A memory still strong with me to this day as perfect example of this.

Still newly diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but determined to keep working, my workplace and colleagues did do their best to accommodate to my needs to keep me around.

A friendly coworker one day raised his fist to his usual friendly bump on the shoulder as he does for all coworkers, but without any of us saying anything he froze - remembering my condition. Not wanting to make things awkward he resumed the motion but put great care into controlling his fist so it barely brushed me, just gently touching the sleeve of my tshirt as we passed by each other, his moving in slowmotion just to be safe.

It was heartwarming to witness the effort put into showing care for my illness while also still keeping me included, still giving me a friendly gesture as for all coworkers.

I didn't had the heart to tell, or even show, how that day even that gentle brushing of knuckles barely touching me at all, was still felt and my skin starting to sting as if I had been stabbed with burning needles right there.

But truly stuck with me how even the most gentle of touches can unexpectedly become a stinging pain for absolutely no reason.

You can never foresee which touches will cause pain and which will be safe. You are truly under the mercy of a broken nervous system.

Monday night we had a meeting w the landlord. We officially must make $450 payments on the 7th of each month or it’s an immediate eviction.

Tuesday night my moms car got repossessed , the stress from all of this caused me to get physically sick to the point that I had to visit the ER (got severely dehydrated am still getting over it.)
