After I graduated college I felt so unmoored that I had what might've been a legitimate psychotic episode because I was convinced that the only thing I could do was go live/work in Colonial Williamsburg, despite the fact that my whole life and family was in New York State, have only a passing interest in American revolutionary history, and had just gotten a BFA in design. Things worked out okay because everything settles with time, but if you feel like everyone else has post-grad figured and you don't, let my weirdo story be some reassurance that you're not alone in your feelings.
