More progress on Gargoyleosaurus parkpinorum part 1. They likely mesmerized potential predators by forcing them to draw way too many small lines, the fiends!

Gargoyleosaurus parkpinorum, work in progress for the line art ink version. I am doing a few versions of this piece because I am working on a graphic for commission pricing and I apparently like to torture myself.

Throwing my hat into the ring with a quick black and white Tyrannosaurus mcraensis rendition.
If you didn't know, a new paper has been released identifying what might be the first and only true second species of Tyrannosaurus, up until this point there has only been one species know, that being T. rex.
Found in New Mexico, T. mcraensis lived about 7 million years before T. rex and side-by-side comparison with known examples of Tyrannosaurus rex show that mcraensis appeared to have a slightly longer skull that was just as robust as it's younger cousin. Apart from this, several other markers on the remains suggest that it is just different enough to T. rex to be a new species but that it is still close enough to be in the same Genus.

Quick sketch based on the new paper on a juvenile Gorgosaurus specimen with the remains of 2 Citipes babies in it's stomach. It's a beautiful specimen of one of my favorite dinosaurs and an important look into the diets of young Tyrannosaurids.
