A/N: Taken place between the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4. Also Please bare with me there might not be as much Sara in it but I hope you enjoy anyways.

Sara Lance x Platonic!Reader, Zari x Platonic!Reader, Slight Avalance

Word Count: 1051

The annual explode the time drive to save the world came and Zari needed help to fix the Waverider. Being a friend of Zari’s she brought you onto the ship to help.

It was suppose to be a quick fixer upper and a quick visit to anywhere in time but it didn’t end that way. Zari without the Captain’s permission snuck you on to the ship like a teenager sneaking around her best friend for a slumber party.

Zari had gotten up early to fabricate a dozen glazed donuts that she was willing to share with you. 

“Are you sure this is a good idea, Z?” You asked out of fear of being caught by the one and only Sara Lance. 

You have spent two days on the Waverider and no one else seemed to notice yet. But with less and less anachronisms to fix, the Legends barely went on missions and tossed them all to the Bureau. You haven’t left Zari’s room but the stories she told you, have made you not want to hide anymore and just tell Sara. That was better than being attacked as an ‘intruder’ 

“None of the Legends ever wake up this early anyways. I’m sure you can go take a shower and come back and they’ll still be sleeping like babies,” Zari said as she stuffed a donut in her mouth. “I don’t know what you’re so worried about you know enough martial arts so Sara won’t kill you,” Zari continued with her mouth full.

“If you say so Z,” you sighed in defeat. 

“Don’t touch the red button, (Y/N).” 

“I’ve been to the bathroom on this ship Z!”

You grabbed the towel and a change of clothes Zari had fabricated and headed towards the only bathroom on the ship. For a futuristic ship and a crew of ten, give or take, the one bathroom part was definitely the worse part of it. 

Once you have finished your needed shower you tried to make your way back to Zari’s quarter, only you were always with Zari before and now the Waverider looked like a labyrinth.

“I’m screwed.”

You wandered around the ship for a little bit when you remembered Gideon.

“Gideon?” You looked up towards the ceiling.

“Yes Miss (Y/L/N).”

“Where is Zari’s room?”

“Take a right then a left and Miss Tomaz’s room will be on the right.”

“Thanks Gideon.”

As instructed you were about to reach that left turn when a glimpse of blond locks entered your line of sight. Zari did say you could handle her but seeing the small but powerful Captain in person made you freeze.

Sara stopped in her tracks with a confused expression. As far as she knew they were in the temporal zone, with their location masked. You gave a toothy grin, waved and took off in a sprint towards Zari’s room.

Unfortunately Sara didn’t have enough light or time to figure out who you were and suspected you were an intruder. Thankfully Zari’s room door was open as she played pacman, you ran in and tried to use Zari as a human shield when a ninja star flew past your head.

You eyes widened as you stared at the wall the star lodged in, and had a chuck of your hair pinned with it.

“I thought you said no one woke up this early,” you hid behind Zari.

“Yeah, Sara might have couriered onto the ship sense she was with Ava,” Zari stood to protect you.

“Z!” Sara’s voice echoed the hallway. “There’s an intruder in your room!”

“Yeah, no Sara she’s a friend.”

Sara finally came into the light and realized who you were. She purses her lips together with her hands on her hip.

“I thought (Y/N) went back to 2042.”

Zari gave you a reassuring glance and a nod of encouragement. You took a step beside Zari, fidgeted with your hands and didn’t make eye contact with Sara.

“Well there’s really nothing I can go back to in 2042. Our Jannah is gone, no one was there. I knew Zari and Behrad and we promised to meet at our Jannah. A.R.G.U.S attacked and I had to run away.”

“Where did you stay?”

“I was wherever I need to be. Zari taught me how to make devices to mask my location. Then she found me a few weeks later and brought me here.” Tears flooded your vision. “Please don’t send me back,” you shook your head.

Sara felt compelled to pull you into a hug and she did.

“You’re welcome to stay here. But living here doesn’t come without a price. And make sure you don’t do want Zari does.”

“What did Zari do?”

“Hijacked Gideon, hacked history, played the Legends to help with a he-”

“Yeah she gets it.”

“How old are you by the way?”

“16.”

“You want to grip it between your thumb and index finger, line up your thumb with the point of the star, bring your hand back to your ear,” Sara grabbed your waist to reposition you with your right foot in front of the other. “When you extend you don’t cross like you’re throwing a baseball, just straight and once your arm is extended release.”

“You make it sound and look so easy,” you groaned when you missed the target.

“League of Assassins, let’s go again.” Sara plucked the stars from the wall and the wooden target.

“Can’t I stick with swords and arrows,” you complained when Sara placed the stars in your hands once again.

“You said you wanted to be like me, so this is how we are going to do it. Hit the target and I’ll get you ice cream.”

“Gideon could always fabricate ice cream,” You huffed.

“I meant real ice cream.”

“Hey you said it,” you threw the star straight at the target as if you were born with a star in your hand.

You and Sara sat on the top of a ledge and the both of you licked your ice cream. You and Sara shared laughs and stories about your past lives. 

“I can’t believe you defeated a time demon with a giant beebo.”

“Yeah I still can’t believe that either.” 

Sara received a call from Ava and she gave a guilty look towards you.

“I’m okay, go on your date,” you lightly pushed Sara.

Sara kissed your forehead and smudged ice cream on your cheek. You tried to dodge the incoming ice cream attacks but almost fell. Both your eyes widened before you both burst out in laughter. 

“Okay, bye mom.”
