Jason generally likes all of the council, and all of the council likes him in turn because he makes Danny happy.

He met Frostbite first. Danny took him to the Far Frozen to get checked out and to be sure the Baby Ghost was healthy and stuff. Jason had been forewarned and honestly, by that point, yetis were just one of those 'yeah that tracks' moments for Jason. Jason asked Frostbite, as a joke, if he could give him a piggyback ride. Frostbite picked him up, plunked him on his shoulder and booked it. 10/10 Jason had the BEST time. Definitely his favorite doctor.

Clockwork he met next, and it basically went:

Clockwork: I see you found your knight young king.

Danny: Yeah, thanks for WARNING ME

Jason: Who the is this fucker?

Danny: imagine a grandpa given unlimited power over time but retaining the 'stay off my lawn' energy but towards the time stream.

Jason: Ah

Clockwork: Wonderful. Off you two go

He then yeeted (yote?) Them through a portal because a member of the Flash Fam had severely fucked the timestream doing speedster shit. Luckily CW had smashed a hat on Jason's head first and he was in human form so the Flash fam member didn't recognize him. They were a bit too occupied with Danny yelling at them for fucking up and ripping them out of the speed force. The Flash fam member bought them lunch. (This was not the first or last time CW sent Danny to deal with the Flashes. They knew of him, and were all more than a little frightened of Danny. They think he's like. A speedforce demon or something. Theyre glad he eats burgers and not their souls) it was fun, even if they were stuck in the 40s for a bit until they cleaned everything up and got the Flash fam member back in the proper timeline. (You can imagine this as any of the Flash fam)

Jason met Pandora when she came to spar with Danny. And he just. Instant puppy crush. He watched this Amazonian woman beat the snot out of Danny and it was the best day of his life. If Fright Knight hadn't already claimed him as a protégé he would've been begging Pandora to train him. She thinks Jason is cute and is always happy to spar with him when she's around.

i don't really go here but y'all acting really excited when they're doing this storyline not with your ship but the dude buck and another man. Like when I saw the stuff I was like oh wow they went their with the two firefighters the show has been building for what 7 years now, instead it's just one of those firefighters so IDK I'd be disappointed if I was y'all not celebrating it. But happy that at least one of them is gonna be into men.

buck’s queer realization is for buck and buck’s character arc, not a flimsy plot device towards buddie. i’m actually really glad that they’re giving buck the individual attention right now, and then my hope is that they’ll give eddie’s his when it’s due.

and you know that people can ship multiple ships right? like yes my endgame ship is always going to be buddie but for the time being i’m enjoying buck and tommy - not least because tommy is the most interesting love interest buck’s had but because he’s a safe place for him to land in this realization of what it means to be a queer man in his profession, with someone else who came out later in life. i repeat, this is not about eddie.

as for eddie and buddie, the show isn’t over yet. also eddie’s dating someone else right now - i would hate if they ruined it by making him cheat or whatever. anyway, we have an early renewal for s8, and it’s very much a matter of being patient with these characters as they navigate a world that was, previously, completely unknown to them.

so anon, am i disappointed? absolutely not. i’m a manner of speaking, they did go exactly where they’ve been building buck’s queer arc over the last 7 seasons. because you don’t even watch the show, but if you did, you’d see exactly why it fits so well for what we know.

I’m curious after Jason been knighted as a Red Knight and first dealing with the Flash Fam screwing up the flow of time… Again…

A Flash: messes up the timestream

Now, keep in mind Jason had been fucking with the Flash Fam prior to being formally knighted. Being knighted as Fright Knight(or Red Knight in this case) just gives him a bit of a power up and also gives him a good deal of authority in the 'Realms.

Now what was really scary was the first time Jason went after a Flash fucking with the timestream while in his Red Knight armor.

Just. This hulking suit of armor and ghostly flames running at them like the Terminator and. They're the FLASH fam. They're supposed to be the fastest people around. Yet they can't outrun this full on armored tank of a being.

When he catches up to whichever Flash is responsible he just scruffs them like misbehaving kittens and shakes them.

"Stop. Fucking. With. Time. You. Little. Shit." And a few more shakes for good measure. And whichever Flash it is just nods meekly. Because what else are you gonna do when this man who is more built than Superman, faster than you, who is coated in black and red armor literally radiating flames picks you up like you weigh nothing more than a wet paper bag and scolds you like a puppy who piddled on the carpet?

You agree and then offer to buy him chilidogs. (All of the Flash Fams know the big tank dude likes chilidogs, the skinny eldritch nightmare likes burgers)

Danny and Jason are the Flash Fam's version of those scary sea stories sailors tell each other. They're what goes bump in the night.

this might sound insane but when I hear tim say friendship is the core of this coupling, I read that and I'm like oh I think I know what the angst is gonna be. How do you destroy a coupling where friendship is at the core....you add romantic feelings to the mix and watch it evolve into something more, of course there will be massive angst before it evolves but you know what I mean.

i'd truly love if that were the case, because the way i interpreted it was that he's not trying to destroy it per say, but he's definitely going to put them through some waves that'll wash em out if they're not anchored to something - and that anchor is their friendship.

and i guess that's what oliver was talking about too, with the potential for not-so-great things to come to light, and them persevering to save what they've built with sweat, blood, tears, and everything else because you don't find it you make it.

i’m very glad people are talking about this. this situation was never black and white. when it was all happening last week, i was so scared. like jan said, seeing all these words like “groomer” “guilty” etc made me so scared. and i was upset and angry and betrayed. so i deleted the tumblr app and deactivated my twitter and tried to let my thoughts settle down.

once they did, my first thought was that i am too obsessed. being in fandom makes me way too addicted to what could be a casual interest. so i’m working on detaching now (and since i am busier in the real world now, i think my mentality really is going to improve).

my second thought after looking at everything presented to us, is that it was not grooming. i saw people even yesterday on here call dream a “potential groomer” when factually, he just isn’t. and i felt so guilty, again, that i didn’t agree with these public denouncements of dream. which also just reinforces in my head how unhealthy fandom can be.

don’t get me wrong i think dream was stupid, and dumb and naive, but i suppose if he was truthful in his twitlonger then he already realised that hence why he stopped talking to fans and let other people have his social media passwords, which is a good sign.

sorry this is rambly, but yeah. still engaging with dream team content, but hopefully toning waaay down on the obsession and parasocialness. i really like how you described yourself in the tags as just zee who enjoys dteam content. really sums up what i think we should all work on :)
