The thing about the farm cave in stardew and the eternal bats vs mushrooms debate is like. Are mushrooms more profitable? Yes. Are they more stable and generally more practical? Also yes.

But do I enjoy going to pick mushrooms every other day? Not really. Whenever I choose the mushroom option, eventually I come to a point of never entering the cave again because it’s not worth it. I could encourage myself to go in there by decorating the cave in a way I like, except that the mushroom boxes are immovable and in the way.

Bats on the other hand. The bats leave a random assortment of fruit on a schedule that only they know. This is, practically speaking, almost useless. But do I enjoy walking into the cave a few times a season and finding out what they have left for me? Is it cute to see them flying overhead and their little eyes glowing in the darkness?

Can I make an altar to Mayor Lewis and know that creatures of the night will leave offerings at it?

The answer is yes.

How do we feel about using SquidgeWorld as in light of the recent Ao3 controversy?

IDK. I have some concerns about their ToS, so someone much smarter than me needs to tell me if I should be concerned.

I also don't plan on not using Ao3 anytime soon. They make $ from donations, and it was easy to stop my donations.

I'm really just looking for other opinions.
