How did you learn about rain world and what compelled you to write an amazing fic about it when you haven't played it?

Also how is your first rain worlding experience going?

I watched vods! I actually watched rain world playthroughs a long time ago and enjoyed the lore and extremely trippy ascension sequence etc, but it wasn't until downpour came out and I watched the new campaigns that I got into the fandom. It's the iterators that compel me mainly in a fandom way and downpour campaigns focus on their storylines to a much greater extent. And then I read a lot of wiki and got into a hyperfocus while in my covid sickbed and wrote like hell. The rest is history.

My game is going ok! Currently in garbage wastes trying to get past what I'm loosely assuming is the gate to shoreline, but I gotta get more karma first. I have been having some issues with scavs murdering my children, which is never ideal.

And yeah trust me I miss the fic too, but ain't much to be done about that. I write for a living and in my current state don't really have anything left in me for hobby writing when the workday is done. I'll be able to write again when I can write again, and that's all can really be said.

what the hell is 3sig+?

it’s a very obscure series of characters and Google is not helping. Seems to be connected to you?

Lmao yes. it's a Rain World crossover au between my Assembly and @ressioo 's Solar Flare AUs that started as crack and then grew extreme legs. Named thus because it begins with two of my Sigs' selflings explosively and accidentally entering Res' SF universe and meeting his Sig (who we call peepaw for his old man energy). Hence, 3 Sigs. And then +, because it really grew from there.

At this point, I consider it a fairly canon post-story to Assembly, even though it's of high octane crack origin, because I'm way too emotionally attached at this point to do otherwise.

Kia has decided to retire her winter wardrobe all over my everything

#kiadanta #my cats #ragdoll #cat #the fluff heap in the last picture is what i brushed from her yesterday and today #it seems to be working though!! i can pick her up and only have a 30% opacity fur coating on me afterwards #instead of the 80% it was at the start of yesterday #I'm glad shes receptive to being bribed with treats to be wetted down and brushed extensively for such long sessions #she has a good time with everything except belly brushing #which i have to do much more coaxing for #but with treat bribery i can recall her to the brushing spot pretty much instantly whenever she starts to wander off #and while she doesnt like her coat being sprayed directly she's fine with me cupping water in my hands and wiping it on her #i find it's much much easier to brush her when she's damp #otherwise the fur is all so stupidly fine it just floats away and i cant get much of the loose stuff onto the brush at all. just goes whoosh #summer shedding be like that #more kia on this blog btw i dont reblog all or even most of it here

Peace Is A Journey

On hiatus, possibly until TDP is finished, because it turns out I don't enjoy writing canon-informed fics when the canon in question is actively updating. Also this is an incredibly high investment story to write in general, needs immense energy to juggle logistics, and I may not have that kind of energy for a long while.

Paper Cranes

Not abandoned, but also not likely to update any time soon. On the order of ten years is more likely than on the order of one.
