I think I like Milva.

Did not expect Philippa to get emotional in front of the other mages.

I love how this season is so full of powerful women.

Wait, Tissaia, why? I honestly do not understand.

I knew Dijkstra wouldn't betray Philippa. They have this "the two of us against the rest of the world"-dynamic, which is probably why I like watching them so much, despite them being terrible people in general.

So Vilgefortz is still scheming, having Teryn posing as Ciri. Bold move against Emhyr, I'll give him that. Already can't wait to see how Emhyr will react when he inevitably finds out.

One of the Rats is the woman from the wyvern incident, isn't she?

I love how Jaskier calls Ciri Geralt's daughter and them his family. He's got his priorities straight, too.

"Red sand" Ciri says, when it is orange at most.

You know what, let her call it any colour she wants. And bring her a parasol, water and a camel. Right now.

Or a unicorn, that's okay, too.

The mysterious hooded figure appearing to the protagonist in some sort of fever dream is such a cliché, but at least it gets us a break from watching Ciri suffer in the desert.

Look, I'm not judging fire magic, but if the other elements really are safer alternatives, why not use earth or air? If they wanted the audience to believe that fire is the only option in this scene, they should've filmed it without Ciri's shawl blowing in the wind.

Witcher Watch 3x06

That ... was a very sudden ending for Lydia.

The battle of the mages against the elves has some bloody cool shots. Pun intended.

And an equally sudden death for Rience. I suppose the writing idea behind this episode was quick character decimation?

Noo, not Artaud! (But yay, Philippa in owl form!)

Redemption arc for Cahir in the works, huh.

Also, Stregobor doing something that isn't shitty for once.

Almost everyone is in action this episode and I'm here for it. Like, proper action with combat and chaos. Don't get me wrong, I like good intrigues and subtle, clever strategics, but after all the politics of the last few episodes, this was a nice change of pace.

"And no matter how ludicrously anyone is dressed, don't stare", Yennefer says in her glitter bikini.

But - and I should have guessed that - it's Philippa who takes the cake with her sequin jumpsuit and feather headdress.

Still don't like that troupe of bards, but their song is catchy and works really well with the narrative.

Stregobor's only security measure is that one little moth?! What if someone breaks into his chambers while he's not only a couple of rooms away but somewhere across the continent? Wouldn't the moth still have to fly to him to alarm him? For who knows how many miles, through all kinds of weather and, well, not exactly speedy? What if someone along the way swats the moth like the fragile insect it is? This is so stupid.

I keep forgetting about Lydia and I don't know why. She's way more memorable than some of the other mages.

I did not expect Cahir to question Emhyr. Or Emhyr to be so chill about it.

Then again, Emhyr has yet to do something. Himself, I mean. He does have Cahir to get things done for him.

That other bard and his troupe are absolutely obnoxious.

"A life should only be taken as a last resort", says Geralt, whose job description is basically "monster killer" and who slew a whole bunch of people looking for Ciri in 3x01 without batting an eye, even though knocking them out would've probably been enough.

I simply love witcher Ciri.

Triss, tell Yen about the missing elven novices!

So Fringilla recovered quickly. Good for her.

Jaskier and Ciri improvising Geralt and Yen's reconciliation in the woods is one of my favourite moments so far.

I didn't expect Jaskier and Radovid to get together so soon, but I'm not complaining.

All these important characters pairing up to go to the ball with their own game plans is really nice build-up for next episode.

But WHY is Yen wearing what I can only describe as a glittering bikini top?!
