A bird sat on the branch
Next to me
And I listened to his song.
Fly away
Fly away
Fly away
Says he.
But my wings are clipped
And sorrow weighs me down
And I am stuck
Earthbound

Drowning
Sinking unseen
In the vast, cold ocean
Curled up in loss of hope and care
Dying

Oh my gosh I love this thank you for this!!

Tossing
And turning
Eyes shut throughout
Think of every scenario
Until you’ve had enough
As morning rises
You accept
Insomnia

Some of us are scattered stars without a solar system in the vast and unforgiving cosmos. We may not be part of a constellation or host a planet and its life we could sustain but we still shine as bright as any other star.

I hate the fog
How it blurs the horizon
Clear cut from the skies and the ground
The dreamland and the reality
It swirls through my head
Whisking together the rose colored clouds
With the Earthly clear mudwaters
They mix and combine
Muddle together in the fog
I can’t see what’s mud and what’s gold
I can’t tell if it’s wrong or right
I can’t tell if this is normal

Your words whip me, though I wouldn’t dare let you see me grimace – You don’t mean to hurt me and I don’t wish to give you more, and more, to regret. “I have nothing more to say.” Is all that I can tell you. A hellacious yarn spun wicked from my lips – one I hope, but damn well know, you don’t believe. There is always more to say. Sounding warmth to see you smile or spitting venom, to force away, I’ve never had naught else for you to hear.
I just wanted our words to end without a word more causing pain. But you know me too damn well and I hurt you just the same.

We Are What We Listen To
we are definitely
not what we eat
it's what we
listen to
that matters
if we listen to hate
it becomes us
if we answer
the call of
compassion
it enters
our soul
the choice
has always
been ours
if we truly
listen to
ourselves

And caffeine
Stress
Within peace
Somber
In silence

Glowing lamps
Sleep?
Probably not

Rustle soft

Bad habits
Awake
In the night
And the sunrise
Tucks you in

Help me. Help me the way that you     never         helped yourself, the way I     tried        but never managed      to help you. Could I be selfish, with you? stretch my fingers     outwards and hope        to find your grasp pulling me up,    and away from this abyss I find myself in. I drown in dark, here, without you – though let’s be honest, I did no better when you were near –      (your gentle hand upon      on my head,      surely,      didn’t help) here I am, still,     begging,         like a welp.
Help me. Please. This void I’m in is choking me, so
please. pull me, by my neck, from this ocean – so at least your hands will bring my end and not the sadness of you being gone.
