Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…
Chelsea Houska Awkwardly Comments on Jenelle Evans’ Divorce Drama
Chelsea has done her best to distance herself from ‘Teen Mom 2’ over the past few years— making it clear that she has no interest in revisiting her time on the MTV show…or the drama (or people) who come with it. However, in a recent live interview with Access Hollywood, Chelsea was put on the spot and asked to comment on the recent divorce drama surrounding her former co-star Jenelle…and things got awkward.
Chelsea— who was doing the interview with her husband Cole DeBoer to promote the currently airing second season of their show Down Home Fab— seemed to be caught off-guard when the reporter asked for her thoughts on Jenelle’s pending divorce from David Eason, and then asked Chelsea if she had any “advice” for Jenelle.
“I have not been in contact [with Jenelle],” Chelsea said after stuttering a bit. “But obviously I can’t imagine how going through a divorce would be, in general, so I hope she’s doing OK.
“And I wish her, just the best.”
Chelsea’s reluctance to speak about Jenelle may be due to the fact that Jenelle has bashed Chelsea online numerous times since Chelsea departed ‘Teen Mom 2’ in 2020. (As fans know, Jenelle was fired from the show in 2019.) Back in 2021, Jenelle stated online that she felt Chelsea was “a complete bitch to her” during their years on ‘Teen Mom 2.’
After Chelsea left the show in 2020, Jenelle shaded her, telling her online followers that she felt Chelsea (and her story) were “fake.”
Kail Lowry Says She & Jo Rivera Do Not Communicate “Whatsoever” & Haven’t for Years; Says Her & Javi Marroquin’s Co-Parenting Has Improved
On the latest episode of her Coffee Convos podcast, former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star Kail Lowry opened up about the rocky co-parenting relationship she has with one of her baby daddies and for once, she wasn’t talking about Chris Lopez.
“Jo and I don’t communicate,” she said of her first baby daddy, with whom she shares son Isaac. “Like, we have no communication whatsoever. We don’t talk.”
Kail added that when a fan stated that she and Jo would “win” for “most-improved co-parenting” relationship, she disagreed.
“No, literally me and Javi [Marroquin would win]. Me and Javi are— you guys know– strictly email [communication only]. We are so cordial,” she said of her co-parenting relationship with Baby Daddy No. 2. “We may not be friendly in public, but if Lincoln is there and we need to have a face-to-face conversation, like at a sporting event or whatever, we are cordial, straight to the point, no extra bulls**t. We don’t fight.”
Kail added that she and Javi have not fought at all since last year, when Kail said something he didn’t like on a podcast.
“We have no arguments whatsoever. We have nothing to argue about because no lines are blurred. We aren’t overly friendly, we don’t talk if we don’t have to,” she continued.
“But Jo and I? We don’t communicate at all. We don’t text, there’s nothing,” Kail added.
When asked by her co-host Lindsie Chrisley how she and Jo co-parent if they don’t communicate, Kail admitted that they will send each other the absolute bare-minimum amount of texts to get plans relayed for their son Isaac.
“We are not friendly,” she said. “Jo and I have been like this for a long time. I don’t know when it started or why it started…I’m not hurt by it; I’m not upset by it. But with that can come feelings of resentment.”
Kail didn’t discuss what role Jo’s wife/her Baby Mamas No Drama podcast co-host Vee Torres plays in co-parenting Isaac, or how her friendship with Vee is affected by her poor relationship with Jo.
Kail said there wasn’t a certain incident that caused her and Jo’s relationship to be the way that it is, though she claimed it has been this way “for a long time” and she doesn’t know when it started.
While she acknowledged that there will be times where she and Jo will need to discuss important things regarding Isaac, she doesn’t see them communicating otherwise.
“It is what it is, like, I’m not hurt by it, I’m not upset by it … I just, I think that … with that can come frustrations and with that can come feelings of resentment and things like that,” she said.
Maci Bookout Says She’s Still Open to the Idea of Turning Her Family of Five Into a Six-Pack.
The McKinney family may welcome another child into their family in the future.
In a recent interview with In Touch Weekly, Maci admitted that the possibility of adoption will “never be off the table” for her and husband Taylor McKinney, who are already parents to daughter Jayde and sons Maverick and Bentley– the latter of whom Maci’s shares with ex Ryan Edwards.
Maci and Taylor— who, in the past, have talked about their desire to adopt a child— said that they have no plans to adopt any time soon, though.
“I just know we have specific expectations and goals of what we want to be able to provide and what we want to be able to give,” Maci said. “And we are just not in that space right now. We’re drowning with ours and everything else that right now, it’s just not realistic.
“Even if it was fostering and not adoption–- just fostering in hopes that they do find adoptive parents-– I could never take it off the table,” she continued. “But right now, it’s just not realistic for what we wouldn’t be able to give, everything that would need to be given and what we want to provide. It’s just not possible right now.”
Taylor agreed that as of now, the topic is “on the back burner.” Still, he admits there’s some hesitation on his end.
“There was a couple years where even after Maverick, I still kind of wanted a fourth child, even though Maci didn’t,” he said. “And then we kind of brought up adoption, too, but I don’t know.
“I think, I know for me at some point, it kind of turned where I was like, I think we’re good with three [kids],” he continued. “I don’t know, a fourth one would be tough.”
On a 2019 episode of ‘Teen Mom OG,’ Maci pressed for Taylor to undergo a vasectomy, arguing that she was “100 percent” sure she did not want to have any more biological children.
Taylor ultimately didn’t go through with the procedure, though Maci claimed they both were “very respectful of how the other feels about it.”
“We’re on the same page as far as it being OK that we’re on different pages,” she told Us Weekly in 2020.
Kail Lowry Applauds Herself For Jumping Off the ‘Teen Mom’ Train(wreck)
It’s been two years since Kail barrel-rolled herself off the monorail that is ‘Teen Mom,’ and the former reality TV star congratulated herself for making– and sticking to–the decision to leave the show.
In a post to Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Kail revealed that it had been two years to the day that she last filmed for ‘Teen Mom 2.’
“2 years ago today, I filmed my exit from the ‘Teen Mom’ franchise,” she wrote, in the caption of photos from that day of filming. “Thankful for the opportunity & proud of myself for making that decision & following through.”
On a recent episode of her Coffee Convos podcast, Kail spoke about how things changed during her time on ‘Teen Mom 2,’ in regard to how issues with the cast were dealt with.
“I think that ethics and morals go out the window at some point when you’re looking at dollar signs,” Kail said. “If the price is right, they’ll let anything slip under the radar.
“I feel like that started to happen with ‘Teen Mom, to be honest,” she said. “I think that things started to occur— and because there was so much money being brought in— that eventually they were like, ‘We’ll let this slide and see what happens.
“[The network and the producers] don’t care, as long as they have jobs and money,” Kail said.
During an appearance on the Dumb Blonde podcast last year, Kail opened up about the two main reasons she left the show, one of which was because she felt betrayed by those making the show because they refused to discipline Kail’s nemesis Briana DeJesus for the acts she committed against Kail.
“I paid my dues in the industry. I don’t feel like she has,” Kail said of Briana at the time. “We’re talking about [me sharing] divorce, cheating scandals, STDs, and you can’t even say, ‘This is unacceptable’ and do something about it. There was no regard or human decency. So that was turning points [for me to leave the show].
In addition, Kail said she wanted more privacy for herself and her kids.
“My kids are getting older, Isaac really didn’t want to film anymore,” she told podcast host Bunnie XO. “So I was just kind of feeling like, ‘Maybe this is time for me to move on,’” she said. “My kids didn’t want to film. I just wanted the privacy and to kind of just move on.”

File this under: “You can’t make this stuff up.”
David Eason was in court on Thursday to answer to the restraining order request his estranged wife, Jenelle Evans, recently filed against him for her and her kids. As The Ashley previously reported, David was late for the court hearing, which began at 9:30 a.m. And now, The Ashley can exclusively reveal why Mr. Jenelle Evans was tardy.
Although David told the angry judge that he accidentally went to the wrong courtroom, he was actually out in the hallway, begging Jenelle’s former lawyer Dustin Sullivan to represent him!
Dustin— who is infamous for appearing on Teen Mom 2 as Jenelle’s lawyer during the early seasons and during the famous “Kesha” concert scene— happened to be in the courthouse and was recognized by David.
According to The Ashley’s court sources, the lawyer-less David made a last-ditch effort to get an attorney into the courtroom to represent him.
“He told Dustin that he has no lawyer and asked if he would represent him, even if it was just for the court hearing on Thursday,” one source said. “Dustin looked surprised and made it very clear that he would not be willing to represent David, even for just the court hearing that day.”
After David was unsuccessful in convincing Dustin to represent him, he came into the courtroom and told the judge he accidentally went to the wrong courtroom, making no mention that he was actually inside the courthouse trying to get a lawyer.
“David asked that the case be continued, and Jenelle’s attorney agreed,” one of The Ashley’s court sources stated. “The judge continued the case until April 25.”
The Ashley can also reveal that David objected to that date.
“He told the judge he didn’t have a lawyer and he needed more time than that to get himself one,” the source said. “The judge told him that he didn’t, and that two weeks should be sufficient time for David to find counsel.”
The Ashley’s source said David left the courthouse “in a huff” and, in a video filmed by a reporter for The Sun, he is seen cussing at the photographer as he arrived at his car.

Jenelle Evans came face-to-face with her former soulmate (and future ex-husband) David Eason on Thursday in court.
Jenelle and David were there to present their cases to a judge in regard to the domestic violence restraining order Jenelle recently requested for herself and her kids. The former Teen Mom 2 couple– who split in February— attempted to avoid each other during the short hearing.
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that David arrived over 15 minutes late, telling the angry judge that he accidentally went to the wrong courtroom; however, his truck didn’t pull into the courthouse parking lot until 9:30— 15 minutes after the hearing started. Jenelle was also late; however, her lawyer was present to represent her and informed the judge Jenelle would be a few moments late. She arrived shortly afterward.
“David finally arrived– solo– with no lawyer,” The Ashley’s court sources tell her. “He told the judge he needed the case to be continued because he still doesn’t have a lawyer.”
Judge T.D. Nance stated that, usually in these types of cases, he allows the case to be continued only one time per party. He then asked Jenelle’s attorney if they would agree to the case being continued.
“Jenelle was waiting outside the courtroom during this time but lawyer said they agreed, but that they want this case over as soon as possible,” the court source said.
Jenelle— who was “obviously dressed up” for the hearing, according to The Ashley’s sources— arrived wearing a pink shirt, suede “more classier” court shoes and had her hair curled. David also selected the finest wares from his closet on his broken boat. He came in wearing all black, as well as a bright red coat with a yellow hood.
The next hearing has been set for April 25. Jenelle and David are both expected to attend.
This not the first time David went to court this week. The Ashley can exclusively report that David was in court on Monday, attempting to get the restraining/no contact order that’s currently in place to prevent him from contacting Jenelle’s oldest son, Jace, dropped. His request was denied and the order still stands at press time.

Jenelle Evans says her estranged husband David Eason isn’t sending any “talking words” to their daughter, Ensley. In fact, the fired Teen Mom 2 star is claiming–through her lawyer Brandon Pettijohn— that David hasn’t tried to contact their kid at all since he was banished to live on the couple’s broken boat in February. However, in court paperwork filed by Jenelle herself last month (and obtained by The Ashley), she contradicts this statement!
In a new interview with The Sun— Jenelle’s lawyer, Brandon, stated that David is allowed to see and contact the seven-year-old, but is just choosing not to.
“As far as David seeing Ensley, absent a court order, both parents have 100% rights to their child all the time without that court order” Brandon said (while taking a break from shaking his caboose on TikTok).
“To my knowledge, David has not attempted to contact Ensley, or tried to contact her through our offices, and he has my contact info,” he added.
Jenelle mentioned in her court filing from February 23 that David had not called to check in on Ensley since Jenelle filed for legal separation.
In her filing for a protective order from March 13, though, Jenelle confirmed that David did, indeed, try to contact Ensley on the night of March 9. Jenelle also confirmed that she shut that attempt down.
“March 9, 7 p.m. David asked Jenelle to speak with his daughter [Ensley],” Jenelle wrote in her timeline of events submitted to the court. “When Jenelle said she was busy using her phone for work, [David] started harassing her with degrading texts, telling her ‘she only cares about penis.’ David then proceeded to call Jenelle twice, trying to prevent her from working.
“Jenelle texted David to ‘leave her alone, stop texting me’ and David responded, ‘F**k you.'”
This week, David confirmed that he has not spoken to Ensley, stating that Jenelle is to blame for that.
“Yes, I can see [Ensley]. I’ve tried to call, I’ve tried to text, no response, no answer. I tried to see the kids, she didn’t allow it,” David said on TikTok Live on Tuesday.
“Legally, yes, I can see Ensley, I can talk to her. But the thing is, I tried, and tried, to call and text for the first couple of weeks I was here and [Jenelle] wouldn’t text me back, wouldn’t answer the phone,” David said on Live on April 2.
“Ever since I talked to this police [officer] a couple of weeks ago, he told me to just act like the restraining order’s in effect, even though it isn’t because then [Jenelle] wouldn’t have anything else to add to [the restraining order request],’ David said during the April 2 Live session. “It’s a sad situation. Do a lot of men go through the same situation I’m going through right now? Absolutely.”
“Most men are probably not as level-headed as me and can’t deal with it as well as I do,” David added.
(No…seriously. David “Yosemite Sam” Eason actually said that.)
As The Ashley previously reported, Jenelle and David will meet up in court soon, where each side will be able to present their evidence to a judge, who will then decide if Jenelle’s request for a restraining order will be granted against David for herself, Ensley and Jenelle’s son Kaiser. (There is already a no-contact/protective order against David for Jenelle’s oldest son Jace, due to the fact that David currently has pending child abuse and “assault by strangulation” charges against him for his alleged physical attack on Jace in September.)
In his new interview with The Sun, Jenelle’s lawyer Brandon declined to discuss David’s child abuse/assault charges.
“At this time I’m not going to be able to comment because there is a pending criminal complaint, but I’ll be able to comment at some point,” he said

Ryan Edwards and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Mackenzie are currently in a battle for their kids and, in a proposed “parenting plan” created by Ryan last month, the troubled Teen Mom dad is asking for 50/50 custody of his kids, as well as child support, alimony and more from Mack!
The Sun reported on Wednesday that Ryan recently filed a proposed parenting plan. In the Complaint for Divorce (which has been obtained by The Ashley), Ryan asks to be  “designated the primary residential parent” of five-year-old son Jagger and four-year-old daughter Stella. He also asks that Mackenzie pay him child support, using the money she earns at her job.
The Ashley can also exclusively reveal that Ryan— who has made millions during his nearly 15 years on MTV— also asked the judge to “vest the title to [marital or separate] property to him as “alimony.”
In addition, Ryan is asking the judge to make Mackenzie pay his attorney fees, as well as any legal fees that he incurs for “defending the interest of the children.”
Ryan is so adamant that Mackenzie pay him the child support he wants that he asked the judge to have “a lien be imposed on [Mackenzie’s] property to ensure the payment of any child support.”
As The Ashley reported earlier this week, a mutual restraining order was issued, barring Ryan and Mack from contacting each other. The restraining order allows Mackenzie to speak with Ryan’s family in regard to custody and visitation.
Jagger and Stella have been living with Mackenzie since she and Ryan split in early 2023. In his proposed Permanent Parenting Plan, Ryan says he wants the kids to reside with him 182.5 days, and 182.5 with Mackenzie. (Ryan is currently living with his girlfriend Amanda Connor, whom he met last year while both were in rehab.)
He asks that the kids be exchanged between him and Mack every other week, with the exchange happening on Fridays at 6 p.m.
Until Mackenzie and Ryan settle their divorce, both are asked not to move the kids out of state (or within 50 miles of the home they once shared), without permission from the other parent or the court. Among other things, they are also asked to refrain from cancelling insurance premiums for the kids or each other; and to not “hide, destroy or spoil, in whole or in part, any evidence electronically stored or on computer hard drives or other memory storage devices.”
Mack and Ryan are both asked not to give away, hide or dispose of any marital property without the other person’s consent.
Mackenzie has yet to respond to Ryan’s proposed plan.

Ryan Edwards has been ordered to stay away from his soon-to-be-ex-wife Mackenzie.
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that the Teen Mom dad was back in court on Monday to attend a hearing regarding a protective order request filed by Mackenzie in March. Ryan– accompanied by his lawyer (but not by his trusty girlfriend Amanda Connor or his parents Jen and Larry Edwards)— went before the judge, who was to decide if the temporary protective order should be made permanent.
A Hamilton County clerk confirmed to The Ashley on Tuesday that a two-year restraining order has been ordered by the judge, barring Ryan from having any contact with Mackenzie. (Mack also requested protection for Jagger and Stella— the two children she shares with Ryan— but it’s unknown if that was also granted.)
The clerk also confirmed that Mackenzie will also have no contact with Ryan, as it is a “mutual restraining order.” (Mackenzie’s original request was dismissed and replaced by a mutual court order.)
A Temporary Ex Parte Order of Protection— which was exclusively obtained by The Ashley— was issued on March 28, with the court finding that Mackenzie was “under an immediate and present danger of abuse from” Ryan. He was ordered not to “abuse, threaten to abuse, hurt or try to hurt, or frighten” Mack or their kids. Ryan was also told not to put Mackenzie and/or the kids in “fear of being hurt or in fear of not being able to leave or get away” from him.
The order also barred Ryan from stalking (or threatening to stalk) Mack and the kids; or coming around or contacting Mack or the kids. (This includes showing up at her home.)
Two additional areas of protection were ordered: Ryan must not hurt (or threaten to hurt) any animals owned by Mackenzie or the kids. (This is notable, given that, back in 2016, Ryan was investigated for animal cruelty after he went on a cat-killing spree and bragged about it online.)
It was also handwritten on the order that Ryan is to refrain from damaging Mackenzie’s property or “interfering with” the home’s utilities. (As The Ashley reported last year, Ryan allegedly trashed the home he previously shared with Mackenzie and their children. According to the incident report and body cam footage of the house taken after the alleged rampage, the home was covered in graffiti and paint spatter, and nearly everything in the home was ruined or broken.)
Ryan is due back in court later this month for a status check regarding the numerous criminal charges he has in Hamilton County, including DUI, possession of a controlled substance and harassment.
UPDATE! The Sun posted additional information about the restraining order that was granted on Monday. The signed order states that the lawyers for Mack and Ryan will work together to figure out a time when Ryan can retrieve possessions from the home they once shared.
The document also stated that Mackenzie is to only contact Ryan’s family when it is “regarding visitation with the children.”
In addition, both Mack and Ryan are to refrain from contacting the other party’s significant other. (As The Ashley has previously reported, Mackenzie and Ryan’s current girlfriend Amanda have thrown shade back-and-forth online in recent months.)
It does not appear that Amanda is barred from contacting Mackenzie.

Things are getting serious between Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee and her boyfriend, Khesanio Hall.
The couple went public with their romance in 2023 after months of speculation following her split from Josh McKee.
Mackenzie recently introduced Khesanio (or Khess as she calls him) to Teen Mom fans when he appeared alongside her in Season 3 of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
Now that Mackenzie and Khess’s relationship is out in the open, Teen Mom fans have lots of questions.
During a recent Q&A in her Instagram Stories, Mackenzie opened up about the possibility of becoming Mrs. Hall and having babies with her new boyfriend.
One question from a curious follower asked, “Do you guys plan to get married? You guys are cute together.”
To respond, Mackenzie uploaded a photo of herself and Khess posing for a sweet couple’s snap while filming for Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Under the photo, Mackenzie wrote, “Khess is mine forever!”
Unsurprisingly, another one of Mackenzie’s followers wanted to know whether she plans on having more children.
Rather than write her answer, Mackenzie included a photo of herself recording a confessional for Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, with an expression of uncertainty on her face as she stared down at the ground.
“Wedding bells anytime soon?? I absolutely love yall,” read the last question in Mackenzie’s Stories.
To respond to this one, Mackenzie uploaded a recording of herself and Khess interacting with her fans.
“That’s a Khess question,” Mackenzie noted as he began to say, “Bing, bing, bing!” as he pointed toward the Teen Mom star.
Although Mackenzie didn’t give her fans direct answers, it seems as though she’s open to getting married again.
However, she and Josh are still legally married, even though they’ve been separated since 2022.
As Monsters and Critics reported in August 2023, Mackenzie claimed that Josh refused to sign divorce papers.
On August 4, 2023, Mackenzie took to Twitter to tell her followers that, at the time, she had filed for divorce over a year prior.
Mackenzie asked for help locating Josh because she had been unable to reach him and have him sign the divorce papers.
Mackenzie and Khess’s relationship is in stark contrast to her and Josh’s storyline in the Teen Mom franchise.
