He immediately realizes that you’re in danger and lets you in while he goes after the man. When Tom comes back, you can see that he’s sporting a few fresh bruises but assures you the stranger will never bother you or anyone else for that matter ever again. After that, he asks you if there’s anyone you’d like to call to come pick you up and, while you do, he gives you a clean towel to dry yourself and makes you a cup of tea. You thank him and exchange numbers and, from then on, Tom and you become great friends. He feels this inexplicable need to protect you which ends up making him develop feelings over you in time.
