So I feel my initial assessment of the show was only slightly subverted - there’s much better queer representation than one would expect from what is typical of loli-bait anime.

I also cared a lot more about Chisato’s personal struggle once it was revealed and I sort of figured her and Takina wouldn’t really get their moment more because they want to keep going story wise than JUST to queerbait which is fine! Cishet ships do the same. But even so!

Majima was actually pretty cool as far as antagonist go and his beef w Chisato was great. Their vibes are immaculate and they’re actually fun to watch beat the crap out of each other.

Mr Yoshi and Teach pretty much anchored the whole show and I would interested in seeing what poor Teach has to go thru now that his toxic ex is dead and Chisato can move on

Idk. I do think the story is very charming and I’m pleasantly surprised by it, but I was also not wrong about my initial point so! I guess it’s just one of those anime-only situation where I’m glad to stay tuned so long as it plays on the block
