Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Emperor Lelouch —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia's Reign
At eighteen, Lelouch became the 99th Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire. He abolishes all the oppressive laws and class systems of Britannia. Lelouch frees every colony, thereby abolishing the concept of "Numbers," and puts down all resistance to his goals. However, the benevolent acts are a smokescreen for his intention to take over the world, the Zero Requiem. Eventually, with no one left to oppose him, Lelouch becomes ruler of the world. Later, he arranges the public execution of the Black Knight leaders and the U.F.N. representatives. Suzaku, disguised as Zero, interrupts and kills Lelouch, the culmination of the Zero Requiem as they had planned. By directing all the hatred of the world onto him, Lelouch's death will serve to facilitate peace, while simultaneously redeeming his and Suzaku's sins by having them impose the greatest punishments on themselves: death for Lelouch who wishes for a tomorrow with his sister, life for Suzaku who wishes to atone for his sins through death. When Lelouch falls near Nunnally, she takes his hand and realizes he had sacrificed himself on purpose for her dream and world peace. Lelouch dies smiling in the arms of a crying Nunnally, saying he has destroyed the world and created it anew. Suzaku is left playing the role of Zero. In reality, Lelouch leaves the country, having faked his death to live out his immortal life with C.C. as the two are seen on a hay cart in the Japanese version. He gains the power of "Code" from his father, Charles, who got it from V.V. Lelouch was able to kill Charles since his Geass was fully evolved. But before doing that, he used his powers to transfer Charles's Code to him. Shortly before dying, Charles grabbed Lelouch's neck with his hand that bore the Code Geass brand. As such, the brand transfered to his neck, thus why he started wearing typical clothes beyond his school uniform, which conceal his neck.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, C.C.'s Empress —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
C.C.'s Reign
Due to C.C.'s close involvement in the rebellion as Lelouch's partner and the Black Knights' second in command, she's considered the acting Empress Consort of the Britannian Empire. This title was never made public. C.C. is also never seen dressed in royal attire, nor is she married to Lelouch, but the Emperor showers her in luxury. He even has a little chair set beside his throne for C.C. in the throne room.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Kallen Kōzuki —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Kallen Stadtfeld's Character & Personality
Kallen is a seventeen-year-old girl who was born half Britannian and half Japanese. As such, she's a Britannian noble and attends Ashford Academy. There, Kallen uses her father's username, Stadtfeld. Outside of the student council, the terrorist is a Knightmare pilot soldier. Kallen prefers to go by her mother's maiden Japanese name during her revolutionary, now military, activities. During which, she acts as Captain of Zero's Squad and Ace of the Black Knights. Kallen is a strong-willed, determined, loyal and brave. She can also be quite short tempered and impulsive at times with a strong sense of justice. Beyond this, Kallen is compassionate, sensitive and gentle to those she cares about. While a cheerful kid in the past, she doesn't show much of this side of her anymore, being focused on taking back what Britannia took from her and her people. In her Stadtfeld persona, Kallen is a demure, shy and well-behaved. She has a fair share of friends despite being almost never present at school. Kallen doesn't like playing this part and holds some prejudice against Britannians in general. While being Japanese and Britannian, she had the ability to live a normal life. However, Kallen's selflessness refused to fully accept her Britannian side as it would mean abandoning her Japanese friends, people and self. At first, she claims she hates Britannians, but this is an exaggeration as she cares about Britannian civilians on multiple occasions. Kallen starts off as an emotional, somewhat prejudiced and untrusting girl in a tawdry rebellion. Later, she becomes a capable fighter with a much stronger sense of morality, who's willing to put aside her feelings and interests to protect the greater good. In battle, Kallen has quite an aggressive way of fighting. She's often ruthless, opportunistic and enjoys close-range combat. Kallen can be confident in her piloting capabilities and her own abilities. Despite being one of the best pilots, she's not indestructible. As a teenager, Kallen is fairly innocent when it comes to romance. She has never been kissed and becomes flustered whenever subjects like love or flirting come up. Kallen can sometimes show some tsundere trait, especially toward her crush.

Later, Nunnally ascends to the throne as Empress and becomes the final Viceroy of Area 11. She's almost inhumanly kindhearted, patient and understanding. Nunnally endures her double handicap with warmth and a smile. Yet, she would throw terrible temper tantrums in private as a child. Nunnally is kind and empathetic to all those around her. She has gentle ideals but maintains a neutral side, making the world a better place in her way. However, Nunnally can make heavy-hearted decisions bordering on ruthlessness. She'll even attempt to perform actions exceeding her abilities. Despite this, Nunnally's greatest weakness is her kind heart as she's unable to be as cold and calculating as her brother. Her greatest characteristic is her smile. Smiling is her way of expressing gratitude to people around her. Since Nunnally is unable to take care of herself, the least she could do is smile.

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 8
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tragedy
“Oh my goodness!” The doctor cried. “A Nurturer was abducted by a feral from our tribe?! I’ll notify Chief Yaya immediately to have a search party sent out.” She exclaimed, rushing out the hollowed-out tree where she set up her clinic.
Kianna stood anxiously beside Nayuki’s cot. “Uh, what’s a feral?”
“Your tribe must have sheltered you, Sweetheart.” Nayuki said, closing his eyes for a moment. Kianna wanted to ask about the sudden pet name, but held her tongue for Nayuki to answer her question. “A Feral is either an unwanted Nature Beastman or a rejected Nature Beastman.” He replied.
Kianna had a bad feeling based on Nayuki’s negative word choices, but she knew the information would be important. “What’s the difference between them?” She asked.
Nayuki heavily sighed, but his brows furrowed in a serious manner. “Unwanted nature beastman are born feral. This applies to animals like crocodiles, snakes, lizards and insects. They’re cold-blooded beastman who were raised in harsh environments, with a cruel Nature Beastman parent and an abused Nurturer parent.”
“These Nature Beastman are automatically unwanted at birth?” Kianna repeated with sadness in her amber colored eyes. She couldn’t help but feel sympathy for these creatures because they can’t choose how they were raised or what animal they were born as either. A part of Kianna could relate as her own mother didn’t want her.
“Yes. Nurturers find these feral’s true animal forms to be terrifying, creepy or disgusting. They’re too scared to look at or even touch one; let alone give birth to their children.” Nayuki explained. The cat then averted his eyes elsewhere. He stared off into the distance and a glint of sorrow appeared in his eyes. “Rejected nature beastman were once mated to a Nurturer, but had their spousal relationships canceled.” Nayuki hissed. “Rejected Ferals can be from any animal clan, like the owl or hyena clans.” He stated.
“Why would a Nurturer do that?” Kianna asked. This was clearly a touchy subject, but she needed to know more about this world.
“Nurturers selfishly fall out of love with their mates.” Yaya stated through a sigh. The elderly chief had entered the hollowed-out tree clinic from below alongside the female tiger doctor. “But it’s against the law for any Nurturer to cancel their spousal relationship without good reason.” He explained in a huff.
Based on the sour expression on the chief’s face, rejecting a Nature Beastman because the Nurturer doesn’t love their mate anymore wasn’t a good reason. This meant Kianna was stuck with Nayuki by law in this world. “Why? Isn’t it better to leave someone who doesn’t love you anymore than be hated and miserable with them?” Kianna questioned.
“As a Nurturer, you can love whoever you want and have multiple partners.” Yaya sighed. “Nature Beastman can only bind their souls to one Nurturer their entire lives. We mate for life.” He emphasized, placing a hand on his chest. “If a Nature Beastman is rejected by their Nurturer, they will go insane from heartbreak and become savages; hence the name, Rejected Feral. Their only salvation comes from rekindling their broken relationship with said Nurturer... but they’re often too cruel to take back the Nature Beastman.” Yaya explained with a heavy heart.
“Even if the Nature Beastman were miraculously taken back by their mate, a part of them would always feel lost and hurt.” Nayuki mumbled.
“You mustn’t talk!” The doctor snapped at Nayuki. “It will take longer for you to heal if you do not rest.” She scolded.
The thought of Nature Beastman only being able to love one person their entire lives was cruel to Kianna. Especially if their Nurturer was a bad person. However, she couldn't dwell on the idea and needed to focus on the situation about Onica.
Kianna then completely turned her attention onto the chief. “So, an Unwanted Feral took Onica?” She clarified.
“Yes.” Yaya nodded. “Only Unwanted Ferals kidnap Nurturers. Rejected Ferals will kill your friend on sight.” He stated.
Kianna was still confused. If Rejected Ferals directly slaughter Nurturers out of madness, then it’s obvious the Unwanted Ferals don’t want the Nurturers they abduct to die since Onica was taken alive. Seeing as her friend is still living and the snake has no intentions of killing them, why were the villagers panicking at the thought of Onica being taken? Why was the snake woman instantly discriminated against and looked down on for merely touching Onica? If Kianna didn’t know any better, it looked like a Nature Beastman trying to claim a Nurturer as her mate. Based on what Onica and Kianna have experienced thus far, this kind of behavior is normal and highly appreciated in the Beast World.
“I understand why Nurturers might not like these Unwanted Ferals…” Kianna said, shuddering at the idea of beastman insects. “But what is so bad about these beastman that they have to be shunned?” She frowned.
“Unwanted Ferals imprison the Nurturers they catch. These beastman constantly force them to have their offspring. If a Nurturer refuses, they’ll be beaten. Unwanted Ferals don’t care about a Nurturer’s feelings… they have no regard for their mates.” Yaya warned.
Kianna’s heart dropped. Her eyes were now full of fear for her friend. Onica was going to be forcefully used as breeding stock by the abusive nature beastman who took them earlier. Kianna simply hoped her friend didn’t do anything to anger their captor.
Meanwhile, anxiety stirred inside Onica. They sat in the curve of Veronica’s left arm as her free hand pushed aside various branches and vines in their path. Despite being held, the snake woman still towered over Onica. Being around a six foot tall beastman is quite intimidating. Onica may currently be the one in danger, but they hoped to have stopped Veronica on time from potentially crippling or killing Nayuki.
“Where are we going?” Onica asked, finally breaking the silence between them.
“My nest.” Veronica replied.
Deep in another part of the humid jungle, Onica and Veronica eventually arrived at the snake’s nest. A quaint pond came into view. Across the water, a cave stood several feet from it. Ivy crawled up the sides of the cave and camouflaged the hideaway into the greenery. In fact, Onica didn’t realize they were being carried into the nest until Veronica parted the thick ivy vines, which hung over the entrance and hid her home a little too well.
The cave is spacious, but not deep. Onica is pleasantly surprised to note how dry and clean the shelter is inside. They were afraid it would be wet and moist, a perfect breeding ground for moss, mold and other deadly bacteria. However, this is a perfect place to avoid harsh weather.
Veronica finally gently set Onica down onto the smooth cave floor. “I found this place by chance.” She stated.
Onica subconsciously smiled. “That’s amazing!” They were thrilled a place like this existed in the wilderness. It gave Onica hope they could survive.
A small smile tugged on Veronica’s lips. “I’m glad you like your new home.” She said, gliding a hand down Onica’s scalp.
Onica’s smile immediately fell. This was the second direct physical contact the snake woman had displayed towards them. Unfortunately for Onica, Veronica was speaking their love language, but they weren’t going to forget how cruel she had been to Nayuki for trying to save them. As far as they were concerned, this nature beastman was attempting to lure them into a false sense of security.
“New home? Why did you take me?” Onica questioned.
What little expression on Veronica’s face dropped. “The Nature Beastman of your tribe are worthless.” She flatly replied.
Onica was stunned. How blunt can one person be? “Uh… What?” Onica gawked.
“It’s from my understanding Nature Beastman chiefs and elders are in charge of educating the Nurturers of their clan. Especially if one’s parents aren’t present. Generally, Nature Beastman of a tribe also assist in teaching Nurturers about our world.” Veronica explained.
“Uh, it is!” Onica blurted. Based on how Veronica was treated earlier, she has been forbidden to participate in society. Whatever she knows of the Beast World must be correct compared to a human from another universe. Besides, Onica is still determined to conceal the fact they’re not from this world. Who knows what these powerful nature beastman would do to them if they were discovered.
“Snake Nature Beastman will use their shedded skin to appease their spouses.” Veronica said in a low voice.
Onica hummed in thought. “You use your skin to attract a mate?” They clarified, trying to understand the new information. Onica concluded different nature beastman have unique ways of wooing partners, like the animals of their home world.
“You accepted me as your mate when you picked up my skin.” Veronica explained.
Onica’s mind was too preoccupied with gathering knowledge to have realized what kind of situation they unknowingly walked into. After Veronica finally revealed why they were there, the petite person stood there in shock. Onica wasn’t kidnapped, their mate simply took them home. They then looked down at the folded ‘material’ in their arms. Onica’s jaw dropped open, shuddering at the thick layers of skin in their grasp.
Veronica then took back her skin from Onica’s arms. “I’m glad you like my skin.” She said, unfolding it in her hands. Veronica honestly thought her skin wouldn’t be appealing due to it being black, but a nurturer still found it to be pretty.
“Uh… What does having a mate mean?” Onica asked, forcing a smile.
“It means you are my spouse.” Veronica replied.
Onica’s heart sped up. They were beginning to nervously sweat under their arms. Veronica said spouse. Onica became married to a snake? Veronica is their wife all of a sudden? Courting in the Beast World is quite direct and brutal.

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Feral
“The market. Every tribe has one. I’m sure we’ll find it if we explore the area.” Nayuki said apathetically. He then removed his clothes and handed Kianna his fur toga. Turning into his animal form, Nayuki expanded his body to allow Onica and Kianna to ride on him. He managed to safely jump the two out of the tree while on his back.
Once they were all out, Onica and Kianna walked around with Nayuki. Lots of people were out, but the Nurturers were too far in between. Onica and Kianna felt as though they stuck out like sore thumbs being some of the few individuals without animal characteristics. There were lots of nature beastman around in their human forms, but some were in their beast forms. Onica instinctively shrinked into Kianna’s side, not wanting to get too close to the animal beastman. If Onica was nervous or scared to be around these tigers, she didn’t show it. However, she stayed close to Nayuki’s side.
Despite their anxiousness, Onica couldn’t help but be curious as to their surroundings. They kept stopping to stare at the environment or to see what people were doing. Because of this, they soon lost Kianna and Nayuki. Without a familiar face around, Onica’s heart sped up in a panic. Their pale blue eyes darted all over the place as their head snapped in all directions to see where their companions went. To Onica’s dismay, Kianna and Nayuki were nowhere in sight. Deeply inhaling, they tried to remain calm.
Onica’s shoulders were tense as they walked around to locate their friend. At some point, they looked down to discover something black and shiny on the ground. It looked like fabric of some kind. Out of curiosity, Onica bent over and picked up the material to inspect it. The cloth felt soft and smooth in their hands. There seemed to be a fish scale pattern across it which shimmered with a subtle rainbow holographic shine. It was beautiful and there was quite a bit laying under the tree.
Since trading is the currency in this world, it meant their wallets and American money was useless. With nothing to exchange, Onica thought they could trade the iridescent fabric for a few things at the market. Thus, they folded the fabric and gathered it into their arms.
Continuing on, they worried, finding themself more lost with every step. At this point, Onica decided to push through their socially awkward demeanor to ask for help. Luckily, a tall woman with long black hair stood not too far from them.
“Uh, hey, excuse me!” Onica called. “Could you please help me?”
Hearing their cry, the unknown woman turned around. Her shiny hair fell to her tailbone, concealing her bare chest. Unfortunately, the mysterious woman’s body was completely exposed from the waist down. Onica’s breath hitched in their throat the second they accidentally glanced at her two vaginas. They didn’t want this to be a time where they acknowledged a woman’s naked state, but it was a subconscious action on their part. Quickly averting their eyes, Onica tried to focus on their goal of finding Kianna.
At first, the woman stared in silence. Her expression seemed hard as stone. Then, she approached Onica and allowed her dark purple eyes to glance down at what the tiny person was holding in their bone-thin arms. The closer the mysterious woman came, the more the little human could see their height difference. Onica was four feet and eleven inches tall. The pale white young woman had an entire foot and an inch over them.
“What’s your name?” The dark-haired woman asked. Her voice was masculine and a little deep, but smooth as she spoke.
“Oh, uh, Onica.” They awkwardly replied. Their big eyes never left the woman’s beautiful face. “What’s yours?” Onica nervously grinned.
“Veronica.” The dark-haired woman replied. A faint smile tugged at her lips. She was happy, though Onica couldn’t understand why.
“Onica, there you are!” Kianna suddenly blurted.
Spinning around, Onica beammed to see their friend again with Nayuki. The two were several feet away from where the little person stood with Veronica. Nayuki walked beside Kianna and said “Why did you run–!” The Bengal Cat then cut himself off with a low growl in his throat. His mahogany ears fell back and he stepped forward in front of Kianna to protect her. “A feral!” Nayuki hissed.
Veronica then pushed Onica behind her, hissing at Nayuki’s words. “What are you doing?!” Onica huffed in annoyance.
“Go back to wherever you came from.” Nayuki demanded. “You’re not welcome here.” He bluntly said.
In the split second, Veronica scooped Onica up into her strong arms. Onica gasped in response and began thrashing their legs. “Put me down!” They demanded.
Veronica ignored Onica as she threateningly glared at Nayuki across from her. The look in her eyes told Kianna this woman is deadly and it shot fear through her chest. Kianna’s poker-face remained, but the intimidating figure caused her breath to hitch in her throat.
“You can’t have this one.” Veronica hissed.
“I don’t want Onica.” Nayuki coldly replied. “You know you’re not allowed to be this close to civilization.”
“Then, I’ll leave.” Veronica said, turning her bare back to Nayuki and Kianna.
Onica’s eyes widened at the swift action. Realizing Veronica was taking them with her, they began to panic. “Great, now put me down!” Onica exclaimed.
Veronica glanced down at the worried Onica in her muscular biceps. “I’m taking you with me.” She stated.
“No, you can’t have them. They’re my friend!” Kianna exclaimed. She then turned to Nayuki and said “Please, don’t let her take Onica!” The brunette haired girl frowned at him with worry in her amber eyes. Kianna was concerned about losing her only friend. She had no idea why this nature beastman was trying to abduct Onica, but they weren’t going to let it happen.
Anger brewed inside Nayuki. He hated seeing Kianna upset. To appease his mate, Nayuki shifted into his brown Bengal Cat form and lunged at Veronica. His body expanded into its large size in mid-air. The second Nayuki’s physical appearance was complete, the lower half of Veronica’s body had also changed. From the waist down, she now possessed the black body of a snake. Nayuki then landed onto Veronica and dug his claws into her flesh, but she didn’t flinch. Shocked, the Bengal Cat desperately began biting her. However, although she was bleeding, Veronica’s scales were too thick to penetrate easily. With a murderous glint in her dark purple eyes, the snake flicked Nayuki off of her like a bug. The cat went flying and rolled onto the ground.
“Are you alright?!” Kianna gasped.
Nayuki was touched to hear the concern in his mate’s voice for him, but he was fine. He then let out a loud screech to alert nearby villagers of the intruder. Nayuki knew Nature Beastman would rush to the scene and help. He may be a newcomer, but tribespeople were protective of their communities.
“I’ll kill you if you try to take them away from me again.” Veronica coldly hissed.
Ignoring Veronica’s warning, Nayuki jumped towards her again. He was determined to make Kianna happy. In that moment, the snake whipped her tail forward and wrapped it around Nayuki. She then began squeezing his bones and muscles, causing the cat to cry out in pain.
Soon, several male and female-looking Nature Beastman rushed to the fight. “A feral is attempting to steal a Nurturer from our tribe!” A tiger tribesman cried. They all stood in a fighting stance, ready to attack until a woman pointed out the pair of black stripes on both of Veronica’s shoulders. “She has four marks! The feral is too powerful to fight without casualties!” At that moment, everyone froze in fear and dared not approach the snake woman.
Watching with wide eyes, Onica realized this woman doesn’t take death threats lightly. They then turned their attention onto Veronica and desperately clung their free hand onto her neck. “Wait, stop! Please, don’t kill him! I’ll go with you, just let him live!” Onica begged. They couldn’t bear the idea of watching another living being die knowing they could have done something. Tears began forming at the corners of Onica’s eyes. The thought of someone being killed because of them was causing water to swell up in their eyes over the guilt.
“Fine, I’ll let him go.” Veronica said, releasing Nayuki from her iron grip and dropping unconscious body to the ground.
Kianna immediately rushed to the brown Bengal Cat’s side and began calling his name, but no response came. Tears were flowing from her eyes as she started attempting to shake him awake.
Suddenly, Veronica touched Onica’s forehead to hers. “Don’t cry.” She softly cooed.
For some reason, hearing such soothing words caused a tear to fall from Onica’s welled up eyes. Tears weren’t streaming down their face like Kianna, but still. “Okay.” Onica sniffled.
With that, Veronica slithered off with Onica in her arms. After Kianna watched as Onica was taken away deep into the jungle, the villagers carried a naked Nayuki to the tribe’s doctor. There, the doctor cleaned the cat’s scrapes on his feet and the scratches on his hands.
“Based on the bruising around his torso, he broke two ribs.” The tiger doctor explained.
Kianna’s heart ached. If she had known Nayuki was going to be this horribly hurt, she would have thought of another way to save Onica. “Is he… going to die?” Kianna hesitantly spoke out.
The doctor looked at Kianna with sympathetic eyes as she held Nayuki’s fur toga. “He will be fine. Nature Beastman have accelerated healing. Your mate’s hands and feet are already healing.” She reassured her. “As for the rest of him, I’ll wrap his torso in gauze to keep his ribs in place. But he must rest for two days until his body heals.” The tiger doctor instructed. After some time, she had bandaged up Nayuki’s thin body.
Eventually, Nayuki groaned on the cot he laid in with a fur blanket covering his lower half. His green eyes then fluttered open. “Kianna…” Nayuki called in a groggy voice.
Kianna frowned down at the cat and placed her hand on top of his. The doctor was right, Nayuki’s hands were already forming scabs across his palms. His hands would likely be all healed in five minutes as if he was never injured. “I’m here.” Kianna replied. "I’m sorry.” She softly breathed out.
Nayuki’s eyes softened. “Why are you sorry?” He asked.
“Are you serious?” Kianna blinked in disbelief. “You broke your ribs because I told you to rescue Onica.”
At first, Nayuki gawked in response. Then, his expression relaxed and his green cat eyes sparkled. “You’re so kind, Kianna.” Nayuki blushed. “I’m grateful to have someone like you feel sadness in your heart for me.” He said, clasping both hands around Kianna’s hand as he spoke. Nayuki closed his eyes. “But I don’t deserve it… Your friend is gone because I wasn’t strong enough to protect Onica from that feral beast.”
“That’s not your fault!” Kianna snapped. Nayuki frowned in response. The pale girl then sighed and said “Besides, we can still go out and find Onica, right?”
Nayuki nodded. “I was a hunter in the cat tribe we came from. I’m certain I can help you track the feral who took Onica.”

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 6
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Catty Mate
Kianna stared at the young man. He was wearing a reddish brown fur skin in the style of a toga. “What’s your name?” She asked in a flat tone.
“Nayuki.” The cat beastman replied.
Kianna thought for a moment. She remembered how Nurturers required a mate to survive in this world. Kianna would refuse any Nature Beastman, but the chief of this tribe would probably trade her to another clan like the cat chief did. Without a mate to protect her, Kianna knew she had a higher chance of being killed by wild beasts. This almost occurred when she first arrived in the Beast World and Kianna didn’t wish to become something’s prey again. Additionally, without someone to provide for her, she would die of starvation due to being physically unable to hunt. Noting these things, Kianna made up her mind.
Nayuki’s facial expression was neutral. Noticing Kianna’s hesitation, he thought he should showcase himself in other ways to enhance his chances of gaining her approval. “I’m a dark brown Bengal Cat.” Nayuki stated.
Onica then spoke up and asked, “Wait, are you from the cat tribe we came from?” Their voice held disbelief. Onica and Kianna had traveled for several days from the cat clan to reach one of the tribes of the tiger clan. The idea a young man had decided to do the same in order to court a mate was insane to them.
Nayuki nodded to Onica in response, but he held his gaze onto Kianna for an answer. Beyond showing off his physical strength, he was willing to appeal to the Nurturer through the personality traits and physical characteristics of his breed if that’s what it took to finally have a mate of his own.
“I’ll take you as a mate if you accept them, too.” Kianna said, nodding to Onica.
Nayuki glanced at Onica and asked, “What?”
“They’re my sibling. I don’t want to leave them.” Kianna explained, latching onto Onica’s thin arm.
Nayuki was confused by this. Nature Beastman were physically unable to take multiple mates. None had the desire or ability to do such a thing. A Nature Beastman’s very being wouldn’t allow it. Regardless, perhaps Kianna was being protective of their sibling until they found themself a mate. Since this was likely a temporary situation, Nayuki said “If allowing your sibling to live with us means you’ll accept me as your mate, then I don’t mind.”
Kianna heavily sighed and said “Yes.”
A glint of joy shown in Nayuki’s shiny green eyes. Kianna took him as her mate. Although Nayuki didn’t express it, he was incredibly happy. He then approached the chief at the head of the banquet table and said “Tiger Chief, may my family and I have permission to live in your tribe?”
The tiger chief turned to Nayuki and asked, “What is your name, lad?”
“Nayuki, I’m part of the cat clan.” He explained.
The elderly man smiled at him from the wooden bench. “I am Chief Yaya. Of course you and your family may live here. I will have a warrior escort you to a vacant home to move into.”
Nayuki respectfully bowed to the man and said “Thank you.” The feline then returned to Kianna and suddenly stripped in front of her eyes. Before she could react, Nayuki handed his fur toga to Kianna and dropped on all fours. The Nature Beastman’s body then morphed and transformed into a dark mahogany feline. Nayuki appeared to be a miniature wild cat with his exotic black spotted coat despite being from a clan made up of various housecat breeds. His body then grew to the size of a full grown male lion and he approached Kianna from behind. From there, Nayuki forced his head in between Kianna’s legs and tossed her backwards onto his back.
“Ah!” Kianna jumped as she fell onto Nayuki’s back.
Yaya then turned to Onica and Kianna with a frown on his white bearded face. “Your sister has claimed a mate, how about you take one of our tigers?” He asked, staring at Onica. “Surely, one of them has proven their strength to you.” Yaya said, gesturing towards the several tigers still going head-to-head in fights to win Onica’s favor.
Onica blinked at the chief. “Uh…” They fumbled over their words. “I haven’t come of age yet”. Onica lied.
“Even so, you can still take a mate.” Yaya reassured them.
Onica hummed in frustration. They weren’t going to select someone simply for their strength. To avoid the topic for now, Onica explained they weren’t interested in taking a mate at this time and wanted to settle in first. The excuse seemed to work.
Yaya seemed to understand Onica’s reasoning, even though he wasn’t happy about it. He then turned to Kianna and said “There are plenty more Nature Beastman who would love a pretty Nurturer, like yourself, as a mate.”
Kianna adjusted her dark brown skirt on Nayuki’s back to conceal herself. “I only want one mate.” She bluntly stated.
Yaya was stunned as he began to sweat. “One mate?! I’ve never heard of such a thing!” He exclaimed. “How are you supposed to be protected and cared for while your one mate is away? What if something happens to you?” Yaya cried. The elderly man then stood from the bench and clapped his hands together. “Please, Nurturer, at least take one more mate. Your life is too precious.”
Nayuki screeched in protest. His shiny green eyes were narrowed to a threatening glare. Kianna could feel his soft fur stand on end. The intimidation shot through Yaya, causing him to sit back down. Although Onica and Kianna couldn’t understand Nayuki in his cat form, the other Nature Beastman obviously could translate his speech regardless of what type of animal he is. At that moment, Nayuki was irritated to hear the chief push Kianna into taking a second mate. He didn’t want to share her with anyone.
After that, a nervous warrior approached and said “Follow me.”
Kianna, Nayuki and Onica later arrived at their new home. The circumference of the hollowed-out jungle tree compared to a redwood, but had a wide opening several feet above the ground.
Onica looked up with their hand hovering above their eyes. “The entrance is ten feet above us. How are we supposed to get inside?”
To answer Onica’s question, Nayuki leaped up and landed inside the tree with Kianna on his back. When Onica thought they had been left behind, Nayuki jumped down from the tree and assisted them inside the same way. Once all three of them were inside the tree’s trunk, Onica was surprised to see a thick layer of hay laid out in a corner of the floor.
Nayuki meowed at Kianna before shifting back into a man. Averting her eyes, Kianna handed the cat his fur toga to cover himself. “Will this be comfortable enough for you?” Nayuki asked Kianna, in a tone Onica couldn’t decipher.
Kianna nodded in response. Onica then pointed at the hay located in the back of the tree’s interior and asked, “What’s that?”
“A bed.” Nayuki bluntly replied.
“Oh.” Onica gawked. By the way Nayuki responded, they felt a bit stupid for not taking an educated guess. Onica then tilted their head back and noticed a hole in the ceiling. It was big enough to let someone through with ease. “I hope water won't leak through if it rains.”
Nayuki glanced up at the hole. He didn’t show any sign of worry on his face. Without a word, Nayuki bent his knees and leapped into the air, grabbing ahold of the ledge to pull himself through. There was a light thump where Nayuki landed above. The Bengal Cat then spun on his heel and popped his head out. His mahogany hair stood out as his expressionless eyes blinked down at the two Nurturers on the ground floor. “It’s just the second level to the house.” Nayuki announced.
Onica and Kianna stared above them. “Second level?” Kianna repeated.
“Hollow tree homes have above levels to serve as rooms for multiple mates and children.” Nayuki explained.
“How many levels are inside this tree?” Kianna asked.
Nayuki disappeared for a moment. Onica and Kianna assumed he must have been exploring to be certain of his surroundings. After a minute or two, Nayuki returned. “Counting the level you’re in, three.” The Bengal Cat replied.
Onica blinked in disbelief. “–And it’s sturdy? Wow.” They exhaled.
Without warning, Nayuki jumped down, gracefully landing on his feet. “If you want to stay in either of the higher levels, let me know. I’ll carry you up.”
Onica helplessly huffed. “Great. We’re always going to need his help to move between the tree’s levels... And we’ll always need his help to enter and exit the tree, too.” They said in a sarcastic tone.
It had been a little over a week since Onica and Kianna arrived in the Beast World. Although they were provided with shelter inside a hollow tree, it had been a while since either of them took care of their personal hygiene. Onica and Kianna’s hair is greasy. In addition, their skin felt thick and dry with dirt.
Onica began digging around in their decent sized black shoulder bag. Inside, they found a pair of nail clippers, but nothing else to tend to their bodily needs. “Kianna, what’s inside your purse?” They asked.
Kianna then dumped the contents of her black leather purse out onto the floor. Inside were various makeup products and a little hair comb. Neither person had toothpaste, floss or a toothbrush.
Nayuki eyed Kianna and the odd thing she was holding. “What is that?” He asked.
“My purse.” Kianna bluntly replied. “I need it and everything in it.” She said, clutching the leather bag to her chest.
Nayuki nodded. “What are you looking for?” He was curious to know if he could do anything to help his new mate.
Kianna held up her comb and asked, “Do you have anything like this in your world?”
Nayuki curiously stared at the plastic comb. “No, but we have things that look similar.”
“Where?” Onica desperately asked.

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 5
Tumblr media
Showcase of Strength
Onica and Kianna exchanged looks. Worry graced Onica’s face as they stared at the five-foot-two tall girl. Kianna’s amber eyes concealed any emotion. Her face was straight of any expression. Despite this, Kianna was internally troubled by this situation as Onica was. If she didn’t do something, she was going to be separated from the one person who has not only helped her since arriving in the Beast World but was also from the same world as her. “I refuse to be separated from my sibling.” Kianna blurted.
Onica immediately sealed their lips. They were afraid if they talked, they would ruin the plan Kianna had in mind. Onica simply hoped this would work.
Kiki examined the two Nurturers in his presence. Looking back and forth between them, he noticed some similar traits they both seemed to possess. Firstly, Onica and Kianna were quite short, as well as thin. Secondly, their skin tones were pale white. Both of them also have large eyes, despite the obvious color differences. Finally, the two share jaw-length dark brown hairstyles.
“You two do share characteristics of some resemblance.” However, Kiki already took note of Onica’s mate preferences earlier. If these two were from the same litter, it was understandable why the pair were close and refused to separate until being matted off. In addition, Onica and Kianna’s budding maturity rates were almost in sync. Although most children from the same litter matured at the same time, there were cases where the runt of the litter would be a late bloomer in comparison to their stronger siblings. Based on Kiki’s observations, Onica would likely mature later than Kianna if his theory was correct. With this in mind, it was a simple solution in his eyes. “Very well, you will both be sold tonight.” Kiki concluded.
For the chief, this was perfect timing. The King of the Cat Clan had ordered every tribe under his reign to prepare for an exchange with the cousin Tiger Clan. Although the nations were lands apart, warriors were assigned to make the journey into each other’s clans to collect their promised resources in return for equally valuable goods. Of course, what was handed over weighed entirely on what both clans had to offer. As such, the haul would vary each season.
When Kiki turned around, Niko finally returned to the mud hut with the fish for Onica and Kianna. He had slowly turned the trout over a fire using a steadily burning stick to cook it.
“Niko, Onica and Kianna are going to be part of the exchanged goods tonight.” Kiki announced. “Seeing as you rescued both Nurturers, you will escort them to the gathering.” He instructed.
Niko bowed his head respectfully. “Understood, chief!” He replied.
Kiki then patted the young man’s shoulder and exited the clinic hut. With the fish on a stick in hand, Niko used his sharp nails to carve out two fish filets. Utilizing his keen eyes, the black cat was able to see the fish bones camouflaged in the flaky trout and pick them out. Niko then handed Onica and Kianna their own wooden plate of a trout filet. “The Oak Wood should’ve given the fish great flavor. The flavor of the meat changes depending on what wood you use.” He explained. Before either of them could begin chowing down, Niko filled two wooden cups with clean water he also boiled. He then handed Onica and Kianna a cup each to provide them with fresh water to drink.
“Thank you, Niko.” Onica sighed. A deep frown was plastered on their face at the news.
Kianna gratefully took her plate and said “Thank you very much, Niko.”
Regardless of what Niko said about the wood flavorings, Onica knew the food still likely tastes bland. Since Felix wasn’t gardening the many ‘medicine’ baskets, they decided to borrow some salt, pepper and parsley to spice up both their food with some real flavor. Even though the meal was decent, it didn’t settle the pits in Onica and Kianna’s stomachs.
That night, Niko escorted Onica and Kianna to the center of the tribe. There, several long torches were lit to illuminate the area. Crickets chirped and fire crackled all around. The night air was cool, but not cold. Flowers bloomed across the tribe grounds. Several tribal warriors were outside to receive what welcomed goods the Tiger Clan had in store.
Being outside at night caused Onica to feel a bit panicked. Without city lights and neon signs everywhere, the land revealed how dark it could truly be. Not even Kianna dared to wander past the fire’s glow out of fear she would become lost in the darkness of the surrounding forest. The black environment caught Onica and Kianna by surprise when a bengal tiger emerged out of nowhere. Various bags were strapped to its back as if the tiger was cattle. The tiger, along with a few others, were eighteen feet tall. Onica and Kianna knew Nature Beastman were able to change their overall size at will, but neither of them knew it was to this extent. Now, it felt like they were being sacrificed to this clan of tigers rather than being sold off like mere objects.
“Welcome dear warriors of the Tiger Clan!” Kiki greeted them. “You may be one of many tribes, but I am grateful you chose our central tribe this fine spring season out of the many other flourishing tribes in the Cat Clan. This is our first exchange of the year out of four. I hope we’ll be off to a strong start.” Kiki stated.
All the tigers curled up on the ground. Then, more Nature Beastman stepped forward from behind the large beasts. These males and females all possessed a pair of tiger ears. Amongst them, a woman with orange hair approached and respectfully bowed to Kiki. “Greetings, Cat Chief. I am the appointed warrior in charge of this expedition on behalf of my clan.” Kiki bowed his head slightly in acknowledgment. “Tonight, we bring you rattan, camphor oil, palm oil and salt... If you shall choose.” She presented.
Kiki gasped at the female Nature Beastman’s last offering. His eyes nearly bulged out of his head. “Salt? Surely, you jest.” Kiki chuckled. “Even if you obtained such a high demand resource, why trade it away? Your Nurturers’ immune systems need it more to avoid illness.”
“Our King sought council with the Mermaid Clan’s King and struck a bargain. A year’s supply of salt in exchange for a Nurturer.” The female tiger explained.
Onica inched their neck forward. “Did she just say Mermaid Clan?” They asked, turning to Kianna. The teenager nodded to Onica in response, but held no reaction. Regardless, even Kianna was internally stunned. If mermaids existed here, it begged the question of what other mythical beings lived in this world.
Kiki nodded. “How fortunate for your people.” Turning to the side, he curled his fingers towards him. Several soldiers then followed his command and came forth carrying hefty chunks of stones. “If you wish to choose, you may have coal, iron, limestone and Nurturers.”
On cue, Niko gently pushed Onica and Kianna forward to present the offered Nurturers. Onica nervously balled their hands into fists and held them to their chest. They were too shy to meet anyone’s gaze. Meanwhile, Kianna held her head high, but her jaw was clenched as she narrowed her eyes at those around her. She was angry at the entire ordeal.
Several people gasped in response. “This is fantastic news!” Someone exclaimed. “We’d be very fortunate for one Nurturer, but two?!” Another cried, flabbergasted. “What incredible luck!” Somebody cheered.
In case Nurturers were ever offered in transactions, only the strongest and eligible warriors of Nature Beastman were allowed to participate in clan trades. It’s common to face dangers while traversing between clans. Thus, Nature Beastman safely guard any resources obtained during said trips to ensure everything arrives to their designated clan.
The female tiger from before then approached Onica and Kianna. She looked at the two with sorrow in her eyes. “I’m terribly sorry for your losses, Nurturers. I hope none of you suffered the pain of losing your children along with your mates”. The female said in a low and sympathetic voice.
“Neither of these Nurturers are being offered because they’ve lost their families.” Kiki reassured her.
The female tiger raised an eyebrow at the chief. “Oh? Are these Cat Nurturers simply interested in Nature Beastman from another clan? This isn’t an unusual circumstance and my tribe would certainly welcome them for being open-minded.”
“Ha-ha, this pair of siblings aren’t from the Cat Clan. You could say they were a gift from the Ape Clan.” Kiki grinned through a chuckle.
The female tiger then bowed slightly to Onica and Kianna. “I’m grateful to have you both join my tribe in the tiger clan. I hope you’ll share your wisdom and knowledge with us.”
Once the exchanges were made, the female tiger took Onica and Kianna from Niko. She then assisted the two onto one of the shifted tigers and the beast rose from its place. Onica and Kianna’s bodies swayed as they rode on the huge tiger. Jumping off would likely cause them to sprain or break a bone. Despite being bought with salt, Onica and Kianna had to admit they were a bit excited to be riding on a tiger. This would have never happened back in their home world.
The journey took several days as everyone traveled on foot. Warriors were on watch at all times against any potential threats along the way. Stopping only occurred for meals. At night, the group set up camp to rest until daylight the following day. While traveling, Onica and Kianna had talked a lot. The two wanted to run away at any opportunity, but had mutually agreed only to escape if either of them were in any real danger. If they ran now, they were both sure to be caught by the alert tigers. Besides, it was obvious by the passing landscapes there wasn’t anything to run to. Onica and Kianna would be fending against the wilderness at every turn, but they were willing to do it if it meant they would be free. Regardless, the option would always be on the table for future use.
Eventually, everyone arrived at the Tiger Clan. The scenery had changed from a forested valley to a humid jungle. Unlike the Cat Clan, there were no housing structures. A horn sounded as the warriors returned. Suddenly, people sprang from all around and large crowds cheered on either side of the parading tigers. The warriors were showing off the goods they collected to the tribe members, which included Onica and Kianna. Onica was embarrassed to be looked up at by these thrilled strangers. Meanwhile, Kianna was exasperated as she stared straight ahead, refusing to make eye contact with anyone.
The tribe’s leader announced a grand banquet is to be held in celebration. During which, eligible Nature Beastman could spar against one another to show off their strength, skill and fighting techniques in hopes of catching one of the new Nurturer’s attention. Onica and Kianna were told to stay near the chief. Single Nature Beastman were eager to bring the Nurturers food as several male and female-looking tribe members began brawling in their human forms. Anyone not battling were either enjoying the food or rooting for a fighter in the crowd. It was clear this spectacle was pure entertainment for these people.
Suddenly, a hiss reached Onica and Kianna’s ears. A five-foot ten male approached a female tiger. This male was a pale-skinned teenager with mahogany hair and shiny green eyes. However, instead of having small, round ears of a tiger, this young man possessed larger triangular ears of a cat.
“You’re not from the Tiger Clan!” The female tiger growled.
The male’s expression was stern with determination, but his eyes said he was bored. “I don’t care. I traveled from the Cat Clan to be here and I plan on pursuing Kianna.” He said in a flat tone.
With that, the male and female lunged at each other. The two locked hands and began pushing against one other to see who was the strongest. At first, neither opponent budged. Their bodies were rigid and refused to move, but the female saw an opportunity and attempted to trip the male with her foot the second he stepped closer. She hopped to make him slip backwards, but the male feline wasn’t fazed and maintained his stance. In the struggle, he spun her around until the female tiger lost her footing, allowing him to push her off to the side. The female growled as she landed on her butt, too humiliated to ask Kianna to accept her as a mate.
In the end, the male turned and made his way across the jungle clearing to Kianna. “May I become your mate?” He asked in a low voice.

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Mate or Die
According to Onica, they instructed Felix to specifically wash Kianna’s underwear in cold water, while scrubbing the cloth with lemon juice and salt. Then, let it dry with exposure to sunlight. This was apparently an alternative to removing blood from clothes without hydrogen peroxide. Because of this, Kianna’s only pair of underwear was saved. She was able to put them back on later. Of course, Kianna lined it with the cotton strips Onica requested for her earlier. Thanks to this method, the light brunette haired girl was free to walk around again.
“What are you doing up, Kianna?” Niko asked, walking into the clinic hut. “Nurturers on their uterus cycles should stay seated and indoors at all times until the seven days are up.” He explained.
“Onica helped me find a way to manage the bleeding. As long as I have lots of cotton, I’ll be fine.” She replied in a flat tone.
“Huh?” Niko gawked, tilting his head to the side. The black cat couldn’t understand how Kianna could come across as blunt and emotionless as a demanding feline while maintaining the intelligence of an ape. Perhaps her mother was a cat.
“What’s that smell?” Onica cringed, entering the clinic hut. They momentarily stepped out to dump the bloody water from the wooden bowl Felix previously used to clean Kianna’s underwear. Setting the bowl down, Onica looked up to see Niko holding some kind of trout in his hands.
Niko grinned at Onica. His yellow eyes sparkled at her words. “I caught some fish by our tribe river for you and Kianna to eat. You both must be starving.”
Onica stared at the dead-eyed fish in his hands. Their frown deepened. Based on the algae and pungent fishy odor, Niko had yet to wash the trout properly. “Oh! Uh, thank you. We can eat it once it has been prepared.” Onica replied.
Niko beamed at them. “Of course! I’ll have the trout washed and cut up for you.” The black cat smiled. “Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to get rid of any bones. I don’t want either of you getting hurt.” Niko reassured them.
Kianna pursed her mouth. “Are you not going to cook it?” She questioned. Sure, sushi exists in her original world, but Kianna believed it wasn’t safe to consume anything raw from this universe. If it came down to it, she would cook the fish herself.
Niko turned his body around to face Kianna. “Huh? Cook it? What do you mean?” He questioned.
Onica face-palmed themself in response. They were surely going to die at this rate from salmonella due to uncooked food and unsanitized water. Since Niko hadn’t heard of cooking before, it was safe to assume Beastman had no need to worry about contracting such diseases with their animal biology. Unfortunately, Onica and Kianna were human and have much different biology compared to a cat.
Onica averted their eyes. They had no idea how to explain their different physical needs without causing suspicion to them being from another world. “Um…” Onica hummed. They paused. Onica was at a loss for words.
Seeing Onica’s distress, Kianna acknowledged the situation. “They want to show you a better way to enjoy fish.” She blurted.
Onica’s eyebrows rose. Their pale blue eyes widened. “Yes!” Onica exclaimed, turning on their heel to point at Kianna. Turning back to Niko, they smiled and said “I want to show you a new way to eat fish. It will taste much better this way.”
Niko huffed. “I highly doubt you can make fish taste any better than it already does. But I’ll do whatever you want.”
Onica beamed. “Great! Do you know how to start a fire?” They were nervously twiddling their fingers. Onica had never made a fire before and certainly wouldn’t know how to figure it out now.
“Of course,” Niko nodded. “Do you wish to bathe?” He asked.
“Huh?” Onica blinked in confusion. “No.” They replied, shaking their head. “I want to use fire to cook the fish.” Onica explained.
“The Ape Clan is confusing.” Niko mumbled to himself. “Okay. I’ll make a fire outside.”
“Good. Then, can you boil some water for me?” Onica asked.
Niko nodded and said, “I’ll find an iron pot.” With that, the black cat turned and started heading towards the door.
Onica then gasped upon realizing they had forgotten something. “Wait!” They cried, stretching out their hand. “Where are you getting the water from?”
Niko stopped to look over his shoulder at Onica’s question. “Bathing water is gathered from nearby lakes and ponds. Drinking water is from the river.” Niko explained.
“Good. Any water we consume should always come from a running source.” Onica sighed in relief.
Kianna then spoke up and asked, “Do any of you pee in these water sources?”
Niko violently shook his head. “Oh, no! Water is far too precious to contaminate. It’s a wide-known rule to never pee or poop within a hundred feet of any water.”
Although Kianna didn’t react, she seemed content with the answer. It was certainly something Onica was relieved to hear. “Good to know!” They sighed.
After the conversation, Niko was out the door. Felix had left a while ago to gather fresh herbs from the forest and wouldn’t be returning anytime soon. Not a moment after Niko went to the front of the hut, the village chief paid Onica and Kianna a visit.
“Dear child, now that you’ve come of age, it’s time to pick your first mate.” Kiki announced. “I’ll gather every eligible Nature Beastman in the village and have you choose from them. Are you attracted to male or female-looking Beastman?”
Kianna’s jaw instantly dropped to the floor. Female Beastman may be physically mature to bear children by age sixteen, but human females needed to be at least twenty-two years old to physically and mentally mother a child. Being a sixteen-year-old girl, Kianna wasn’t ready to have a partner or raise kids. “Uh, I like both…” She hesitantly said. Kianna didn’t want to answer, but considering she had witnessed first-hand what these Nature Beastman were capable of, she didn’t want to anger them and end up dead.
Kiki pumped his fist into the air and said “Splendid, dear child! I’ll gather everyone to the clinic hut!”
“Hold on!” Onica cried, holding a hand out. “What if Kianna isn’t ready to find a mate? Or doesn’t like any of the Nature Beastman here?” They questioned, hoping to come to this poor girl’s defense. Onica had no idea how old Kianna is, but they knew she’s likely in her adolescent years. Being eighteen themself, they instinctively were defensive of the potential teenage child in the room.
“Well, then I would exchange Kianna for goods to another clan.” Kiki bluntly replied.
Onica’s eyes widened at this. “Exchange? As in, sell? You’re just going to sell her off if she doesn’t pick a mate from your clan?!”
Kiki’s green cat eyes were stern. “Of course, Nurturers are a precious and rare resource. If Kianna doesn’t wish to mate with anyone from this tribe or any other part of the cat clan, I’ll have to sell her. A Nurturer’s purpose is to mate and use their abilities to raise a loving family. Without Nurturers, offspring fail to learn compassion, sympathy, empathy, devotion and trust. In addition, they won’t know how to build and maintain healthy relationships... As a result, the young are nothing but monsters.”
“Why can’t Nature Beastman teach these things to their kids?” Onica argued.
Kiki then paused to catch his breath before he continued and said, “Nature Beastman are more animal than person. They’re controlled by instinct rather than logic, morals or emotions. Nature Beastman can’t teach what they naturally lack.”
Onica was defeated. Although change is nature, this only applies to the part people can influence. This wasn’t it. Telling this different species to change their life cycles was like telling a human being to not be happy or to always be heterosexual. These things were simply part of Beastman kind and weren’t going to change.
Onica sighed. “Okay, but what if this one Nurturer didn’t take a Nature Beastman as a mate but another Nurturer instead?” This was a long shoot, but at least Kianna would be with someone a bit more sane.
Kiki shook his head in response. “A Nurturer’s genetics are also required for Beastman to gain the form of a person. Without that, the offspring are nothing but savage animals, incapable of farming, building, matting a person, etcetera.”
Onica’s mouth was agape. “It’s biologically impossible for Nature Beastman or Nurturer Beastman to mate with one another…”
Kiki nodded firmly. “Nature Beastman couples kill each other and their offspring. They’re too dominant, controlling, aggressive and possessive. Nurturer couples don’t feel attraction, purpose or safety with each other. They always end up dead due to lack of survival support.”
Kianna and Onica were horrified at their current predicament. Based on the chief’s matter-of-fact tone, these were historical facts of this world. If Kianna and Onica wanted to survive, they had to find Nature Beastman mates.

Vampire Knight: Senri's Yandere for Kianna — Part 14 (Requested)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No Respect
The first semester's final exams were upon Cross Academy. Yuki was stressed beyond measure due to the Day Class representative pressuring her and Zero to ace every subject. He blames the Disciplinary Committee members for dropping their class's average every year. As a result, the Day Class always loses against the Night Class when competing to see which class will work the ball that year.
Luckily for Yuki, Kianna was good in mathematics. It was the subject she struggled in the most. The two girls, along with Sayori, continued to form a study group after class in preparation for finals all month long. Through this, Kianna was able to bond with Yuki and Sayori over time. Eventually, the trio became friends.
Testing Day had arrived. It was Thursday. The following day would be reserved for setting up the ball. On Friday night, the party would commence. Then, winter break would start.
"It's finally over"! Yuki sighed in relief. She sat in the second to last row at the top of the lecture hall classroom. Yuki was exhausted, laying over the desk with her arms dangling off the other side.
Sayori tapped her books against the desk beside her best friend. "Now we just have to wait for the scores". She softly added with her eyes closed.
Kianna sat at the back of the class with Zero as usual. She blinked down at the two friends in the row below her. Kianna was certain she passed every subject. She looked at Zero from the side. The silver-haired boy had taken every portion of the exams as everyone else, but he was tired. Zero likely passed the math and science portions, but nothing else. When Kianna heard him huff beside her, she knew what he meant. She then slid out of the bench and allowed Zero to excuse himself from class. The teenager simply walked down the aisle steps with his hands stuffed into his pockets and left. It was obvious Zero wasn't interested in seeing the test scores.
The remaining Day Class students had crowded outside the classroom around the hall. They swarmed the bulletin board comparing test scores. Students were ranked from highest to lowest based on their overall scores. The class rep was screaming in defeat.
Kianna guessed they lost. This meant Day Class was working the ball. Although Kianna knew she had to help set up the ballroom, she still wanted to know how she faired against her peers. Exiting the classroom, Kianna joined the others.
Yuki and Sayori soon followed after her. Out in the hall, Yuki was met with a fuming class rep. He was grinding his teeth as he pushed his square glasses up his nose. "Yuki, this is all your fault"! The dark haired male cried. "You got the lowest score out of the entire class"!
Kianna pushed through the crowd of people. Eventually, she made her way to the front of the board. Kianna was in twenty-fifth place out of fifty students. She gained an over all score of ninty-five on her exams. It wasn’t perfect, but Kianna was happy with the results.
The class rep continued to complain. "An eighty is unacceptable"! He scolded.
Sayori placed a comforting hand on Yuki's shoulder. The poor girl was practically shaking beside her. "That’s not fair, class rep"! Sayori cried. "Eighty is still passing. Even Zero got an eighty". She argued in her best friends defense.
"All I know is, Yuki better finish up all her work before the ball. I don't want to be picking up her slack and miss my chance to dance with Ruka"! Class Rep, exclaimed.
Kianna blinked up at the Night Class' overall exam scores. Each student gaind a one-hundread. Competing against vampires was unfair. They lived longer and had a more expensive education than most humans. As such, Kianna couldn't understand how Kaien expected the day class to ever beat the night class. Then again, perhaps all of this was a tactic for the headmaster to push his human students into studying hard every year for exams.
The next day, the entire day class is expected to report to the ballroom. Students were each handed an assignment and split off to work in groups based on their task. Due to their short stature, Yuki, Sayori and Kianna were told to make decorations. The trio were sitting on their knees, cutting paper snowflakes on the floor. At some point or another, Yuki zoned out in thought. Kianna thought her worries would be over by now, but it seemed she was mistaken.
Nudging Sayori, Kianna asked, "What's wrong with Yuki"?
Sayori shrugged. Whatever was going on, Yuki clearly hadn’t even told her best friend. "I think she's having a bit of boy trouble". Sayori whispered.
The split second Sayori said this, Zero walked by carrying various trays of food to a buffet table. Yuki clearly blushed for a moment before turning her head away.
Kianna hummed in understanding. Whatever was going on between Yuki and Zero was none of her business. With that, Kianna went back to snipping paper.
"Yuki, quit daydreaming"! The class rep scolded. "Honesty, I would've thought you'd put more effort into working after what happened. I heard, when you turned in your math answer sheet, all you wrote was your name"! He cried.
"Ah"! Yuki jumped. Upon hearing the class rep, the brunette started hastily cutting the blue and white paper in her hands.
Kianna rolled her amber eyes at this. If the boy wasn't her class representative, she would've called him out on his obvious lie. He shouldn't believe every rumor that reaches his ears.
"Come on"! A day class girl pressured. "Let’s hurry up with our work so we can take turns practicing dancing". She giggled.
Sayori then turned to Kianna and said "Hey, Kianna, do you have a date to tonight's ball"?
Kianna nodded. "My boyfriend asked me". She flatly replied.
"Oh, your boyfriend is Shiki, right"? Sayori asked. She honestly wasn't sure and wanted to confirm the rumors. Then again, Sayori never paid much attention to gossip in the first place. Kianna nodded again. "I see, so you and Yuki are expecting a Night Class student as a date". Sayori said, recalling Kaname appearing during the day to ask about Yuki. "That’s good. Even as staff, we're allowed to take turns dancing". She concluded.
"Ugh". Yuki grimanced in worry. Remembering how nearly all the female day class students chased her afterwards sent a chill down her spine. Yuki felt bad having to throw her textbooks into Sayori's arms earlier that day before she took off running.
Kianna blankly stared at Yuki. She assumed, based on her reaction to Zero, that he would be escorting her to the ball. However, Kaname seemed to have snagged Yuki first. Regardless, it wasn't any of her business. Yet, Kianna did wonder how Senri felt about the matter. This was his Pureblood cousin taking a human girl to a ball, after all. Not that Kianna cared either way. She simply thought the idea was interesting.
"That doesn't mean any of us can't still dance with Senri or Kaname". A day class girl blurtted, walking past them.
Kianna immediately stood up. "Like either of them would dance with you". She snipped back.
"Besides, it's rude to ask someone else's date to dance with you". Sayori stated. She was right. Traditionally speaking, a person was only allowed to dance with their date and no one else. But this was a modern dance and the rules were a bit more flexible.
Another girl shrugged as she passed by the trio. "Who knows? Senri or Kaname could be polite and save us a dance".
"Just ignore them". Sayori said to Kianna. "If Shiki is a loyal boyfriend, he'll refuse everyone else".
Kianna exhailed to calm herself down. Sayori was right again. Remembering what kind of person Senri is, Kianna quietly gathered all the paper snowflakes they had made so far and walked off to hand them over to another student.
At the end of the day, the ballroom looked beautiful. White fabric hung from the chandler's bottom center. The strands then flared out in all directions and were tied to pillars. More white fabric was drapped across indoor balconies on the second floor foyer. The white and ice blue snowflake decorations were coatted with glitter and hung on clear wire around the room. A buffet table was laid out and a live orchestra was said to arrive soon. Now, all Kianna had to do was get ready.

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 3
Tumblr media
Easily Swayed
Niko immediately scooped Kianna back into his arms. Although she wasn’t his mate, unmated Nature Beastman still have the instinct to care for Nurturer Beastman. “Don’t worry, Kianna, I’ll get you to the doctor.” Niko reassured her. Before Onica could blink, the humanoid cat was out the door again.
“Wait! I want to go, too!” Onica cried. Even though they weren’t injured, they were incredibly curious as to what kind of medical care this world had. For all Onica knew, it could involve dangerous practices from the nineteenth century, which didn’t treat patients. Instead, the horrific treatments left people with severe disabilities or death.
Kianna sighed in frustration. She’s had no say in anything since she arrived in this strange place. The only positive side to this situation was she wasn’t alone. Whoever the incredibly short person was in the hut happened to be from the same world as her. That was obvious based on their clothes. Unfortunately, Kianna was whisked away to another place all because of a twisted ankle. She was sure she would be fine if she could stretch it, but these cat shifters were extremely concerned over nothing.
“Doctor Felix! A Nurturer needs your assistance!” Niko cried.
A humanoid man with orange tabby cat ears then pushed open the wooden door to his medical hut. “Niko? You have a Nurturer?” He questioned. Felix then stared at Kianna and nodded. “Please come in.” He insisted.
The calm doctor then left his door wide open and walked back into his hut. Inside, the floor was the dirt ground, but there was a woven rug or two laid out for patients to sit on. Niko approached one of these rugs and sat with his legs crossed. There, Kianna was positioned in the cat’s lap. In the center of the hut was a fire pit. The smoke rose up and out of a hole in the ceiling. Lining the circumference of the huts floor were several woven baskets, which each held herbs and spices.
“What seems to be the problem?” The composed doctor asked.
“I twisted my left ankle. It’s nothing to worry about.” Kianna dismissed.
Niko huffed in response. “Of course it is!” He hissed. “You need to be happy, safe and healthy.” Niko insisted. “You are as clueless as Onica.” He muttered under his breath.
Felix nodded in agreement. He then approached Kianna and looked at Niko. “May I touch your mate?” Felix asked.
Niko shifted his eyes elsewhere. “She’s not my mate.” He mumbled.
Felix pursed his lips. “My apologies…” He said, bowing his head. Felix then redirected his attention onto Kianna and asked, “May I please touch you?” Kianna nodded in response. Kneeling in front of the pair, Felix removed Kianna’s left shoe and set it aside. He then looked up at the entrance to see the chief arrived.
Out of respect, Felix bowed his head. “Hello, chief. What brings you here?” He enquired.
“I’ve brought a Nurturer with me. They wish to see your work in action.” Kiki announced.
“Really? No Nurturer has ever taken an interest in my work before.” Felix gasped.
Onica then came walking up and wandered inside the hut. “Sorry, don’t mind me. I am just curious.” They awkwardly admitted. From inside, Onica quietly settled onto the other woven rug.
“Curiosity is a wonderful thing.” Felix smiled. His greenish yellow eyes held a soft look towards Onica. Felix’s gaze then lingered on the person for a moment to their dismay. Onica wasn’t trying to gain the doctor’s attention, but it seemed it was easy to attract. Due to this, they shyly stared into their lap to avoid further interruption. With that, Felix turned back towards Kianna and frowned. “I'm afraid I am unfamiliar with this thin skin.” He said, referring to Kianna’s tights. “You’ll have to remove them if I am going to conduct a proper examination.” Felix instructed.
Kianna wanted to squirm uncomfortably, but she feared smearing blood all over Niko if she did. “Okay, but you and Niko need to leave for a moment so I can change with some privacy.”
Onica then lifted their head. “Oh, can one of you please find strips of cotton for Kianna?” They requested.
Felix smiled and said “Of course, I know exactly where to get some.” The orange tabby cat then rose from his position and gestured for Niko to follow him. Scooting out of the black cat’s lap, Kianna watched as the two humanoid cat beastman left her alone with the person named Onica.
After the males left, Onica leaned into Kianna’s space. Although the beastman were gone, they weren’t taking any chances. These mud huts might as well have been paper thin because there was no privacy to have a personal conversation. “You’re not from this world, are you?” Onica whispered. Their lips formed into a small smile. Kianna shook her head in response. “I didn’t think so, but I had to be sure.” Onica grinned. “I guess I arrived in this world a little before you. I don’t know much, but I do know human-looking people like you and me are called Nurturers or Nurture Beastman.” They began. Onica then heavily sighed at this next part. “I could be wrong, but from what I’ve observed or have rarely seen, Nurturers are scarce. Apparently, we’re needed to lovingly raise children because Nature Beastman can’t do it for some reason.” They explained.
Kianna blinked in response. They didn’t show it on their face, but they were listening. Everything Onica was saying kind of explained why she was being coddled by these strangers.
“Nature Beastman are people with animal traits. They can shift into the animal of their biological clan. We are obviously in a Cat Tribe of the Cat Clan.” Onica shrugged. “I told Chief Kiki I’m from the Ape Clan because those are the only tribes where Nature Beastman don’t have an animal form. It’s also supposedly the most intelligent clan in this world, too. I thought the cover story would explain why I don’t know much about this universe.” They explained.
Kianna nodded in understanding. “In that case, I’ll be from the Ape Clan, too.”
Onica then sighed in relief and smiled. “Good, you got all that! I don’t know about you, but considering we’re the only two people not from this world, I’d like to stick close to you if that’s okay.” They pleaded with their eyes.
“I agree.” Kianna replied.
Onica clapped their hands together. “Oh, thank you so much!” They sighed.
Felix then waltzed through the door with several strips of cotton. “I’m back. I have what you requested.” He smiled.
Onica then took the cotton strips from Felix, which caused a faint blush to appear across his face. “Thank you so much. This will help Kianna’s per— I mean, uterus cycle.” They chirped.
Felix then directed his attention onto Kianna. “Congratulations!” He happily commented.
Kianna tried to force a smile to be polite, but the situation was awkward. “Uh, um, thank you.” At least Kianna knew these beastman were aware of monthly issues for females and female-bodied people.
After that, Felix excused himself to allow Kianna to remove her stockings and underwear. Onica then requested Felix take Kianna’s underwear and wash it the best he can in a bowl of water. Unfortunately, the tights were useless at this point. Once Felix was done with the task, he returned to find Kianna sitting on a cotton strip on top of the mat where he left her. “I left your loincloth to dry on a tree branch.”
“Uh, thank you.” Kianna awkwardly replied. Apparently, beastman have no use for underwear. Of course, Kianna should have put that together upon seeing Niko’s shameless flaunting earlier.
“Let’s have a look at your ankle, shall we?” Felix insisted, kneeling in front of Kianna. Taking the girl’s thin ankle into his hands, the feline noticed some slight swelling. “It looks like you did twist your left ankle after all.” He stated. Felix then retrieved some ginger from a basket. Breaking off a piece, he scrubbed the golden root between his hands to crush it before rubbing it against Kianna’s infected area. “Messaging the area will get some blood flowing to your ankle. Using the ginger will warm your blood. It also helps with foot massages.” Felix explained, talking more to Onica now than Kianna at this point. The orange tabby cat was trying to impress Onica with his knowledge.
Kianna grunted in response. Massaging her ankle with the plant hurt a bit at first, but it gradually eased the pain over time. “Thank you for your help.” Kianna said with a kind smile.
“You’re welcome.” Felix nodded. “Is there anything else I can help you with?” He asked.
Onica then pointed at the several wicker baskets and asked, “Can I have some of those, please?” Their pale blue eyes sparkled at the sight of all the spices lying around. Onica had no idea where to find all these plants out in the wild, but they could recognize basic cooking ingredients when they saw them.
Felix blinked in confusion. “All the herbs and plants in these baskets are medicine. Are you unwell?” He then placed the back of his large hand across Onica’s forehead to check their temperature. “I could give you a personal check-up to be sure.” Felix insisted with a flustered look on his face.
Onica shook their head and said “No, no. I would just like to have some so I don’t always have to visit you when you’re busy with other patients.” They explained.
Felix frowned at this. “You’re always welcome at my clinic... I would never be too busy for you.”
Kianna was internally cringing at Felix’s painfully obvious feelings for Onica. However, the person he wished to pursue is extremely clueless to his demeanor. The entire encounter was quite odd seeing Felix had only met Onica a while ago in the day. Then again, Niko was pretty direct about his intentions towards Kianna herself even though they had only met today as well. Perhaps cat beastman were desperate for mates. After all, Onica mentioned nurturers were potentially rare in society despite requiring them for survival.

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Wild Animals
“That explains a lot.” Niko smiled. “It’s no wonder Onica doesn’t know what a Nature Beastman is, or the differences between us versus themself as a Nurturer Beastman. They’re quite sheltered, Chief.” Niko added.
Kiki nodded in understanding. “The Nature Beastman of your specific ape tribe were quite neglectful in passing down such knowledge to you, dear child.”
Although Onica was beyond puzzled at the situation they found themself in, they knew they needed to think. If this were all real, then they had to focus on survival. Since Onica didn’t actually belong to any of the ape tribes of the clan, they knew no tribal leader would recognize them if they were reported. With this in mind, Onica had to say something before they were found out as a false member of the ape clan.
“Uh, you don’t need to report me to my chief.” Onica blurted.
“Why not? Is something wrong?” Niko questioned.
“Well, you said I’m almost mature, right? Why not let me live independently from my tribe?” Onica shrugged.
Kiki then grinned from ear to ear. His crows feet deepened as his eyes narrowed. “I’m pleased to hear you want to live amongst my tribe!” The chief happily chirped.
Onica’s shoulders dropped. That wasn’t what they had in mind. However, a blaring horn burst through the air in the distance. Niko and the chief’s stances then stiffened. Both their pointed ears also turned in the direction of the tooting horn.
“That’s the scouting alarm! Danger must be near! I am needed at the border.” Niko said in a rush. “Keep the Nurturer inside.” Kiki nodded as the young man dropped on all fours and shifted into a black cat.
The transformation appeared in a distorted blur. It was like magic in Onica’s eyes. They were amazed and a bit curious all at once. The second Onica thought to question what kind of protection a little kitty could provide, Niko’s average cat body suddenly grew to four feet and two inches tall with a width of four feet and seven inches. The second he was the size of an average adult lion, Niko jumped through the door and ran off. All Onica could do was stare with wide eyes and their jaw dropped to the floor.
As Niko darted through the village, he sniffed out the area for any unfamiliar scent. He eventually heard the sound of heavy footprints charging in the tribe’s direction, followed by a howl. Niko’s slit pupils narrowed and his ears twitched. Running towards the source of the noise, the large black cat caught sight of a potential female Nurturer in distress. She was up in a tree, fearing for her life as a pack of wild wolves surrounded the tree’s truck. The wolves were attempting to claw their way up, snapping their drooling jaws as they jumped to catch their prey.
Niko then arched his back, allowing his black fur to stand on end. His claws flared. Niko hissed and screeched at the wolves on his level. His teeth bared. With his ears pressed against his head, Niko lunged at one of the wolves. He sunk his teeth into the creature’s neck, violently shaking his head. Niko’s claws scratched up the wolf’s body. The wolf attempted to turn his head around and bite the cat, but it was hopeless. Rolling on its back, the wolf threw Niko off. However, he pounced on the same wolf and took the creature’s neck in between his jaws. Niko then bit down hard before cocking his head at an angle. A snap reached his ears and the wolf’s body went limp. Dropping the corpse from his mouth, Niko arched his back once more to intimate the remaining wolves.
One wolf then jumped at Niko, but he swiped at the wolf across its maw. The wolf howled in pain but refused to back down. Niko then charged at the wolf, screeching as he went. The wolf backed up while snapping his jaws at Niko, nipping his muzzle. Hissing in pain, the black cat latched onto the wolf’s neck with both paws and tore up its flesh. Another wolf then jumped onto Niko’s back. Despite the struggle, he stood firm. Niko darted forward, slamming the first wolf into the tree. He then clawed out the wolf’s eyes, causing it to snarl. The black cat then backed up and rolled onto the ground to shake off the second wolf. By this point, Niko ferociously swiped his back claws into the wolf’s spine, ripping open its flesh. With three out of five of the pack members either dead or severely injured, the remaining wolves fled with their tails between their legs.
Relaxing his body, Niko tilted his head back to see a petite nurturer with jaw-length brown hair. Wiggling his backend, the black cat then jumped into the tree. The girl’s amber eyes widened in surprise as she jolted back onto another branch. Despite the stench of fresh iron on Niko’s mouth and paws, he was incredibly calm. His black nose twitched to smell if the nurturer had been injured. Niko’s jaw hung agape with his sandpaper tongue sticking out, indicating he was processing the odor. This nurturer smelled of lavender... and blood. Ironically, the nurturer smelled good to the black cat. Scanning her figure, Niko’s yellow eyes trailed down in between her legs. There, crimson liquid pooled around and a trail rolled down one of the girl’s legs.
Morphing his body, Niko turned back into a man. The girl’s amber eyes squinted at the bright light. When it faded, her eyes widened at the sight, which replaced the cat in front of her. Niko’s thin, pale white body was completely exposed for the poor girl to see. A fierce red blush creeped on her cheeks as she respectfully turned her head to the side to avert her eyes.
“There’s no need to be afraid, little female.” The humanoid cat purred. “My name is Niko. I saved you. Now, you can be my mate!” Niko happily exclaimed. “What’s your name?” He smiled.
“Kianna Komori.” The girl simply replied. Kianna had no idea what was going on. She was grateful to have been saved, but she was terribly confused. Kianna had no clue as to where she was nor why a naked man, who was previously a cat, was trying to claim her as his property? Even narrating this scenario inside her mind didn’t help make things any clearer.
“I’ll take you to my tribe where you’ll be safe.” He purred, with his black tail flicking as he spoke. Niko then grabbed Kianna’s wrist and pulled her towards his bare body.
“Ah!” Kianna cried in protest.
Wrapping one arm around Kianna’s shoulders, Niko slid his other arm under her knees and jumped from the tree. Kianna gasped in response, subconsciously holding onto Niko’s neck to stabilize herself as he gracefully landed. The cat’s eyes sparkled with joy at her physical interaction towards him. Niko took it as a sign she was attracted to him. With Kianna in his arms, he then darted off into the direction of his cat tribe.
“Chief! Chief! I found another Nurturer!” Niko excitedly announced, rushing back through Kiki’s front door.
Onica blinked in surprise. At first, they were happy to see a girl dressed in clothing from their world. Then, Onica’s pale blue eyes trailed down Niko’s body to notice he was standing completely naked in front of them. The idea was a little odd to Onica, but they weren’t as sensitive to the concept as others from their original world. In their eyes, everyone has the same body, regardless of gender. However, the girl in Niko’s arms would beg to differ. Despite her blank facial expression, her cheeks were red from embarrassment at the man’s obvious lack of shame.
This girl was wearing a long-sleeved dress. The top half was beige, while the dark brown skirt fell past her knees. She dressed modestly, adorning a pair of beige colored stockings along with a pair of black leather mary jane shoes. Onica wondered if this girl was from Europe based on her cute but preppy attire.
“I saved this Nurturer girl from a pack of wild wolves. Now, she’s my mate!” Niko excitedly explained.
Kiki frowned at the young warrior, handing him his fur skirt he left behind earlier from shifting. “Is she? I doubt she’s of age.” The chief said, stepping closer to sniff the brunette haired girl. Moving closer, the middle-aged man caught the sweet aroma of Kianna’s hormones and it smelled good.
“She is of age!” Niko argued. “The blood from her uterus cycle attracted the wolves to her from the forest.” He pointed out.
Kiki then grinned at Kianna. “Congratulations, dear child!” He exclaimed. “You’ve reached your uterus cycle and have fully matured. You must be at least sixteen years of age.”
Niko is beaming with joy. “Yes! Once Kianna has stopped bleeding, we can reproduce and have kittens!” He cried.
Onica pursed their lips at this. In their world, female bodied people can have a period as early as nine years old. However, the average age for someone to gain their first period in Onica’s home world was between fourteen and fifteen years old. However, a female’s body would still be growing and giving birth would be quite difficult. Due to this, humans should not conceive children until they are at least age twenty-two. In the Beast World, according to these humanoid cats, females were physically mature and able to bear children at age sixteen.
“I didn’t agree to becoming your mate or to having your children!” Kianna cried out in protest.
Niko looked down at Kianna. His big yellow cat eyes filled with sadness. “But…” Niko whimpered with his droopy ears.
“Niko!” Kiki snapped. “You know the rules. If you save a Nurturer’s life, you are allowed to outright request they take you as a mate, but you can not force them to have you if they decline.” The man scolded.
Niko then gently set Kianna down and allowed her to stand on her own two feet. “Outch.” She muttered under her breath.
Kiki then approached Kianna out of concern and asked, “What's wrong, dear child?”
Kianna tried to straighten her stance, but her ankle hurt too much to stand on it. “It’s my ankle. I twisted it while running.” She admitted through a flat tone.
“Oh, no!” Kiki gasped. “We must get you to the tribe doctor immediately!”

Nurturing Beastman – Chapter 1
Tumblr media
The Beast World
White flashed across their vision. Onica gasped. Their pulse spiked. This was a bad time to suddenly go blind. Fortunately, their eyes didn’t go dark. Onica’s surroundings weren’t completely black. Instead, the white vanished from their pale blue eyes and their blurry sight returned. Rapidly blinking, Onica squinted through their sunglasses. It was bright outside as they suspected, but their environment changed. The petite person furrowed their thin eyebrows together in confusion. All the tan houses of their neighborhood had vanished. Onica was now surrounded by a thick forest of oak trees. Instead of a concrete sidewalk, the person was standing on lush grass. Chirping birds and various buzzing bugs filled the air rather than the quiet atmosphere of the desert Onica grew up in.
Due to the sudden change, Onica froze in place. Their mouth agape and eyes wide. They had no idea where they were. All Onica knew was they were taking a casual stroll around their neighborhood before they suddenly ended up stranded in the middle of nowhere. Despite being in a bit of a daze, they decided to breathe. Slowly inhaling and exhaling, Onica’s breaths were shaky. They needed to calm down. If they didn’t obtain enough oxygen throughout their respiratory system, they were going to become paralyzed and collapse into a blackout.
Onica told themself everything was going to be fine. If they wandered around, they’d find people eventually and receive help. With that in mind, Onica decided to start walking. The ground was incredibly uneven. This was odd, but they assumed the forest was part of a reserve if it was untouched by people. Perhaps Onica was near the border and they would find a ranger station building soon. Unfortunately, they couldn’t walk in a straight line from where they started. Onica had to walk over and around various boulders and branches to maneuver their way around.
Although this should have been the least of their worries, Onica remembered ticks thrived in forests. They shuddered at the thought of one of those blood sucking bugs hitching a ride on their body from the trees. Onica hated bugs, especially ticks. But they eventually made their way through the forest.
On the other side, Onica slipped into further perplexity. A village constructed of mud huts came into view. There were no paths in the ground. Only bright grass covered the area. In some patches, the grass was as tall as the circular homes. Some trees dotted the landscape to provide shade.
Unfortunately, the change of scenery wasn’t the strangest thing about this predicament. There were a peculiar amount of cats outside around the villagers. Felines of every shape, size, color and fur type were scattered about. Cats sat outside the huts, laid in the grass or crawled around between treetops and the hay roofs of the mud huts. Although there were some male and female-looking villagers who appeared normal, the majority of the people possessed feline traits. Cat ears stuck out of their heads. Slit pupil, glossy eyes mostly stared back at Onica. Thin or bushy tails also fell out from underneath these villagers’ loincloths and skirts.
All eyes were on Onica as they approached civilization. They nervously gulped, hoping these people spoke their language. It was natural these villagers would be weary of outsiders, specifically modern outsiders. However, Onica couldn’t help but notice some of male and female-looking people’s tails moved.
“Little female, are you lost?” A male suddenly asked. A young man with black cat traits approached Onica. He wore a skirt made of black fur, but nothing else. The male was quite thin in mass.
“Um, yeah.” Onica sighed in relief. They could understand these people.
The male with pale white skin nodded in response. “I see. I’ll take you to our tribe’s chief.” He then turned on his heel and led Onica through the village. “My name is Niko. I’m a village warrior.” He smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. “What’s your name?” Niko asked.
“My name is Onica... and I’m not a female, I just look like one.” They mumbled. Even though this wasn’t the time and place for this, Onica fell into an old habit of correcting people’s assumptions of their gender identity.
“Are you a male?” Niko questioned. Onica shook their head. “I see. You must be a Nurturer who doesn’t care for gender.” He concluded.
Onica scrunched up their face in confusion. The longer they were in this strange place, the more questions they had. Onica cocked their head to the side. “Nurturer?” They repeated. “What’s a Nurturer?” Onica asked.
Niko frowned at Onica. “A Nurturer is a Beastman who possesses the ability to lovingly raise young.” He explained.
“Is that what you are?” Onica questioned.
Niko’s yellow eyes stared at Onica with concern and his ears dropped. “No. I’m a Nature Beastman. You can tell because I have animalistic traits, which means I can shift into an animal.” He explained.
Onica didn’t know what to say. At this point, they believed they stumbled upon a cult. However, Onica didn’t know how to explain the realistic cat ears and tails moving on these people's bodies.
“You must come from a quaint tribe”. Niko commented. It was clear to the beastman that Onica is incredibly sheltered. This had to be the case considering their little body. Onica’s chief and elders must have done this to protect the nurturer of their tribe. As a result, they severely lack basic knowledge regarding the beast world.
Soon, Niko and Onica arrived at the chief’s hut. The wooden door to the lumpy mud structure was already open. Approaching the door, Niko tapped the back of his knuckles onto the smooth surface. “Chief! I found a Nurturer wandering the village unaccompanied. It appears they’re not from our tribe.” The cat-like human announced.
When Niko stepped inside the humble abode, Onica removed their prescription sunglasses. They then unzipped their shoulder bag and pulled out a black case to switch out the sunglasses with a pair of seeing glasses. Slipping the rectangular lenses over their face, Onica proceeded to put their other glasses away and zip up the bag.
A man appearing in his forties then came forth. He wore a loincloth and sandals on his tan body. “A Nurturer not of our tribe?” The chief eyed Onica’s appearance. “Dear child, what kind of skins are those?” His green cat eyes held curiosity and concern. “–And what is on your face?” The chief questioned, his age lines stretched across his face as he spoke.
Onica then looked down at their appearance. They were wearing a black jacket over a red t-shirt, jeggings and a pair of black tennis-shoes. “Uh... they’re rare skins?” Onica awkwardly admitted. Based on how revealing these people’s attire was, most of them must have never heard of cloth before. “–And these are my glasses... They help me see better.” Onica said, tapping the side of the metal frames with their index finger.
The chief’s eyes widened. “Your tribe must have spoiled you for being one of the few... if only, Nurturer born to your people”. He then allowed his eyes to inspect Onica’s condition thoroughly. “You don’t appear to have any mate marks on you yet.” The chief stated. “My name is Chief Kiki.”
“May I please be the Nurturer’s first mate when they come of age?” Niko suddenly blurted, pleading to the chief.
Onica immediately snapped their head towards Niko’s direction. Their wide eyes were nearly popping out of their sockets. “What?!” Onica exclaimed.
“If the Nurturer is attracted to males, you may pursue them.” Kiki replied through a sigh. “However, remember it’s entirely up to the Nurturer if they want you as one of their mates.”
Niko nodded. “I understand, Chief. I’ll do my best to win the Nurturer until they mature. But I’ll back down if my efforts are futile.”
Onica’s mouth hung open. They couldn’t believe what kind of discussion had taken place between this man and his chief. Luckily, Onica looked much younger than they appeared. With their incredibly scrawny body and four-foot-eleven height, it was easy to mistake them for a minor. “I’m not into men!” Onica cried.
Niko’s ears dropped in disappointment. “Oh... I see.” He frowned.
Onica mirrored Niko’s saddened expression. They felt bad, but they couldn't lie about their romantic orientation or sexuality.
“You already know what you’re attracted to, dear child?” Kiki smiled. “You must not be far from reaching maturity!” He beamed. “In that case, we’ll introduce you to our many beautiful female Nature Beastman while you’re here. I’m sure one will attract your eye and you’ll take her as a mate in the future.”
“Huh?!” Onica was at a loss for words. There was more to a partner than one’s appearance or aesthetic attraction. Have neither of these people heard of personalities? In addition, Onica couldn’t understand how pairing a female to a genderless, but female-bodied person was a good thing for matting. They assumed a world like this would thrive with couples who could reproduce.
Before Onica could question the situation further, Kiki spoke up and asked, “How on Earth did such a tiny thing like yourself end up on your own?”
“I got lost while exploring my environment.” Onica replied.
Niko frowned. “I’m surprised you were allowed to leave the safety of your tribe alone.”
“What clan are you from?” Kiki asked. “Whatever clan you are from, your tribe must be worried about you. We’ll let your chief know we’ve found you and safely return you to your people.”
Onica’s shoulders rose up as they clutched their forearms. “Uh... What clan do you think I’m from?” They awkwardly grinned.
Niko held his chin in thought. “You have big eyes and a tiny build... You could be from the Cat Clan, like us.” He suggested. “This is the Central Cat Tribe. That’s why many breeds of cats are mixed in the area. The surrounding tribes each contain a specific breed of cat. Maybe you are from a poor and tiny cat tribe around here.”
Kiki stroked his stubble beard and hummed in thought. “If your people showered you with such luxury, perhaps you are from the Ape Clan. Those Beastman are known for their intelligence, but they’re the only clan whose Nature Beastman don’t possess the ability to shift.” He stated.
Onica gasped at the chief’s words. This could explain their cluelessness if they jumped on the idea. “Yes! That’s why I’ve never seen a Beastman who shifts.” Onica quickly blurted. Upon saying this out loud, they realized all those felines outside were people who managed to turn into cats.

Vampire Knight: Akatsuki Kain —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Akatsuki Kain's Character & Personality
Akatsuki is a seventeen-year-old looking man who's Hanabusa and Ruka's cousin. He's a Night Class Student at Cross Academy and is one of Kaname's "right hands". Akatsuki has the unique ability to conjure and control fire. He's nicknamed "Wild" by several Day Class girls due to wearing his shirt unbuttoned. Ironically, Akatsuki's nickname contradicts his mellow personality. He's a calm person who rarely loses his cool. Thus, Akatsuki often needs to reign in an impulsive feud between his two cousins. He's incredibly perceptive and is frequently sensitive to others' feelings. Aido frequently gets Akatsuki into trouble despite not being directly responsible. He's also loyal and protective; the type who would never betray his friends. Although he refers to Kaname as their 'Gang Leader', Akatsuki only follows the Pureblood because Ruka does, but he someday hopes to believe in himself.

Kianna in Wonderland – Part 4
Tumblr media
Card Castle
Kianna stood up from the table. She politely thanked everyone for the tea party before leaving. The Cheshire Cat had quietly vanished from the scene. With the royal couple and Kianna being escorted by the card soldiers, they left the Door Mouse, March Hare and Mad Hatter back at the Hatter's cottage. As the group made their way through the woods, Kianna noticed another Alice's corpse rotting on the ground. This one wasn't decayed down to the bone like the previous body. Instead, this girl appeared fresh with maggots mutilating its crevices. The oder in the air was fowl, causing Kianna to clasp a hand over her nose and mouth. Luckily, she was at least ten feet away from the body and wouldn't be at risk for contracting diseases.
Eventually, the twisted trees of the woods came out of view. A large castle now stood in the distance. Card Castle was a traditional castle, but it was built of cards. The idea was honestly impossible, but the building was there nonetheless and it looked magnificent.
"Welcome to Card Castle". Kaname said.
Upon entering the foyer, Kianna was surprised to see the castle's interior somehow managed to appear as though it was constructed of sturdy walls. Golden chandeliers hung high to light up the space. Black, red and gold furniture were everywhere.
Suddenly, Seiren, Ruka and Zero dispersed. Kianna was now alone with the King and Queen. "We'll give you a tour, Alice". Yuki beamed. From the foyer, the Queen led Kianna into the next room. "Past the entrance hall is the grand dinning room. We have lunch and dinner here. Breakfast is served in our rooms". She happily explained.
The long, rectangular room contained a grand buffet table with many padded chairs lining its perimeter. Beyond that, the left wall was taken up by several  windows, which met the ceiling. The red velvet curtains were drawn to reveal the courtyard outside. There, white rose bushes and various stone fountains decorated the landscape.
"The courtyard can be accessed in another hall. We also have a red rose garden and a hedge maze at the back of the castle". Yuki smiled.
"Your castle is lovely". Kianna commented. She then looked around the environment and asked, "Where is the Cheshire Cat"?
"He probably left to take a nap somewhere. He lives in the castle with us as our cousin. Don't worry, you can visit him later". Kaname reassured.
None of the previous Alices had ever been curious as to the Cheshire Cat's whereabouts. Perhaps this Alice might even be a bit concerned about him. Either way, this level of emotion towards Senri told Kaname she must be the Alice they've been waiting for. With this in mind, it was time for a celebration.
"Tonight, in your honor, we'll be hosting a ball". Kaname announced.
"I'll dress you up, Alice"! Yuki exclaimed.
Kianna froze in place. She was stunned to say the least. Kianna had no idea why the King and Queen were going through this much effort to make her feel welcome, but it was making her flustered.
"I'll leave to allow you both to prepare for the party". Kaname said, kissing Yuki's hand. The king the parted ways and retreated to his own bed chambers.
Meanwhile, Yuki took Kianna to her own bed chambers. The room had been prepared years in advance for the arrival of Senri's future mate, but had never been in use until today. Unfortunately, Kianna didn't have time to take in her current surroundings. She had to dress up for the ball and Yuki was eager to help her prepare.
The dress Yuki laid out of Kianna was certainly extravagant, but not too luxurious. The right side contained a puff sleeve while the left shoulder was held up by straps. A black and white diamond pattern adorned the waist and flared out into a side ruffle layer. Finally, the skirt flared out at the waist, consisting of white and pale blue layers of subtle large flower pattern fabric. Yuki handed Kianna a pair of Marry Jane shoes with vertical black and white striped stockings.
While Kianna sat on the bed, pulling up her stockings, she turned to Yuki, who was holding a pair of Marry Jane shoes for her. "If I could ask, why does everybody call me Alice"? She asked.
Yuki smiled and said "That’s your name".
Kianna frowned at this. 'Alice' wasn't her birth name, nor was it a name she preferred to be addressed by. Regardless, she needed to focus on survival at this point.
Yuki then gawked at Kianna's facial expression. The queen could tell she wasn't happy. "Do you not like your name"?
Kianna's amber eyes widened. If she was going to potentially escape this place with her life, she needed to be on good terms with everyone around her as to not cause suspension or anger anyone to the point they decide to take her life. "Uh, no, I don't hate it". Kianna said, shaking her head. "I'm just surprised everyone knows it".
"Of course we all know it". Zero stated. The knight of spades stood at the entrance to Kianna's bedroom. "We've waited for your arrival for a long time". He mumbled.
"Zero". Yuki smiled.
"Kaname told me to fetch you. It's time for you to return to your bed chambers and get ready". Zero said in a flat tone.
"I see. I'm coming". Yuki said, trotting up to the siver-haired knight. The Queen immediately left Kianna and the knight alone. Before Zero left, he turned to the side and said "One more thing... The King says he's glad you passed the first test".
Kianna was confused. She didn't know what he meant by that. Regardless, the knight walked away before she could question him. Once Kianna was dressed, she left her room to attend the ball, but she had no idea where she was going. At this point, the short girl was nervous. Kianna had never been to a ball before and she didn't want to cause any trouble. Sadly, it was clear she had been transported to a wacky world where it's inhabitants were insane... and immortality corrupt. If the petite girl wasn't careful, she could end up dead. These people had no qualms of killing an innocent person for no reason.
Suddenly, a floatting grin appeared before Kianna. "Where are you going"? The mouth asked.
Kianna recognized the voice. It was the Cheshire Cat. "I'm trying to find my way to the ballroom". Kianna replied.
Senri's full body then appeared in front of Kianna. The cat was currently dressed in a white and pale blue suit with black pants. A black and white diamond tie was tucked under his vest. It was obvious his clothes matched Kianna's attire. "You could go this way". Senri said, pointing to his left. "You could go that way". He continued, pointing to his right. "Or perhaps, you'd prefer to travel up in that direction". Senri said, pointing in the direction of the staircase.
"I don't care how I get to the ballroom". Kianna blurted. "Can you please just tell me how to find my way"? She politely asked.
"Of course, none of them lead you down the right path..." Senri added.
Kianna blinked in response. "Oh". She sighed. Finding her way around the castle was going to be harder than she thought.
"–To me". Senri purred. His tail flicked mischievously. Senri then slid up to Kianna's side and slyly licked his arm with hers.
Surprised: @nunezs-stuff
