A simple reminder to forgive someone today.
The first reaction when people offended you is to hold onto the grudge and think that you deserve to remain angry. This is because:
1. Pride. We always think that that person does not need forgiveness for what he did to you. Having a mindset of “what he did, does not equate to forgiveness”. 2. Fear of being offended again. Some people are just afraid that if they forgive someone, they will do it again.
But let us look at what the Bible says:
1. For our pride, remember that God does not keep a record of our sins as He always forgive us even though we, too, don’t deserve it.
Psalms 130:3-4 (NIV), “ If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
And this is because of His unfailing love.
Psalms 130:7 (NIV), “O, Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows.
So, if God forgives the undeserving (you), then we should too.
2. For fear of being offended again, remember that forgiveness results in repentance and creates holy fear.
Psalms 130:4 (NLT), “ But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.”
Notice that if we ask forgiveness from Him, we repent and we develop the thing called holy fear—fear of offending God and grieving the Holy Spirit. So, forgive and let the Lord convict your offender. For sinning against people is sinning against God as He commanded us to love our neighbors. (Fear of the Lord or holy fear delivers us from offense and from offending someone).
But, if your offender is not convicted, then read the number one again.

Priority means something that needs to be done or dealt first.
You can go to Jesus first before going to the world later. He may be your priority, but it may also be for a small amount of time.
An example is when we use our free time. We tend to start by first spending time with the Lord for a minute before spending time with the world for hours. (Watching TV Shows, surfing the internet, playing games, etc.)
Minute for the Lord, hours for the world.
But remember that it is alright to watch shows, surf the internet, play games, etc., but it is wrong to spend more time on it than to the Lord during your free time.
Think about this. To whom do you want to give most of your time? To someone that you love or to someone that you do not love? Obviously, it is to someone that you love.
So, who do you love the most? God or the world?
Matthew 22:37, "Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.""
Use your free time wisely, not fleshly.

To whom do you want to give your heart again?
It is saddening that some of us are treating God as a rebound. When they are hurt, they go to Him. When they are fine, they go back to the world.
You know, before we give our heart to someone, let us first give it to God so we can find out what true love really is. For in this generation, it is already true love when you feel something different, but in reality, it is just an infatuation. So, it just ended up in a failed relationship.
Sure, you and your Ex may have loved each other but, it is not a kind of love that lasts until the end. 1 Corinthians 13:7 said that love never ends. So, what you both felt was a love from the world and not from God. But how can you know that your partner is already your true love if you don't know the real meaning of true love in the first place?
Therefore, here are some of the meanings of true love in the Bible.
It can sacrifice. There are tons of love stories that failed because one of them can't sacrifice a little time for their relationship, but Jesus did not only sacrifice His time but His whole life.
It never gives up. There are tons of love stories that failed because one of them gave up or the relationship can't go any further, but Jesus did not give up upon us. He endured the whipping in His back, the 10 km walking while carrying a heavy cross, the wearing of a sharp crown of thorns and, the nailing of His both palms and feet. He can give up anytime but, He didn't, just to save us all.
It never ends. There are tons of love stories that failed because one of them became tired or fell out of love, and again, true love never ends. But you know what? God's love is eternal because He is love Himself. A person who does not know God, does not know love.
So, if you seek true love then, focus on the God of love Himself first. Because He will show you the difference between the love from the world and the love from Him, and that is our basis on what true love really is.
Let us love like Jesus by seeking God first.
John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this; that someone lay down his life for his friends."
In the upcoming February 14, to whom do you want to give your heart?
Share this with your family and friends; you might change their lives.

We do not own the spotlight.
When we are praying, it should be more of God and less of us.
But you can still pray about yourself. Just make sure it is not selfish, gives glory to God, and is aligned to His plans in your life.
How selfish prayer? Ask your Holy Spirit because only He can see the motives and the desires of your heart. But mostly, these are the prayers that feed our pride. Some thought they were only confident but, it was already a hint of pride. So always do a heart check.
Proverbs 16:18, "Pride leads to destruction; a proud attitude brings ruin."
How to glorify God? Pray like Jesus. He prayed at least thirty-eight prayers so, open your Bible and find out how. His prayers are less of Him, more of God the Father, less about Himself, and more about serving others.
1 Corinthian 11:1, "Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."
How to align my plans to the Lord's? Be obedient to God. All your decisions in life should come from God and not from yourself. If He said, here you should go then, go there and not the other way.
1 John 5:14, "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."

The Bible did not prohibit us from using Social Media but, it warns us about addiction.
1 Corinthians 6:12, “You say, ‘I am allowed to do anything’—but not everything is good for you. And even though ‘I am allowed to do anything,’ I must not become a slave to anything.”
You are a slave if you spend more than 3 hours on Social media.
Researchers suggest that we must only use social media for 30 minutes a day or less because it leads to better mental and physical health.
Have you not noticed that if you spend hours on Social Media, you become tired even if you are only lying on your bed? Because it is draining your mental energy causing you to be lethargic. (Already proven by Science).
Proverbs 21:25, “The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.”
And some of the posts that we see or watch are just causing stress.
This will result in being unproductive. You are now unable to do what you are supposed to do and, there is a possibility that spending time with Him or using your spiritual gifts in building the Kingdom of God is included here.
But what if my feed is full of Christian content?
Let us all be honest; we do not remember all Christian content that we watch and see. Sure, we can get wisdom from them but not the full wisdom which only God can offer. They can help us with our spiritual life but, we will not experience the full presence of God.
Christian contents only point our attention to Jesus but if you want to experience fellowship with Him, then seek and spend time with Him.
Less of Social Media. More of God.
You can use Social Media but, don't spend too much time on it.
(To be clear, we are only talking about Social Media and not the whole internet because you can find books and other materials that will help you deepen your relationship with God on the internet itself. Using those things is way better than scrolling endlessly on your social media feed.)

Are you really doubting God's capability right now?
It is normal for us to tackle problems every day but, if you are close to giving up and losing trust in God, just look up to the sky. Outside our Earth, there are countless planets and stars scattered across space. This scenery is a gentle reminder that our God is absolutely powerful.
If it is easy for Him to create galaxies, then it is also easy for Him to guide you through your problems.
So, always remember that the God who created the galaxies is the One who will help you in whatever you are going through right now.
Just keep holding on to His hands and endure a little longer from your battles here on Earth. Do not lose hope. He is coming soon to take us home.
But, while we are still here on Earth, let us all praise and glorify Him even during our hard times. Let our every second count and point it to Him.
Exodus 15:2, "The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him!"

We always say, "Faith without works is dead," while misinterpreting it.
The works mentioned here are not about how often you now go to church and attend a Bible study, how long you now read your Bible, or how much Bible verse you have memorized. But, it is about the work of the Holy Spirit in changing your character and lifestyle.
Because if we are to work here, we will only add religious activities to our life while still retaining the worldly one.
For, most of us are saying they are born again, have faith, attend church every Sunday, or read their Bible. Yet, you can see them every afternoon gossiping about their neighbor, drinking too much, cussing and cursing, wearing revealing clothes, rebelling against their parents, enjoying sexual sin, etc.
Their lifestyle only did increase but did not decrease.
Hence, the work mentioned here is not our work but the Holy Spirit. However, it is up to us if we will allow Him to work in our lives or not.
The Holy Spirit is the one who made us born again; that is why,
Faith without Holy Spirit is dead.
So, let us all have faith while allowing Holy Spirit to work in our lives.

Are you happy to make Jesus feel that His sacrifice is worthless because the things you are enjoying right now are the reason why He died on the cross?
Let us say you have a friend asking you for some advice regarding her relationship break-up. You exert effort in comforting and telling her that, "You deserve someone better," but the next day, they are back again together. Does not this makes you feel that your effort was wasted? That all the words you said to her yesterday were useless?
It is the same with Jesus. Let us not make Him feel that His sacrifice and pain were wasted and useless. He is the One who was whipped in the back, wore a crown that was as sharp as a knife, walked 10 kilometers while He was carrying a cross with a weight of 75 kilograms, and endured the nails that caused holes in His both hands and feet. Jesus made so much effort to make sure that we would not experience all these things.
There are many kinds of sin and, only you, know what kind of sin you are enjoying right now. It is normal to accidentally sin every day that is why it is said that Christian life is an everyday battle.
Remember, it is an everyday battle and not everyday enjoyment.
Some sin requires long battles so, do not frustrate yourself when you can not overcome it overnight. The important thing is, you are fighting and not enjoying.
Perfection is not what you need to achieve, obedience is.
1 Peter 2:24, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

When we are part of the fandoms of K-pop idols, anime, American artists, or other celebrities, we are proud and love telling it to others; but when it comes to Jesus's fandom, we are ashamed to share it.
Let me tell you a short story about Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus is a chief tax collector. He wants to see Jesus but, people are hindering his sight and, he is not that tall. So he went to a tree and climbed it to get a nice view and finally see Jesus.
A grown-up man climbing a tree in public is undignified and embarrassing. It is shameful to climb a tree when there are people around but, Zacchaeus didn't mind it because he is not ashamed to show everyone that he is a fan of Jesus and is willing to throw his dignity for Him.
Then it paid off. His Idol noticed him. Among all the people surrounding Jesus, Zacchaeus is the one He called.
So I hope that we can be like Zacchaeus. Let us swallow our pride and shame and tell the world that we are proud to be a fan of Jesus. Don't hide it; share it!
Luke 19:4, "So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree beside the road, for Jesus was going to pass that way."

You are beautiful. You are handsome. But you don't realize it because you are too focused on your negative side. Every person has flaws in their body, even the people you considered as beautiful or handsome.
This saying is cliché but we always tend to forget that we are made in God's own image for we always compare ourselves to others.
But here's the thing, we are all part of God's unique creations. Take this as an example. You can compare a lion to a tiger, a parrot to an eagle, and a wolf to a domestic dog. Same species but, they have their own uniqueness and beauty.
A lion has majestic hair while a tiger has a nice fur pattern. A parrot has fancy colorful feathers while the eagle has elegant brown and white feathers. The wolf looks dignified and majestic while some domestic dogs are just cute.
This is the same as you and other people. You can compare yourself to them, but there is no point because you have your own uniqueness and beauty.
If you keep focusing on other people's attributes, you won't see yours.
And yes, if you insult yourself, you insult God's love and wisdom for creating you that way.
And, don't also forget to be beautiful on the inside! Be confident to be one of God's children!
Genesis 1:31, "And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good."

Well, did you know that you also don't deserve God's forgiveness? You don't deserve His grace and mercy. Yet you always ask for it.
You sin against God. You hurt Him. You ask forgiveness. He forgives. And, you sin again.
Now, do you think you are still worthy? In a human sense, no. But God said yes.
The point here is, it is not about your standards on who you think deserves respect; it is about God's standards that we need to follow. It is not about you; it is about Him.
Peter 2:17, “Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king."
But how about those people who are hard to respect?
To overcome this, you must understand that everyone has imperfections and are in sinful nature. Some people may be hard to respect but remember that Jesus died for everyone. He gave salvation even to those who tortured Him and, you can see that they don't deserve it yet; Jesus still gave it.
The best example is Paul, who tortured the early Christians and let Stephen die but, Jesus still chose him to carry and spread His word. (Acts 7:54-60, Acts 9:1-19).
Again, it is not about your standards; it is about God's standards.
Respect everyone, even if they don't deserve it; like how Jesus gave His life to everyone, even if we don't deserve it.

Have you already read your Bible or, are you just relying on TikTok videos? Facebook posts? Instagram? Tumblr?
Getting wisdom on these platforms is not wrong but, you should not entirely depend on them. Read your Bible. Talk to your Holy Spirit.
Christian posts from social media are helpful but let's be honest, you already have forgotten most of the Christian content you read or watched. But try to get wisdom from your own Holy Spirit and, it will last in your memory for a long time.
If your faith is based only on social media, you will not gain spiritual maturity.
The outside source is fine but you must not forget to check your most reliable source, which is your Bible, with Holy Spirit as your mentor.
Be a Christian not just in social media but also in real life.
John 14:26, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

Many say they are saved by faith but still disobeying the law because of the saying, "Saved by faith, not by works," but are they truly saved?
Romans 3:28, "So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law."
This verse came from Paul, and what he wants to say here is not about disobeying God's commandments because there is faith, he wants to say that we should focus more on our faith than the commandments of the Lord.
Because if you focus on obeying God's law, it will turn into legalism—the belief of being saved through works, not by faith in Jesus.
But, if you focus on your faith and your relationship with God, you will immediately obey His commandments, for only those with strong faith will legitimately obey the commandments.
Romans 3:31, "...In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law."
Because people who focus on the law only want to go to Heaven, while people who focus on their faith want to please and obey God.
Serving Him must be our priority, not going to Heaven. And you can not obey God with the wrong intention.
In summary, if you are disobeying God, you do not have faith at all. And obeying God with the wrong intention does not also count as faith because true faith accomplishes the law with the right intention.
Remember that you are not being told to be perfect, but rather you are being told to show that you're a Christian even in your sinful nature.
Focus on Him, not on His commandments.

Manifestation is getting in trend again so, if you are using this, please read.
Tumblr media
Manifestation or Law of Attraction is getting something by thinking that you could get it. Think and it's yours. Tempting to use, isn't it? But before you use it, ask yourself first, "Why am I going to use this? Is God isn't enough?"
Manifestation is from the religion of Pantheist and, they believe that everything is god. Not a God who can create mountains but a god who can get things using the power of their mind, and they called this power Manifestation. In simpler words, they believe that they are all gods with a power called Manifestation.
Hence, if you use Manifestation, you think you're a god, intentionally or unintentionally, and this is blasphemy.
Bible said that God is the only one with power (Matthew 19:26). So, aside from blasphemy, Manifestation is not real and effective therefore, there is no reason to use this.
God is already powerful so, why do you need something else to get what you want?
Pray not manifest.
Proverbs 19:21, "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
Share this with your family and friends and warn them about the usage of Manifestation or Law of Attraction.

The Lord's Prayer is not meant for recitation but as a guide for your personal prayer. So, if you recited this for prayer, you are not praying at all because prayer must come from the heart and not from the mind.
But take note that memorizing and praying The Lord's Prayer is not bad only if you really mean those words. However, our generation is different.
Before you read the The Lord's Prayer in the Bible, Jesus first said in Matt 6:9, "This, then, is how you should pray." He said how (This is HOW you should pray), and not what (This is WHAT you should pray). Which only means that He is going to show how to pray and not what to pray.
Hence, The Lord's Prayer is not meant to be prayed but to serve as a guide on how we pray to God.
It goes like this:
1. Address on whom are you praying. "Our Father in Heaven, Holy be your name."
2. Pray for God's will in your life and not your plans. "Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,"
3. Ask for things you need. "Give us today our daily bread,"
4. Confess and forgive. "Forgive us our sins as we also forgive those who sinned against us."
5. End with asking for guidance and protection. "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
So, stop praying the The Lord's Prayer and start praying in your personal way
Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Share this with your family and friends, you might change a life.

They say a person glows differently when he is happy. When in love, achieved something, received salary or money, etc. However, a person glows, even more, when he is joyful.
Happiness and joy resemble each other but, both have different meanings. Happiness comes from the world, while joy comes from God. The world is temporary, while God is eternal.
When you broke up with your partner or had a fight with your husband/wife, the happiness will fade. And you feel happy when you achieved something but as the day goes by, the feeling becomes normal. Money also gives happiness but only when you still have it.
Happiness mostly comes from material things but joy comes from the relationship with the Lord.
Being joyful even when people leaves you because you know God is always with you. Being joyful even when you don't achieve something because you know God has a better plan. Being joyful even when you don't have enough money because you know that God will provide.
Joy comes from loving and knowing God's character and recognizing His plan for your life amid trials.
Even if you lose all the things that makes you happy, you will not give in to sadness because you have joy in the Lord.
Exodus 34:29, "Then Moses came down from Mount Sinai. In his hands, he was carrying the two stone tablets of the agreement. But Moses did not know that his face was shining because he had talked with the Lord."

🎉🎉🎉 GIVEAWAY ALERT! 🎉🎉🎉
Tumblr media
People will immediately click a post if they see the word giveaway even if they are not a fan or they don't know who the giver is. This is fine but I hope we are not like this towards the Lord.
Some people worship Him because they only want to get comfort, protection, money, success, etc., and not because they want to surrender and know Him more.
Asking things from God is fine and He actually loves it when people ask or pray something from Him, but if your intention is just like this, you will not get the best thing He can give, which is eternal life.
Only Christians with pure intention can have that best gift. Christians who worship Him because of who He is and not because of what He can give.
So you, what is your intention of worshipping God? Is it because you want to know Him or is it just because of the giveaways?
Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Share this with your family and friends, you might change a life.
