How did Hilda became a big cute Forest Giant?

I like to think that it was due to an experiment with Frida’s magic going wrong, like how her transfiguration spell on Jorts went wrong. She’d have attempted to cast a spell on Hilda to allow her to translate the language of different creatures of the great wilderness (because Hilda would 100% volunteer to be the test Guinea Pig providing it wouldn’t be potentially lethal) and miscast it inadvertently. At which it would have temporarily changed her from regular Hilda into forest giant Hilda for a day or two.
