I'm intrigued by the hinting of a new dynamic, maybe Sam and Celia drift closer together, Celia encouraging his exploration of the Magnus Institute and his past and so him being distanced from Alice, who both doesn't approve and is slightly jealous and bad at hiding it. Cue the "why are you so pressed?" "Cause I'm still in love with you" conversation.

And then Gwen clings to Alice in a way where it seems like she's desperately trying not to but against all odds Alice seems like the only person who would understand, having worked there for as long as she had and lets be honest, who else could she talk to. Cue irritations to lovers and kissing with tongue.

Ngl I’m not a fan of the “Jon was doomed from his birth” take on him, because Elias even states that he was just some guy who happened to be in the right place at the right time. I think it’s way more tragic to say that Jon was unfortunately marked by the web as many people are marked by fears in this world, and was just chosen because of that unfortunate happenstance.

It wasn’t written in the stars or anything.

He was just some normal guy who had a tragic experience when he was a child and now was just picked because of that. It’s not fate or destiny. He wasn’t picked before he was born.

It just happened that way. He was just.
