Was rewatching an old Erin x James edit I made, and I just remembered how perfect the use of Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby” was in the episode set in Donegal. Not only did the song slightly allude to the future of Erin and James’ relationship, but it also gave insight to the B-plot about Joe—that no matter how long his wife has passed he’s always gonna carry her love with him.

I’m badly gonna lose my Swiftie card. But Taylor emotionally cheating on Joe Alwyn at his lowest is so sad knowing how he loved and stood by her when she was at her lowest. She never owed him her waiting on him, but boy does it not make the situation less heartbreaking. It even makes you question the whole philosophy of love being selfless…

Sabrina Carpenter really returned to her roots with Barry Keoghan didn’t she?
When I meant return to her roots I meant her dating an average-height guy who is a simp for her and gets her humor.

I just asked my sister to give her opinion on SydCarmy. She doesn’t watch The Bear so their perspective is completely unbiased. I showed them the panic attack scene and she said it’s so clear there’s romantic subtext.

For those asking, this restaurant is Kasama:
Tumblr media
As others pointed out, the restaurant is owned by a married couple. You can check out more about it on this feature article from a Filipino newswire; it’s specifically about how the owners’ love story fueled the creation of the restaurant.
As I pointed out before, “Kasama” is a Tagalog word that means “with” or “together”. If Jeremy and Ayo really filmed a scene together in the restaurant then we might see Carmy making it up to Syd.
Sa wakas, magkasama nang nagpunta sa Kasama sina Carmy ay Syd. (Carmy and Syd finally went to Kasama together.)
i’m gonna go insane.

My hunch: At this point in the show, both Richie and Syd haven’t fully resolved their issues with Carmy from the soft opening yet, hence the closeness. They probably found a shared experience of being two people who love Carmy (and no, it doesn’t automatically mean romantic on Syd’s part—calm down SydCarmy nation) despite their frustrations with him. I also think they got him to come to the funeral.

I had a thought. What if Sydney is cold to Carmy for majority or Season 3 (rightfully so) and his way of apologizing is by finally caring about getting the star?
Think about it. You have this man who says he does not give a damn about bullshit stars—he probably did in the past, but he realized they were for nothing. Then comes his return to Chicago. We know Carmy’s arc is about finding the joy and amusement in life and in cooking again. I don’t need to explain this, it’s the overarching theme of the show. Point is, Carmy finally has stakes to care about the star because he let Sydney down.
I can’t think of a more perfect acts of service apology for Sydney than this because we know damn well that a verbal apology won’t cut it. We need the conversation between them to happen but it’s not gonna be enough. Carmy is gonna work for that star. Not just for himself. Not just for The Bear. He’s working for it to tell Sydney he cares about her and pays attention to her.

Was always under the impression that the Berzattos were well-off. Not rich, but definitely have, or (key word) HAD money.
For one, the childhood home; it was kinda nice and huge. Then you got all the children wearing gold and silver chains (real hardware is expensive). “But what about The Beef going broke?” you may ask… I think that is intentional actually. It may be a signifier that Mikey was not asking Donna for financial aid.

No one really talks about how much Natalie had to carry over the responsibility of being the eldest child since Mikey passed. Sure, Richie is there to be Nat and Carmy’s older brother, but Nat had to step up to a role she didn’t sign up for. It even came to the point where she had to give up her job and the boundaries she set for herself.
The burden of sisters forcing our brothers to talk to us. Me and Natalie Berzatto are like this 🤞🏾

I love her so much 🥰🥰
