i dont have a solution or proposed alternative to this but like its so wild to me how like we all have such different lives like our pasts and also our current lives but we have like the same set of expectations. like someone who has no family or support system and mental illness and extreme trauma vs someone who like lives at home with their 2 parents and has a generally sheltered life & both are supposed to just like do well in school & get good jobs & do well in them & perform the same. like what
not to be an asshole but sometimes i see some of my friends and im like bro ur life is so easy like if i were you i would be the president what are you doing

A lot of the time insomnia can be caused, or made worse by not processing feelings and emotions. It becomes this cycle where your brain is basically trying to force you to think about feelings you may be avoiding. Journaling your thoughts and feelings as honestly as you can might help with processing, I know for myself it has made a big difference for my sleep. If you look up School of Life and insomnia, I believe they have some journaling promts that are helpful. I think they put out a video called "5 questions to ask yourself every evening" recently that might be a good place to start
(I also take coQ10, which combats the inflammation caused by stress and has improved my sleep more than I ever thought possible, but I have fibromyalgia and I don't know how that applies so someone who may not)
Life can be very difficult at times and I am sorry you are struggling so much. I hope you find solutions soon and are able to rest <3

I used to have extreme sleep issues like that. It partly started from extreme stress and losing my job and then not having any sort of routine which made it worse and worse
Liquid magnesium and passion flower liquid supplements helped relax me enough so I slowly started to go to bed earlier. I had to deal with my stress issues to make the biggest difference though and stop panicking so much
I hope you find something that helps

Tw suicide mental illness everything eating disorder
Isn鈥檛 it wild how if you have a physical illness and need to miss work you can be like my asthma or diabetes etc is acting up and ofc tons of jobs are shitty and will be like tough shit but for at least some they鈥檒l be like ok np stay home sick whereas with a mental illness you can鈥檛 just be like I鈥檓 depressed you have to be like listen I haven鈥檛 slept in three days but the last time I did sleep it was for sixteen hours I don鈥檛 know when the last time is that I left the house I either don鈥檛 eat bc I鈥檓 too tired and depressed or I eat five tubs of ice cream and throw them up I might kill myself (dw I won鈥檛 literally at my followers) but I鈥檓 trying hard not to every day is lived minute to minute I also have constant ocd compulsions so do you think I could stay home this afternoon and they鈥檙e like ok fine but this afternoon only!!!!! I鈥檓 sad sometimes too yknow!!
