I love me some Blutara, which is why I was so excited to take on this project on as an artist! Of course, I forgot that Blutara meant drawing the Blue Spirit mask multiple times when I’m not even fully used to digital art, but it worked out. Sokka let out a high-pitched sound of dismay before frantically wiping himself, spilling crumbs all over the floor. His sister smirked; Sokka’s chore was sweeping. She would not have to clean any of his mess.

Honestly , though, he turned sixteen just a couple of weeks ago. Was it too much to ask for him to not eat like a toddler?

“Don’t worry, Suki, I’m sure he’ll at least brush his teeth after this,” Toph teased.

“Hey!” Sokka yelped.

“It’s fine, Sokka,” Suki told him with a patient smile.

“I think Azula might have better manners than you, and she’s one of the rudest people I know,” Zuko remarked.

“I think you just took her place for “rudest” by comparing Sokka to her,” Katara laughed.

“At least he doesn’t reek of platypus-bear butt,” Toph chimed in.

As if to drive the point home, Momo swooped into the room, stuck his face into Zuko’s soup and slurped loudly, and perched on Sokka right after.

“See? Momo is on my side!” Sokka confirmed...

The voice...it’s familiar. Vaguely. It whispers just at the edge of his consciousness and as soon as his senses have a grasp on it...it slips away again. He sinks further into his pillow, willing sleep to take him back.

“Zuko. Don’t you remember me?”

Zuko stares uncomprehendingly at the word, vaguely familiar and painted in thick black ink on the palm of his hand. It hadn’t been there when he went to sleep.

ZK Big Bang Fic/Author Reveal!

on the sea we'd be forgiven (wouldn't you like to know how far you've got left to go)

Aaah I can't believe it! The day is here, and y'all, I've had THE most difficult time keeping my mouth shut. I started writing this fic back in March 2020, realized I didn't have a lot of motivation to write it, but decided to take the plunge and joined my first Big Bang since 2016. And I'm so happy I did!

I wanted to thank the wonderful @onetether and @heavensweetheart for beta-ing this fic and dealing with my annoying wishy-washy self. I probably gave them a million different completion dates and lied about my progress far more than I'd like to admit. Thank you both for being patient and wanting to work on my story! I truly appreciate it.

This thank you wouldn't be complete without mentioning the amazing artists I got to work with: @open-air-ways and @ecaworks ! I literally cannot believe you two wanted to work on my fic and I'm THRILLED at the art you created. I love it so much and thank you!

And last but not least, I want to give a shoutout to the mods of @zkbigbang for making this event happen! Y'all were so organized and put a lot of time and effort into this, so THANK YOU! This was seriously the easiest and most fun I've had working on a big bang.

I can't believe the ZK Big Bang anonymous period is already over! How is it already the middle of June?!?!?!?

Long post ahead as I have many people to love on.

Anyways I'm really excited to finally share this with all of you!! This is one of my longest fics to date, and I'm really proud of it. I set out to do something I hadn't seen before, and if nothing else, I did that.
