there isn't all that much plot that happens so why stretch it out more than necessary but somehow it still manages to fall flat anyway. Mostly because I felt like the writers were only able to write two kinds of main characters--pushy rich guy and naive, somewhat whiny, younger guy. The problem though is that in the first half where we focus on Rain and Payu, Sky is Rain's best friend and is set up as more of a voice of reason, levelheaded, smart and rather confident type of character, which is all fine and good until we switch to Sky's story with Prapai and his character changes entirely. Instead he quickly turns into the same character as we previously saw in the first half from Rain. And while the writers tried to explain that and gave him a very sad backstory that affects him a great deal still (I so dearly hoped that would make him a more interesting and layered character than Rain...it didn't), it still didn't really know how to make that work anyway.
The story between Rain and Payu starts out fun with Payu, as is typical for the trope, being "obsessed" with Rain and trying his darnest to get Rain to become equally as obsessed with him, fall in love with him, and just to play with him. They kind of bond over architecture, since that's Payu's day job and what Rain studies at university, but it's mostly just Rain making a fool of himself trying to get Payu, even though Payu has been his since the start since he'd already had an eye on him before they even met at the beginning of the series. Payu also works as a car mechanic and owns a shop with his brother, and he also works as mechanic for a rich boss and his bikes for illegal street races. I thought the street racing would play a bigger part in the story but besides being used as crutch for the third act drama in Rain and Payu's story, it wasn't all that important, at all. There was some character growth on Rain's part and overall their story was fine and sweet. Nothing too exciting or new, just fine. Visually the actors playing them fit together so that added to the enjoyment of watching them together.
Then we have Sky and Prapai. Their first encounter led to them hooking up and then having no contact for two months after. Much like with Payu, Prapai developed a "obsession" with Sky in that after their hookup he couldn't forget about him and couldn't hookup with anyone else anymore cause he kept on thinking about Sky and their magical encounter. So, perfectly timed, once the RainPayu storyline finished, Prapai asks Rain for Sky's number and their story begins. For most of their story Sky is not interested in being associated with Prapai whatsoever, constantly tells him to leave him alone, rejecting his advances and attempts to bond. (Trigger warning for SA) This is explained by the fact that Sky's previous boyfriend was a illegal racer as well who used Sky as a toy and eventually started to abuse him and ended their relationship by basically allowing his besties to SA Sky for his amusement while telling him just how bored he is of him and how useless he is. Understandably Sky still has horrific nightmares about it and doesn't trust Prapai even if solely because he is a racer as well. And because we're all adults here, no conversation about this happens until the last episode. After Sky gets nearly SAed by his ex once more. (Trigger warning over) How did the writers choose to deal with Sky's obvious trauma? A five minute conversation with Prapai afterward and voila, problem solved. Yeah I don't think so buddy.
As I mentioned before Sky quickly devolves into the same naive and kind of whiny character that Rain was previously, and the amount of times that Prapai touched his head in a way that I know was meant to be tender and sweet yet to me it just came across as almost patronising or like a older brother/father petting their younger brother/kid on the head. Generally I also didn't really feel their chemistry which was a shame.
Overall once the series finished, I was relieved that it was over. There was too little plot to fill 12 episodes despite the material they had and could've used. There were a lot of missed opportunities and some of the behaviours and tropes just drove me up the wall more and more as the story progressed. In short I, as well as Admin 2, did not have a fun time watching this and if it weren't for the fact that we watched it together and commented and laughed at it together, I would've probably not made it past the first or second episode on my own.
I'm really sorry to the person who left a comment that this is their favourite BL but for me/us it was unfortunately a miss.
From Admin 2 - I won't hide the fact that I like BL because there's a lot that's pleasing to the eye, it you know what I mean, and that BL as a whole showed me something I'd previously not seen/gotten from Western media to such an extent when it comes to queer stories. As proud ally I'd glad that we have something like this.
Because of that the first half of this series was fun for me since the actor playing Payu, "Boss" Chaikamon Sermsongwittaya, is really hot and handsome and in the car mechanic uniform with his half tied up hair he just looked wow, for a lack of better word. In contrast with the good university student Rain, they seemed exciting and believable and it was nice to look at them act together. They have chemistry. Their interactions seemed comfortable and looked natural so they weren't embarrassing/uncomfortable to watch which I can't say about Sky and Prapai.
After researching the world of BL I know that pair is very popular as BL ship but personally I don't see it and I'm not a fan. In my eyes they don't fit together and I also felt like both didn't enjoy playing these roles and especially the more intimate scenes. But I only talk about my own thoughts and I don't want to ruin anyones fun or anything. Without that feeling of believability and chemistry between the actors, I can't call the series good even if I thought the plot was good or whatever else. The choice of the actors for the main couples makes up a big portion of the success or failure of a show. Even if there wasn't that chemistry between them in the intimate scenes, it could've been remedied with other scenes that could've made watching more enjoyable overall, but unfortunately the focus was put more on the former and so it wasn't convincing at all to me. From research I also know that some fans have a ranking of best BL kisses that acts as almost like a way to decide whether or not a series was a success or not as a whole, and to me Sky and Prapai wouldn't rank anywhere on that list.
I haven't watched that many BL series yet and maybe my mistake was starting out this journey by watching series that set the bar quite high when it comes to the chemistry between the main pair (KinnPorsche) and now I automatically look for the same level of chemistry in other series and their actors as well. Because in these types of stories the chemistry is an extremely deciding factor.
They touched upon a very deep psychological issue in Love in the Air but it was shown in a very naive way and also acted very naively where Sky's trauma manifests in Sky acting naively like a child. It comes across too cartoony for both the severity of the issue and also his visuals as actor through behaviours. Likewise Prapai who's supposed to be the person to help him "solve" or overcome his trauma didn't convince me either. For me the trauma and issue they tried to touch on exceeded the skills as actors that the two actors have as well as the abilities of the writer. Which is a real shame because they could've done something really interesting with this.
And I agree with Admin 1 that we surely only had fun watching the show because we were watching it together.

Epilogue
I know we've already said our farewells but after todays BangtanB Admin 2 talked me into writing another tiny post because vmin. Truly as much as we weren't ready for the OT4 live, we hadn't been ready to get this BB so quickly, to see and hear them say goodbye to each other, or for Tae to quite literally apologise to Jimin for not being able to see him off the next day while Jimin told him he had nothing to be sorry for since he was going first.
Tumblr media
Seeing these two say goodbye to each other, it broke my heart on so many levels. Vmin being vmin aside, they are chingu and so incredibly close with each other, mean so much to each other, and yet because of damn enlistment they got separated. I'm glad though that Namjoon has Tae close to him, just like Namjoon said to Tae himself, and that they'll be able to see each other occasionally and perhaps have meals together, though they aren't training together. And before someone asks why Tae and Namjoon didn't use the buddy system like Jimin and JK did and tries to spin some annoying story in our messages, it's because Namjoon is too old for it.
Another tiny tangent I'd like to go on before I continue is that I implore all of you, and especially shippers of one particular ship, to stop romanticising the enlistment experience and all it entails. Enlistment isn't a fun little trip or vacation, it's an unjust gruelling and extremely hard time for all enlisted men. One of the translators for the English edition of the BTS book was asked by ARMY to translate Namjoon's letter on weverse but he declined to do so and gave a very nuanced and important explanation as to why. Please go and read it here. And before anyone comes (again) into our messages and claims I would speak differently if vmin went together, no I would not. This moment in their lives, the enlistment period, it fucking sucks. Plain and simple. We've seen what can happen with idols during enlistment, just look at Taemin's experience, so really, there is nothing nice and fun and chill about it. Or remember the incident with Seokjin and the nurse, hell knows what could've happened. It's hard and awful and it's unfair that after all that they have done, the members were put into a position where they knew there was no way they could not go, even if they would've been given an exemption because that's the kind of pressure they're under. We've seen how uncomfortable his shaved head made Jimin, how sad and devastated Jimin and JK looked in their final lives and in this BB. So set aside your delulu glasses and look at reality, especially as foreigners. We know nothing so let's not act like we know anything.
Anyway, seeing JK approach Namjoon, pet his head and then Namjoon turn around, his eyes turning all soft and fond as he realised it's JK and then enveloped him in a tight hug...and to think that's the hyung because of which JK even joined BH in the first place. My heart. And Namjoon, too, was sad that he wouldn't be able to see JK off the next day either.
Tumblr media
It was sad that we couldn't see Hobi, Seokjin, and Yoongi but we knew that would be the case from past experience. But it was nice to see JK sitting in the car talking and being obviously sad and then Hobi's hand appeared to pat his head to comfort him and JK closed his eyes to enjoy the moment and calm his emotions. Truly the bond the hyungs and maknaes have is beautiful.
Tumblr media
But with that the Tannies are all gone now and it'll be six months on the dot until Seokjin will be released and come back to us for FESTA 2024. But the members repeatedly said they've prepared lots of exciting things for us so we can look forward to that.
Tumblr media
And with this, we say farewell and we hope to see you again healthy and happy and doing well.
As for our blog, with Admin 2's plans for a BL break, we've started watching Love in the Air since it's a very popular BL. Once we'll finish it, we'll let you know what we think of it.

A Little Farewell
Tumblr media
With about a week left to go we had our final OT4 weverse live today and it's safe to say, we were not prepared. But I'm very grateful that they did a live all together giving us a last dose of chaos, cuteness and giggles before we'll be left to fend for ourselves for 6 months before Jin returns to us in June 2024.
The live truly was a beautiful gift that kept on giving starting with Tae's new short haircut and JK hiding his now shaved head from us, Namjoon even claiming that JKs hair is shorter than his own (JK supposedly felt inspired to shave his head a little early after he met Usher, who has pretty short hair himself, and went for it), and Jimin practically getting offended by a comment saying they wanted to see him with a buzzcut. To be honest Tae's cute little haircut looks a little like he did it himself in the dead of the night but it also makes him look like we traveled back in time to 2013 or earlier. Adorable. After so long it was really nice to see them together again, and to generally have more than one Tannie in a live together.
Since the first leaks about their military service appeared a few days ago we've seen vminies talk among themselves, and not to mention the near constant fighting that's been going on between the two xkook camps, but seeing vmin being so cute together in this live, it felt reassuring. Whatever questions or worries we might've had, they were washed away. In a way it makes sense that Tae and Jimin didn't go together, even if we all would've loved to see them go together and make use of the buddy system, but that isn't the choice they made for themselves and that's okay. It's easy to see what vmin are doing more than just fine and that's all that matters. Admin 2 really hoped we'd get a vmin handshake or hand holding, and we got two! I mean, look at all this cuteness:
Tumblr media
And then also Tae going home in five minutes flat and doing a small solo live which was basically just him being adorable and talking to Jimin, who was immediately in the comments, before leaving again. Love when we get to third wheel them, wow, I truly will miss that a lot.
At one point in the live JK mentioned that he'd wanted to go to the special forces as well, implying that for some reason he couldn't, which makes me wonder why. Was it because of his tattoos? Either way, it's nice that he'll instead get to go with Jimin and supposedly they'll be in the training camp where Seokjin is one of the trainers so that's cute.
Speaking of Seokjin, after so long it was adorable how often Namjoon brought up Seokjin in this live. Just Jin hyung this and Jin hyung that, very cute. And they also mentioned Hobi a bunch, how he's gotten cooler and more manly, which comes as a great reminder to basically all of us that the cute boys we've known until now, well, they'll probably fade away and get replaced by more mature versions of our beloved members in the next months and they'll return to us as a different set of Tannies. And that's okay. They're grown up men so it makes sense that eventually some of that aegyo cuteness will fade away and personally I'm very curious to see how things will turn out and what they'll be like in 2025.
And I'm very curious to see if idiots will respect Namjoon's and Tae's pleas for people not to show up for their entrance ceremonies. Especially since Namjoon asked for it in three languages to make sure everyone understood it. Unfortunately I have my doubts, since we know the maknae line have some of the most unhinged solos but here's hoping.
Tumblr media
Now, what does this mean for us now? Well, it'll be quite a while until we'll see the members slowly returning one after the other so we'd like to take this time for a 'official' hiatus as well. Admin 2 is considering a temporary "rebrand" into a BL blog since they've gotten into Thai BLs in the last year, so that's something that might happen. Would any of you be interested in something like that?
But we'll still be ARMY, still love vmin and namjin, and once the guys will return, so will we, so don't worry, we're not leaving BTS any time soon.
Lastly, here's a blurry screenshot of a coconut headed JK running across the screen screaming THIS WAS BTS. A beautifully chaotic ending to this solo era. Let's see what the next months will bring us and what 2025 will be like when chapter 2 will come to a close and a new chapter of BTS and ARMY will open, eventually.
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for reading!

VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED VMIN ARE IN LOVE VMIN ARE MARRIED
Oh Anon you're so real for this. Honestly anyone who dared claim 'vmin divorce' should be sued because what we got to see today? There was never any talk of divorce, ever, if anything there was a vow renewal haha
When we heard that Tae would have a fan meeting as part of his Layover promo, we joked around about how cute it'd be if Jimin would come as special guest but ultimately dismissed the idea. We didn't want to get our hopes up concluding that likely there would be no guest or it could be someone else. So imagine our endless surprise when suddenly pictures and videos hit the TL on twt showing Jimin up on stage with Tae. No joke, I nearly dropped my phone and then thought there's no way, I had to be seeing things. I mean, I was but my eyes were not lying to me. Introduced as his best friend.
Tumblr media
So not only did Tae's fan meeting give us Tae performing and having fun with ARMY, it also gave us Tae having fun with Jimin with ARMY. Jimin also spoke about how while preparing for today, Tae called him and asked him if he'd want to come so he'd asked if that would be okay, but in the end, he came as quickly as he could. And isn't that the sweetest thing? Having your first solo fan meeting and having your soulmate right there by your side to experience this with?
Please do check out this video of Jimin coming up on stage and Tae being so happy, it seemed like he didn't know what to do with himself and all this emotions so he smacked Jimin's ass, after Jimin cutely smiled at him, and then pulled him closer by the hip. Very vmin behaviour. Somebody hold me because I might combust.
Speaking of pulling people closer, we also got at least two endlessly adorable vmin hugs that had us yelling as well. The way Jimin closed his eyes? I cannot even.
Tumblr media
Tae and Jimin also played games with ARMYs, including one person who came dressed as Bart Simpson saying they did it simply because it hoped it would make Tae happy and smile. How sweet is that? That's the kind of things Tae deserves, ARMYs showing him just how much they love and appreciate him because truly, look at him and tell me how anyone can dislike him. They did challenges and played ping pong and even danced, including Tae and Jimin dancing to Go Go with Jimin looking at Tae as though knowing that Tae is their choreography memory king and obviously he remembered every step. And we also got this sweet moment of Jimin caressing Tae's head.
We also had Tae announcing unplanned things like them going to Running Men together as well as this:
Mandakkoo translation on twt: Tae: first of all...me and jiminie..will work on a much cooler song..... Jimin: ..if you're like this then u Really have to do itㅋㅋ he just keep- talking bout things like this y'knowㅋㅋ u really Have to do it then... Tae: ..alright!
Which was brought upon by Tae and Jimin spontaneously singing Friends together with them finally singing the You Are My Soulmate line together, being cute AF while doing so, and making everyone cry in the process of it all. Earlier Tae also had Jimin sit down and sang him happy birthday along with ARMY as surprise. So cute!
Tumblr media
How could these devastatingly cute smiles ever lie? Also the manager smiling at them, awww.
In the end, after their second super cute hug, with their arms still around each other, they sat down on the stage with their backs toward the audience so they could take a picture with ARMY to commemorate this day.
Tumblr media
And just as Jimin was leaving the stage, Tae called out his name and shyly did a cute heart pose for him and got a heart back.
Tumblr media
Generally there were just so many cute little moments that, after a year of comparatively barely any vmin, reaffirmed the fact that just because we don't see it, that doesn't mean it isn't there, as in, just because vmin don't constantly tell us about them hanging out or talking or doing something, that doesn't mean they don't still do that. Like that Jeju trip from which Tae posted pictures on his IG with Jimin and JK. If Tae didn't tell us, we wouldn't have ever known that this trip happened. Tae and Jimin were and still very much are soulmates, the vibe when they interact and look at each other so filled with mutual adoration and this soft spot they have for one another, and their bond is just as strong and beautiful as it was and will always be. As Tae said in the BTS book, Jimin is someone he can't live without and, from their TV appearance in 2021, Jimin is the person he likes the most.
Tumblr media
But speaking of Tae liking Jimin the most and whatnot, I thought this anon message we got yesterday also fit in with this quite well:
From Anon: Did you see taehyung once again showed jimin a piece of art, this time jimin as an elf? Imagine being the fbi agent responsible for monitoring taehyung's phone and everyday you go like ''here we go again'' when taehyung pulls up 10+ jimin fanart tabs again
For those of you who might've missed it, during his birthday live Jimin shared what looks like an AI piece of art depicting Jimin as elf in a fantasy setting. He said Tae was the one who showed it to him and it made him giggle so much! Later as part of his public birthday wishes to Jimin, Tae posted another piece of AI art of Jimin this time as hunter/warrior also in a fantasy setting. This makes this the second and third time we've heard and seen Tae spend time on Jimin fan art since the moon tattoo on Jimin's back was also inspired by a piece of Jimin fan art that Tae had sent to him saying how cool it looked.
Tumblr media
There were also a few silly little theories about what if Tae made those fantasy AI Jimin's himself, since some time ago he'd asked about a program or something to do this, but if that's what happened, who knows, but the thought is very Tae.
So yeah, after a long time without vmin, today was a day that just kept on giving and I hope Tae and Jimin got to have that drink they mentioned they would get together after the fan meeting. What a day to be a vminnie, wow.
Lastly there was this twt that I very much agreed with so I thought I'd share, it said: the way taehyung is so overjoyed that jimin is here with him? if he was any more giddy in love i’m positive he would’ve kissed jimin there and then
What a mood.

Vmin at Tae's Music Bank pre-recording
Negative people: vmin are over, move on, delulus.
vmin: hold my beer.
They truly get you when you least expect it, don't they? Just when I was sure we wouldn't get any vmin interactions beyond Jimin posting on IG, Jimin showed up to support Tae at his Music Bank pre-recording. And like that wasn't enough, we got so many cute interactions (Tae saying that Jimin came beautifully, don't mind if I scream) and things because of it, even if we didn't get to see them and only have what K-ARMYs shared with us. But what they shared? Truly brings me back to the best of times.
If you'd like to read all the translations, here's a thread.
And add to that the fact that Tae was recording For Us with a moon as stage decor when Jimin showed up. And the fact that when Jimin was sad he'd missed Slow Dancing, Tae decided to perform it again for Jimin. The finger hearts. The cuteness.
Tumblr media
At one point Tae supposedly mentioned how he didn't bring Yeontan with him this time (unlike his performance here where he had Yeontan's debut) and said, jokingly, that maybe next time he could have ARMY next to him. Then he asked if there's anyone there with the stage presence and whatnot who'd want to do it. Lots of hands were raised before ARMY started calling out Park Jimin, Park Jimin!
Well, Tae did end up saying he'd consider it so who knows, maybe one day we'll get vmin together again. Preferably before 2025/26, but I don't want to be too greedy.
And of course, how could I forget, Tae calling Jimin 'my testicle'. You did read that right, yes. I'm not making it up, I swear.
Tumblr media
To Jiminie To my friend Jiminie, my testicle <3 (x)
Apparently it should be 'testicle friend', meaning a very close friend, like a childhood friend, but Tae left out the friend. It's giving me 'my dear calves' vibes. Very Tae. Love it. Truly wouldn't be vmin if we didn't get something like this.
And at the end, as they were leaving the building, we got a vmin hug as grand finale. Admin 2 thinks that the way Tae looked as they walked outside was very indicative of why we barely ever, or rather never, see vmin in the wild, (it's like that time years ago when they were at the airport and vmin came around the corner with Tae having his arm around Jimin's shoulders, but as they stepped into the space where people could see them, he immediately took his arm away and had the same deer caught in the headlights kind of look on is eyes/face as he did when they left the KBS building after the pre-rec) and also that it looks like Tae was giving Jimin hand signals a la I'll see you later. Like maybe they had plans for later or something?
Tumblr media
Either way, this pre-recording truly was a gift that kept on giving.
And let's also not forget all the 95z appreciation from the press headlines reminding everyone that yes, 95z are and always will be love and soulmates.

Taehyung's beautiful "Rainy Days" (Song Analysis)
*taps mic* is this thing on?
Well...it's been a while, hasn't it? We've been silent but we are still very much around, still listening to the Tannie's music, watching all the content, still loving vmin and namjin, we watched all streamable D-Day concerts, the Disney+ movies, all of it, we've just basically been keeping our ARMY time to ourselves.
But then came Tae.
But then came Rainy Days. And we were lured back here to scream a little at what we've gotten.
And yes, before the inevitable anons come to try and discredit everything in this post, yes we are aware that (so far) Tae doesn't have any writing credits on the songs on Layover, Love Me Again and Rainy Days. But try as you might, no one can ignore just how vmin coded Rainy Days is and how specific some of the references are. Everyone picked up on it, regardless if they were a vminie, OT7 non-shipper, or even a xkooker. Posts crying about and pointing toward Park Jimin being the one were everywhere and honestly, I've missed moments like there.
So, Rainy Days, huh, let's talk about the vmin references, shall we?
youtube
First of all, can we talk about just how gorgeous and atmospheric Rainy Days is? And how very Taehyung it is? Because it just fits him truly so perfectly, just like Love Me Again does. I love how the soft mellowness of the song contrasts with the brutalistic architecture of the building shown in the MV, the old-school iMac, and the little Pomeranian acting as Yeontan. I did get tricked into thinking it was Yeontan until Tae did his live and told us, nope, that's Rocky, a doggy looking very close to how Yeontan does since he couldn't travel with Tae. We know Yeontan has health issues, so I should've guessed as much, but either way, it is absolutely adorable how much love for Yeontan is in Tae's debut as solo artist. Find you someone that'll love you as much and as deeply as Tae loves Yeontan. I'll wait.
I love the use of the iPhone sounds within the song, the notification tone as well as the typing sound, though it isn't very fitting (it also reminds me of vmin, how they enjoy FaceTiming, texting and calling each other) for someone who was the Samsung Galaxy ambassador ha ha. Wonder what Yoongi had to say about that.
But moving along to the lyrics, as well as two moments from the MV itself, there are a few vmin references that are hard to ignore. And they were "obvious" enough that basically everyone picked up on them.
The first little thing, and this one could very well be a reach, is this Little Prince/Jimin connection. In the MV Tae falls asleep watching TV and we're shown clips of a fox and a flower which immediately made everyone think of the fox and flower from the Little Prince, and then also the moment in the first season of In the Soop when Tae and Hobi went on their little trip and spotted a mural/poster for the Little Prince. Adorable.
Tumblr media
Then in the second verse we have Tae singing the following line:
We can start again, open all the doors
The mention of doors made me perk up because it instantly reminded me of this line in Sweet Night:
That I still hope the door is open
So it feels like, if Rainy Days really is a vmin song, it would either play before Sweet Night, or after, when something came between them but Tae wanted a second chance, still had a hope that they could be together and that all things aren't lost yet.
Tumblr media
Now this, who do we know basically laughs at anything and everything Tae says, who has mentioned time and again that Tae is the funniest, like in one of the RUN episodes he mentioned how Tae had been making him laugh all day as well's throughout the filming? That's right, our boy Jimin.
Don't believe me? Well, check out this thread and see for yourself.
Next we have the line:
You're my four-leaf clover
Do I really need to explain this one? In a BB or memories DVD, I don't remember exactly, we had a moment when Tae was looking for a four-leafed clover and Jimin, to surprise and make him happy, went and acted as though he'd found one for it (though it wasn't a real four leaf one) which made Tae happy anyway. Years later for their performance of HOME, standing in front of what appeared to be a reference to the Mirror or Erised, we saw vmin wearing matching four-leaf clover necklaces with Tae appearing next to Jimin as though he was what Jimin's heart desired the most.
Tumblr media
Then in the MV we have a scene where Tae is in some kind of art room creating. Eventually he picks up a baguette, which points for originality, and uses it to paint a Vante art piece showing a painting that looks like an alien with its little antennas. And who reclaimed the alien "nickname" just a few years and and who is basically the only one who can still call him that? Exactly. Jimin.
Tumblr media
Speaking of whom, further in the lyrics we get this line:
Those hurtful words
And sure, perhaps I'm delulu and reaching, whatever, let me have fun, but still that line reminded me of something. FESTA 2020 where Jimin spoke about how he was sorry for the things in the past, how they were buddies back then (I'm still waiting for him to elaborate on that one, they were buddies back then so, Jiminie, what are you now? Care to share?) and got into a lot of disagreements and how he now feels sorry for the harsh words he used with Tae. And Harsh words can very much be hurtful. So another potential reference?
Tumblr media
At the end of the day, as I mentioned before, Tae doesn't have writing credits on Rainy Days but, as you just read, those things just fit a little too well to be just a coincidence, right? So perhaps, just like they'd done with Chingu years prior, maybe Tae sat down with the producers/lyricist and told them what he wants in the song?
And that would be it. We're both extremely excited for the rest of Layover, for the next 3 (!!!) MVs, and all the promo Tae mentioned he has planned (based on ideas and things he saw ARMY had mentioned wishing for) and if he'll have writing credits on any of the songs. But it is a little strange to me how Tae has been so outspoken about working on and writing songs for his mixtapes for years, how he'd shown us snippets from his songs, and yet now as we are getting his debut album, no writing credits (so far). Guess we shall wait and see.

BTS can finally come out now that being gay is legal in SK. Actually they better do. I won’t stop telling that on Twitter until they see it. Enough w the drama and gay baiting for years now. ALL 7 of them.
Out of all the asks we've received over the years, this one truly takes the crown as the most disgusting and entitled one. Are you out of your mind? No, like, I mean that seriously, because not only did you completely misunderstand what happened but you are also trying to force people who owe you nothing except for new music eventually, at their own pace, into outing themselves for no reason other than because you want them to. Do you see how entirely fucked that is? Like pardon my language but I'm so pissed off, especially after the news about Namjoon earlier today, that I really don't feel like being polite at all.
South Korea did not legalise same-sex marriage, they didn't pass a law to recognise same-sex couples the way they do with straight couples. What they did was grant a same-sex couple equal rights to healthcare as those given to straight couples, which in the context of the LGBT community and South Korea is a major step that hopefully one day will lead to a better future for the queer community over there. You can read a more detailed articles about it here.
It is entirely fucked to think that the hard work of queer activists who are risking their lives to fight for a better future for their fellow queers has anything to do with idols, and the fact that your first thought is how BTS have to do this or that because of it merely shows how disconnected you are from reality. Regardless of the law, BTS could come out if they wanted to, if they saw a reason or need to, but they did not and chances are they will not. And you know why? Because of entitled people like you. And because they are humans just like us who deserve their privacy and live their lives in peace without the whole world looking down upon them like they're specimens being studied or animals in a zoo.
Even if all seven were truly queer, there is no law or reason why any of them would have to or should come out. It's an extremely personal matter and one that has nothing to do with their occupation, being idols and musicians. What does their sexuality have to do with their music? Nothing.
As for drama, you know who causes that? Toxic and delulu shippers, most of whom are straight themselves, fighting about things they've mostly made up in their heads themselves and convinced each other of it. Sure, maybe this is a case of pot calling cattle black, but I've never claimed to know anything for certain and I would never, ever, think I have any right to know the truth, let alone feel entitled to it or want to fight people over it. But there are people who feel entitled to outing their ship, to forcing them into admitting something that likely isn't true, and are willing to wage war against anyone who disagrees and even throw members of their ship under the bus if they act differently than what shippers want. Those people are the problem. But those people have nothing to do with the reality of queer people. If anything those are the people that show the queer community that we are nothing but a gimmick to them, a toy to play with and punish if we don't act right. And things will never change if people continue acting that way.
What Korea did is a great thing, a beginning especially during the time of an administration that is completely disconnected from reality and pushing agendas that are truly baffling at the best of times, so instead of trying to weaponise the results of brave queer activist in a country hellbent on shunning them, sit you ass down, shut up, and stop conflating real life issues and happenings with fantasies of delulu shippers and lives of people we have no right to.

From anon: hi <3 i wanted to ask u a question for a while but i was a bit nervous to ask, i hope it's okay i send this to u. i'm new here (well 3 months old army/vminie/namjinist) and u seem very wise and like u've been in the fandom for a while. now with the ''break'' i feel like there are more fanwars, even on nonship posts. i saw a post today with a vid of 1 person falling while carrying a bouquet and their lover trying to help them and falling too (it was by a t*egi acc btw, t*egi shippers seem so nice and chill) and the acc said ''this is vmin''. it had a bunch of replies and qrt's and i kid you not, each last one was complaining that it should be j*k*ok instead. i've seen many vminies targeted lately by j*k*okers (and t*ek*okers) even on harmless nonship posts. it makes me sad so i wanted to ask, does this always happen more during breaks? will it go away soon or get worse?
Welcome, welcome, dear new ARMY. Thank you for reaching out to us, and really theres no need to be nervous at all. We’re all very friendly on this blog. :)
I’ve seen the video you mentioned, and I’ve also seen the replies and honestly after years in the fandom, I can’t say that I was at all surprised by it. Lately things haven’t been great in the shipper corner, for vminies and namjinists alike, actually. But, to be entirely honest, this is neither new nor is it something that’ll ever stop or change. If anything, depending on what Tae or Jimin or JK do, things get worse and then even worse than that, because it seems like xkookers are unable to see our beloved maknaes interact without losing their minds for one reason or another.
The only thing we can really do is the same thing I always advice people to do - report and block toxic accounts and curate your space accordingly so being ARMY is fun instead of being caught up in a cycle of toxicity. Because it is a cycle, the same arguments and fights happen again and again like clockwork regardless if it’s ship related or not. Now that the break is happening and will continue until (at least) 2025, chances are eventually some might get bored and move on if they stop getting content and new stuff to argue about, but who knows what’ll happen.
As long as you stay away from the toxicity, being ARMY, as well as vminie and namjinist, is really fun and the community is really friendly and full of creative and kind people. So I hope, dear new ARMY, that you’ll be able to create a space for yourself that’s more positive and fun.
And at the end of the day, vmin continue to vmin and doing what they do best, being the wonderful and cute soulmates that we adore, so there’s really no need to worry about what fights happen somewhere again since those don’t have any influence on vmin (or namjin) anyway.
95z is love and no toxic fights on twt can change that.

Hey everyone!
We’ve recently set up a discord server for those who’d like to talk about vmin (and namjin), BTS, any new and old content as well as music, with us (and each other) while we’ll be waiting for an OT7 spring to come in these next many, many months that await us during the enlistment era. If you’d like to join, send us a message and we’ll give you the link. Perhaps it’ll make the time when we’ll miss them a little easier.

Let’s talk: Busan and what came after
by Admin 2
Hi guys!
After waiting in a limbo for four years we finally got the answer, being that the members will go to the military after all, as announced by HYBE a few days ago. I have a feeling that everything is slowly coming together like a puzzle into one whole picture. Of course we could speculate in which order they’ll go, who will go to which type of service and for how long, but I don’t think there really is any true point in that, instead it’s better to just wait and see. We’ll find out soon enough. One thing is clear that Jin will begin this new phase since we will have to say goodbye to him before the end of the year, by the end of this month even. Because of that we’ll be getting Jin’s solo song, The Astronaut, very soon.
With Admin 1 we had a few speculations about the song, the most logical (based on both going to LA at the same time, more or less) that Namjoon would be involved in the song, but we certainly didn’t see Coldplay coming at all. It’s yet another surprise no one had any idea about which only goes to show, once again, that speculating is fun but ultimately pointless. We’ve read at least snippets of the lyrics that were revealed with the album last night and it’s so romantic, and of course officially it’s said to be for ARMY but unofficially? We’ll never find out. So here, too, we won’t speculate about the song but instead wait until the song comes out next week and we get to listen to it and find out more about it from Jin. But looking at stores in our area it’s a bit shocking to see that Jin’s single album will cost about as much as WINGS does. Nonetheless we’re very curious about the song, its MV, and the pictures within the album.
And now a few words about what we got to see last week below the cut:
Starting with Jimin’s birthday. We might not have made a post about it, like we didn’t for JK and Namjoon either, but of course we wished him a happy birthday on social media and thought about him lots. We both thought Tae wouldn’t post anything again, just like he did last year, so we were only so much more surprised that he posted something and that he was the last one. Finally we got another vmin selca which made both of us yell in joy and surprise, even more so when looking at Tae’s emoji choice. And then to make it even more WOW Jimin reposted the wishes to his IG story, the first time he’s ever posted one (and he didn’t repost anyone else wishes, just Tae’s), and Tae went on to like Jimin’s birthday post on IG. The next day Tae also posted a picture of a Jimin bus with Jimin’s head in the frame as he was looking out of the window at the bus. So many cute interactions.
The Busan concert. Unfortunately neither of us was in Busan so we watched the livestream instead which meant that we, too, had to suffer through weverse and naver giving up and thus missed out on at least 3 songs which was very upsetting. So we’re thankful to vminies who were at the concert who caught all the cute vmin interactions and shared them with us, especially since there was quite something to catch.
As for the whole group itself, they presented themselves quite maturely and powerful on stage. You can feel that they are grown men and not a group of boys anymore. Sure there is still that freshness and enthusiasm for performing and giving their best, that they are still loving it and having fun, but their behavior and visuals have evolved and matured alongside them.
Since Tae is my bias I’ll start with him and I’ll admit that I’m very proud of Tae, who in my opinion has evolved quite a lot vocally since we last heard him at the Las Vegas concerts. He’s truly using his voice like an instrument and in a way that he knows exactly how to move us emotionally and how to touch us. His voice is completely different from the other members. I’ve seen a few snippets from the rehearsals where Tae showed us his opera like singing and it was brilliant, if he wanted to, he could take up a role like that, too.
All the members were brilliant, really. It was sad though that Jin had issues with his throat leading up to the concert and you could see it in a few spots that his throat was giving him a bit of a trouble still. I certainly didn’t expect him to announce that he would have a song next, since word was that it would be Namjoon or Yoongi, but it was a very pleasant surprise that had us very excited.
Speaking of Namjoon, I’m not sure where to start. Be it his mature look or his incredible stage presence that’s truly unmatched. Namjoon, more and more with each concert, grows when it comes to his presence and the way he carries himself, so much so that it seem like he’s more confident about himself and his looks, his talents. His aura is very striking. Along with Yoongi he doesn’t need to do much on stage and yet he still commands your attention effortlessly. The whole package he presents is truly something else and in a way it only makes me so much more excited for whatever he has waiting for us when it comes to his solo work in the future. I’ll admit that after Tae, Namjoon is next in line visually for me. He’s gorgeous, but a tiny bit less than Tae since Tae is above everyone.
As for Yoongi and Hobi, when those two stand on stage alongside Namjoon, it’s an absolute feast, it’s like a heavy train that gets more and more momentum and takes you along for an unforgettable ride. I love those three together on stage. I don’t know how Yoongi manages to rap so fast without getting out of breath or looking like it takes any effort at all, and how someone as small as him can fit just that much energy and power into himself. And also how much someone so calm and kind and warm can still also have this force that’s very much to be reckoned with inside of him. Hobi, after releasing Jack in the Box and performing at Lolapalooza, has gained even more confidence and transformed his presence. The choices that were made when it came to his outfits and his hair, truly whoever decided that style for him deserves a raise because he was absolutely impeccable.
JK like JK was solid as he always is and didn’t disappoint in any kind of way. Unlike many, or most, I didn’t quite like what was done to his hair for the concert, but each their own. He, too, stood very maturely and confidently on stage and was eye-catching in his presence and vocals.
Jimin. You could still see that happiness from his birthday and from being in his hometown radiate off of him and carry him across the stage with so much energy and that signature dancer prowess. He was in his element beginning to end and didn’t falter even once, and he got so happy and surprised when ARMY started to sing Happy Birthday for him, albeit very out of sync but that just adds to the charm. And as much as I like black haired or blond Jimin, I don’t quite understand his current hair color choice and when I saw him with his hair hidden I quietly hoped he might’ve changed it, which he obviously didn’t. But the hairstyle itself suits him so well and I really like this longer hair on him a lot.
Vmin at the Busan concert. I don’t even know where to start but fkdmwexf While all the members were doing their proper ending pose for RUN BTS, it seemed like vmin were overcome with joy and the need to share that with each other since, instead of doing the pose as well, they decided to hug and then seemingly fall to the floor together once the lights were off. No idea what else they were doing, if anything, but the fact itself just left us speechless and gave us butterflies. But I’ll admit that as much as that made me, as well as Admin 1, scream and squeak in excitement, just like many other smaller interactions that vmin shared, my absolute favorite moment was during the dance break in Butter. When they danced with Hobi, Tae and Jimin shared these big, happy, radiant smiles with each other. And another one that also made my heart flutter was when Jimin smiled at Tae and Tae got so cutely flustered and shy. And vmin were just so vmin during this concert. They were just so happy to be on stage and to share this with the members and each other. You could just see that they were simply doing this for each other, and that’s just so cute and this wonderfully gentle thing between them, so wrapped in fondness and the uniqueness of their bond.
Tumblr media
Let’s not even talk about their interaction during Zero O’Clock during rehearsals where they first held hands (where it also looked for a moment like Jimin wanted to kiss Tae’s hand), then Tae caressed Jimin’s cheek and then pat his head before walking away before turning back and smiling back at Jimin, because I have no words still. It was just something they did for each other and not for the audience since there was none, except for their staff, since it was a rehearsal after all. From what we could see of the rehearsals there were quite a few interactions between them, ranging from just shared glances to actual small touches and silliness. It just highlights once again how close they are.
Tumblr media
And then once you use hindsight and look at those moments with the knowledge we have now, as in that this was their last concert as seven until 2025 because of enlistment, then that only makes them that much more special. Their emotions must’ve been crazy and to know that they felt the need to share those moments with each other and make them their own, especially in Jimin’s hometown just after Jimin’s birthday, it truly shows you that there is no other bond quite like theirs.
Perhaps we should also soon talk about Jimin’s photobook since I have a lot of thoughts and theories on it, but that’ll come next time.
Lastly shout out to Admin 1 for editing this post a little which didn’t have any influence on the actual content just the language. Since they have more of a way with words than I do.
Talk to you next time!

Let’s talk: The Rumor
Hi guys, again, Admin 2 here.
We got a lot of questions, nice and less nice ones, about the Tae dating rumor and its connection to Vmin. Just based on the questions and the tone they’re written in, this whole gotcha atmosphere they all have about how “ha! didn’t we tell you vmin is bullshit because Tae is straight”, you can conclude how many people would love for this rumor to be true because it would perfectly fit into their agendas.
That’s why I won’t get too deeply into it or deeply philosophize about the pictures and whether or not it’s possible or not, and instead under the absence of the more soft spoken admin 1, I will simply write what I think. While highlighting that this is just my opinion and no one is forced to believe it or even agree with it.
Let’s start with what I’ve mentioned before, the fact that I’m someone working in graphic design and therefore know what editing and falsifications possibilities different programs give you. And I have to admit that the pictures are, already upon first glance, so obviously fake so I was surprised why people actually even just for a moment thought they’re real.
Secondly, I won’t beat around the bush and simply say that I think that, with such naively, immaturely, and badly made pictures and the narratives being spun around them, I doubt any agency or person with proper money stands behind this because if they did, they would hire someone who would edit these pictures in a way that would make them undoubtedly real looking with no room for arguments.
Therefore, as someone who likes to look around all corners of social media, like I’ve mentioned before, I think that this whole thing about Tae and Jennie is simply a creation of rivaling shippers, especially J/*k/*ok ones. And I know many people will get very offended by this statement, but I’ve seen a lot of people who, to say it carefully, go to extreme lengths in their delulu and their sick obsession, and it’s exactly those kind of people that are the ones pushing this the most since they very much want Tae to be straight and with someone, literally anyone, other than Jimin. They see him as too big of a threat so they’re trying to push him onto someone else because if he’s out of the picture their ship can happily exist and they will get their gotcha moment against other maknae line shippers which they’ve waited almost a decade for.
Because of all that, along with the statement HYBE posted, I don’t see any reason to further think, analyze, talk or interact with this false rumor at all. If any of this were true, I think Tae would be more likely to say something or give a solid hint, even if only out of respect toward his partner and his feelings for them (instead of making a shocked weverse post about how scary IG is after accidentally following their now supposed partner there, or wearing a Your Dog Isn’t My Dog shirt).
Why do people constantly ask for a HYBE statement (one exactly phrased and written the way they demand it to be because no other one is valid in their opinion)? Why should HYBE make a statement about dumb shipper rumors, after all K-Pop lives based on those, and these Tae x Jennie rumors, theories and edits have existed for years, just like JK x Lisa or Rose ones or Jin x Jisoo ones, as examples. Besides if this rumor really were to cause harm to someone (or someone’s business/money) or were happening in spite of things, there would’ve long been a reaction, like last year with HYBE reacting fairly quickly to the Tae x Joanna rumors.
Tumblr media
I’m not writing this because I want to prove that Vmin are together or anything like it, instead I’m doing it because this rumor is so annoying since it’s currently being basically forcefully pushed by weird people and brand new accounts and a “leaker” who’s changed their narrative about a hundred times by now despite what HYBE said. No PR company hired by agencies with budgets like YG or HYBE would be this incredibly sloppy. There’s enough accounts on Twitter alone who cosplay as HYBE staff, fictitious family members or friends, who push false narratives and informations all solely based around their own agendas, usually dictated by their own shipping or hate biases. And that’s how I see this rumor as well.

Hi guys!
Since Admin 1 is very busy with work and dating their soulmate, the one writing todays post, and the one taking responsibility for its contents, is Admin 2. This isn’t about any one specific thing but I simply wanted to give you a sign that we’re still around, assure our fellow vminies that we still very much follow vmin and watch over what they’re up to and we’ve very much not lost any kind of faith in their bond or started to doubt what we’ve laid out across all the posts on this blog. Quite on that contrary, actually, we’re been rather satisfied as we’re watching vmin in recent months.
Writing this post today was also sparked by someone in our ask box, but more on that later.
Let’s begin at the beginning.
Like I said we’re still avidly watching and following what BTS are up to, as well as the members individually, especially Tae, Jimin, Jin and Namjoon, since those four are the ones that our blog focuses on most. A few months have passed since the FESTA dinner and time shows us exactly what I thought about vmin in the last few years and in recent times. Judging by how vmin present themselves and support each other in their individual activities I don’t have any doubt that, and still uphold my opinion that, vmin are the closest bond within the group and I think the bond will continue thriving and getting closer. What led me to that conclusion was watching what’s been going on and through that observation a lot of what we saw already in the past (end of 2019 and onward) have gotten a new/deeper meaning and it also elevated the meaning behind the words between and actions between vmin.
I mean that vmin (+Hobi once) were the ones who mentioned wanting the group to remain together for a long time/forever the most, or even were the only ones to do so repeatedly in such a manner. Tae said he wanted to see the members until their end and Jimin even claimed (jokingly) he would be willing to take over the leader role and how it would be great if the group would still live together and keep creating music together for a very long time. That also heavily reminds me of what vmin said in Friends where Jimin asks Tae to stay with him even after the fame will be gone. So it’s easy to see that Friends being on MOTS7, now knowing that the band was originally supposed to go on hiatus after MOTS7 and its tour, now takes on an even deeper meaning than the song already had when we analyzed it in the past. So vmin and only vmin mark their bond between them with the want of staying together forever publicly. All gestures between Jimin and Tae in Bon Voyage 4 and things that came afterward, like holding hands on the airport at the end of December 2019, “this is my love for you” from the behind the scenes of the 100th RUN episode when Jimin gave Tae a bunch of heart shaped balloons, Tae’s 95z is love comment on weverse, show a want to mark just how special their bond is during a time when they used to think that the end of chapter 1 was approaching (before the pandemic came and changed everything).
Of course I don’t want to negate the bond between all the seven members because it’s very much there and strong and will also be something that’ll stick with them forever, but vmin are the only ones who in such a manner underlined their subunit within the group.
Everything that happened later, all our posts, our analysis, all moments between vmin and other duos, they also get put in a somewhat different light now that we know things that we didn’t know yet back then.
What I’m trying to say is that, despite the group being in its second chapter and working on their individual projects, vmin still stick to each other in their own ways and support each other, like Jimin quickly ending his live yesterday because Tae was about to go on air and so he wanted to send ARMY over so they would listen and support Tae. Or in the previous live Jimin did when Tae came by to comment along and how they agreed to do a video call right after and whatnot. Those are all signs for me that we have no reason whatsoever to worry or doubt vmin, and there’s even less of a reason to pay attention to weird behaviors and thoughts from other shippers or individuals who can’t quite deal with their half of vmin interacting one way or another with others, or the strange and fabricated rumors floating around. There’s no reason at all to doubt Tae’s words about liking Jimin the most, because their bond is unique and special.
Furthermore I wanted to add that, since I’m a Tae bias, am very much annoyed about the rumor that I think is simply stupid and baseless.
I’d also like to say that we’ve made many individual observations about vmin but there are no reasons and there’s no need to write out each of them and support it by some kind of comparison, the way other shippers feel the need to each time, so we will keep that to ourselves. What vmin are doing is more than enough on its own.
If you really listen to what vmin say (without leaving out or twisting the context) and do, then a lot of the noise from other shippers stops holding any kind of meaning or importance and instead simply fades somewhere far into the background.
Personally I’m very curious to finally find out a date or hint or anything when it comes to when we might finally hear something from Tae music wise that I could look forward to, but even here Tae is showing us his independent personality and the fact that he won’t allow others to pressure him into delivering something before he is entirely satisfied. Which of course also makes me happy, because if we finally get to hear any of it, I’d want it to be exactly what Tae wants it to be and how he wants it to be. So I’ll continue to patiently wait.
At the same time I’m also curious about what kind of music we will get from Jimin. His photofolio already was quite the surprise look wise, since I’ve never seen Jimin as harbinger of chaos (he was a tattoo in one of the pictures that says Tailor of Chaos) so I was rather surprised to see him presented/presenting himself this way. So after that I’m even more curious about his music, especially after we’ve seen the different producers that flew to Korea to work with him.
Next I’d like to talk about Hobi, especially since we know he’s quite close with vmin and we know both of them supported him a great deal during his solo activities, especially when he was performing at Lollapalooza. For me Hobi’s album and the performance were truly the event, the moment. Personally I’m extremely happy that Hobi finally got the recognition and the status he rightfully deserves. At the same time I’m also happy that we could get to know Hobi in ways we haven’t quite before, like finding out that Hobi is just as much of a social butterfly as Tae and has a gigantic social circle of friends and acquaintances across different fields. Jack in the Box was like the music moment of this year and I love it so much.
And now lets get to the point that inspired me to want to write a post after a rather long time. As in the anon message we got in our ask box about Namjoon.
Dear anon I assure you I care a great deal about Namjoon, I respect and cherish him a lot, and that we even have a lot of hobbies and interests in common. Through the art that he shows us we can find out a lot about Namjoon the person, his thoughts and feelings, and also through that I feel close to him, in a way. And as such, I cannot imagine how someone can look at this very intelligent person that is Namjoon, who you claim to care about so much, and truly think he would go and post this mysterious boyfriend you claim he has on his social media with stickers over his face. BTS keep their privacy safe for a reason to the point that we literally know nothing expect for the few things they tell us themselves, and yet still Namjoon would go out of his way to post his boyfriend with a covered face?
I still stand and agree with what Admin 1 said in their post about this topic, as in that either these are his friends, a manager or other type of staff, or a trusted family member, and they surely aren’t someone he stands in a romantic connection with Namjoon, which is why Namjoon sees no reason not to share them with us with their faces covered. What I’m saying isn’t leaning on my thinking that namjin are a thing, but that is what I think and I surely won’t try and go around to convince others of that, but instead it’s me trying to get you to respect Namjoon a bit more. I also don’t negate that Namjoon might be in a relationship with someone else than Jin, though I honestly doubt it, but obviously that’s always a possibility, regardless of what gender that partner might have. This isn’t me being delulu or trying to push a narrative or agenda, but instead my thoughts and opinions based on my conclusions reached through what we’ve seen over the years.
Despite your triple dare we will not be posting your ask and the link it had because it leads to a blog filled with posts that we do not agree with and we very much are not interested in leading more people there and running the chance that people might get misled by them.
This whole Namjoon’s mystery boyfriend topic has been floating around for months now and we’ve already posted about it back in December last year, and since then nothing has changed so, as it stands, you can lay this topic to rest. And if you don’t agree with our blog, perhaps it simply isn’t the place for you since this is a BTS, vmin and namjin blog. There are enough other bloggers who support your thoughts so you might feel happier there instead.
I’m happy that Namjoon is doing well, that he’s getting so much appreciation in the art would, that we could catch a glimpse at how much fun Namjoon had with Hobi at the Billie Eilish concert, and that he’s been steadily working on his music and seems satisfied with the work he’s doing.
Another thing that I/we kind of missed (as in mentioning it on the blog) was Jungkook’s birthday and his live with Jin and the whole situation around this day and how it’s practically the most anticipated date of the year among xkook shippers. That kind of passed us by. I watched the live and I must admit that it didn’t feel quite the way like the previous lives he’s done and the weverse post Jin made after he left Jungkook’s apartment, about how he should continue his live professionally, led me to believe that he didn’t feel quite as enthusiastic and energetic about the live as he did with the previous ones. For whatever reason. But one thing this showed us was that Jin is watching over Jungkook and that their bond is very close and brotherly with older brother Jin caring a lot about his beloved younger brother Jungkook. At the same time I hope that the whole day, and what happened on it, will finally put certain things to rest for people who think clearly who maybe finally saw or will see that the bond the entire group has with Jungkook is exactly the same and none of them are romantic. That vmin treat Jungkook the same, one and the other. That you can see that in some of their gestures and behaviors, in Jimin's like in Tae’s, that they care about Jungkook the same way the other members do as well, and that their bonds with Jungkook don’t have any romantic connotations. Jungkook is simply the baby of the group and nothing and no analysis will change my mind about that.
Going back to vmin for a closing summary or thought. Everything that was to be analyzed about them has been analyzed and really everything that could be said about what we’ve seen since 2013 has been said, and knowing that chances are rather slim that we’ll get anything more than this, I don’t think there’s a need for further analysis of each and every new word and gesture we get since they all following and fit in with everything we’ve seen so far, none of it is new or shocking or anything like it. What we see now is just the way we thought it would look like. My stance on vmin is known among those who read our blog and everyone knows that I’m the Admin that is convinced that vmin are together, but I’m also convinced that we will never get any kind of confirmation, as in something official like a statement or anything like it. Or at least not now or any time soon.
So I’m remaining firm in my opinions but I will not try to convince anyone of them either.

Let’s talk: FESTA 2022 Dinner + pondering OT7 + vmin/namjin implications
by Admin 1
It’s been a few days and yet I still find myself sitting here staring at an empty page wondering what to write and where to even start. This is usually much easier, but I guess normally the topic is easier, too, something fun or silly or just me ranting about goofy asks. Not today though.
Tumblr media
Just a day or two before the Festa Dinner video was posted my friend and I were talking about how much of a bloodbath getting tickets for tour will be, hours before the video was posted I saw twts with theories about tour dates surely showing up at the end of the video or being posted an hour or two after. And yet none of us could’ve foreseen the actual contents of the dinner video, even less after Tae’s claim that it’s just a normal business dinner, nothing special.
And even as I typed that no one could’ve seen it coming, I know that isn’t entirely true. But hindsight is funny like that, afterward things are so much clearer, aren’t they, the signs far more obvious, the details so clear you start to wonder how you didn’t realize it sooner, put it all together. For those who might’ve not seen the video, might’ve missed everything that happened since, the basic fact is that Chapter 2 is the era of Bangtan exploring their own careers and interests, of trying to find their way back to their passion, live and experience things, mature and feel human again, before, eventually, they’ll return stronger and even better than they already are.
Despite all the headlines and clickbait articles, when Bangtan say they will come back, I believe them. I know they will. It may take a few years, but someday they’ll return to music as seven. Until then we’ll have seven careers to follow, proper, full fledged albums from seven brilliant and amazingly talented artists and so many more things they might do during this chapter of their lives.
And we’ll get RUN BTS back, sporadically.
That being said, usually with posts like these I would watch the video a few times, take some notes, structure this post a little more properly, but I’ll be completely honest and admit that I just can’t watch that again, not yet. Maybe you’ll think I’m dramatic, and maybe I am, but after crying on and off all day after that video dropped and I’d watched it with Admin 2, I can’t do that to myself. I’m sure you’ll be able to understand, but basically this post will touch on some of what was said in the video, as well as what we can expect for this chapter and some musings about the vmin and namjin implications. Sound good? If so, let’s continue below the cut:
The funny thing about hindsight, as I mentioned before, is how much clearer it makes things. So while I was caught off guard in the moment while watching the dinner video, looking back at the last 3 years or so, it actually shouldn’t have come as the big surprise as which it did. Because really, all the signs were there, we just chose to not see them, not acknowledge them, not properly at least.
I remember the time when the concepts for how the MOTS then trilogy was supposed to look like design wise leaked, how we all had theories about the themes and titles of all three albums based on Persona and the Map of the Soul book, and then our surprise when it turned out it wouldn’t actually be a trilogy at all. That the plans were changed and instead we got Map of the Soul: 7. Already then people claimed the album and everything around it felt like a farewell, the closing of a chapter, and yet we all scoffed at those people because those claims have been around since 2018. And yet, now, we know those people were right. Admin 2, who at the time said the same, was right even though I didn’t want to listen.
It’s interesting (but also extremely sad) how, at the time, Black Swan seemed like a theoretical exploration of that fear of losing your love for music, of dying your first death as artist, and yet, in a way, that very fear eventually came true.
In the dinner video the members, and especially Namjoon, spoke about feeling like they had nothing more to say, like they lost their group identity, their direction, like there was nothing left to give. It made me wonder if perhaps that’s why the members got that vacation back in 2019, as an attempt to prevent that from happening, but obviously we know it mustn’t have helped because things went as they did and the plan turned into releasing MOTS7, do the MOTS tour, and then announce the break after and be back around this time now.
But then the pandemic came and ruined things.
Instead of their break, they stayed, they continued. And in hindsight the signs of exhaustion, of the toll things were taking on them, they were all there, we just didn’t know because how could we. From how scarily skinny Tae was in the time leading up to the BangBangCon concert, how Namjoon later told us that he’d cried alone in his room during the summer, how lost and exhausted they seemed at various points, even during In the Soop, and from the things Seokjin dealt with later that year which led to him writing and releasing Abyss, just to give a few examples.
As sad as I was, I don’t think it was because of the group break from music, at least not mainly. Mostly I was sad to find out about their struggles, about how they kept all of that in, pushed on, went just one more thing, just one more, and suddenly two years had passed. How drained, burnt out, and in a way, lost they were, enough so that they finally made this choice for themselves. It’s strange, a feeling of gratitude for all they’ve done for us during the pandemic, but also a kind of guilt for keeping them going for our sake, to keep us happy, but also inadvertently pushing them into a mindset where they were so afraid of telling us, of admitting to their exhaustion, to being selfish while not being selfish at all.
ARMY dramatics on the TL or not, it was the only right choice to be made and I’m so glad they’ve done it. That they’ll now get to do lots of fun things they couldn’t do so far, that they’ll get to find themselves again, to rest, to pursue their own hobbies and interests, make the kind of music they couldn’t do while in the group, focus on their own projects, or maybe just do nothing at all for a while.
It’s been 9 years since their debut, 12 since Namjoon, Yoongi and Hobi became trainees. They’ve been pushing, running, working tirelessly, they deserve this.
Which is why I’m so glad that Hobi gets to make the beginning of this new chapter with his album and being a Lollapalooza headliner who closes the festival, a spot that is extremely meaningful, and to have that on your first time? Only the best for our Hobi. Even more after the members mentioned how he went through tough times, something we had no idea about either. Truly I’m so excited to see what a full blown Hobi album will look like with its concept and promo and everything around it. I can’t wait! Mid July can’t come soon enough!
Tumblr media
And JK with his Charlie Puth collaboration on Left & Right that’ll already drop on the 24th. The bit we heard in the announcement tiktok already sounded really good so I’m very curious.

About Namjin
Even though we all dread this topic there really is no way around talking about Chapter 2 and Seokjin without talking about enlistment. And considering we are meant to get a video about that topic next week, I’d say it’s rather obvious that Chapter 2 will see us waving member after member goodbye as they enlist with Seokjin making the beginning as the eldest. I have some thoughts about the enlistment topic but since I’m not Korean, and not informed to as much of a detail as I feel I’d need to be, I won’t voice any of it since it’s not my place to do so anyway.
The point is though, when it comes to namjin, much like with most of the bonds within Bangtan, I doubt we’ll get to see these two together much, if at all. It’s been like that already in the last couple of months (outside of group content) and I don’t see that changing any time soon, or at all. And that’s more than fine. But even though we might not see it, I’m convinced and 100% sure all their bonds will continue on away from our eyes even if they might change a little, which is only natural. I’m sure Seokjin and Hobi will continue having drinks together, Jimin and Namjoon taking occasional bike rides together, that sort of thing. And I’m also sure namjin will be just fine. Not without a reason did they mention not only being with each other basically almost all year round but that their families are also close, their fathers best friends even.
The connection Bangtan share, that namjin do, it’s one they’ve worked on for years (one we’ve seen documented throughout so many songs in Bangtan’s discography), learned ways to communicate and show each other appreciation, understanding, and affection the way they need and like most.
When it comes to Namjoon, I’d say he is likely one of the most affected by that exhaustion and burn out, after all we saw what kind of state he was in during the dinner, the tears he shed despite being the member that always was the least likely to do so. As Namjoon bias I truly hope Chapter 2 will help him to find rest, to find his passion and love for music again, to work on his solo projects and the songs he wants/needs to do, explore other interests, and to grow and find his way back to feeling human and not like a rap machine and the one that speaks English.
Despite what some may claim, I think these two are more than fine and secure enough in their bond and love that this break and some time apart won’t change a thing. After the revelations that PROOF brought us, as well as the dinner, I’m even more secure in my opinion. Make of that what you will.
About vmin
I’ve always thought of Chingu as a vastly meaningful song, but after the revelations of the FESTA Dinner, the song is even more meaningful than before. A song about how Tae and Jimin wish and promise each other to stay in each others lives even once the cheers dies down, once the forever that is Bangtan in their minds, will be over. A promise of forever beyond forever. And a mutual reassurance that yes, they are soulmates, that they truly mean so much to each other. And that on the album that was meant to sum up 7 years of their career, to mark the end of Chapter 1? Truly I understand why Jimin said that song was the most emotional one for him. And the fact that he also chose it to be included on PROOF? Like a renewal of that promise, a reassurance that that opinion still stands, that nothing has changed, if anything, based on their behavior and words since MOTS7′s release, they’ve only gotten closer.
And while I’ve seen some claim that the break might have a negative effect on vmin, well, we’ve seen them since the dinner was recorded, since the choice was made, we’ve seen them being just as sweet and clingy in the latest group vlive, so really, I have no doubts that they, too, will be just fine. That they are and will remain close. After all in the dinner video itself, when Tae was asked about his album, Jimin basically turned into his spokesperson showing how he knows all about Tae’s music, his process, has heard his songs, how they obviously share their art with each other. We saw Tae naturally ask Jimin if he wanted some crab to make sure Jimin ate well, we saw Tae look over at Jimin after Jimin teared up/began to cry, too. And we saw their different declarations since 2020, like Jimin-ah I like you the most or My Love Happy Birthday Bro.
A moment that Admin 2 wanted me to include that reassured them was from today’s Music Bank performance of For Youth where, while Jungkook sings You’re be my best friend / for the rest of my life Jimin intently looked over at Tae, who unfortunately didn’t realize. You could argue about fanservice or something, because I know that’s what anons like to do, but if it were so, a planned moment instead of a spontaneous, Tae would’ve looked at him, too, right? And yet he was so into the performance that he didn’t.
Tumblr media
As for them individually, while I think Namjoon is/was one of the members who needs this break most, I’d say, like many others, that Jimin was perhaps the most reluctant one. Jimin’s identity and passion for music so far seems to be mostly directly tied to Bangtan and the identity he has within being part of Bangtan, so it will be interesting to see what he’ll choose to do as solo artist, if he’ll solely focus on music--he did mention working on an album, joking about how, since Tae is more thorough than he is, he’ll finish sooner--or if he’ll do other things as well, like perhaps variety show appearances, as example.
As for Tae, I’d say we have a rather clear idea of what he wants to do, create many different personas, as he said himself, as singer and actor and do photography and whatever else he might find along the way that piques his interest. I’d say something that I’ll be very curious to see if it’ll happen or not is the potential collar with Jon Batiste. And of course we know that next month the Wooga squad edition of ITS will be airing.
Personally though I’m most curious about the fact that Tae said he’s seeking freedom, the kind he didn’t have so far due to one reason or another. Not necessarily artistically but rather a personal one, a freedom in life, so to speak. There are many implications that this may hold, a most obvious one being romantic though I’ll say this (and remember you are on a vmin blog):
Until their enlistment will be done and over, and perhaps the views and opinions on the LGBT community in Korea change, there is no chance whatsoever of any hints or statements too obvious and straight forward in that direction whatsoever, let alone a full blown coming out. Because it simply wouldn’t be safe. At all. We saw what happened to HOLLAND not that long ago, now imagine someone on Tae’s (and Jimin’s) level. Like Drift said in her post(s), we also think chances though are good that we’ll see a vmin subunit, or multiple ones. After all the FESTA 2020 Friends Subunit interview must’ve been recorded during a time where they didn’t know yet that the break wouldn’t happen until 2 years later and they spoke about wanting to do a subunit like that together. Furthermore Tae still owes Jimin a song, as does Yoongi, so I hope we’ll get to see that eventually, too.
Actually going back to 2020 and really the years since 2020, it’s interesting how vmin specifically were the ones who kept on talking about how they hope Bangtan will remain together for a long time, forever, until they’ll be old. In hindsight it’s obvious how those declarations acted as reassurance to us, but especially also to them, about their wish to stay together even with that planned break, how Bangtan is forever, a part of all of them come what may.
Closing words
All in all I’m really glad Bangtan has taken this step for themselves. It’s clear how much they need this. It’s an unusual step in the world of K-Pop, one where a break usually translates to disbandment (which is also how media portrayed it for clickbait headlines and alike, so much so that poor Namjoon had to write a Weverse letter about it, one that made me only so much sadder due to him not only saying that he hadn’t received this many calls since their debut (meaning their fake disbandment caused more interest than all their achievements) as well as feeling regretful about being so emotional, vulnerable and open on camera because the screenshots of him crying had gone viral), but I truly hope it will help them the way they need it to. They also mentioned how moving out of the dorm into their own apartments helped them, how it made them even close instead of put distance between them. Meaning their dorm, the one we’ve known, is no more either. Truly the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.
I can’t wait to see what will happen, can’t wait to hear their albums, see their performances, see them grow and experience life and however much of that they’ll be willing to share with us. Whatever may happen, I’ll support each and every one of them. I may be Namjoon biased, and Admin 2 Tae biased, but we’re both OT7 all the way.

Let’s talk: PROOF (album + live)
by Admin 1
We’re a little late, sorry for that, but the delay gave us a little more time to listen to the three new songs, and to also see two of them be performed live. So, finally, let’s talk about them, shall we?
Tumblr media
PROOF itself is a great album for new fans, like BTS said themselves, it’s like a guidebook giving you the essentials that prepare you for everything else their discography has to offer. And that discography is very extensive, as we all know. PROOF is, for all its intents and purposes, exactly what it says on the cover: their proof, the songs, their stories and their messages which carried and accompanied them to where they are today.
As someone who doesn’t have a physical copy of the anthology yet, I’m a bit whiny about CD3 not being on streaming platforms, but in general I understand why it is that way and I think it was a good choice. Plus it just makes far more sense to do it like that in the context of what is on CD3.
That being said, I’ve so far not had a chance to listen to Young Love or Quotation Mark (though I obviously know they’ve been posted online several times over), though I’ve read the translated lyrics to both and have some opinions about Young Love (as well as the Epiphany demo version) but that might be a discussion for a different time.
With all that being said, let’s now go below the cut to talk about the three new songs--the title track, Yet To Come, and the two B-sides, Run BTS and For Youth.
Yet To Come
Yet to Come feels very much like what it is, as in the summing up and closing of a chapter while looking with hope and anticipation toward whatever the future may hold, the thought that as amazing as the past was, the best is yet to come. Sonically it’s a very nice song, emotional and pleasant to listen to, though I wouldn’t quite say it sticks out or immediately grabs you the way a Spring Day does, as example, but that’s fine. I will admit that the more I listened to the song, the more I’ve come to like it.
youtube
Now, today, we got the PROOF Live performance of it and here I would say the fact that a lot of Bangtan’s music is even better when live is a true thing again. It’s a nice song on CD but a much better one when performed live, especially when you also add backup singers and Anderson Paak on the drums. This kind of more chill vibe fits the atmosphere of the song perfectly.
Side note - Tae’s and Seokjin’s vocals during the performance? Absolute dreams, stunning beginning to end.
As for the MV, I will admit I kind of expected a little more than what we got, though what we got was still really nice. I love the callbacks to the different eras and iconic moments from their past MVs, like the angel statue from Blood, Sweat & Tears, the bus from No More Dream, or the shipping container from Namjoon’s WINGS short film and FAKE LOVE. I also very much appreciate all the work that went into the MV, the fact that the bus wasn’t just CGI added into the desert, or Yoongi’s piano set, or what we saw of Tae filming in a literal sandstorm with the result being amazing.
All in all Yet To Come is a really nice song to end Chapter 1 on and it does leave me curious for what comes next, though Hobi performing at Lollapalooze might give us an indication of what it might be. I’m so excited for him, by the way, and can’t wait to see him up on that stage performing for an hour closing the festival, a very meaningful spot to have especially as first time performing solo on a festival. Only the best for our beloved Hobi, as it should be.
Run BTS
We may have lost the show but we’ve gained an addictive hype song that makes you want to run, that makes you feel powerful, and that makes you want to put it on loop no matter how much that’s against streaming etiquette. While it’s a more hip hop type track, I love how the vocal line still got to show off their skills, ones they’ve acquired and improved greatly since their trainee days, while the rap line just blew everyone away. Their styles are so different between the three and yet they work perfectly together.
youtube
Tae’s voice on If we live fast let us die young? The switch ups on the pre-chorus with it first being JK-Jimin-Tae and then JK-Jin-Tae, singing the same and yet the feel is still different? Namjoon’s Good music, got them (Got them) / Good team? Goddamn! (Oh, yeah)? You tell them, Joon!
Side note - Hobi naming Tae and Jimin together? Very cute detail.
Overall I think between the three new songs, this one is my favorite which I’ve heard from a lot of ARMY as well. I really hope we’ll get to see and hear it performed one day (pretty please)!
For Youth
The for ARMY song of this album, also the one that closes out the entire anthology. Once again it’s clear what the song was designed for, much the way We Are Bulletproof : The Eternal was, as in, a song to close concerts on, to show appreciation to fans (JK singing You're my best friend / For the rest of my life gets me every time), and to be a cute ballade. And that’s exactly what the song is and I really like it a lot.
youtube
The Young Forever sample from the concert that opens the song and appears a few more times in the background throughout it is a really sweet touch, and also shows how touching it was for the members to hear ARMY sing that song for them. And much the way Yet To Come sounds “better” (though that isn’t necessarily the right word) live, that’s also the case for For Youth.
The performance of it during PROOF Live was beautiful and I really think we should talk more about Hobi’s, as well as Namjoon’s, voice and the way they use them so perfectly. Truly Hobi’s rapping and basically singing was such a jaw drop moment during the performance.
Side note - Tae and Jimin harmonizing, singing about wanting to hold hands, and doing that cute bit of tiny choreography together? So very cute and so very vmin. They sound so wonderful together, I love it.
Tumblr media
Admin 2 wanted me to add that while they didn’t really like Yet To Come (song or MV) all that much, they love Run BTS and For Youth, and how much they love Tae’s voice on YTC and FY. The style and genre really suits his voice nicely and he really got to show it off more, got to sing more, and then also when he sang with Jimin, it was perfect. Generally it’s interesting how when vmin sing together, Jimin doesn’t actually need to go as high vocally for the contract between their voices to be noticeable enough so it feels like they can both sing in comfortable ranges and harmonize beautifully with each other as they do so.
To sum it up, I really enjoy all three a lot, they show how BTS’ music has grown and matured which only makes me that much more curious for what the future will hold music wise for them as a group but also each of them as individuals.
Contrary to the popular interpretation, especially among those rooting for the end/disbandment (you’ve been saying that since 2018, aren’t you tired yet?), I don’t think there are any hints toward a farewell here. A farewell to chapter 1, sure, but to Bangtan as a whole? Absolutely not. Otherwise in YTC why would they promise to keep coming back for more, why would they underline that there is still more to come, that they love what they do, and why say that this is just the beginning? Makes me wish people would spend more time actually looking at the lyrics instead of making up their own narratives to fit whatever it is they want. Besides, using Yoongi as example, he did say he could just switch to producing and be fine, but he doesn’t feel responsible enough for that but more importantly he simply enjoys and loves being in BTS. Does that sound like words of a man waiting with bated breath for a group farewell? Don’t think so.
Not without a reason the anthology opens with the words I’m a born singer and closes with For the rest of my life.
Enlistment might come, or it might not, solo activities most definitely will come, but Bangtan will continue for a long time. Instead of wondering about the what ifs, lets instead enjoy the here and now, look forward to their music show performances in a few days, and support whatever will come in Chapter 2.

How did a song about Jimin & Tae, become a song about all the members & Army? But why did Jimin include ARMY and others in CHINGU?
Well hello there, dear anon, how surprising to see you here as well! Unfortunately here, too, you won't find any negative or pessimistic answer either because, just like romanticdrift and btsandvmin have said in their answers, we also do not see how todays short promo video for Proof of Inspiration affects or changes the meaning of Friends in any shape or form. After all, even if you want to zoom in on the specific wording, at the end of the day Tae also counts as Jimin's friend as well as a fellow member. Yet, even in a group of friends you can still have your one special person but you don't have to single them out each time, especially when everyone already knows they are special. It's enough for him to have said it in many instances before, as well as in the lyrics of Friends themselves, so even while grouping Tae in with everyone else, that doesn't take away anything about their bond and how special they are to each other. Or how special Friends the song is.
So, dear anon, I'm sorry to say but your search for a pessimistic answer will have to continue.

There's one thing I don't understand, being that, if you're so convinced of your ship being real, why do you come into the asks of blogs like ours seeking validation? I'm sure that if Tae and JK were boyfriends, they'd be just fine even without us agreeing with their shippers. Just like I'm certain that vmin are boyfriends, or at least that they have the highest likeliness out of all maknae ships to be real, and yet I really don't need anyone else to agree with me, and I certainly don't need the validation of people shipping another pairing.
You know why?
Because all of our opinions don't matter anyway and if I manage to convince another person that vmin are real or not, that doesn't affect real life in any way. Just like you coming into our asks reducing vmin down to just fanservice and Tae and JK merely acting like they love Jimin, that won't change reality either.
By the way, I hope you do realize that with the way you phrased your ask you’ve inadvertently, or not, called both parts of your ship liars which isn’t a good look. After all JK claimed Tae and Jimin as his just two days ago.

On jk's ig asks today he got the comment ''jimin is mine'' and ''taehyung is mine'' and replied to both that they're his. while i love it and he's singlehandedly ending jkk vs tkk shipwars, it does frustrate me that these shippers (probably believers) took the shipping out of shipping spaces and brought them into the artist's space. That should not happen and although i love vmk and the jokes made about this, there should be a serious convo about not posting shipping stuff for the artists.
For those who didn't see it, earlier today JK came onto IG and opened another 30 minute round of Q&As which he answered verbally. Just like anon said, JK replied to someone's "question" claiming first that Jimin is theirs and then that Tae is theirs, and finally also that JK himself is theirs, to which he said that he is ours.
Tumblr media
And as much as I wish it would've ended shipwars like anon said, unfortunately all it caused was a whole new war on several different fronts over the way he said it, which was a joke and which wasn't, how obviously he meant one in a silly way and the other as serious confirmation, and also him getting dragged and hated on by solo stans for mentioning Jimin but not mentioning With You while he did promo That That.
To summarize: a mess.
But I very much do agree that these questions which perhaps upon first glance might not be a typical shipping related question, they still are ship questions which lead to fights between ships and whatnot. Which is upsetting because I'm sure from his POV it just seemed like a harmless enough joke to make, yet it wasn't. According to some. And these things should not be happening, shipping should always stay behind this unspoken wall away from the artists.
But let's be honest, even though I have no way of checking it, I'm certainly that an overwhelming majority of questions that come in whenever he does these Q&As are ship related questions followed by normal question and hate. And really, it makes me wonder, if JK is taking the time out of his obviously busy schedule to talk to us, would it really be that hard to keep the focus on him instead of other members and ships? Would it be that hard to ask him about his day or how things are going with his music or how Bam is doing or literally anything else?
I’m afraid that unfortunately all this did is only encourage shippers to go even harder with these questions next time, which in no way is JKs fault. It’s only the fault of entitled toxic shippers who believe everything must revolve around their ship and everything they do in relation to each other must be a confirmation of their ship, which is plain wrong. After all the “Jimin is mine” thing has been a thing for years starting with Yoongi claiming Jimin is his and ARMY can’t have him already back in 2013 before their debut, and also Tae writing that birthday card for Jimin all about how Jimin and everything to do with Jimin is his? And to be honest, I’m also fairly certain that if someone would’ve sent in “Hobi is mine” or “Yoongi is mine” JK would’ve replied with the same thing, too. After all JK did once say that he used to think that “everything that’s yours is mine, and everything that’s mine is also mine”. JK simply loves his members, that’s what it all boils down to.
Tumblr media
So please, next time, can we just focus on JK and not on the maknae line and JKs bond with them?
