Hi! Thank you for this ask, it's always fun to answer😊 So these are my current or most recent favorite ships:

Itafushi (Jujutsu Kaisen)

It's my number 1 right now, like i love them so much! Their ship is really cute and i love the contrast between them and how they work so well together as friends and more! I'm always giggling and shit when i think about them even if they're doomed by the narrative :(

Zolu (One Piece Live Action/Animanga)

I really liked their dynamic after watching the live action so i mainly ship opla! zolu, but any content of this ship is cute and catches my interest! This ship literally made me write fanfics again lol More Zolu please!

Miyusawa/Misawa (Ace of Diamond)

Miyusawa my beloved ❤️ The first time i watched this anime it had been an instant ship, their chemistry is amazing, the pitcher/catcher dynamic is chef's kiss and just the development of their relationship throughout the show was the highlight for me! I watched everything again recently and i still love this ship very much, fave fave fave :')

Shiguang (Link Click)

They are everything honestly! The angst of it all and their beautiful relationship is just aaaah and the show is INCREDIBLE?? Whether it's friendship or more, they love each other so much. In my head they're canon, i mean after what Lu Guang did, for me that's just proof of his love for Cheng Xiaoshi... they make me ill

Renga (Sk8 the Infinity)

Sk8 was the anime of the season when it came out, the serotonin was just high with this one, especially during covid time. Reki and Langa's friendship was the cutest thing to watch and it was so genuine and then ep 7 happened and the ship just sailed really hard for me! So many cute moments while a beautiful relationship blossomed in front of our eyes!! Love!!

Kazurei (Buddy Daddies)

A new favorite from last year! The premise of the show was so engaging to me when it first came out and even though i knew Kazuki and Rei weren't going to be canon, we were still fed so well? Like Queerplatonic, same-sex parentality, friends to lovers trope??? we got everything and more, especially last episode like omg they're canon idc!!

Dreamling (The Sandman)

Fell in love with this ship instantly with just one episode and little content... the fandom got my back though, i was well fed and shipped them even harder thanks to all the fanarts and fanfics! i want season 2 right now and more of them!!

EmiSue (Dickinson TV)

Not my first wlw ship but definitely my favorite! From the first episode i knew they were soulmates and i wanted more of them together! The show gave us everything we wanted and i'm glad i got to witness it :)

Satosugu (Jujutsu Kaisen)

They're not Itafushi but they are Itafushi in some ways?? like parallels we can't ignore. It's a big ship in the fandom but i'm not as invested as many stsg shippers are, though i really like the ship, i read fanfics about them and i love their story in the first part of season 2! So much angst though...

Nobamaki (Jujutsu Kaisen)

I love them together, i think their ship is cute and has a lot of potential! I don't obssess with them enough and i should read more fanfics, but they're amazing so they stay at the top of my list!

Other favorites but not current (or more like 'not in an obsessed phase' type of way): Villaneve, Hannigram, Narlie, Willex, Thominho, Kagehina, Daisuga, Asanoya, Kuroken (I watched Haikyuu again so yeah), Furuharu, Sanarai...

Heart Skips A Beat - harriet_vane - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] - T, 27k, 2012 - This author is always a safe bet, she has such a particular style which I enjoy so much. Unfortunately (sob!), I think this was the last fic of hers I hadn’t yet gotten around to reading. I’ve put it in a dual category because although Lilo is the first listed relationship, the Zarry is in no way background.

Quite the Pickle - lululawrence - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] @lululawrence - NR, 1k, 2023 - AU, mpreg, meet cute, crack. I’ll read anything Sus writes and new Stylinshaw?! Double win. This is so sweet and funny but also I’m 100% with Harry here, pickles are delicious.

Once The Dark Divides - zanni_scaramouche - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] @zanniscaramouche - E, 14k, 2023 - kink exploration, friends to lovers, AU. Okayyyyy. Hot. Haha, I was tempted to leave it there but this fic is so well-written, and the relationship and bond between Harry and Louis and how it mutates throughout the extended scene is just great. 

Cool Cats - FallingLikeThis - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] @fallinglikethis - 2018, T, 16k - Louis/Marcel, high school AU, hybrids, D&D. This fic is adorable, Marcel is adorable, his tail especially is completely adorable.

like a bastard on the burning sea - vashtaneradas - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] - NR, 22k, 2013 - infidelity, angst, AU. I think almost everyone in the fandom will have read this, but if you’ve been putting it off it’s time to get around to it. It hurts, but it’s beautifully written and if you’re in the right mindset it’s a wonderful read.

yeah, he's a looker (but i really think it's guts that matter most) - devilinmybrain (venomedveins) - One Direction (Band) [Archive of Our Own] @thedevilinmybrain - E, 40k, 2022 - outsider (Oli) POV, canon, friendship. Honestly, I completely loved this. So intricate, so well written, so realistic - it tugs at the heartstrings and sweeps you up into it entirely.

Canon fake dating is like my ultimate guilty pleasure comfort trope (we don’t ask for these things they just are what they are, right?) and And Then a Bit is one of only like 3 fics I’ve read multiple times, so you can imagine my excitement when you reappeared after so long with MORE canon compliant fake dating. I legit NEVER read wips (see adhd) but actually read The Greatest Thing weekly and loved it.

I think 1d stans have the conspiracy element that 5sos fans don't and for some nothing will shake their 'belief'. Even ones who aren't Larries will automatically see every gf as PR even if the 1d guy posts them all the time. //

I think that element was fostered by the huge presence of larry itself, along with ziam, zarry, narry etc... i mean, the fans got used to dismissing every realtionship and blaming management for their ship not being canon, and that kind of madness got baked into the fandom.

Um...let's see, it's more fluff, more romance, more day to day life of Larry with a bit of smut and a bit of banter, some early controversy and drama. If you've read my others you know what awaits you by now. Not trying to convince anyone to read my work, so who needs cryptic summaries... I hope you enjoy this one, it's close to my heart.

Instead of a story summary, I'll go off on a tangent. How has this fandom not latched onto the line from JKD "Tea with Cyborgs" My god, it's so loud. Who was there when Harry drank tea with a cyborg? Louis was the only one out of Larry/Xarry/Zarry who was in the room when that happened. It was a memory H created with L and I'm really surprised we don't talk about it more. For me that is every bit as loud as Princess Park and Ed in Manchester, but eh, to each their own.

personally, im not a huge fan of canon fics because they can be really tinhatty and no self-respecting person likes that, but i read this zarry one, echo of us on ao3. it hurts so good and while its canon, it doesnt lean on insane theories. its more like “zarry fucked in the band and caugh some feelings. end of story.” and i like that. canon can be very hit or miss but i do think its kinda hot.
