How I see Remus Lupin
(random headcanons and a moodboard)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- At first glance comes across as reserved, polite, and capable.
- Prioritises school work and gets along with the teachers.
- The average parent would love it if their kid bought him home.
- Feels insecure and unworthy of his successes, largely stemming from an inability to accept his lycanthropy.
- On that note, has recurring bouts of low-grade depression (the other marauders don't understand, but they try to be there for him).
- The worst one was of course after losing his friends in 1981, when he was truly alone. I like to think McGonagall checked up on him throughout this time though, as he'd secretly been one of her favourite students.
- Dresses for comfort, and has a wardrobe of mostly casual brown, beige and off-white so that he can throw on whatever without thinking about it too much.
- Chronic insomnia, will stay up far too late studying or reading in the Gryffindor common room (likes muggle classics in fiction such as the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe or Gulliver's Travels) just to avoid lying in bed with all of the negative thoughts.
- Hence, drinks coffee to stay focused in class (but it's not available for students in the great hall, so he gets it via a mutual understanding with the teachers, who let him have it if he tries to keep the other marauders in-check.
- This actually kind of works, as it seems like he's one of the only people the marauders (especially the ever hotheaded Sirius) will let tell them what to do.
- Was expecting to have been sorted into Ravenclaw, but didn't care all that much either way (until he grew close with the marauders, and wouldn't have changed it for the world).
- Plays guitar, taught himself some classic rock tunes as a teen but later got more into folk music. Sometimes sings along but only if no one can hear him (his voice isn't amazing, but it's not bad either - it's quite low, and steady, and Sirius finds out comforting when Remus doesn't notice him listening).
- Speaks some basic Welsh, mostly with his mother.
- His favourite season is autumn.
- Least favourite lesson is flying, followed by divination.
- Is generally a very mellow person: doesn't hold grudges or resentment, prefers to go with the flow of things - this is largely because of his fear of giving into the strong emotions associated with being a werewolf, though (the fear of his own strength, and of hurting someone). The rising emotions are particularly difficult to repress in the days leading up to the full moon.
- He enjoyed teaching at Hogwarts more than anything, but could never get the guilt of the possibility of something going wrong from the back of his mind.
- And was really good at it, too, having had so much practice with unruly students from his time with Sirius and James.
- Has never fully trusted anyone, least of all himself.

My “Maruaders Era” Remus Lupin Headcanons
(a/n: Hi! So I haven’t posted anything on here in literal years but recently I’ve began regressing back to my 2019 Marauder’s era phase and I have been seeing a lot of Remus Lupin headcanons on my socials and I wanted to have my say haha. I have thought about this a lot and I’ve landed on a combination of headcanons that I’ve seen online and that come from my own head but I’ve also tried really hard to make it fit in with the adult Remus that we see in Harry Potter so that he feels accurate to his canon self if that makes sense. So if anyone even bothers reading all of this, enjoy.)
- So contrary to some people’s opinions, I genuinely believe young Remus was a sweetheart.
- But this doesn’t mean I think he was perfect or never did anything wrong. I truely think he was a flawed character with a lot of deepseeded self worth issues and mental illness. I think there’s a lot more depth behind his personality and behaviour than many “soft Remus” stans give him credit for.
- But nonetheless, I feel like he always tried to be a kind person and never purposely tried to start conflict with others.
- Like, he never actively bullied Snape but he never stopped his friend’s from doing it either.
- I feel like he was extremely insecure within himself and this manifested as him being quite shy and reserved.
- I firmly believe this man has social anxiety and it takes a while for him to open up to people.
- But once he does he’s actually really funny and has a very blunt and sarcastic sense of humour.
- I also see him as extremely polite and respectful to everyone.
- This is part of the reason teachers like him so much.
- He’s by far the most mature and level headed of the group.
- He likes to think things through but at the same time is a HUGE overthinker.
- He gets caught in his head a lot and worries about EVERYTHING but luckily his friends are always there when he begins to spiral.
- He gains a lot of confidence through being part of the marauders as he finally feels like he belongs somewhere.
- Despite this, he still often worries about being a burden to people, especially his friends (which they obviously assure him he’s not).
- He’s the best listener and advice giver. If you are upset and need someone to talk to, he’s always there. Even if you don’t want to talk and just need someone to keep you company, he’ll sit there right beside you for as long as you need.
- I feel like due to all his stress and injuries, he often gets sick, especially leading up to the full moon.
- Because of this, in Winter he’s always bundled up in lots of layers of winter clothes with his scarf wrapped up high enough that just his little red nose is peaking out over the top.
- You know this man is hella tall but has the worst posture of all time.
- He’s always hunched over which makes him look much shorter than he is but in reality he’s like 6′3.
- Many people see him as the “Cassinova of Gryffindor Tower,” however, I feel like his insecurities don’t allow for this. Instead, I see him as the kind of person not to even be able to tell if someone liked him. And if someone asked him out, he’d just assume it was to hang out as friends.
- He’s the mastermind behind all of the Marauder’s pranks but not becuse he enjoys the act of pranking per say but because he enjoys how much James and Sirius enjoy it and he likes to feel needed and like he’s part of the group.
- Despite being a man of few words he’s actually really well spoken when he wants to be and everything he does say is usually either quite witty or profound and wise (he’s such a smart bean).
- This also helps occasionally in getting himself and the other Marauder’s out of trouble. He knows what to say to the teachers and is sometimes able to talk his way out of trouble.
- I stand by the theory that this man loved chocolate. I really see him as having a sweet tooth.
- I also think that chocolate is his comfort food and makes him feel just a little bit better after the trauma of the full moon.
- He will always help out the younger students if they need it. From things like homework, to helping them find their class. It makes him feel good about himself, like he’s doing something good despite his condition.
- This is probably why he loved being a prefect and definitely why he chose to become a teacher.
- I feel like he has a lot of anxiety and PTSD from being a werewolf and sometimes the common room is just to loud overwhelming for him so hides away in the quiet of the library.
- This is honestly how he and Lily probably became friends. I can imagine them running into each other in the library on a weekend night when they both needed to get away from the chaos of the common room.
- It probably just started with them studying together in silence but eventually they began talking and it developed into a friendship.
-  He’s pretty calm and level headed most of the time but that’s for sure because he just bottles up all of his emotions as he doesn’t want to draw attention to himself or make a scene.
- However, in saying this, he’s easily irritated, especially in the lead up to the full moon and sometimes during these periods it’ll build up and he’ll snap at the other Marauder’s and storm away when they’re getting on his nerves.
- They understand though. They know it’s all part of the full moon phase he goes through.
- Athough he always seems quite stoic and mature, he’s actually very sensitive deep down but doesn’t often show it except to those he really really trusts.
- I imagine he would’ve opened up a lot to Lily about his insecurities.
- He’s also fiercly loyal towards the people who are important to him, however, he’s more subtle in his reactions most of the time than James or Sirius.
- He’s a bit of a scatterbrain and is often caught up in his own world.
- He ALWAYS has his nose in a book and often finds himself getting caught up and being late to classes and meals because of this.
- I also imagine him to always be wearing odd socks, solely because of the fact that he was running late to get ready and didn’t have time to find a pair.
- I also feel like his space is full of clutter and he’s always losing stuff in the mess.
- He also has extremely messy handwriting and he writes really fast to make sure he gets down everything he thinks of.
- For some reason I just feel like he’s always warm.
- Like this man is a human heater, he just radiates heat.
- He’s not particularly affectionate, especially compared to his friends who are always hugging and wrestling touching each other in some way. But when he does occasionally give you a hug, they are the biggest, warmest nicest hugs that you’ll ever encounter.
- I also feel like he’s a really heavy sleeper. Maybe just from the sheer stress of his life and his condition. Remus Lupin is just always tired.
- Overall, he’s an introverted, insecure bean who just wants to help people and who is always willing to offer some advice or some chocolate. He’s extremely kind and also extremely anxious but he’ll always be there for someone who needs him.
(a/n: So there you have it. This is how I imagine Marauders Era Remus to be. Let me know if you want any other headcanons for any of the other characters because making this was really fun. Have a good day, and thanks for coming to my TED talk.)

I don’t know how many of you who come across my page have ever watched Supernatural but I just finished watching Season 15, Episode 10 “The Hero’s Journey” and I have a lot of things to say about it! So here’s my opinion that no one asked for but hopefully someone can relate to 😂!
Something about this episode just doesn’t sit right with me. As funny and lighthearted as it was, the premise bothered me.
Firstly, the idea that Chuck is responsible for not only Sam and Dean’s luck but also their basic skills is so frustrating. It practically ruins their characters and tries to convince the fans that every ability the boys ever had (lock picking, fighting, fixing cars etc.) is as a result of Chuck’s handiwork. It’s basically saying that without his influence, Sam and Dean are completely incompetent, which I find hard to believe. It also doesn’t make any sense! Skills such as lockpicking and hand-to-hand combat are skills that any normal person can learn with a bit of time and effort, so trying to say that they were gifted to Sam and Dean by Chuck just doesn’t work! The boys would have been taught these skills by their father when they were young and have worked on them and used them their entire life, so implying that they can’t do that stuff anymore just because they’re supposedly “normal” is stupid and unrealistic.
In addition, the episode takes a lot away from me as a viewer, especially someone who is creative and likes to write fanfiction! I don’t know about you guys but when I watch a show, I like to emmerse myself in the world of that show. The stuff that I imagine happening off screen is part of the viewing experience for me, as it allows me to add my own creative license and imagine my own scenarios that include the characters doing all those “normal person things”. This episode strips me of that ability as they basically tell the audience that everything that we see on camera is all their is too the story and is not allowing the audience to create their own versions of situations for the characters that fall outside of the main plot of the show.
It also makes the characters seem very two dementional. I find that another important and enjoyable part of getting invested in a series for me is that I’m able to see myself in the characters and therefore connect to them. Even though I don’t hunt monsters and live in this world of crazy supernatural occurrences, I can still relate to the characters feelings and stories and once again, emerse myself in their world. Unfortunately, the premise of “The Hero’s Journey” takes away from that, as essentially, what we’re being told is that Sam and Dean are not normal in any way and never have the mundane, everyday moments that I imagine a lot of fans assume happen off-screen. This makes them seem very 2 dimensional to me, and definitely disconnects me from their story.
Overall, it was a decent episode and an interesting concept that I can imagine many people enjoyed but I personally wish that it didn’t happen the way it did. Watching these kinds of shows often allows me to escape my own world and stretch my creative muscles by writing and imagining my own stories with the characters. However, this episode has somewhat taken that element away from me. I understand the need to clear up plotholes and the idea that the episode was supposed to be comical and somewhat relatable but it just kind of annoyed me. In conclusion, I think this episode could definitely have been left out of the series.

I Almost Do (Darry Curtis x Reader)
Warnings: angst, sadness.
Summary: Things Just haven’t been the same for Darry since the night that you left.
(a/n: It’s been a while since I wrote anything for the Outsiders. I’ve been very busy recently and haven’t had as much time as I would’ve liked for writing. I’m not going to promise to be better because knowing me, I probably won’t haha. However, feel free to request something. It’ll help me be more motivated.)
—-
Darry sat in his chair in the living room of the Curtis house. It was nearing 1am and his brothers were long in bed. However, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t fall asleep. Every time he closed his eyes, all he saw was you. Your happy face, shining eyes and wide smile that he felt so in love with.
It was times like this, times when the stress of his life caught up with him that he missed you most. You always had a way of making him feel better. Even if it was something as simple as cooking dinner for him and the family or giving him a back rub. It was like you possessed some kind of magic that always had him weak at the knees. Something that made him cling to you as if you were a life raft when he felt like he was drifting further and further away from the shore.
He stared out the window across from where he sat, his eyes gazing over the dimly lit street. It was silent at this time of night, a ghostly mood hanging in the air and lingering in the lonely alleyways of Tulsa. Darry felt the emptiness of the night and the town more then ever now. He felt as if there was a gaping hole in his chest that would not close. A hole that only you could fill.
He let out a hefty sigh. It’s not as though he could talk to anyone about it either. His friends wouldn’t understand and he didn’t want to place this burden on his siblings. However, as the night went on, he imagined you were there, sitting on the couch across from him or on his lap, head resting in the nape of his neck. He imagined you whispering words of reassurance to him, telling him that he was a good brother and a good man and that everything would work out alright in the end.
Of course, I’m that moment, nothing seemed alright. Everything felt confusing. He felt like time had been moving in slow motion ever since you’d left.
His mind wandered back to the last night he saw you. He remembered the way you’d fought, how you’d pleaded with him to open up more, not to carry the burdens of his life on his own. He remembered how he hardened, not liking to express his vulnerability, even to someone he cared so much for. He remember how he’d exploded, yelling at you and eventually telling you to leave. He remembered the tears in your eyes as you packed your things, walking out of his house and his life and slamming the door behind you.
He could tell that all of the boys missed you. You were the most kind and caring person any of them had met and they’d grown to think of you as an older sister. You were always taking care of them in a way that they couldn’t themselves. The house felt empty to all of them now, without your smile and your laughter. They were all mad at Darry, he could see it on their faces. However, none of them were brave enough to bring it up to him, rather resolving to sulking alone and missing you internally.
Of course, Darry missed you the most. And as he sat in the chair, staring out into the dark Tulsa night, he wondered what you were doing now.
You sat alone on the musty motel bed. It was late but you couldn’t sleep. You kept having nightmares, or regrets rather, about the life you’d left behind in Tulsa.
Darry had been the love of your life. You were completely perfect for each other. You’d given up everything you had to be with him and on the night he told you to leave, you realised how much you really needed him.
Once you left the Curtis house, you didn’t have anywhere to go. You debated asking Dallas if he could get you a room at Buck’s, however, the idea of potentially running into Darry in the near future seemed far too painful.
Instead, you decided to leave. You decided to escape the town and all reminders of the man you’d once loved. You wanted to start a new life, although it seemed that whenever you found yourself alone, your thoughts would drift back towards him.
You wanted more than anything to let him go and to move on but you just couldn’t find the strength to.
So you sat there, on the uncomfortable motel bed, eyeing the phone that sat on the table across the room.
Your brain jumped back and forth, trying to decide whether not it was a good idea to call him. You’d wanted to call him ever since the night you left almost two weeks ago now. You’d spent hours pacing back and forth, biting your nails and eyeing the phone as if it was a dangerous animal that was preparing to pounce. You’d almost called him so many times but every time you were about to, the fear got in the way. What if he was still mad at you? What if he didn’t want you back?
You looked at the clock. It was late but knowing Darry, he probably wouldn’t be asleep yet.
You found yourself getting up against your will, your feet making their way towards the back of the room. The phone sat there, as if it was tormenting you. You knew his number by heart.
Your hands gently brushed the receiver, yet didn’t take the phone of the hook. You stood there for a moment in the silent room, your mind and heart racing at the sound of hearing his voice once again.
Before you knew it, you felt your fingers punching the numbers into the phone. The waiting was like torture, long and drawn out moments of pain that reminded you of all you were missing. You waited and waited and waited.
The longer you stood there with the phone to your ear, the more that the hopes of him picking up seemed like a distant fantasy. You were just about to give up, about to hang up the phone and go back to sleep, turning on your heel and escaping your old life for good. Then suddenly, deep voice filtered in through the object in your hands.
“Hello? This is Darryl Curtis Speaking.”

Hidden - Stiles Stilinski x OC
Chapter 2/10
Summary: Audrey is a normal girl, living a seemingly normal life until she and her grandmother decide to move to the town of Beacon Hills, a town known for it’s mysterious and unexplainable murders. When Audrey arrives she finds herself swept up in a world of love, friendship and danger and discovers things about herself and her family that she never thought to be possible. It turns out not everything is as it seems.
Warnings: none.
(a/n: Here is the second chapter of Hidden for you all. Since I’ve finished writing this story, I think I’ll try to post a chapter each day. Let me know what you think!)
Previous Chapters: Chapter 1
---
Her feet hit the ground harshly, dark hair whipping out behind her as she ran through the forest. Scott could smell her running by but didn’t recognise the scent. She was fast, too fast to be a human and he recognised the glowing yellow eyes as he caught a glimpse of her running through the trees. This could only mean one thing, there was a new werewolf in Beacon Hills. His wolf instincts kicked in quickly as he followed the sound of the footsteps, trying to catch up to the mysterious girl in front of him. He saw her up ahead and as he approached her, he growled, his eyes flashing red. She looked back for a split second but it was too dark for him to make out her features. She picked up her pace, running as fast as she could into the mess of trees ahead. Scott followed trying to find her, however she had begun masking her scent. He approached a clearing, feet skidding to a halt and eyes searching frantically for any sign of life in the dimly-lit wilderness around him. However, it was too late. She was gone.
---
Audrey glanced at herself in the mirror, checking on her appearance one last time. She’d been living in Beacon Hills for just over a week now and her new found friends had been nothing but welcoming. Scott and Stiles had been kind enough to show her around and were always doing their best to make sure she felt at home, Kira and Lydia had taken her under their wing and were helping her decipher the good kids from the bad at Beacon Hills high and Liam and Malia…well, she was working on it.
“Audrey, Sweetheart?” she heard her grandmother call.
“Yeah Gran?” she responded as she made her way down the stairs.
Her Grandma stood at the door, bag in hand. “I’ve got to head in to work now but do you mind grabbing the last two boxes from the garage before school? I’ll forget about them if they stay in there any longer”.
“Of course Gran”, she smiled, hugging her before she headed out the door.
“Have a good day dear!”
Audrey sauntered towards the garage, pushing the door open and scanning the dark room for the last of the moving boxes. Her eyes fell upon them sitting in the corner and she made her way over to where they were placed. She hesitated for a moment when she saw the words written on the front. The one on top was labelled ‘cleaning supplies’ and she set it down on the floor beside her to take a better look at the second one. Marked in messy ink on the front of the cardboard box were the words ‘Elizabeth Wincrest’.
She sighed, running her hand over the box marked with her mother's name and wondered for a moment whether it was even worth taking out of the garage. However, her curiosity got the better of her and she gently placed it on top of the other box, bringing them both to set down on the living room table.
For a moment she sat in silence on the couch, staring at the box that contained what was left of her mother's things. Part of her didn’t want to open it, thinking it was probably better not to resurface memories that had been buried over the last 11 years. But the other part of her wondered what must be inside it. What of her mother’s was so important that her Nan had decided to keep it even after her mother had been admitted to the institution?
With shaking hands, she pulled off the masking tape that sealed the box shut and slowly removed the lid. A wave of nostalgia hit her as she saw the old photographs laying on top of the pile. They were of her and her mother when she was a child. They were taken back in the time when it was the three of them, all living together. She remembered how her Gran always loved taking pictures of a young Audrey and her mother playing together. Setting aside the pictures, she continued her search through the box of treasures. Most of it was filled with Elizabeth’s old clothes or books she liked to read, none of which had much interest to Audrey. However, at the bottom of the box, Audrey found an old jewellery chest, something she didn’t recognise from her childhood. She quickly pulled it open, slowly sorting through all of the old jewellery. Most of it was quite outdated and not her style, however, there was one piece that caught her eye. It was a ring like none she’d ever seen before. It was silver with a large ruby coloured stone sat neatly in the middle. Holding in in place where what looked to be silver claws and the object sparkled as it caught the mid-morning sunlight. She took the ring in her fingers, inspecting it for a moment. There was something about it, and she wouldn’t quite figure out what, that drew her to the shiny piece of metal. She ran a hand over the top of it, trying to decipher if she’d ever seen it before. Then she was suddenly snapped out of her thoughts by the buzz of her phone.
Pulling it out of her pocket she noticed a message from Lydia alerting her that she was waiting outside to pick her up. She quickly sat the ring back in the box before grabbing her bag and rushing out the door.
---
“Hey everyone, it’s your lucky day because today I’m giving you all a project to do at home over the next few weeks,” the chemistry teacher said as she made her way into the classroom.
Audrey groaned plonking her head down onto the table in front of her.
“You will be partnered with the person next to you and it will be on the topic we have most recently covered in class…”
Stiles nudged Audrey with his elbow as the teacher continued to explain the assignment. She lifted her head up sending him a frustrated look.
“Hey, it can’t be that bad! I mean, you’re paired with me,” he whispered, sending her a joking smirk.
She huffed leaning towards him so the teacher wouldn’t wouldn’t hear her talking. “Well, that really depends on how good you are at chemistry.”
“Oh, I think I'm pretty good.”
The boy winked at her before leaning back in his seat, arms crossed to emphasise his pun. However, forgetting the seat had no backrest, Stiles tipped over backwards and came crashing down onto the floor.
Audrey gasped and the class suddenly went silent, eyes falling on the embarrassed boy.
“I’m okay,” he called quickly before standing up and clambering back onto the chair.
The teacher let out a frustrated huff but went right back to explaining the conditions of the assignment.
Audrey couldn’t help but let out snicker at the clumsy boy beside her.
“Oh shut up,” he muttered.
---
After class, Stiles made his way out of the classroom and towards Scott, having set a time to study with Audrey at his place after school. As Audrey stopped to chat to Kira, Stiles made a beeline towards Scott who was waiting anxiously by his locker.
“So what was it that you needed to talk about?” Stiles asked abruptly as he approached his friend.
Scott’s eyes quickly flickered around the hallway, making sure no one was close enough to overhear, before he turned back to Stiles.
“Last night I was on a run in the woods and I picked up the scent of another werewolf.”
Stiles furrowed his brows. “Another werewolf? Like one we’ve dealt with before or….”
“No this one was different,” Scott continued. “I didn’t recognise her scent. All I know is that she was on her own.”
“Scott,” Stiles said worriedly. “Do you think she’s a threat?”
Scott noticed that Stiles’ eyes subconsciously flickered towards where Audrey was talking to Kira as he asked, making Scott furrow his brows at his friend’s odd reaction.
“I don't know,” he muttered. “But we’ll have to be on high alert until we know for sure. We should probably call a pack meeting tonight to discuss it.”
Stiles nodded. “Okay but it will have to be after seven because I planned to study with Audrey tonight.”
Scott raised an eyebrow at Stiles, crossing his arms expectantly.
“What?” Stiles responded. “It’s a very important project”.
Scott rolled his eyes. “Whatever you say Stiles.”
---
The day went by slowly for Scott and all he could think about was finding out who that werewolf was that he’d encountered in the woods. The pack had planned on meeting at the clinic that night to figure out a plan.
His foot was tapping anxiously on the floor as he watched the time tick by until the end of the day. Once the bell rang, he was the first to get up, slinging his bag over his shoulder and rushing out towards his motorbike.
He arrived at Deaton’s slightly earlier than usual and he noticed something was off as soon as he arrived. It was silent and an eerie feeling hung in the air as he stepped off the bike. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up and he whipped out his claws as he slowly approached the clinic.
Upon walking through the doors he picked up a familiar scent. A scent that he recognised from the previous night. He slowly approached the back room, taking cautious steps around the counter. Turning the corner, he bared his fangs and prepared to pounce on the unknown werewolf, however, he felt too hands pull hold him back before he was able to do so.
“Scott! Scott, it’s okay. She’s isn’t a threat,” he heard Deaton’s voice behind him and slowly shifted back into his human form.
There in front of him stood a teenage girl, probably only a year younger than he was. She had thick dark hair that fell on her shoulders and her eyes were an ocean blue. She stood tall, at the back of the room claws out beside her. She was on high alert.
Deaton stepped forward resting a hand on her shoulder. “Scott, this is Bianca Ramsey, you may have heard of her.”
Scott shook his head, approaching the girl with caution.
“I’m sorry, no.”
Bianca sighed, stepping towards him and retracting her claws as if to show him they were on the same side.
“I’m an Omega. I used to be part of a powerful pack called the Ancestry pack and I came here to warn you. Beacon Hills is in danger.”
---
“The Ancestry pack?” Stiles questioned as he and the rest of Scott’s pack stood around the table at the vet clinic.
“Yes,” Bianca sighed. “They are a powerful pack that have been around for centuries. The Beta’s aren’t created, they are born into the pack. It’s like a birth right. Your parents are in the pack you are in the pack. Whether you want to be or not.”
Liam raised his eyebrows. “That doesn’t sound so bad.”
“Actually, they are some of the most merciless werewolves out there. They will do anything to gain power. The reason I left is because I didn’t want to be a part of a pack as cruel as theirs,” Bianca stated matter-of-factly and Liam shrunk away slightly.
“Do you know why they are headed to Beacon Hills?” Scott questioned, leaning against the metal table in front of him.
Bianca sighed, “I’ve been following them for a while, trying to figure out what their next move is. All I know is that they are looking for something. I don’t know what but it’s here in Beacon Hills and whatever it is, we can’t let them get it.”
The group nodded, exchanging glances and trying to decide what to do next.
“Well, the fact that we know they are coming gives us an advantage,” Lydia spoke up and the others nodded in agreement.
“Why don’t we just hunt them down?” Malia asked. “Bianca knows their scent. We can find them and kill them before they even get to town.”
“We can’t just kill them, Malia,” Stiles countered, rolling his eyes at the girl.
“Why not?”
“Because Bianca just told us they are extremely powerful! They’d probably kill us first.”
“I think I can take them”
“Well, even if you could. We can’t just kill every supernatural being that comes into Beacon Hills!”
“Okay, that’s enough,” Scott interrupted, sighing towards his two friends. “Stiles is right Malia, we can’t just kill them”.
“Thank you-” Stiles began but Scott cut him off.
“But Malia also has a point.”
Stiles huffed and crossed his arms across his chest but kept his mouth shut.
“If we are able to track the Ancestry Pack and know when they are coming, then maybe it’ll help us be prepared for them,” Kira added.
Scott nodded.
“If there is anything I know about this pack, it’s that they like to have the element of surprise,” Bianca muttered. “Chances are that they will come through the forest, similar to how I did.”
“Well, why don’t we do a patrol? We can go in pairs each night and keep watch in Beacon Hills Reserve,” Liam suggested.
Scott looked slightly surprised at the younger, usually impulsive boy coming up with a plan but nodded in agreement nonetheless.
“Great idea Liam.”

Hidden - Stiles Stilinski x OC
Chapter 1/10
Summary: Audrey is a normal girl, living a seemingly normal life until she and her grandmother decide to move to the town of Beacon Hills, a town known for it’s mysterious and unexplainable murders. When Audrey arrives she finds herself swept up in a world of love, friendship and danger and discovers things about herself and her family that she never thought to be possible. It turns out not everything is as it seems.
Warnings: none.
(a/n: Hey guys! I’m really excited to finally be sharing this story with you all! I started writing it a few months ago and I finally feel like it’s ready to share online. I’m very proud of it and I hope you enjoy! It’s set in the same universe that canon Teen Wolf takes place in, however, the storyline and some of the characters are completely original. It’s set as kind of a part B to season 4 I suppose. Anyway, happy reading and as always, feedback is appreciated!)
---
Audrey stepped out of the car, clutching the straps of her backpack tightly as she looked around at her new school. She took a deep breath before walking towards the entrance of Beacon Hills high. It was her first day and she couldn’t shake the nervous feeling that welled in the pit of her stomach. She hated being the new girl.
As she made her way through the school grounds she could feel eyes on her immediately, gazing intensely at the girl before them. She looked down at the ground beneath her, tucking a strand of chestnut hair behind her ears and picked up her pace through the doorways of the school.
Keeping her eyes on her shoes, she walked through the corridor, trying not to draw too much attention to herself. She wanted to set a good reputation for herself at her new school and making a spectacle of herself on the first day didn’t seem to be the way to do it.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t notice the two boys walking towards her.
SMACK!
She fell back onto her bum as she collided with the guy in front of her.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry!”
She looked up and immediately felt heat rise to her cheeks as she noticed the boy she’d just bumped into was extremely attractive. ‘Great’, she thought, ‘way to make a first impression.’
He looked down at her, his chocolate brown eyes widening in concern and he ran a hand through his dark hair. She froze for a moment, taking in the sight of his full red lips and the adorable moles that dotted his cheeks.
“Hey, are you okay?” she was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a hand brush her shoulder and noticed the cute boy’s friend (who happened to also be extremely attractive) crouching down next to her to make sure she wasn't hurt.
“Um...yeah, I’m fine” she quickly pushed herself up off the floor, her eyes widening in embarrassment.
The two boys shared a look as she dusted herself off and collected her things from the ground.
“Here, let me help with that,” said the brown eyed boy as he reached down to pick up her phone off the corridor floor. Audrey quickly snatched the item out of his grasp, not wanting to linger and risk embarrassing herself further than she already had.
The boy glanced at her with a confused expression but Audrey was too caught up in her own humiliation to notice. The three teenagers stood there for a moment, an awkward silence hanging in the air and Audrey wished that a hole would open up under her feet and swallow her.
Eventually the girl spoke up, glancing sheepishly between the two boys in front of her. “I should really get to the principal's office”.
With that, she hurried past them, quickly making her way down the corridor and away from the two boys.
“Are you sure? Because we could help you find-”
“No really, I’m fine” she snapped, turning to face them briefly before continuing to walk away from them as quickly as she could.
---
When Audrey finally made it to the principal's office she let out a sigh, leaning her back on the closed door and replaying the earlier events of the day in her mind. She hadn’t meant to be rude to the boys she ran into, she was just so caught in her humiliated daze that she wanted to get out of that situation as quickly as possible, before she had the opportunity to do more damage.
“Are you Audrey Wincrest?”
Audrey jumped, not realising anyone else had entered the room. “Uh, yes that’s me”.
She turned to look at the source of the voice and noticed two women standing in the doorway to an office. One of them was older and had long dark hair and kind eyes, and the other girl seemed to be around her age. She was a beautiful strawberry blonde and her hair and makeup was styled to perfection. Audrey subconsciously ran a hand through her own hair at the sight of the girl and couldn’t help but feel slightly insecure under her gaze.
The older woman smiled gently before taking a step towards her. “Hello Audrey! My name is Ms Martin and I’m a teacher here at Beacon Hills high. It’s great to have you.”
Audrey nodded nervously, “it’s good to be here.”
“This,” Ms Martin gestured to the gorgeous girl standing beside her, “Is my daughter Lydia. I assigned her to show you around”.
Lydia flashed an award winning smile and Ms Martin handed Audrey a piece of paper.
“Here is your schedule. Lydia will help you out with anything else you need and if you have any questions feel free to come find me, I’ll be in my office”. She gave Audrey one last comforting glance before she left the two girls alone in the waiting room.
Once her mother was gone, Lydia stepped forward, eyeing Audrey curiously.
“Oh my gosh, I love your shoes” she muttered, staring down at her brown wedged boots.
Audrey released a breath she didn’t know she was holding. “Thanks! I mean, your whole outfit is incredible” she muttered as confidently as she could, gesturing to the flawless ensemble the red-haired girl was wearing.
“Oh, I know” she responded playfully. “So what brings you to Beacon Hills?”
Audrey looked down, fiddling with the hair tie on her wrist. “You know, just needed a change I suppose”.
Lydia looked at the girl sympathetically but decided now was not the time to pry. “Well, you came to the right place. Beacon Hills is very different”.
Audrey sent Lydia a curious look. “How so?”
Lydia shrugged but sent her a teasing glance “I suppose you will just have to wait and see.”
Audrey chuckled, Lydia seemed nice. It made her feel a sense of relief at the idea that she wouldn’t have to be completely alone these first few days.
“Can I take a look at your schedule?” Lydia asked.
“Yeah, sure” Audrey responded, placing the piece of paper in the girl’s perfectly manicured hand.
Lydia’s eyes gazed over the writing for a moment before she smirked up at the girl in front of her.
“Looks like we both have history first. Come on, I’ll show you to the classroom”.
At that, she linked Audrey’s arm through hers and the two girls made their way towards the first period.
---
The day seemed to travel pretty smoothly for Audrey after that. Lydia met up with her between every period to show her to class and described herself as Audrey’s “human search engine for Beacon Hills High”. Lydia was kind and cheerful and Audrey could tell she was extremely intelligent. The two girls hit it off right from the beginning and Audrey was starting to feel slightly more comfortable in her new environment.
Eventually, fourth period rolled around and Lydia walked Audrey to the chemistry classroom. Audrey internally groaned at the idea of having to take chemistry but thanked Lydia none the less as they parted ways outside the classroom door.
She took in a deep breath before swinging open the classroom door. Most of the students were already seated at this point and her heart plummeted when she noticed that nearly all the spots in the room were taken. Frantically, she glanced around the classroom for an empty seat and eventually noticed there was one left free in the second row. As she moved towards it, however, her eyes widened at the realisation that the boy sitting next to it was none other than the one she’d crashed into at the beginning of the day.
Hesitating for a moment, she swallowed down the ever-present embarrassment and made her way over to the empty seat. The boy at the bench hadn’t noticed her approaching as he was intensely focused on the book he was reading and, not used to having to share his bench, had his things spread out across the entirety of the table.
Audrey stood awkwardly in front of him for a moment before clearing her throat. His head snapped up quickly in surprise and he fumbled with the book in his hands briefly before slamming it shut. As he stared up at her, Audrey, once again, found her gaze lingering on his delicate features.
“Hey, can I sit here?” she asked, breaking the awkward silence that had filled the air for a moment.
“Uh, yeah sure” the boy muttered and quickly scrambled to move his stuff from her side of the desk.
She took a seat beside him and looked up at him for a moment, giving him a small smile before turning to open her book.
“Hey, do you mind me asking why you chose to sit here... with me?” she glanced up at him, looking slightly awkward.
“It’s the only free seat”
He nodded curtly. “oh yeah, right”.
A silence enveloped the two as they sat there unsure whether or not to speak to each other.
Eventually Stiles turned to her, deciding to swallow his pride and break through the heavy tension that lingered in the air.
“I just wanted to say I’m really sorry about running into you this morning. I feel really bad-”
“No, no it’s okay” she cut him off “It’s my fault. I should’ve been watching where I was going.”
She paused for a moment. “And I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. I got all embarrassed and I acted really rude. What I should have done was thank you for helping me” she pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and gave him another smile - a genuine one this time, before turning back to her work.
He glanced up at her for a moment, taking in her features. She had long chestnut hair with bangs that neatly framed her face. Her eyes were an emerald green and seemed to twinkle gently in the afternoon sun. She was tall, and fair-skinned and beautiful and there was something mysterious about her that made him curious to know more about the new girl.
”I’m Stiles by the way.”
She whipped her head around to face him, a cheeky smirk grazing her lips. “Stiles? Is that your actual name?”
He looked down for a moment, feeling a little disheartened. “Well, it’s not on my birth certificate or anything it’s just what everyone calls me.”
Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment before a look of realisation struck her face. “Oh, no, no. That’s not what I meant. I like it, I think it’s cool”
“Really?” he asked, giving her a goofy grin.
“Yeah. really”. She then stuck a hand out for him to shake, “I’m Audrey”.
He shook her hand firmly. “Nice to meet you Audrey”.
---
The bell rang and Audrey made a beeline for the door, hoping to catch Lydia before she disappeared into the sea of students around her. To her relief, there she was, leaning against a locker and looking down at her phone.
“Hey Lydia” Audrey called and the red-haired girl smiled up at her.
“Hey Audrey! How was class?”
Audrey smiled slightly, remembering how she and Stiles had talked the entire lesson and actually got along really well.
“Surprisingly, it wasn’t terrible”.
Lydia smiled and nodded her head at the girl before her.
“Come on then,” Lydia said and Audrey flashed her a confused glance. “It’s lunch now, I’m going to introduce you to my friends”.
As they approached the lunch table where the group sat, Audrey felt the nervousness build in the pit of her stomach. However, she released a breath of relief when she noticed Stiles sitting at the table, chatting animatedly with the group around him.
“Everyone, this is Audrey. She just started here today,” Lydia said once the girls had arrived at the table.
She was met with friendly smiles and waves from the rest of the group.
“Audrey” Lydia continued “This is Kira, Scott, Liam, Malia and Stiles.”
“We already met, actually” said Stiles, flashing the girls a goofy grin.
“Great,” Lydia smiled. “Then you can keep her company while I go to talk to Mrs Finch for a moment.”
With that, Lydia turned and walked away from the group while Audrey took a seat next to Stiles at the table.
She looked around at the people in front of her, taking in the sight of Lydia’s friends. She recognised Scott as Stiles’ kind friend who helped her after the embarrassing encounter earlier that morning. She noticed that Liam looked slightly younger than the rest of the group and assumed he was a few grades below. She also didn’t fail to notice the awkward glances that Stiles and Malia would make across the table when the other wasn’t looking. It confused her slightly but she decided it would be best to ask Lydia about it later.
“So Audrey, what brings you to Beacon Hills?” Scott asked in a friendly manner before biting down on the sandwich in his hands.
“Well, it’s kind of a long story actually.” Audrey responded and once again started to fiddle with her hair tie.
“We promise we won’t judge,” said Kira, sending her a comforting smile.
Audrey sighed. “Well I suppose now is as good a time as any.”
She took in another breath before continuing, “I just moved here from Phoenix with my Gran. My mum sort of had a mental breakdown a few years back and I never knew my dad so she’s been taking care of me ever since.”
She looked around briefly, noticing the look of pity on the faces of the people around her. “It’s actually not that bad. My Gran and I are super close and I talk to my mum on the phone all the time and everything.”
“Well, you can always talk to us if you need to,” Scott said sympathetically and Stiles rested a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“Trust me, just about all of us know what it’s like to live without a parent.”
Audrey sent them all a grateful grin. “Thanks guys, honestly. But enough about me, tell me about yourselves.”
Lydia came back to the table soon after, taking a seat on Audrey’s other side and the group all got caught up in conversation. Audrey got to know the others a bit better and was really starting to feel like she fit in.
Eventually the bell rang, signalling the end of lunch and Kira offered to walk with Audrey and Lydia to her next class. However, just before they entered the room, Audrey pulled the girls aside.
“Hey, um, I was just wondering what’s going on with Stiles and Malia. I felt a weird vibe between them back at lunch.”
Kira and Lydia shared an awkward look before Kira spoke up.
“Stiles and Malia used to date,” she said with an awkward grimace.
“Oh!” Audrey responded, slightly taken aback by the idea of the two, clearly very different teenagers being together.
“Yeah, they just broke up about a month ago and let me tell you, it was messy,” Lydia informed her and Kira nodded.
“And now it’s kind of weird for all of us because we’re friends with both of them and we all hang out together like, all the time”.
“It’s awkward,” Lydia finished. “Best not to mention it in front of them”.
With that, she turned, strawberry-blonde hair flicking out behind her as she entered the classroom.
Kira and Audrey shared one more awkward glance before both girls walked to their seats. As Audrey sat down, she couldn’t help but notice the slight feeling of anger that bubbled in her chest when she thought about Stiles and Malia together. However, the idea was gone as quick as it came and she brushed the thought out of her mind as soon as the teacher entered the classroom.

So there is this Teen Wolf x OC story that I’ve been working on over the last few months and I’m really excited because it’s almost finished. It’s ten chapters long and I think when I’m done I’ll post it on here. The story is kind of an AU. It’s set in the same universe but between seasons four and five of the show and the story is completely original as are some of the characters. But yeah, I’m really hyped for you guys to read it, let me know if you are too! 😊
