Not sure if you still needed an answer to this, but as a LONG time listener, and ex-Patreon backer, I have many things to say
The quality has DIPPED (their success has changed them and it shows) listen to the old stuff, go in chronological order to get to the really enjoyable stuff
If you want a podcast that brings up Buffy/their Buffy-review podcast incessantly, then this is the show for you
If you want a podcast where they take every opportunity to link it back to Vanderpump Rules (with LENGTHY tangents about it), then this is the show for you
They don't know how to do a trigger warning. They basically say 'trigger warning for *insert distressing/graphic topic here* so skip ahead if that's triggering for you', then DON'T EVER tell you where to skip ahead to
They overgeneralize like their lives depend on it
So much filler information on cases (they bloat that shit out)
They are set in their beliefs/views (it can sometimes be hard to see the two of them through those THICK bias' they hold) and if you disagree with them you're wrong and they will probably make fun of your appearance
Lots of examples online about their research being lacking
One of the hosts thought this was an okay thing to joke about (or attempt to joke about)
Pro: these two people very clearly adore each other, and that can be a nice addition to the listening experience
Pro: they can be quite funny and have witty quips and it's cute listening to them making each other laugh
I had been listening since 2019 and I would recommend it to people, I thought they were amazing
I stopped listening about a week ago when they had an ad for a juice cleanse (a lot of people have a lot of thoughts on the ethics of ads in true crime content, but that isn't what I'm here to discuss). As in: stop eating food, just drink this juice, it's great you guys. As someone with body dysmorphia and issues around eating, this was very triggering for me to hear. I got a lump in my throat and my blood boiled.
To me this is the marker of just how much they have changed. Back in the day Ash was constantly bringing up a cap'n crunch smoothie (or something in that vein) that she loved. She would so enthusiastically talk about it, how often she got it, etc, and now that same woman is encouraging me to starve myself? She is not the same, they are not the same. I understand that change is a part of life for everyone, but this isn't good change, this is decline
I am phasing them out of my regular routine of listening to them
The subreddit r/morbidforbadpeople is filled with much more information/examples of their fuckery
I was such a fangirl that my name is literally on one of the episodes (a shout out to thank Patreons), and now I discover that episode has come under a lot of scrutiny for being poorly-researched and having a pre-determined notion that they cherry-picked evidence to back up, without realistically entertaining other possibilities. Yikes. I literally co-signed that shit. Yiiiiikes
People of Tumblr do you recommend the Morbid podcast? I see it has a lot of episodes, what do you thin of it??

BRITNEY SPEARS "When I was a little girl lying on the warm rocks in my neighbours' garden, I had big dreams. I felt calm and in control. I knew I could make my dreams come true. For so long, I didn't always have the power to make the world look the way I wanted it, but in many ways I do now. I can't change the past, but I don't have to feel lonely or scared anymore. I've been through so much since I wandered the Louisiana woods as a child. I've made music, travelled all over the world, become a mother, found love and lost it and found it again. It's been a while since I felt truly present in my own life, in my own power, in my womanhood. But I'm here now." (The final paragraph from Britney's memoir, The Woman In Me)

I know that people are mad over Loreen winning, but can we please also acknowledge that it’s amazing? Loreen is not only a woman, but she’s also lgbtq+ AND of Moroccan descent. So the second ever person and first ever woman to win ESC twice is a queer woman of color. Can’t we please celebrate that instead of being mad at a jury? And I knowwwww ESC iSn’T sUpPoSeD tO Be PoLiTiCaL but honestly it almost always is.

Did we talk about how all four LGBT acts this year made it to the Final?? I don't think we did.
Loreen and Alessandra are both bisexuals while Gustaph and Luke are gay.
I love how each of them offers a completely different spectrum of queer representation too 😄
(I know I'm using this photoshoot for way too many different posts but they're really good this year!)
