Lea's Home
Chapter 9 pt.1
Exams seasons are finally over. All that studying, all those countless hours spent bent over books, looking at diagrams..... finally I am allowed a moment's respite. There are so many things I want to do, places I want to be, friends I want to meet, but all of that can wait.
I need her. I need Lea. Desperately, every fibre of my being yearns for her. Why do I miss her so much? Why does my heart beat so strangely when I think of her?
Anyway none of that matters. I can figure it out later anyways, I just need to see her now.
I pack my bags and exit the exam hall in a hurry, not bothering to acknowledge my classmates as they try to get my attention, asking about trivial things like "Hey! How'd the test go?" and "That was a tough one wasn't it?". I don't care if I'm coming off as rude. I run across campus to Lea's block and enter her classroom, expecting to see her in her usual spot but surprisingly she wasn't there. No worries, she probably went to the cafeteria after her test as well.
I run to the cafeteria, eyes frantically searching for her...but to no avail. I catch one of her classmates to ask for her location and they reply that she left as soon as she handed in her paper..... strange. I thought she'd wait for me.
My head is getting foggy and I'm unable to think straight.... I've missed listening to her heart, her beautiful pump as it danced for me, the way her breath caught in her throat when my finger traced along her slender curves, they way her eyes fluttered shut when the diaphragm touched her skin..... Images of her flood my mind, her moans echo in my ears. I need to see her.
I catch a cab to Lea's home. On entering, I curtly nod to the head maid and briskly walk to her room, and stand in front of her door. I resist the urge to kick the door down and take in a few deep breaths. I need to calm my mind. I focus on the thumping in my chest, my heart eager and anxious to reunite with her muse, as it squeezes hard and fast. I hear the shower turn off inside, and hear her petite footsteps as she steps out of her bathroom and the creak of her bed as she sits.
I give 2 curt knocks. "Lea? Hey..... It's me..." My voice sounds breathy. Weird.
".............." I hear her suck in her breath, as if trying not to reveal her presence inside..... Why? I've been losing my mind because I've missed her so much, did she not miss me? Am I the only one feeling so....vulnerable? I feel a twinge of pain in my heart.
"I can hear you love, I'm coming inside." I hear a scuffle as I open the door and I see Lea on her bed, frantically clutching at her bathrobe. Her eyes look at me in annoyance and I flinch at the way it pierces me.
"What's wrong? Did I do something?"
No answer. She defiantly lifts her head and looks away, still angry. My chest hurts as my heart pounds harder.
"Please.....please talk to me... please." Despite my best efforts to maintain my image, my desperation is heard clearly.
She continues to look away, though I see her eyes moisten. Here I am, baring myself openly and she still refuses to look me in the eye? And I thought we meant more to each other. I've been losing my mind the past few days, going insane just thinking about her, used to touch myself with the thought of her, hear the way my heart pounded so fiercely because of her.... but apparently she didn't feel the same way about me. I feel tears pricking my eyes and the pain in my chest makes it hard to breath. I've never let myself feel this many emotions so openly before, and I will not now. I turn my back and walk swiftly to the door.
I hear a sudden thud as Lea falls off her bed and runs to me and hugs me tight. Before I have the chance to process anything, Lea whips me around, grabs my head and kisses me.
Lea is kissing me. Desperately. Passionately. Roughly.
She pulls away and I try to catch my breath. "W-what was that?"
"I've... missed you..." Her face is flushed and her eyes stare at me defiantly and I see the depth of her longing. Just as I know she can see in my eyes. The strands that delicately frame her face shake with each beat of her heart and all of a sudden, I desperately want her. Want her heart. Want it to pound for me as she used to.
I gently caress her face, "me too... me too." And I kiss her again. This time slowly, gently. Gently sliding my tongue across her lips, tasting the sweet strawberry of her lip gloss. I feel her open her mouth more, as if giving me permission to go further.
My hands trace up her torso and rest on her neck, feeling her carotids bounding with each beat. I lock the door as things start getting more intense and push her on the bed. I grab my steth from my bag and hers from her desk. She removes her bathrobe completely and I take in her entire body. My eyes rest on her chest, which is clearly thudding away. Lea arches her back more, pushing her strong organ further out.
"My chest hurts so bad, please.... please help me" Lea pleads, eyes staring straight into my soul. I slip on my steth, get on top of her and place the steth on her tricuspid valve. Immediately the familiar sound, my reason and muse, fills my ears. Her heart is pounding so fast, I can feel just how badly she missed me.
"Let me take care of you, love". I say, and meet her lips with more passion. My other hand gently teases her nipple, hardened and erect.
I've missed her so much. And now, she's gonna realize just how badly I've missed her. Just how desperately I needed to hear her heart.

THE DARK LORD charles leclerc x reader
part 3
surprise another part for you loves and I tried to make it as long as I can
Tumblr media
I woke up with a gasp, disoriented, in a cold, dark room. My limbs felt heavy as if they were made of lead. My head throbbed incessantly. I tried to remember how I got here, but the fog in my mind refused to clear. The last thing I could recall was… no, that wasn't right. There was something before that. Something important. Something about… a dark lord? was it all a dream? was it even real? why can't I remember anything? it felt as if I was dreaming before.
As I struggled to collect my thoughts, I realized that my clothes had been exchanged for a plain white nightgown. I sat up, feeling a pang of fear in my chest. This wasn't right. Where was I? And more importantly, who had put me here?
I tried to stand, but my legs were weak and wobbly. I made my way over to the door, feeling my way along the wall until I found the doorknob. With a shaking hand, I turned it and pushed the door open.
The room beyond was dimly lit, the walls lined with bookshelves and adorned with strange symbols I didn't recognize. A large, ornate throne sat at the far end, its cushion empty. I felt a chill run down my spine as I took a step forward, a sense of foreboding settling heavily in my stomach.
"Hello?" I called out, my voice shaking. "Is anyone here?" There was no answer, only the soft rustling of pages from the books on the shelves. "Hello? I'm not whoever you think I am. I don't belong here. Please, just tell me what's going on. I don't belong here, I need to get back to the queen, she must be worried about me" I cried out.
I walked a few more steps, my heart pounding in my ears. As I neared the throne, I noticed a piece of parchment lying on the floor nearby. Curiosity getting the better of me, I stooped to pick it up. As I unfolded it, my eyes widened in horror. It was a map, with a single, burning red X marking a location in the center. the queen's castles. Written beneath it were the words, "The ritual begins tonight."
"No," I whispered. "No, this can't be happening." Frantically, I searched the room for anything that might help me, but found nothing. The only exit was the door I had come through. I had to find a way out, had to stop whatever it was that was about to happen. I had to save myself.
Ignoring the protests of my aching body, I forced myself to my feet and stumbled toward the door. As I made my way down the hallway, I found myself in a larger chamber filled with candles and the flickering light of countless fireplaces. A dark figure stood at the center of the room, their back turned to me.
"Wait!" I cried out, my voice cracking. "Please, you don't understand! I'm not who you think I am!" The figure turned slowly, revealing the face of the dark lord from my dreams. He smiled coldly.
"Oh, love?" he said, his voice smooth and seductive. "You're exactly who I think you are."
My heart skipped a beat as he stepped closer, his eyes boring into mine. There was something about him, something dangerous and alluring all at once. "You are the one," he continued, "the chosen one. You have been brought here for a reason."
I tried to back away, but my feet seemed rooted to the spot. "No," I managed to choke out. "I don't want this. I don't want to be part of whatever you're planning."
He stepped even closer, so close that I could feel his breath on my skin. "Ah, love," he purred, "you are already a part of it. You always have been." His hand reached up, tracing a finger along my jawline. something about his touch felt familiar "You are the key to my victory, the missing piece of the puzzle. Embrace it, my dear."
As his words sank in, I felt a strange sensation wash over me. Part of me wanted to resist, to fight against the inevitable, but another part found myself drawn to him, to the power and certainty in his voice. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against mine, and for a moment, I forgot everything else. that was going around me. All of this felt like deja vu as if I had seen something like this happen before, which was causing me a head ache the more I think about it.
When he pulled away, his eyes were glowing with an inner light. "Tonight," he whispered, "tonight we shall change the world." His hand reached down, cupping my face gently, his thumb tracing my cheekbone. "You will be my queen, my equal, my partner in this great work. Together, we will bring about a new age."
I couldn't help but feel a shiver of excitement run down my spine. His words resonated with something deep within me, some primal part of my soul that had always yearned for purpose and meaning. I nodded, my eyes never leaving him, my heart racing with anticipation as if this was meant to happen, as if destiny had planned for me to end up with the dark lord.
As we stood there in the flickering light, the candles casting long, dancing shadows across the chamber, I felt a sense of belonging, of purpose, wash over me. I knew, without a doubt, that I was meant to be by his side.
We spent the rest of the evening planning, and discussing strategies and tactics, our minds working in perfect harmony. He told me of his vision for a world where darkness and light existed in balance, where order was maintained not through tyranny but through the harmonious coexistence of all creatures, great and small. It was a beautiful vision, one that I found myself unable to resist. everything that I was told as a little girl was all lies, of how all creatures were evil and wanted to take over the kingdom, how they wanted to enslave all humans and use us as their salves,
As the night wore on, I felt my body begin to change, to adapt to the new role I was to play. My senses sharpened, my strength increased, and I felt a newfound confidence flow through my veins. He watched me, his eyes full of pride and admiration, as if he had created something truly wondrous. And in a way, he had. he has shown me what true love is like, what a real ruler looks like, someone who cares about all creatures of all kinds. how passionate he is when it comes to war planning and strategies. and more importantly how he truly cares about me and my well-being.
We stepped out into the night, the cool air rushing past us as we made our way through the darkened gardens. The stars twinkled above us, casting a soft, ethereal glow across the sky. I could feel the power coursing through my veins, the knowledge that I was truly unstoppable. We came to a clearing, where a massive stone altar stood, its surface etched with ancient symbols.
"Here," he said, gesturing toward the altar. "It is time."
As I stepped forward, my heart racing with anticipation and fear, I reached out and touched the ancient symbols etched into the stone. They pulsed with an unearthly energy, like the beating heart of the world itself. The power flowed through me, filling every cell of my being, and for a moment, I felt like I was one with everything.
"Are you ready my love? to tie yourself with me for eternity. for standing by my side, in sickness and health, following me in war and ruling the kingdom with me til death do us apart?" Charles asks me/
" Are you asking me to marry you charles cuz it seems like you are?" I ask as a smile makes it way on my face
"I sure as hell am ma cheri, so what do you say will u take my hand and marry me?" Charles asks me
" yes, yes a thousand times yes" I cried out
He placed his hand on top of mine, their energies intertwining, and together we began to chant an ancient language I had never heard before. The words tumbled from our lips like liquid fire, their power resonating throughout the night. As we continued, the air around us began to shimmer and warp, distorting reality itself.
The altar shuddered beneath our touch, its surface glowing with an intense light that seemed to come from within. I felt as if the very fabric of existence was unraveling, as if the world were giving birth to something new and terrifyingly beautiful. My body tingled with power, my senses on edge, anticipating what would come next.
As we continued to chant, the shimmering distortion around us grew more intense, becoming a whirling vortex of energy. The air seemed to hum with anticipation, the sound of it vibrating through my very bones. It was as if the universe itself were holding its breath, waiting for what we would create.
Suddenly, with a blinding flash of light, the vortex collapsed in on itself. The world tilted, spinning dizzyingly, and when my vision cleared, everything was different. The familiar gardens were gone, replaced by a vast, endless plain of shimmering gold. The sky was no longer the deep, starry void I had known, but a vast expanse of swirling colors, like a living, breathing painting.
"It is done," he said, his voice echoing across the new world. "The veil between the mortal realm and the realm of the gods has been pierced. The old world is gone, and a new one has been born. We are its creators, its rulers, its gods. and it is time we take back what truly belongs to us ."
As I stepped back from the altar, I looked around in awe at the breathtaking landscape that stretched out before us. The endless plain of gold shimmered in the light, the soft, undulating hills seeming to dance with life. In the distance, a massive mountain range rose like a sleeping giant, its snow-capped peaks sparkling in the sunlight. The sky above us was a living canvas, a swirling masterpiece of color and light.
He turned to me, his eyes alight with the same wonder that I felt. "This is our world now," he said, his voice full of reverence. "Our creation. We can shape it as we see fit, and rule over it as we desire. We are the gods of this realm, and our power is limitless. with you by my side my love we can concur about anything together" Charles says as he lays a kiss on my forehead as we hold ourself together, soaking the moment in.
I nodded, unable to find the words to express the awe and responsibility I felt. The world spread out before us, a blank canvas on which we could paint our dreams and desires. It was a terrifying thought, but also the most exhilarating one I had ever experienced.
Together, we wandered through our new realm, exploring the endless expanse of golden fields and the towering mountain ranges that seemed to touch the very heavens. The air was alive with energy, a palpable sense of possibility that made my heart race with anticipation. Every step we took, every breath we took, was a testament to our power, to the incredible gift we had been given.
As the days turned into weeks, we began to establish our rule over the world. We created new lands and seas, populated them with creatures both familiar and fantastic. We watched as civilizations rose and fell, as empires were built and destroyed. We guided our subjects with the gentle touch of our hands, shaping their lives and destinies as if they were clay in our grasp.
But even as we reveled in our power, we were reminded of the fragility of our world. The balance we had so carefully maintained could be easily upset, and the consequences could be disastrous. There were forces at work in the cosmos, ancient and terrible, that sought to destroy what we had created. We knew that we would have to be vigilant, to use our power wisely, if we were to protect our new world from the darkness that threatened to engulf it.
And so, we continued on our journey, forever bound by our shared destiny. Side by side, we faced the challenges and triumphs that came with our godhood, our fingers forever entwined in the tapestry of fate. For we were the creators, the rulers, the gods of this world, and it was our responsibility to ensure its survival.
As the years passed, we watched as our creation grew and changed, evolving into something far greater than we could have ever imagined. We saw empires rise and fall, wars waged and peace brokered. We witnessed the birth of new species and the extinction of others. We guided our people through times of plenty and times of famine, through wars and plagues and other trials that tested their mettle.
But with each passing century, the threat of the ancient forces that sought to destroy our world grew stronger. We could feel their malevolent presence like a dark shadow looming on the horizon, ready to strike at any moment. We knew that we would have to take action to protect what we had created, to safeguard our world from the encroaching darkness. I could feel it within me, I could sense it something was coming something from the past, something evil is coming/
We gathered our most trusted advisors and generals, our wisest sages and bravest warriors, and together we devised a plan. We would summon an army of legendary heroes, beings of immense power and courage, to stand beside us in the coming battle. We would forge alliances with other gods, both powerful and benevolent, and together we would face the darkness head-on.
As the day of the final battle drew near, we prepared ourselves for the ultimate sacrifice. We knew that we might not survive the onslaught of the ancient forces, but we were determined to give our all to protect our world. We stood side by side, our fingers intertwined, our power flowing through us like a living force. We felt the weight of the world upon our shoulders, and we accepted it as our burden to bear.
Our allies, gods and heroes from far-flung realms, gathered around us. Each one brought with them a unique strength, a special gift that would aid us in the coming conflict. We exchanged words of encouragement and promises of victory, our voices carrying across the battlefield like a symphony of hope.
As the forces of darkness closed in, we raised our hands toward the sky, channeling our power into a single, unstoppable force. A blinding light filled the air, casting long shadows across the land. The earth trembled beneath our feet as we prepared to meet the enemy head-on. As I and Charles held hands looking into each other's eyes as if saying everything will be fine and I love you before turning to everyone around us.
Our allies formed a circle around us, their weapons at the ready. The air was thick with tension, the anticipation of battle palpable. The enemy forces, an army of twisted and monstrous creatures, howled in fury as they charged toward us, their dark energies swirling about them like a malevolent storm. and standing amongst them the queen I had a long time ago served once looking at me and Charles interwind hands and the power that emitted from us with a look of rage and revenge in her eyes.
As the first ranks of the enemy closed in, we met them with a furious counterattack. Our power surged through us, amplified by the strength of our allies. Swords clashed, spells were cast, and arrows flew in every direction. The ground shook beneath the weight of the battle, and the skies filled with the cries of the wounded and the dying.
Our most trusted heroes, imbued with our power, led the charge against the enemy general, the queen. A towering figure, clad in armor forged from the darkness itself, stood atop a hill, its eyes glowing with hatred. It raised its massive sword, preparing to deliver a death blow to our forces.
The heroes fought their way through ranks of lesser creatures, their blades flashing like meteors through the night. As they neared the queen, the darkness seemed to swirl around it, feeding off the fear and despair of the battlefield. Our heroes knew that they would have to act swiftly, for the queens 's power grew with each passing moment.
The battle raged on, with neither side willing to give an inch. The tide of battle ebbed and flowed, as our forces struggled against the relentless onslaught of the enemy. Our power, channeled through the heroes, was the only thing that kept us from being overwhelmed.
As the heroes closed in on the queen, they could feel the weight of its presence bearing down upon them. The darkness seemed to coalesce around it, feeding off the fear and despair that filled the air. They knew that they had to act swiftly, or the queen would grow too powerful to defeat.
With a final surge of determination, they hurled themselves at the queen, their weapons flashing in the night. The air crackled with the force of their attacks, as they sought to break through the queen's defenses. The ground shook beneath their feet, and the clash of steel on steel echoed across the battlefield.
As they fought, they could feel the queen's power pressing down upon them, threatening to overwhelm them. The darkness swirled around them, seeking to consume their very souls. But they refused to give in, for they knew that the fate of their world hung in the balance.
With a final, desperate thrust, their blades found purchase in the queen's armor. With a cry of triumph, they pushed forward, driving their weapons deeper into her vulnerable flesh. The darkness writhed and twisted, trying to tear them apart, but their determination was unyielding.
As the queen's strength waned, the tide of battle began to turn. Our forces, emboldened by their heroes' victory, surged forward, pushing back the ranks of the enemy. Slowly, but surely, they were driven back, their dark energies fading as the light of hope began to pierce the gloom.
The air grew clearer as the last of the enemy fled before us, their tails between their legs. Our allies, gods and heroes alike, congratulated one another on a hard-fought battle. They looked to us, the two who had given them their power, and bowed their heads in gratitude. We returned their gestures with solemn smiles, knowing the weight of the responsibility that now lay upon our shoulders.
The bodies of the slain littered the field, a grim reminder of the cost of victory. Our heroes, bloodied and weary, helped one another to their feet, their armor dented and their weapons nicked. They surveyed the carnage around them, their expressions a mix of determination and sadness.
Our allies, gods and mortals alike, began the arduous task of tending to the wounded and burying the dead. They spoke in hushed tones of the sacrifice that had been made, and the fragile peace that now hung in the balance. We, too, felt the weight of responsibility settling upon our shoulders as we considered the road that lay ahead.
The queen's body, now lifeless and twisted, was left where it had fallen. her armor, once a symbol of fear and oppression, was taken as a trophy of our victory. The darkness that had once been its ally now fled from it, seeking new hosts to inhabit.
Our heroes, weary but proud, returned to our camp, their minds filled with thoughts of the battle they had just fought and the challenges that still lay ahead. They spoke of the bravery of their allies and the skill of their own hands, each one trying to downplay their own role in the victory while exaggerating that of the others.
We, as their leaders, listened carefully to their words, knowing that the strength of their bonds would be tested in the days to come. We considered the path that lay before us, and the choices we would have to make. To pursue the remaining forces of the enemy, to try and root out the source of their power and end this conflict once and for all, or to consolidate our gains and focus on rebuilding our shattered world.
As the night wore on, the camp slowly began to settle. The fireflies danced through the air, their flickering lights casting a warm, golden glow upon the faces of our heroes as they sat together, swapping stories of their past victories and commiserating over their losses. The sounds of laughter and music drifted through the air, a welcome relief from the tension of battle.
The two heroes, weary from their ordeal, retired to their tent, the flaps drawn closed behind them. They lay on their makeshift bed, staring up at the canvas ceiling, their minds replaying the events of the day. They talked in low voices, debating the best course of action for the future.
"I'm so glad everything went to plan my love" Charles spoke as he turned his body to face me.
" as long as I'm with you everything will be alright my love," I say as I turn and look into Charles's eyes with love in them.
" thank you, Charles," I say
" for what ma cheri?" he asks me pulling my body towards him as he places my head on his chest and places a gently kiss to my head.
" for saving me from the queen. for showing me what true love is. and showing me a whole new world in a new prospective" I whispered to him as I looked up into his eyes.
"I should be thanking you darling as you have saved me from spiraling into a dark hole and for loving me as I am and agreeing to be my wife, my queen," Charles says as his eyes flicker from my eyes to my lips.
slowly he closes the gap between us and kisses me with love and passion while holding onto me.
The night was quiet, save for the occasional rustle of fabric or the murmur of a guard's voice outside. The stars twinkled brightly in the velvet sky, their light casting a soft, ethereal glow over the camp. The air was cool and crisp, carrying with it the scent of smoke and the earthy aroma of newly turned soil.
Our heroes, their minds still reeling from the events of the day, found it difficult to sleep even as they lay together. They tossed and turned, their thoughts spiraling around the weighty decisions that lay ahead. They knew that the choice they made would have far-reaching consequences, not just for their people, but for the entire world.
The stars continued to twinkle in the night sky, seemingly unconcerned with the fate of mortals. A soft breeze rustled the canvas walls of the tent, bringing with it the scent of the nearby river. The sounds of the camp outside were a constant background hum, like the steady beat of a heart.
Our heroes, their eyes fixed on the canvas ceiling, continued to debate the merits of their options. They considered the advice of their trusted advisors, the pleas of their people, and the consequences of their decisions. The weight of responsibility was palpable, pressing down on their chests like an anchor.
Outside the tent, the camp slowly began to stir. The guards changed shifts, their boots thudding against the soft earth. A cookfire flared up, the aroma of breakfast wafting through the air. The sounds of conversation and movement grew louder, a testament to the life and activity that still persisted despite the day's events.
Our heroes, their minds made up, sat up in their beds, their faces set in determined expressions. They glanced at each other, nodding slightly in agreement. The choice had been made. They would pursue the remaining forces of the enemy, to root out the source of their power and end this conflict once and for all.
for as long as they have each other, nothing can stop them.
well, one thing that may change everything and cause Charles to be extremely more protective of y/n was not knowing she was pregnant with his child.

You glided through the trees alongside your team, adrenaline running through your veins.
Kicking yourself off a tree, you landed your body with ease onto a lone Titan spotted in the forest below you. With a swift swing of the blade, the Titan was on the ground.
Finished, you zipped yourself back into the air, joining your team member's formation as you all flew together.
"Y/N!" Captain Levi shouted, resent dripping off of his words. Here we go again. "Do not deviate from original course! We are here to scout, not to thrill seek."
The team came to a slow. They stood on the branches, overlooking the land beneath them.
"I was not thrill seeking, sir, I was doing my job," you defended, turning to Captain Levi. Though he was shorter than you were, his cold stare and unwavering demeanor intimidated you.
"Your job is to follow my orders, brat, not go off wandering like an idiot!"
"I didn't wander, I was quick to regroup! You're just finding a reason to take your anger out on me," you retorted. "Then again, I wouldn't be surprised. Considering your height, it's no wonder you can barely contain your anger in such a small body."
As much as he wanted to push you off the tree, Levi kept his poise.
By now the team could hear you and Levi's bickering, but considering they were used to it, they decided to butt out and focus on planning the route.
"Stable duty when we get back."
And then he walked away, leaving you fuming.
As you continued with the scouting mission, you encountered too many Titans that you couldn't just brush them off. Angry and left with no choice, Levi shouted orders to forget the original plan and fight back.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted two Titans approaching Jean and Armin with intent. You narrowed your eyes. This was your chance. You bolted off the tree, flying fast towards the two Titans. You got your gear out, ready to slice their napes, when one of the Titans looked your way, a sick smile on its face.
"Y/N!" Armin called out in a panic as the Titan extended its arm, swiping at you like a fly. Before its hand could collide with you, you were pushed out of the way by none other than Levi.
He wrapped his arms around you securely, one underneath your bottom and his other around your back. You heard him whisper a profanity, his hot breath fanning your neck as he spoke. Though it wasn't the time or the place, you couldn't help but let your mind wander.
You were brought back to reality when Levi glided deeper into the forest, setting you down onto the ground harsher than necessary.
Totally caught off guard, your back was shoved against a tree. Levi was quick to block your exits, predicting you would try to resist.
His arms caged you between him and the tree, leaving little to no distance between your bodies. You could feel your face get hot, either out of embarrassment or his body heat mixing with yours.
"What the hell is wrong with you, brat?!" Yelled Levi, eyes wild with rage. However, something felt different about this compared to when he scolded you for separating from the group. But you couldn't quite put your finger on it.
"Me?" You scoffed. "You're the crazy psycho who stole me away and cornered me in this forest!" You pushed at his chest, successfully shoving him off of you. "I had everything under control."
"You were almost killed! I can't have reckless people on my team. I'm a captain, not a babysitter, so get your shit together or get the hell off my team."
You stood against the tree quietly, Levi's venomous words stunning you into silence. Levi continued to stare deep into your eyes, his expression never changing. However, as the seconds passed, you saw a sliver of regret in his eyes, lasting only for a mere second.
You took a deep breath, trying to choose your words carefully. "I- Just.. Why do you hate me so much?"
Levi raised a brow while you continued to speak.
"I know I'm not the best fighter. Not compared to Misaka or Eren. But what did I do to deserve so much hatred from you? Even when I'm not doing anything wrong, you look at me like I'm the most disgusting person you've seen."
Despite feeling a sting of guilt at your words, Levi put on a dismissive act. "Tch, you're being dramatic. I'm not about to discuss this with you."
Why the fuck did he say that?
"Maybe if you listened to me for two damn seconds you wouldn't get such an earful."
Why is he being such an asshole? Gods, just tell them already. Stop this bullshit.
No longer finding it in you to care, you began to raise your voice, angry tears spilling down your face. "I try my best to make you like me. I try to show you that I'm capable and strong, but you still treat me as if I'm inferior. Like my skills are nothing. Like I'm nothing."
Emotionless, Levi replied, "Because you are. Look at you. You're a crybaby. You should've stayed back." Lies. All lies.
"Ugh- well maybe you should've just let me get killed since you despise me so much!"
With that, you grab your gear and zip away as far from Levi as possible, tears blowing out of your face and into the wind.
"Hey, where are you going?!"
You ignored him as you continued to speed through the trees, searching for your team. Your friends. Anybody.
"Y/N! Look out!"
You heard Eren shout, making you spin around frantically to search for the danger.
There it was.
An Abnormal ran your way, crawling like a dog on its hands and feet.
It had been chasing the team for a while now, evident in its animalistic, hungry look.
Steadily hanging off a branch, you watch the Titan from afar, then look back at the team.
"I'll distract it! You guys go!"
They looked at you as if you had grown two extra heads.
"You'll die!" Mikasa argued. "We can take it!"
"Just go!"
The Titan started to get closer. The team looked behind you, then back at you. Though they looked ready and determined to take it down, you knew they felt as terrified as you were. Fighting Titans was just something you don't think you'll ever get used to.
"Please be careful. We're gonna find Captain Levi!"
You nodded, then turned around, watching as the Titan ran towards you, totally disregarding the rest of the team.
"You want me? Come get me."
When you decided it was close enough, you darted into the forest and soared through the trees, only narrowly missing them. The Abnormal followed you, but hit itself on the trees and destroyed many in the process.
While the Abnormal continued to run through the forest, leaves and trees blocking its direct vision of you, you took a chance and turned back, flying past the Abnormal.
You did a quick u-turn and hopped onto its back.
You got it now.
As it chased after nothing, completely unaware, you slashed the nape of its neck.
With you still on its back, the Titan went limp mid-jump, falling onto the ground hard enough to create an earthquake. Unprepared for the collision, you went flying off its body.
Instead of bracing yourself for the fall, you frantically reached for your gear in an attempt to glide back up to the trees.
Before you got the chance, your body met with the ground, a loud thud echoing from the impact.
In the distance, the rest of the team continued to fight until they got to the very last Titan. Levi, though he was the last to regroup, helped effectively take down the Titans.
It wasn't evident in his stoic expression, but he searched among his surroundings and the faces of his team for you, afraid the worst had happened. Dammit, why did he have to be such an asshole? What Levi said to you, he meant none of it. But he feared he wouldn't get the chance to tell you that. Idiot.
"Is everybody here?!" Levi shouted as his team gathered around him.
"Yeah, we're alive-"
"Wait, where's Y/N?"
The team began to search among themselves, now becoming anxious as well.
"Well, where are they? Did you not see them at all?" Levi asked in a calm tone, despite his heart beat pounding in his ears. No. He wasn't going to slip up. Not here, not now. He needed to remain strong.
Mikasa spoke up. "We last saw them when we were being chased by an Abnormal! They offered to distract it and take care of it themselves."
Levi shouted, a crack in his voice, "And you let them?!"
"Y/N is strong! One of the best fighters we have here," Eld said. "They've probably already taken it down by now."
"Then where are they?!" Levi growled, becoming more frustrated by the second.
"Hey, look!" Armin yelled, shaking his finger towards the steam in the distance. "Eld was right! Y/N did kill it after all!"
Wasting no more time, Levi commanded the team to follow him. Soon again, they were up in the trees, running your direction. They stopped as soon as they came across a clearing in the forest where the Abnormal laid lifelessly.
"Everyone! Find Y/N!"
The team split, searching the area for any sign of you.
Levi dreaded the thought of finding you like they found the Titan. No. You killed it. You had to be alive.
Levi repeated that in his head. You had to be alive.
Because if you weren't, he wouldn't know what he would do.
Your eyes shot open at the sound of panicked screams echoing around you. You pushed yourself off of the ground in a rush, only to stumble back with an agonizing scream, pain shooting up the lower half of your body.
"Fucking hell! Oh shit," you fell back on the grass defeatedly, hot tears welling in your eyes at the intense pain and aches across your whole body. "Dammit!"
You didn't know which bones were broken, where you were, if you were bleeding out. So you just laid there alone, helpless and numb. Waiting.
Just when the team was beginning to lose hope, a blood curdling scream echoed throughout the forest, easily catching the team's attention. They headed towards the source of the sound, but Levi was the first on it, already sprinting through the forest to find you.
When he did, he felt his heart drop down to his stomach. You laid in a small clearing behind some old trees and bushes, a puddle of blood beneath your body. Your uniform was torn and your 3DMG was rendered useless at this point. If not for the scream, or the fast rise and fall of your chest, he would've mistaken you for being dead.
Levi rushed to your side and got onto his knees, lifting up your body into his arms.
"Y/N? Can you hear me? Y/N?"
You coughed, wheezing and struggling to make a coherent sound. Blood dripped down the corner of your mouth as you spoke, "You were right, Captain. I never stood a chance, did I?Shoulda just stayed." You laughed pitifully.
Now Levi was angry, but not at you. "Shut up! Don't say stupid shit like that! You're going to be okay."
The team found you, stopping short at the sight of Levi holding you carefully, like a porcelain doll, ready to break.
He didn't care anymore. He didn't bother to put up a front. Not when you were like this, half dead in his arms. He pressed his forehead to yours, whispering in your ear so only you could hear.
"I can't lose you too.."
Everyone else only continued to watch the intimate scene unfold before them.
When you fell unconcious, Levi squeezed his eyes shut, trying his best to keep his composure. Why was he acting like this? Usually he would be quick to solve problems without letting his feelings get in the way. Why was he so helpless now?
He turned around, scowling at the group who just stood by idly.
"Get over here and help them, you fools!"
You hated it. You hated having to be looked after or saved like a princess in a children's storybook. You didn't want to run away anymore, or simply stand in waiting, hoping for someone to rescue you. You were done being hunted. So you joined the Scouts after years of hard work and training. If you had only thought more carefully or put your parent's advice in consideration, you wouldn't be in your current situation, regretting ever joining Levi's team. You wouldn't have ended up in the infirmary.
You passed out in Levi's arms after suffering from injuries during your fight with the Abnormal Titan, according to your friends. They came by to visit you when the medic alerted them that you had woken up from your coma.
"How long was I out for?" You winced as you massaged your still pounding head. "When did I even get here?"
"You've been unconcious for two days. We retreated to the city as Captain Levi instructed and you've been under their care since," Eren answered. He noticed your demeanor as you looked around the room and picked at your skin, a nervous habit you recently formed. "Everybody's alive, so don't you worry."
"Where are they?"
"Well, they did have to receive medical attention since they got hurt, but they're okay! They miss you, ya know?" Armin said excitedly. "We'll make sure to fill you in on everything when you're out of here."
You pursed your lips. "Speaking of which, when will I be discharged?"
"You can't exactly walk right now, but.. you should be up and ready to go within a week! Then we can go on another mission and-"
"Eren. Armin. Mikasa." Your attention was torn away from Eren, your eyes darting towards the source of the voice.
"Captain Levi!" They all exclaimed in unison.
"I would like to speak with Y/N in private." He glanced at trio, his eyes narrowing. "Out."
The three walked out, heads bowed like sad little puppies. You waved at them as they went before turning to Levi who now stood by your bed.
"What do you want?" You asked bitterly, nose scrunching up in a sneer.
"Commander Erwin informed me of your decision," he spoke softly, differing from his usual cold tone.
You huffed. "Yeah, took your advice and resigned. You won't have to worry about babysitting me anymore."
A pang of guilt shot through Levi's heart, causing him to flinch. He hoped you didn't catch that.
He remembered his own regretful words as it replayed in his head. Just like your cries and pained expression, which he was unable to simply brush off, he couldn't forget how he mistreated you. And he would never forgive himself, either. The sight of your injured body laying there, all alone. He couldn't shake the scene off his mind, no matter how hard he tried. Even in his dreams.
Evident in his eyebags that seemed to have darkened in shade, he wasn't able to get much sleep the past couple days because of it.
"I take it you hate me, then," Levi suggested, prompting you to laugh mockingly.
"Oh, no, I could never," you said, sarcasm dripping off your voice as you fake fawned over Levi. "Levi Ackerman, Humanity's Strongest.. I just adore you."
Levi hid his offended expression and ignored your antics as he continued. "I was afraid I couldn't get the chance to apologize to you. When I found you there, I.." He squeezed his eyes shut and furrowed his brows together, forcing his tears not to fall. Why now?
"Yeah, well, you fucked up. About time you feel a little heartache," you mumbled, looking around the room, anywhere but Levi.
"A little?! Look, I'm trying to apologize here!" He shouted. "Do you have no idea how fucking terrified I've been for you, you brat?!"
"No, Captain Levi, so why don't you enlighten me on how much you care?!" You huffed, crossing your arms. "Because if you did, then maybe I wouldn't be bed ridden!"
Levi's face softened at the sight of a single tear escaping your eye. He took a seat on the bed beside you and reached out to brush away your tear.
With your quick reflexes, you caught his hand and pushed it back towards him.
"Don't you dare touch me. You've done enough damage, Levi. Just go and stop wasting my time."
Just like you, he was stubborn. He stood his ground.
"I-I'm sorry."
You let out an exasperated sigh. "You must think I'm stupid. No way I'm buying that bullshit."
"You need to stop pushing me away, Y/N!"
"What is that, an order?" You taunted. "You don't get to be sorry, Levi. It's too late for that. You waited for me to almost die just to tell me that? Is that what it takes? What if I hadn't survived? What then?"
"You don't think I haven't thought about that?! That's why I'm here!"
"Yeah, and who's fault is that?"
"You should've listened to me! I was trying to protect you!"
"Well thanks a lot. Now both my kneecaps are broken and I won't be able to walk for weeks!" You shake your head. "You think just because we shared a moment while I was dying that I'm okay now? Trust me, if I had the strength, I would have slapped you then and there."
"Then why don't you now?"
"At this point, you're not even worth getting angry over. So stop giving me that pitiful look. I really prefer you shouting at me instead. At least I'm used to it." You mumble the last part, but Levi catches it easily.
"That's it then, you leave me no choice." You look at Levi curiously. "You infuriate me, brat, you really do. You're so careless and oblivious all the time, you forget to look after yourself. And I'm not ready to watch you throw away your life so irrationally from the sidelines."
"So what are you trying to tell me, Levi?"
"Tch, you're just gonna make me say it, aren't you?" He takes a deep breath. "I'm not good at this, and I hate to admit it, to you of all people. It makes me mad to see you risk your life because I care about you.. and I can't lose you. I've dealt with too much death. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you alive, even if it means dying.." Levi trails off, then scoffs and crosses his arms like a petty little child. "I said it, all right? I like you-- A lot, you stupid brat!"
You searched Levi's eyes for any trace of dishonesty. You hoped he was lying, like he had some sort of script prepared before he came to see you. But you found no lies in his eyes.
You felt your heart break. All this time when you thought Levi just really hated you, he was looking out for you.
"I.. Why didn't you just tell me?" Your voice fell apart as you spoke. "I tried so hard to make you like me back.. And it hurt because I thought you just hated my guts. I had no idea."
"I know, I was being stupid too- It shouldn't have come to this," Levi admitted. "I.. I'll let you rest now."
Levi stood up to leave, but you were quick to pull him back onto the bed with you. Without letting him react, you grabbed his face and interlocked your lips with his. All the tension in his body disappeared and he melted into the kiss, throwing his arms around you tightly like he'd lose you if he ever let go. It wasn't a soft, romantic, movie perfect kiss. It was desperate, tongue and teeth, hands wandering, disheveling the other's hair. You released all of your built up anger and resent, letting it fuel you while you aggresively fought your tongue with his, a faint taste a hint of alcohol now on your own mouth. Occasionally you'd both break the kiss for short intakes of breath and small whispers like 'don't scare me like that again' and 'I've needed this for a while now'. You couldn't help but moan, earning a grin from Levi as he continued to hungrily devour your lips. Just as things escalated, you remembered you were still in the infirmary, and anyone could walk in any minute now. You slowly pulled away, your chest heaving as you panted for breath.
Levi couldn't help but twist his lips up into a little smirk. That was new.
"Well at least you're not a bad first kisser," he spoke nonchalantly, still gasping for air. You playfully punched him in the chest.
"Quite the romantic, aren't you?" You rolled your eyes but couldn't stop yourself from smiling like an idiot. "You're not bad either, old man."
Blush spread across his cheeks.
He took your hand in his, bringing it to his swollen and raw lips and placed a small kiss on your knuckles.
"Promise me you won't leave me again?"
"Promise," you sighed blissfully. "And I guess I'll have to tell Commander Erwin about my change of plans."
"Actually," a deep voice spoke. At the door, there stood none other than Commander Erwin. "I think I already know."

"Excellent work, the First Order's work on light speed tracking will be extremely valuable if we can crack their hextacryption. Go ahead and return to base." Leia's voice crackled over the holodisplay.
"General, I thought I was assigned to Coruscant permanently." You said, your eyebrows pursed in concern.
Leia chuckled. "I wish we had the money to keep you there permanently. Come back to base and the team will decide where your next deployment will be. May the Force be with you." The gray-haired woman bowed her head and the holodisplay vanished.
You stuffed the holoprojector in your back pocket as your chest tightened. You blinked several times, trying to force your emotions to sort themselves out.
Speeders, cargo ships, and public transports zoomed outside your tiny hotel room viewport. For a moment, it struck you how every one of those creatures in every one of those vehicles had a life as rich and flawed as your own.
Your mind wandered to Poe Dameron; lost somewhere in the stars so very far away from you. Your fingers absentmindedly grazed over the top of your wrist and for a fleeting moment, you were able to convince yourself it was Poe's hand on your skin.
The communicator on the nightstand beeped, pulling you from your delusion, and resounded, "Transport arriving at 21:04."
Taking a steadying breath, you looked once more over the hotel room that had become your home during your work on the city planet. Your mind filled with memories of nights not too long past; how your body had curled into the thin sheets and how violently your fingers had clenched the pillow tucked to your chest. Flashes of nightmares zipped through your mind as did the many nights spent with your heart drowning in tears and alcohol.
A deep loneliness washed over you, pushing your heart to jump and yelp against your rib cage.
Your eyes felt heavy and hot tears pricked at the sides of them as you began to gather your clothes from the small closet in the corner of the room. Haphazardly stuffing them in your rucksack, your mind did not have to work hard to envelop you completely.
Ripped from some hiding spot deep within, the memory of Poe's hand on your back sending shivers across your skin, now spun on display in the front of your thoughts. His smile beaming in the sunlight. How soft his lips were on your cheek every morning, the sweet must of your bodies intertwined. The wave of his hair curling away from his face. The fire in his eyes and in his footsteps.
The feelings still living inside of you for Poe Dameron; so long harbored and so long neglected, moved with a fury to invigorate your feeble heart. Beating against your chest, the muscle threatened to shatter all over again.
Reality reminded you of the last time you had seen the pilot; the red rings around his deep brown eyes and his hand tracing his lips, frustrated. How hot the fire inside your chest had burned, how utterly defeated you had felt. How the feeling of your words, heavy as stones in your mouth, still filled you with regret.
The way his face had twisted in pain, how taken aback he was. Poe, for as much as you loved him, could never seem to hear you out. In his mind, he felt that he could make things the way he wanted them to be, just by his sheer will and determination. To him, Poe Dameron was the end all, be all of his own destiny. And, to an extent, he was right, but when it came to other people he struggled with the notion that to have them in his life, it meant he actually had to have them in his life.
You dropped your head to your chest and wiped a warbling tear from your eye.
One of your favorite shirts wrapped around your hand; absentmindedly you had strangled it.
You stuffed the shirt into your bulging bag and zipped it closed.
Taking a deep breath, you flicked your eyes to the clock on your bedside table.
'21:03' It displayed. Swallowing against a dry throat, you picked your rucksack up from the floor and left your hotel room, the lock clicking firmly behind you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You didn't know what you expected to feel, coming back to Base after months away, but it wasn't this.
You sat upright in the pilot's chair of your ship, your back straight against the cushion behind you and your knees pushed tightly together. Nausea rose in the back of your throat and you had to force it back down.
The Resistance Base came into view and your heart leapt from your chest and into your hands. Your fingertips seemed to glow, drunk on a cocktail of adrenaline and anxiety. Your own words echoed around your mind, 'I think that it's best if you just leave me alone.' 'When I'm with you, I can't stop myself from trying to pretend that I don't feel the way I do.'
'Do I still feel that way?' You interrupted yourself.
Mindlessly, your fingers began to prep the landing sequence.
'I'll have to see him. I can be civil. I'm sure I was just being dramatic.'  Your eyes settled over the Resistance flight techs moseying in your direction, half hoping to recognize a face on one of them.
Taking a deep breath and hurrying through the ship to gather your things, you met the landing dock as it lowered to the ground beneath you. You nodded a greeting and smiled softly to the techs hurrying towards your ship, asking if you needed fuel or repairs.
A familiar astromech droid's beeping pulled your attention to your shin.
You smiled broadly at the little orange and white ball droid, squealing as you bent down to rub his sides. "BB-8!" You exclaimed. "Oh, I missed you buddy!"
The droid moved back and forth excitedly and beeped rapidly, firing off a story just too important not to tell you.
You nodded, fully unaware of what he was saying, but happy to see him so happy nonetheless. The droid finished his spewing and began to whir back to the compound, towards the one person you did not want to see, you assumed.
"BB-8!" You called, not wanting to hurt the little droid's feelings by abandoning him. "I'm going to find Leia."
The droid's visual receptor widened and then narrowed. His system was processing why you didn’t choose the most logical thing to do after being away from Poe for so many months.
You smiled gently at the droid and headed towards the bustling Base entrance. Resistance members hurried past you, chatting to each other, pointing harshly with eyebrows furrowed, and others laughing heartily.
The path through the D'Qar Base was easy and memorized, your boots clacking on the metallic floor below steadily. You shouldered your rucksack closer to you and squeezed through the frantic hallway. Nerves wrapped their hands around your stomach, flipping it over and over again. Your eyes scanned the hordes of people, unconsciously searching for the face of the Resistance's most valuable pilot. You made your way into the war room where you spotted Leia's heather gray hair hovering over a holodisplay table. Close by though, a familiar black mop of unruly curls moved from one side of the room to the other. His voice carried through the din and his finger pointed to something on the holodisplay.
Suddenly, your legs were planted where you stood. You could feel them tremble and your breathing hitch on it's way out. Half of you screamed, 'Run! Run!' and the other half felt as if it would never move again.
'Well, I can't very well run away now, people have seen me.'
Taking several short breaths in, you moved your gaze from Poe to Leia. Setting your shoulders back and sticking your chin out defiantly, you moved through the clusters of Resistance intel officers to General Organa.
She and Poe both had their backs to you, Poe still explaining his thoughts.
"General Organa." You said, your chest out proudly.
Leia turned to face you and her features softened.
At the sound of your voice, Poe whipped around from the star chart in front of him and his mouth gaped slightly.
You could feel how hot his gaze burned on your face, but you dared not to meet his eyes and satisfy him.
Leia greeted you and ran her hands up your forearms. "I'm so glad you're back safely. The intel you brought us was invaluable."
You smiled at her as your thoughts began to pound against your skull, 'Look at him, look at him, look at him.'
"Thank you, Leia." You answered.
"Poe," Leia began and turned to your ex-boyfriend.
Anxiety rose up in your chest and your eyes moved back and forth between the two of them frantically.
"Will you make sure your friend here makes it to her quarters alright? I can finish up here without you." She looked between the two of you with a knowing look on her face.
"Oh, General, that's not-" You began.
Leia held up a jewel-clad hand. "I'm sure you two have a lot to talk about."
Your eyes finally met Poe's and you could almost feel yourself tripping into them again.
Poe's face was set, his curiosity now turned to steeliness. He pulled his eyes from yours and looked down at his boots. His hands rested on his hips underneath his flightsuit, and the tension in his shoulders seemed to snap it's fangs at you. He looked up at you again, his chest beating shallowly, and then turned to walk down the corridor you had entered through. His frustration trailed after him, bouncing and wailing like a child pouting.
You clutched the strap of your bag and kept your head down, your eyes following the up and down of Poe's scuffed boots through the hallway.
He turned and lead you down a darkened corridor, and as well as you could remember, it was no longer used because of the unsafe door panel wiring.
Your eyebrows scrunched and you could feel a shudder in your chest as you realized why he had brought you this way. The best pilot in the Resistance wanted closure.
Poe's lean body turned around to face you. His bottom lip tucked into his mouth and his eyes scanned the hallway behind you, his senses heightened by the surprise of seeing you.
"Look," He began, his arms crossed over his chest. His voice was just as you remembered it. Just as you had heard it so many times before.
A burning desire to hear your name in his mouth again, to hear him shape you with his tongue, rose in your chest.
"We gotta talk about what happened. If you're gonna be here, I need to know how to be around you." His dark eyes had an unrelenting hold on yours. In the dim light of the hallway, shadows played across his face, painting him in darkness almost overwhelming.
"I don't know what you want me to say." You choked out. A muscle behind your eye twitched.
"Do you want me to not talk to you and avoid you in the halls or what? What do you want?" Poe's voice was laced with frustration. You could sense a deep melancholy in him and the anger guarding it carefully.
"No, Poe, I-" You sighed and tucked your shaking hands into your back pockets. "You don't have to do that."
"Then, what?" He spat. His arms flung outwards to emphasize the end of his question. He was trying to keep his voice quiet but his passion kept pushing him upwards.
"Why don't you tell me what you want." You said, his frustration frustrating you.
Poe chuckled indignantly. "What I want? What do I want?" He took a step back and turned from you. "Do you even remember what we were like?"
You gritted your teeth as you blinked hot tears away from your eyes. Of course, you remembered. The secret dates off-planet, the way he would run to wherever you were to give you a goodbye kiss before leaving on mission, no matter how quickly he needed to take off. How could you forget?
"I remember everything." You whispered.
Poe's face scanned over yours, searching for what you meant to say. His jaw set and his chest heaved shallowly. His head tilted to the side, looking at you. The skin around his eyes softened.
"Then...what happened?" He asked tenderly.
"I ...I loved you every day we were together." You admitted. The words nestled for so many months in your heart now taking off and flying on their own.
"It was real for me, whatever we were. But..." You shook your head, your eyes keeping Poe's hostage. "I don't think it was for you."
Poe reached a shaking hand out to touch your face. His skin kissed your cheek and your eyes shut involuntarily, a relief you didn't know you needed. "I never could read your mind, could I?" He chuckled lightly.
One side of your face turned upwards and your throat burned at the tears yanking at your eyes.
His thumb wandered to graze down your chin and then to rest around your jaw. "I missed you every day we were apart. I pretended like I didn't but...you never gave me a warning sign. I never understood what happened." His eyes fell to your lips and his body seemed to freeze in place there.
You shook your head and pulled yourself out of his ensnaring grasp. "Poe, I gave you every sign that I could. I told you every day, a million little times, that I was going to leave. You just didn't want to hear me."
The pilot sighed heavily and his eyes watered. "Can we just...try again? Do you," He sighed again and looked back up to your eyes. "Do you still feel the same way about me?"
You pulled your top lip into your mouth and drug it across your teeth, the pain a welcome release of the mounting pressure inside you. "We've both seen this Holofilm before, and neither of us liked the ending. It's time to let go." The harshness of your own words ripped your throat to shreds, but you kept your lips firmly shut.
"And what if I can't let go?" Poe asked, his tone clipping at the end of his unspoken deceleration. His body moved closer to yours and his wide palm reached to hold the small of your back.
Looking up into Poe’s hazel eyes and feeling his muscles tensing around your body again sent a wave of light-headedness through your mind.
"I think I can find my quarters on my own, Commander. Thank you for your help." Your voice broke as you pushed yourself out of Poe's grasp and headed towards the women's sleeping quarters. You kept your eyes trained on the ground below as you tainted it with hot tears, plopping and splashing against the cool metal of the Resistance base floor.
Facade | Quentin Beck x Reader
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2.2k Warnings: Far From Home spoilers and slightly obsessive/possessive/manipulative Quentin; implications of sex
When Quentin came up with his plan to become "the next Tony Stark", he knew he was missing something. And when he saw you, a chaperone for Peter Parker's class during their European field trip, he knew exactly what, well, who it was. He needed a damsel in distress. A companion. Someone to be on his arm on the red carpet. He needed someone to be the Pepper Potts to Tony Stark, the Bucky Barnes to Steve Rogers, the Wanda Maximoff to Vision.
His plan was quite simple actually. When he first saw you leading the students around, rolling your eyes at that weird teacher that kept talking about his ex-wife, he was captivated. He immediately used his drones and his cronies to find out everything about you. From your friends and family, to your job, to your mother's maiden name, to all your favorite things, your darkest secrets and all that good stuff. Then all he had to do was stage a "little accident" where you were and rescue you and put his acting skills to use.
The Water Elemental was great for this. You got yourself separated from the rest of your group to look for that kid Peter Parker. He was always running off whenever things were going bad and you and your favorite student, MJ had this theory that he was the friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man.
"Peter?!" You shouted as you ran down the cobblestone streets, feeling like a fish swimming upstream as you battled the swarm of people trying to escape.
"What the hell," you grumbled to yourself, questioning why you volunteered to chaperone a bunch of hormonal teenagers. All of a sudden, a huge wave enveloped you, pulling you into the river.
"This is not how I die!" you huffed as you tried to swim your way out of the watery mess. But the current was too strong. You felt yourself slowly getting pulled closer to the Elemental.
"Oh shi-"
You were cut off by someone grabbing you and the next thing you knew, you were flying in the air.
"I got you miss," a strangers deep voice whispered in your ear. You looked up at your savior and saw a magical Asgardian astronaut? You didn't actually know what was happening and you definitely didn't recognize him as one of the Avengers. He placed you on the roof of a building.
"I'll be back in a second," he remarks. You couldn't tell because of his fishbowl helmet thingy, but you were pretty damn sure he said that with a smirk. Entranced by this mysterious new hero, you stared in awe as he defeated the water monster with ease. He quickly returned to you and took off his helmet, revealing his face.
Damn. You thought to yourself. Why are all these superheroes super hot?
"Are you okay?" He asked you, his voice laced with concern.
"I'm completely soaked but I'm fine," you responded. You could feel his deep blue eyes penetrating you.
"It can't be," he murmured, staring at you in awe. "Y/N?"
"How-How do you know my name?" You questioned him, slowly backing away.
"Don't!" He begged. "It's just.." His voice faltered and he took a shaky breath. "You were my wife."
"I was what?!"
"Sorry, that was, I mean..." He let out an exasperated sigh. "Let me explain from the beginning. Please."
"Fine, but make it quick," you agreed. "I gotta get back to my group."
"My name is Quentin Beck. I'm from another Earth. Earth-833. The whole time-traveling and the Blip, all of that, it tore hole in the multiverse. And that's how these Elementals and I got here." He cautiously took a step towards you, not wanting to scare you off.
"You were my wife Y/N. In that Earth. But..." He trailed off once again.
"I died and you couldn't save me?"
He nodded solemnly. "Along with our kids. And the Fire Elemental, that was the one that destroyed my Earth." He closed the gap between the two of you, taking your hands.
"I swear, on my life, that I will protect you and this Earth."
"Quentin," you said, trying to console him. "I'm sorry about what happened, but I barely know you. I'm sorry," you said, pulling away.
"Please!" He exclaimed, desperate for your attention. "You may not know me, but I know you."
He launched into a full on speech, complete with personal details from your life, things only your closest friends and family knew about you. There was something about him, something that pulled you into a trance. He was mesmerizing. His charisma, his longing stares, his raw emotion drew you into his charm and you found yourself agreeing to a date later on that evening. He dropped you off at your hotel, pressed a soft kiss to your cheek and flew away saying, "I'll see you at seven!"
Your students gaped in awe and pestered you with questions. Even Flash was amazed and nearly fainted at the close proximity Mysterio was to him.
Eventually, seven o'clock came and Quentin met you outside your hotel wearing a button up with its sleeves rolled up, revealing his (very muscular) forearms.
He sure does clean up nice. You thought to yourself as he offered you his arm. You were wearing your favorite f/c dress that fell just above your knees.
"You look beautiful, Y/N," he breathed in your ear as he pulled you closer. "You always do."
All you could do was smile and blush at his simple yet sweet compliment. The two of you walked around the city of Venice, chatting the whole time. It seemed as though you'd known this man your entire life and you felt you could tell him anything. As you and Quentin sat on a bench continued to talk, a string quartet began to play some music. Quentin stood up and offered you his hand.
"May I have this dance?" He asked you with a shy smile.
"You may," you responded with a grin.
He pulled you a close and intimate slow dance and while it felt cliche at first, it felt as if you were the only two people on Earth. He eventually had to leave, saying that he had to meet with Fury and when you arrived back at your hotel, all you could do was smile as you replayed the night's events in your mind as you drifted off into a comforting sleep.
A couple days later in Prague, you lead your students into the opera house and sat in the back, missing Quentin. You hadn't seen him since your date but he texted you all time. Right before the opera began, you noticed MJ following Peter out of the opera house. Not wanting to lose your students, you followed them. You managed to catch up to MJ.
"What do you think you're doing?" You huffed, coming up behind her.
"Ms. L/N?!" She yelped. "I um, I was just...I needed a breath of fresh air?"
"I saw you follow Peter," you remarked.
"What? I totally was not, I definitely most certainly not following Peter because he's definitely up to something," she stammered in reply.
"I'll take care of him later MJ, but you need to go back to your classmates," you commented. "I know you have a crush on him but that doesn't mean-"
You were cut off by people's screams. You looked up and saw this fiery thing emerge and begin to destroy stuff.
"Okay, you definitely gotta go now," you quipped as you pushed in the direction of the opera house. "I'll find Peter." Again.
MJ rushed into an alley as you began to search for the child. "Why does he always gotta do this," you grumbled to yourself as you pushed past the frantic crowd. Suddenly what you assumed was the Fire Elemental was in front of you.
"Oh for heavens sake not again," you complained, bracing yourself for the worst. But, it never came. The next thing you knew, you were in Quentin's arms once again and he and some sticky guy in all black that claimed to be "Night Monkey" (and was suspiciously similar to Spider-Man) ended up beating the fiery creature.
Once the chaos dwindled, you found yourself in Quentin's hotel room, laying in his bed, wrapped in his arms.
"I don't know what I would've done if I lost you again Y/N," he confessed.
"But you didn't lose me," you responded with a small smile. "Thank you."
He captured you into a kiss, a kiss that quickly turned passionate as you ran your hands through his hair and clothes began to fly off. He encapsulated you into a deeper kiss, with you longing for his touch and you let your bodies melt into the night.
—————————-
You woke up in an empty bed, sunlight streaming in through the windows. You got out of the bed and wandered into the closet. You threw on one of his t-shirts and then you heard his voice.
"Oh, we're in the endgame now buddy!" You heard him exclaim. Curious, you moved closer to the sound of his voice.
"I've got our little Y/N wrapped around my finger. I can't believe she actually fell for that story. My fans are going to absolutely love this. Next thing you know, we're going to be the next Pepper Potts and Tony Stark. She's the perfect damsel in distress. I'll see you in a little bit so we can finish our London plans. Okay?"
Fell for his story? Damsel in distress? London? Your mind began to race. What was going on? You grabbed your phone and looked at it. You had several text messages from MJ and Peter, all claiming that Quentin wasn't who he said he was. That he faked all the attacks just so he could become a hero in the public's eye. It couldn't be true, could it? After all he did for you? Your heart pounded and a knot formed in your stomach. You didn't know what to think.
The door flew open and in walked Quentin.
"Hey baby, didn't expect you to be up so early," he exclaimed with a smile as he leaned in to kiss you. "Last night was amazing Y/N. I really think we should-"
You cut him off by pushing him away. "Stay away from me!" You croaked, your voice shaking slightly.
"What's wrong, baby?" He questioned, frowning at you.
"What's wrong? What's wrong is that you lied to me!" You hissed at him. "You used me! You pretended to be a hero!" You backed away from him even more. "But you're not."
His eyes darkened and his persona changed entirely. This was not the Quentin you had quickly fallen for. This was someone completely different. Someone dangerous.
"Stop it right there," he threatened, his voice low and deadly.
"I can't believe I fell for you," you seethed. "I honestly thought you were someone I could love. But it was just a facade. It was fake. And everyone's going to know it."
You made a run for the door but Quentin was quicker. He grabbed you by the waist and threw you onto the bed. He pulled out handcuffs from god knows where and cuffed you to the bed frame.
"Let me go!" You snapped at him. "Or else you'll really regret it."
"Enough!" He bellowed at you. "Now listen to me, sweetheart." His voice sent chills down your spine.
"I'm not the only one with skeletons in my closet," he sneered at you, as he stood up. "I know you're secretly a SHIELD agent and that your mission for Fury is to look over Spider-Man, who just happens to be your student, Peter Parker."
You gasped. He knew. He knew everything about you. You felt your heart drop as you knew what was coming next.
"Shut up, Beck," you growled.
"And I know you were a double agent for SHIELD and Hydra until Captain America took them down for a second time."
"I said, shut up!"
Yeah, it was true. You were a double agent. But only because your boyfriend back then, Grant Ward, convinced you to join. But when you saw Hydra for what it was, you turned on them, confessed to Fury your involvement and you were able to help take them down.
"So unless you want your little secret to get out into the world and if you want to protect your precious Parker, I suggest you listen to me," he commanded. Feeling as if you didn't have a choice, you pressed your lips together and glared at Quentin.
"Everything I felt for you was real Y/N," he declared. "You're the one for me. You're my soulmate. And you're going to be with me forever darling. Whether you like it or not. You're going to be my partner and we're going to be the next big power couple."
"Please, don't do this," you begged him, tears prickling at your eyes.
"That's too bad honey," he said with a sinister grin. "Because from now on, you're mine, Y/N. You're. Mine."
