Monsters PT2
Summary: You survived for so long. The yautja came to clear out the xenomorphs and to find you.
Warnings: slight swearing.
It's been six months since Du'sa saved me from death and brought me to his home planet only to figure out that his mission to save me was supposed to fail all because Jeanette wanted me dead and not alive. Still can't believe she tried to kill me after me being here for only an hour. I sigh as I look out of my huts window. Du'sa thought it would be best if I lived in my own hut. Guess he doesn't like having guests stay with him long. I shake my head and walk away from the window. Okay, what are my plans for today. Du'sa gave me the day off from training since we just got back from a hunt a few days ago. It went incredibly well. I've been on multiple hunts in these past few months, but that wasn't until after my training with Du'sa was deemed good enough. Although I was human, I was still regarded as one of the best hunters this planet has seen. They respected me, and I respected them. I was pulled away from thoughts when a knock was heard. I look over and see the elder at my door. I bow in respect to him and kindly greet him. "Hello, Vi-Zata. What brings you here today?" I asked him. He smiles at me, and I motion for him to come in. "Came to see my favorite kv'var-de." He spoke. I gave him another look and let out a chuckle. "You know me too well, Oomani-di. I've noticed how no one has tried to court you." He said with a small smile. I look at him confused. Court me? What does that mean? Like try to date me? "I don't understand Vi-Zata. Court me? Why would someone want to do that?" I asked him.
He tilts his head out of curiosity and lets out a chuckle. "Oomani-di, you make me laugh. So many of my yeyin sain'jas are hulij-bpe about you." He spoke. My face immediately became bright red from what he had told me. "How many brave warriors are we talking about here? Why would they be crazy about me?" I ask in a shy tone. He just shrugs and goes to leave. "Wait, Vi-Zata, you can't just drop all of this on me and expect me to be okay with this." I said to him angrily. He ignored me and waved goodbye as he walked out of my hut. I shook my head and quickly followed after him. "Vi-Zata please hold on a minute!" I yell to him, but he disappeared in the busy street. Son of a bitch. I should have known he was only coming to visit to leave me confused or angry. That man loves bothering me. I groaned and looked around. Maybe I can talk to Du'sa about this? I'm hoping he's home and can spread some light on what Vi-Zata was talking to me about. I begin to walk towards his hut where only to walk into someone. "Sorry." I say quickly. I went to walk around but a hand on my arm stopped me. I looked to see one of the trackers from my previous hunt. "Oomani-di, do you have a moment?" He asked me. I tilted my head and looked at him. "I have something to give you." He told me. Before I could say anything, I felt myself getting pulled away from him. "She doesn't want that gift." I hear a familiar voice say to him.
I turn my attention quickly to Du'sa. "How do you know she doesn't want my gift?!" I hear the other yautja ask angrily. "I'm right here! I don't need anyone speaking on my behalf!" I said loudly. They both stop looking at each other and then at me. I ripped my arm free of Du'sa's grip. "Oomani-di you don't understand what he means by giving you something." Du'sa said to me. I let out an annoyed sigh. I turn my attention to the yautja that had stopped me originally. "A-Bho'tath right now isn't the right time for a gift. Maybe come another time." I told him sweetly. He stared at me and then looked at Du'sa. "Is it because he's already started the process?" He asked me and tilted his head slightly. This in turn made me tilt my head in confusion. "What process? Look I don't know what's going on or why you're giving me something." I told him truthfully. A-Bho'tath clicks something to Du'sa before letting out a small laugh. He turned to me and presented a skull to me. What the fuck! I turn to Du'sa, who looks pissed at what was happening in front of him. His body rigid and his mandibles flaring. I turn my attention back to A-Bho'tath. "Uhm what is happening?" I asked genuinely confused. "He's trying to start the courting process." Du'sa said angrily. I looked at A-Bho'tath and give him a kind smile. "I do appreciate this but no thank you. You seem like a nice guy and all, but I don't know you well enough to give you the same feelings back." I told him. A-Bho'tath looked at me shocked that I rejected him. He got up in a huff and bumped roughly into Du'sa as he walked by.
I quickly put my head down and walked out of the public's eye when I noticed some yautja staring at what was happening. I have never been more embarrassed and guilty than this before. My huts cloth door fluttered behind me from how fast I walked through it. I sat down on the couch and covered my face with my hands. Should I have just accepted the skull he presented to me? A soft knock came from the door of my hut. "Come in." I said quietly. "Can I get your help with something?" I hear Du'sa say softly. I uncovered my face and looked at Du'sa. My eyes widened with worry. I see a very beaten up Du'sa standing at my door. "Du'sa what happened?" I asked while rushing over to him. He lets out a soft chuckle and pats my head. "Do not worry too much about me, Oomani-di. I'll be fine." He said to me softly. I helped him to my couch and then quickly went to grab my first aid stuff. "Du'sa please tell me what happened!" I yelled from the bathroom. I quickly came back with the first aid kit in hand. I kneeled in front of him and opened the kit up. "It was a minor fight that's all. I wasn't going to let A-Bho'tath bump into me without putting him in his place." Du'sa spoke so nonchalant as if this was an everyday occasion. I mean I have seen yautja fight all the time but never have I seen anyone challenge Du'sa. I know they push each other as a challenge to fight and that means... "Please don't tell me it was over me." I said just above a whisper. I was afraid that my thought was true. "Oomani-di I think we both know the answer to that." He told me softly. Oh... so I'm the reason why he's hurt. I felt my eyes water. I started to clean the small cuts he had on his body and tried to distract my mind with the task at hand. I tried my best to not cry, but a few tears slipped out. Once I was satisfied with my work and patching him up, I quickly packed the first aid kit up.
When I went to get up, I felt Du'sa place a hand gently on my shoulder. I didn't dare to look at him as more tears escaped from my eyes. I didn't want him to think I was upset with him or anything when, in reality, I was upset that I was the one who caused him harm. I should have just accepted the gift, and none of this would have happened. "(Y/n)... Look at me." I hear Du'sa say softly. I refused to look at him. I don't want him to see me crying over him like this. "(Y/n) look at me." Du'sa said sternly. I shook my head. I couldn't look at him, and even if I wanted to, I wouldn't look him in the eyes. I feel his hand gently grab my chin so he could turn me to look at him. Once our eyes met, I felt the tears freely fall down my cheeks. "Come here." He speaks. He pulls me off my knees and on to his lap. He held me tightly to him while he was purring to calm me. "(Y/n)... I'm fine I came to my favorite doctor to patch me up. It was a minor fight for me. If anything, A-Bho'tath looks worse." He tells me with a small chuckle. "Du'sa but you still had a fight with him over me. I'm not worth fighting over." I told him seriously. I gave him a serious look, and he matched. "My mate is worth fighting over, actually. I'm not going to let anyone try and steal you from me. You said it from day one that I'm your protector." He spoke. Wait, what?
Did he just call me his mate? I didn't mean mate when I called him my protector. "I... huh?" I couldn't even figure out what to say to him. The words jumbling up from the anxiety that is now coursing through my body. He chose me over the many females who have thrown themselves at him. "Why me?" Was the only thing I could think of to ask him. He tilts his head a bit confused on what I had asked. "Why me? Why not one of the many female yautja that are all over you? I'm not as strong or even as powerful as those ladies are. I probably wouldn't be able to carry your pups. I-." He cuts me off by putting his hand up. "Oomani-di I do not care about those other females. I knew from the moments my eyes landed on you for the first time that I had to make you mate. You survived for years with those xenomorphs and somehow outsmarted them. Even after I told you to stay put you still left and tried to survive out in the woods. You somehow avoided three of us. You literally put your scent in a different direction to put us off your trail for a bit. The females here don't have my attention like you do. I don't care if you can give me a pup or not. You're the only thing that matters to me. You accepted the skull I gave you in a heartbeat which means you have accepted me as your mate." He tells you. I looked at him confused for a moment as I racked my brain for a skull, he gave me. "Wait are you talking about that bird like skull you gave me?" I asked him. He nods his head. I felt more confused because to me I thought it was just a cute little trinket to put out for show or something. "I'm lost here. How does that skull mean I choose you?" I asked confused. He lets out a small chuckle. "Maybe I should have taught you about our culture a little bit more instead of training you so much." He mumbled to himself. "Wait is this what A-Bho'tath was trying to do? In your culture you give gifts in order to court someone?" I ask trying to make sense of everything. He nods his head. "A skull is usually the gift to start the courting process. So, if the person we are trying to court takes it then they have accepted us a mate." He explains to me. I nod my head. "Wait so you're one of yeyin sain'jas that the elder was telling me about." I said with a smile.
He nods his head. "The number one contender for your heart actually." He said proudly. I blushed and smiled brightly at him. "Number one huh?" I asked. He nods again. "Well, I guess if you were number one then you deserve a prize don't you." I said in a matter-of-fact tone. He tilts his head confused. "(Y/n)-." He began to say before I straddled him. His body went from a bit tense to more relaxed. His hands immediately fell to my hips. I leaned in and began to pepper kisses all over his face. The sound of happy clicking filled the air as I continued kissing his face. I pulled away from him after a few minutes. "I'm glad you choose me." I told him. He happily clicked something to me that I kind of understood but it was still hard to get some things. "You're always going to be my first choice." He told me softly.

Does he still love me
female Ao’nung x neteyam
Tumblr media
here another cross posted story I had made, and now have brought here. Angi the daughter of tonowair and ronal had become the mate of eldest son of tokru makto neteyam sully, after his clan and family came sneaking refugee and help. Angi and Neteyam had started off and friends but soon become something more over time, and soon enough the two of become a mated pair when Neteyam had confused his feeling to the girl. When they become a mated pair it soon result it ever lasting alliance between the two clans, a year later the couple will be blessed with a child.
Angi " ......." Angi was out with her son which had been named Zata it was a name that Neteyam and his family had been discussing and chosen, as it will fit the boy well.
Navi women " look at her walking around like she better then all the other female here just become she the mate with neteyam"
Navi women 2 " I still think she did something to make neteyam choose her as a mate and now loom she does next have a child with him"
Navi women 3 " I feel bad for Neteyam that he has to be mated with her he could've chosen someone from the clan, but no he picked her"
Navi women 4 " well I heard the reason they become mated was that her father didn't have to keep an eye on her, and that it will make peace between the two clans it was all made between the Tokyo makro, tonowair, and neteyam"
Navu women " no that cant be true"
Navi women 2 " I believe it do you really think neteyam will give up all the way of the forest just for her, we live on this small inland connect to the Metkayina... we will still practice the ways of the forest but everything had changed because of her and all the other Metkayina that have bene trying to find a way in our clan"
Navi women 3 " I wonder how many of these couples will stay true if we ever return to our beloved forest"
Navi women 2 " we also have to remember that tsyeira girl with loak"
Navi women " she better then her sister angi will bring down her family name I heard that the deers thought tsyeria will been a better choice for Neteyam... she doomed being mated with the clan outcast loak"
Navi women 2 " rumor going around the the elder might ask moat and Jake to remake the mates between his sons, Tsyeria and loak will be a perfect pair verse the ones they have now"
Navi women " that is so cruel no way Jake will do that to his own sons"
Navi women 4 " it true I heard even tonowari elder agree as well tsyeria and neteyam will be better match then Neteyam and angi, even some of her own people hated her and want her gone her future title of tshaik has been rumors to be give to her sister"
Navi women 3  " oh yes and it custom that the olo'eythan and tshaik will have to be mated pair or have some family connect to be true leader, and if she not tshaik the it will be bad for everyone"
Navi women 5 "what of the child"
Navi women " it an freak a future outcast look at It the boy maybe if Neteyam mates with tsyeria they will have beautiful children, verse him and the girl"
Navi women 5 " don't you all feel bad for the poor baby or angi and loak I know they might not be like everyone else, but they are still good people"
Navi women " who cared if neteyam and tsyeira end up together then loak can help raise that child no will care or know"
Navi women 5 " yes but this still mean to them and will hurt three people or more in he future"
Navi women " it for the best forever"
Angi " ......" angi felt like her heart was breaking when she was listening to this new she didn't want to belie that her Neteyam had mated with her for that reason, she had thought he really love her. She fell tears rushing down her face she didn't want to believe that neteyam had mate with her out of duty for his clan and her clan.
Angi " oh my son im so sorry" zata could feel his mother was become unsettled by the word she had heard as the group of women had left.
Angi " come on let get home I will put you down for a nap with a story and lullaby that will make you feel better" this might explain why neteyam has been distance lately from the brith of their son three months ago her family and her in-law have bene acting weird, but she couldn't allow ugly rumors and gossip like that to mess with her. She knew that neteyam love her and their son he will do anything for them he is just busy with his duties and responsibilities.
Later that night
Angi " yes I will make neteyem favorite meal it will be good for us all and maybe we can talk"
Neteyam " hey I'm home"
Angi " welcome home I was about to get started on dinner I was going to make your favorite your mom help me learn it"
Neteyem " oh well  dinner is happening with my parents and your tonight"
Angi " oh that will be perfect we can bring zata with us it will ...."
Neteyam " I'm sorry it a dinner for only a fee selected guest it me, your parents, my parent, and your sister with maybe kiri and rotxo being there"
Angi " oh okay"
Neteyam " I have enough time to be here with my two favorite people"
Angi " okay" neteyam soon smile and sat down near angi after he picked up zata who was now awake Neteyam was holding his son in his ar, and soon kissed his mate forehand he had stayed for three hours before he had to leave. Neteyam didn't return home until late in the night worry angi and when she woke up the next day he was completely gone and no longer in their bed. It was hard for her to decide if he had spent the night in their bed or night.
Angi " he gone he always here when I wake up he never gone without saying a word" angi had soon eat her breakfast and feed her son before she left to do her task for the day. She hadn't seen any of her family or friends during the morning making her feel alone and sad, once again she spotted the women from before talking again.
Navi women " did you see that neteyam was at dinner with his family but his mate and child were not there, and so was loak"
Navi women 2 " yes I saw him eating dinner alone as tsyeira was having meal with the others"
Navi women 3 " I'm starting to think these are no longer rumors but true you see how her parents and neteyam parents haven't been over that much to see their first ever grandchild, and how she been slowing pseudo from her role as tshaik"
Navi women 4 " so she over and one done for we all knew this was going to happen"
Navi women 2 " we have to wait and see"
Navi women " well whatever happens I hope angi take it well we dont need her becoming jealous and take her anger out"
Navi women 4 " she won't but hey soon we will have a good oloeyath and tshaik like their parents minus the one that was supposed to rule originally" angi had avoid the group of women and soon went to a secret spot of her and sat down there, tears falling down from her face until she felt someone touch her face. She looked down and saw it was zata soon enough angi had picked up her son and smiled at the boy.
Angi " no matter what happen zata I will always love you" angi soon got up and went back to her track of the day she knew whatever came for her in the future she will raise her son with love, support, and care and she didn't know if it was going to be with her mate or by herself. She knew she was going to do her best to keep her son away from any harm that the clan will throw at him as they was her duty as a mother. She was saying prays to the great mother to give her guidances and support for what the future had in store for her.

Burdur Mebusu Mehmet yani

An Explanation for Kishic Noble Names and a quick intro of the Kishic counting system
Hello y'all this is meant to go along with the previous post about Ninma. Most Kishic indiviuals only have one name, such as Narul, Istek, or Bira. However within the Kishic Noble tradition, a person's full name typically includes four or five elements depending on the person. These being Number, Given Name, Line, Clan/Branch, and Title.
As an example, Ninma's full name is as follows: Ba Ninma Asheradul Ninjali Ninma's full name in Kishic is shown below, her given name is underlined as is typical in the Kishic tradition
Tumblr media
More explanation of the naming structure below the cut!
1 Number and Kishic Numeric system
An individual is named for the order in which they are born into a family and/or clan. Family lines typically follow a patrillineal structure. When a family branches or splits forming a "clan/branch" the count is restarted for that particular line. As an example, Ninma is the third person given her name within her direct family line, thus Ba. However, should Ninma have a daughter also named Ninma, because that would no longer be in the direct patrillineal line, the count would restart thus her daughter would be Un, and would mark the first member of a new clan/branch.
1. Un 2. Se 3. Ba 4. Ta 5. Su 6. Tu 7. De 8. Teti 9. Sekesh(a) 10. Bet(a) 11. Ku-Bet(a) 12. Se-Bet(a) 13. Ba-Bet(a) 20. Shet(a) 21. Ku-Shet 22. Se-Shet 30. Bat(a) 31. Ku-Bat(a) 40. Taset(a) 41. Ku-Taset(a) 50. Suset(a) 51: Ku-Suset(a) 60: Tuset(a) 61: Ku-Tuset(a) 70. Denet(a) 71: Ku-Denet 80: Tetet(a) 81: Ku-tetet(a) 90: Seket(a) 91: Ku-Seket(a) 100: Kid(a)
2 Given Name
Noble names originate from a prescribed list, The Decreed Callings, created during the era of the united Kishic empire by King Tamel as a way to easily differentiate the noble from the mundane. This list was carved into stone, and typically left as stelae or rock monuments in the majority of Kishic city's thus, explaining the relative homogenity of spelling between much different cities. The literal meanings of most of these names stem from a dialect of Shabalic now almost entirely forgotten, and thus the actual meaning of each name is of little importance if it is remembered at all. There are exceptions, for example, Ninma, coming from the adjective for small or dimunitve Nina and the word for woman, Ma, quite literally translates to "Small woman". Certain names are more common or traditional within a family.
The majority of names, though not all, have both a feminine and masculine equivalent.
While typically only nobility are permitted to bear these names, if one rises to the ranks of nobility they must choose or have a name from this list given to them, conversely, they may lose the name and replace it with another, often a slightly different version. Eg. Zatar (noble) and Zatur( peasant).
Some peasants, particular those of near noble status, purposely choose these near noble names as a symbol of wealth or status.
Included below are the masculine and feminine equivalent of the thirty-one noble names and some examples of peasant equivalents.
M: Hut(a)bari F: Hut(a)bara (Peasant Hubaru, Hubara)

M: Nabiru F: Nabira
M: Bazu(u)s F: Baza
M: Uridush F: Uriduma
M: Zeni(i)t F: Zenita (Zeniit is both feminine and masculine in Shabalic)
3 Line
Most noble families trace their ancestry back to a single famous individual, typically a legendary or influential figure. It is not uncommon for nobles to rename their familiy line as a way to improve their standing, nor is it common for families to claim descendancy from mythical figures. Additional it is often the case that multiple families may claim descendancy from the same ancestor.
On rare occassions, a person may choose to start a new line, with themselves as its root, though this is very rare, and typically reserved for kings and usurpers.
Examples:
The Line of Asher- Asherdul
The Line of Tamel ( The most commonly claimed line, 1 in 10 noble families use this title)- Tameldul
The Line of Lat (An entirely fictional character)- Latdul
The Line of Akard- Akarddul
4 Clan/Branch
As was previously explained, a branch most typically forms as the result of a deviation from the direct patrillineal line, in these instances the branch name is typically merely a second number. Typically the direct family line does not have a branch or clan name.
In cases of adoption or as recognition for a particular trait or achievement from a member of line, or conversely as a mark of punishment, a new name may be awared/inflicted on an individual and thus their descendants forming a "clan". Clan's are typically signified by the ending -di.
The creation of new clans (not branches) must be approved by the highest authority of that particular city-state, usually the monarch. A member of that line does not have to be the one to produce a petition for the recognition of a new clan, though they must be noble.
Examples: Den Kotus Ladara(a)dul Hirudi Ekiku The Clan of Hiru (A famous warrior) Se Atab Ku(u)birdul Ba Unku The third branch of the Line of Ku(u)bir Un Barunaki Farutimadul Gomandi Kikunku The Large (fat) Clan (This was unlikely chosen willingly, and was likely the result of a petty squabble or some afront)
Title
Held by many but not all nobles, this is simply a reflection of their job or ranking within a city-state's hierarchy.
Examples Jal/Jali- King/Queen Ninjal/Ninjali- Prince/Princess Unku/Unma- (Generic) Lord/Lady literally One Man/Woman Ekiku/Ekima- Horse man (Mounted warrior/horse keeper) Ekijalku/ma- Charioteer (typically more esteemed than Ekiku) Kikunku/ma- Master of Grain (can refer to those in charge of both granaries/and the production of beer for a royal household) Shukalajal/i- Spearmaster literally Great Spear (Typically the senior guard and champion of the monarch)
