Why don't more sunshine grumpy books have sunshine BF's. Like the gf being sunshine is all well and good but I love it when boys are soft and happy and friendly. I love it when they act like they're openly feeling. I love it when they're the life of the party, when they shed that "I always have to be tough" exterior and genuinely enjoy themselves without caring what anyone thinks, when they flirt with everyone regardless of their gender, not to date but with the intention of just making friends, when they're excitable and happy and just themselves without the expectations imposed by society. TMI as 1989 (it gives fresh new ✨vibes✨, the beginning of everything, welcome to new York is basically perfect as both an album and series starter, they both make you feel energetic and that want to do DO SOMETHING)

TID as folklore (its comforting and feels like home away from home, like the childhood house that you still feel nostalgic for but know you've outgrown, its heartbreak and pain and misunderstanding)

TDA as reputation (finding love amidst the chaos that has overtaken your life, its dark, gritty and shows us the harsh realities of life, but as you get closer to the end you find yourself clinging to the small bits of happiness and love that you found in this trying time)

TLH as evermore (its the type of sad that makes you want to wrap your arms around yourself and be convinced that everything is going to turn out ok, its also very dark but in a soft way, not in the burning crashing way that TDA is)
