JOHNAERYN IN EVERY EPISODE
☆ 1.16 A Human Reaction
Sorry. What for? Everything. What’s happened here, getting you stuck on Moya. I mean, if it wasn’t for me you’d still be the happy little Peacekeeper dominating the lesser races. Mm. I’ve got a lot to blame you for, Crichton.
"I just think that the John and Aeryn story is more like most people's stories," began Browder. "You know, in any relationship there's no linearity. It's not always, 'Just do this and now you've reached it.' I've been married for 36 years, yeah, almost 36 years I've been married, and I can guarantee you that one day you're going to try to kill each other, and the other day you're gonna be just so into each other over time. And so I think that it's real. I think it feels real to people. I think people feel the desires. They feel the pain that people cause one another. They feel the impossibility of it." He continued:
"You know, you can be in a relationship and you can be madly in love, and something in life is gonna pull you apart. That could be work. It could be kids. It could be finances. It could be a pandemic, and it's going to stress your relationship, and that's what makes it real. That's what makes it interesting. And the fact that [...] you want to see them together is a testament to the writing staff and to Claudia Black. It's chemistry, which is the metaphor, but you take these [...] two vials, you pour them together, and you end up with something which is effervescent ."
Ok this is cute… i saw a youtube video from a few years ago where someone was interviewing/chatting with Ben Browder, and at some point he mentioned being vaccinated, then near the end the person said, “I’m glad to hear you’re vaccinated” and he said “Yeah, I’m vaccinated.” Then jokingly added, “My wife made me.” But he said it so fondly? So the person talking to him said, “well, they say married men live longer because their wives make them to go to the doctor.” And he says, “Oh I would be dead several times over if it wasn’t for her… she is my life support.” So the person laughed and said “well, I guess that’s her job.” And he says “I don’t know if it’s her job, but she keeps me alive so it’s a good deal.” 🥹
Men who openly adore their wives and appreciate what they do for them >>>>
Watched the new Bluey episode… the flash-forward was a little weird to see Bluey as a full-blown adult, but seeing her kid was so cute, and I’m going to call it and say that Mackenzie is the dad. Like, idk if it’s weird to theorize, but I don’t ship them as children. Just as adults it’s really cute to end up marrying one of your childhood best friends. Bluey’s child kinda looks like a mix of her and Mackenzie, with the kid being light gray and almost-black and has one folded ear like Mackenzie and longer fur like Mackenzie.
Wait, you like that Daniel is mean to Vala? I hate him for it lmao. That scene in the last episode soured me on his whole character retroactively.
Anyway yeah, i saw an interview with Ben and Claudia that took place in the first part of season 9 and they said they were on episode 6 and that they basically wouldn’t let them be in the same scenes together 🤣 i think part of it was because the writers just didn’t want the viewers carrying over their bias from Farscape and ruining what they were trying to do with Vala and Daniel, but yeah I also think they probably had too much chemistry 🤣
