This haiku by Masaoka Shiki speaks to me 🥺
“house-bound in winter
turning to my books before
even washing my face”

Today I plan on having a very good day. It’s beautiful sunny weather, and I have gift card to my favorite coffee shop, so I’m taking my three current books down to get some reading done, and my notebook to work on some personal writing.
It’s the kind of day where you just want to see where the wind takes you.
I did my testosterone shot this morning, so I’m feeling great!
I’m loving this cozy blogging- it’s nice to have a place to appreciate the little things about everyday life that I love.

Almost one year since I read One Last Stop, and I decided it's time to reread it. I first listened to the audiobook, so this time I have my index tabs ready to highlight my favorite parts!

taking the education of irish history and culture into my own hands. I'm still conflicted over my identity as someone with parents from two different countries and cultures while having been born and raised in a third country. time to stop wondering and get educated on the things, people and places that made me.
I took these pictures myself. Some of these books are old, some were just poorly handled over the years, and all were thrifted across the second-hand stores of Dublin. Find more bookish content under the 'nejj bookblr tag'.
