Hello guys! This week I want to share a new expression list with you all.
Let's read what RAE says about them:
- "Oveja negra"
- "Rata"
7. m. y f. coloq. Persona tacaña.
Notes:
1. "Buscarle la quinta pata al gato" is used in South America. You'll hear "buscarle tres, o cinco, pies al gato" in other places. Also, there is another meaning that I didn't add (see the second entry above): this is used, for example, when you think for no reason at all that your boyfriend/girlfriend has cheated on you and you start telling him/her nonsense; then he or she might say "Pero que no he hablado con esa persona, ¡deja de buscarle la quinta pata al gato!".
2. "Ser un ratón, una ratona" is getting more used among young Argentines. People from other countries normally says "ser un rata, una rata".

Hello guys! Today's expression is 'darse un tiempo'. For many of us who have spent some time apart from our boyfriend/girlfriend, this phrase will be useful. Also, if you're taking time out from your job, studies, etc. to do something else, you could talk about what you're doing by using this phrase.

Hello guys! Today's expression is 'estar en pedo'. There are other ways to say somebody is drunk around the Spanish-speaking world: "estar pedo", "estar borracho", "estar pasado de rosca", etc. "Estar en pedo" meaning 'to be crazy' is an expression used mainly in Argentina. Maybe you'll hear it in some parts in Uruguay too.

Hello guys! I've been making images about words and expressions. Currently I'm keeping three sections up on my social media: "word of the day", "expression of the day" and "lists of expressions". Also, two other ones are coming: "lists of idioms" and "literary paragraphs" (where I'll share one paragraph of a book and then I'll explain and make some examples of some words) This is the first of the third category and I hope you like it! Happy learning!
