Could you write a fic of Zac Blakely from Mako Mermaids with a human boyfriend who studies marine biology?

Zac smiled as he watched his boyfriend, Y/N L/N, sitting down on his couch in the Bungalow reading a marine biology book. Ever since they were kids, Y/N has been obsessed with the ocean and all its wonderful creatures.

Y/N still hadn't learned Zac's secret about him being a merman. Zac was afraid that if he told Y/N the truth, he wouldn't want to be with him anymore. So, he kept it hidden from him even though it hurt him lying to him.

"Hey, you." Zac smiled and plopped himself down onto the couch with Y/N and kissed his lips. Y/N smiled at Zac. "Hey, yourself. What's got you so happy?"

"Nothing. I just like spending time with you." Zac said.

"Me too, but I'm pretty busy later on. I'm headed to Mako Island."

"Mako Island?" Zac looks surprised. "W-Why are you going to do over there?"

"Study the sea creatures there. I heard there's interesting things on that island." Y/N said.

"You can't." Zac said suddenly.

"Why not?" Y/N frowns.

"Because...Because..."

"Yes?"

"Because...I wanna go with you." Zac lied.

Y/N's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? Cool. We leave in two hours."

H2O & MAKO Headcanon #24

Do you recall that Mako Mermaids episode in season 1 where Zac discovered a moon ring and gave it to Evie and spend the remaining episode with Sirena, Lyla, and Nixie trying to get it back because they didn't want to know what a moon ring would do in the hands of a normal girl?

I've spent the longest time wondering what WOULD happen if Evie had kept that moon ring over time. And my conclusion: Nothing. It wouldn't have worked on her...under those circumstances.

I firmly believe that any magic coming from a moon ring only works on a mermaid. So if it couldn't possibly work on a human, what about a human formerly a mermaid?

Following my previous headcanon (see the link below):

There might be a loophole. After a lot of deliberation (and fantasizing), I feel like a former mermaid would be able to use a moon ring.

Why? Well, look towards the magical island that alters someone's DNA to be part-fish, gives them powers over temperature (then estimates to weather), and while making said someone susceptible to mythological substances and literal aquatic poisons that hurt marine life. Not to mention, in times of apocalyptic crisis, creates a sentient being made of water to warn any nearby mermaids of impending danger.

After all that, well...is it that hard to believe there's nothing leftover from part-time mermaids who loses their tails? (Charlotte 👀 Evie 👀)

Here's my headcanon: Since the crystal inside a moon ring is embedded with the magic of a moon pool, what if all someone had to do is put it in say, a bowl of literal seawater and place it somewhere the Full Moon could "charge" it? The crystal emulates the effects of a moon pool and should a former part-time mermaid put on the ring, the ring recognizes the leftover "merperson residue" and gives them the ability to transform into their tailed forms (like how the moon pool broke the Leg Spell on unknowingly placed on Zac). The loophole would be that it only works as long as the ring is worn.

In an ironic sense, it gives the wearer choice between being a merperson & being human.

(Could apply to humans descendant by natural merpeople or descendants of part-time mermaids.)

One Gnarly Swim

What if Zac Blakely met the Jackass cast one day while going for a swim? Rachel and the guys would swoon over the Mako merman while shooting a stunt.

Warnings: swearing (as usual), supernatural violence, and fighting

One fine afternoon in the Gold Coast, Zac prepares for a swim in the ocean with his girlfriend Evie. While the two stroll along the shoreline discussing their favorite Jackass stunts, they encounter a group of men plus a dark-haired woman, with cameras and sound equipment on the set, so Evie and Zac discuss what to do about the filming.

"Who the fuck are those people? They look familiar to the show we used to watch when we were kids," Zac asked.

"You mean Jackass, right?" Evie turned her head away from her boyfriend and towards the film crew as she and Zac crept closer to the filming location. Once the duo reached the scene, a silver-haired man dressed in thick-framed glasses, a Linda Ronstadt t-shirt, blue jeans, and white Converses approached them. He was none other than Johnny Knoxville.

The Jackass leader lifted Zac by the shirt and introduced him to the crew, "Guys, let's welcome an honorary Jackass, one who admires the ocean just as much as he loves doing stupid shit."

Zac added, "The name's Zac Blakely. And I'm here with my girlfriend Evie McLaren to participate in one of your stunts."

The remaining crew that filmed the stunt introduced Zac and Evie to them: Pontius, Ehren, Dave, Zach, Jasper, Poopies, Rachel, and Eric Manaka. While Zac met the Jackasses, Evie told herself not to expose Zac's merman secret to their childhood heroes.

"So you watched Jackass as a kid, right?" Eric, the youngest member of the cast, told Evie. "My cousin and I watched it as well. What's your name?"

"Evie. Evie McLaren," she introduced herself to Eric.

Whereas the new members hung out with Evie, Zac stuck with Ehren and Pontius, who reportedly hated each other the most despite Zac crushing on both OG Jackasses. The three men then walked closer to the ocean and felt the waves crash on their feet. Between the two Jackasses, Zac was much more infatuated into Ehren because of his cup tests, spider helmet, and worst of all, the bear attack in Jackass Forever. As for Pontius, his thong-worthy butt along with his contagious grin, hazel eyes, and long, dark brown braid, heavily turned Zac on with each installment of Jackass.

Zac was divided between Pontius and Ehren. "I think I love you more than Party Boy, Ehren," he admitted.

"Why do you love me?" the youngest Jackass veteran questioned the Thai-Australian merman.

"You're extremely underrated to the point that Jackass Forever put you above all the other original cast members. Even the new guys can't outshine you," Zac faced Ehren while the camera crew began shooting. "Now can I join you guys in the stunt?"

"Absolutely!" Ehren and Pontius high fived each other and Zac while Evie cheered her boyfriend on. Zac then asked Pontius if any of the cast had tails, and he realized that he wasn't the only merman because Pontius, Ehren, Dave, and Rachel were merpeople when wet.

Jeff announced the start of the shoot. "And... ACTION!" he called out as Zac joined the four Jackass merpeople by the shoreline.

"I'm Zac Blakely, and this is the Mako Island Pentagram," Zac grinned as he and Ehren held hands and dove into the ocean. Rachel followed them next, then Pontius, and finally Dave.

"Fuck yeah, Zac! Splash that tail!" Evie cheered on the Jackass merpeople plus Zac once their tails popped up above the surface. Next, the five participants arranged themselves in a wide circle: Dave, Ehren, Zac, Rachel, and Pontius. Johnny, who watched Rachel and the mermen from his lifeboat, handed them five gemstones, which Zac levitated. Dave possessed the blue gemstone for his ice powers, Ehren possessed the gold gemstone for his control over water, Rachel possessed the green gemstone for her gelatin powers, Pontius possessed the red gemstone for his fire powers, and Zac himself the onyx gemstone for all four powers combined plus darkness.

The remaining cast witnessed the magic stunt with a mix of concern, shock, and anticipation, especially Evie, who knew about Zac's merman heritage but not dark magic.

"Look!" Evie pointed out and showed the spectating Jackass cast. "Zac's not the only merman. Some of the guys have fish tails, and so does Rachel! Mermaids are real."

As the spell progressed, a glowing blue pentagram projected from the gemstones and encased the five merpeople who controlled it. Zac, the merman who destroyed the Trident Stone, felt his heart pounding out of his muscular chest, his normally brown eyes glowed bright purple, and he hissed as the pentagram travelled through Rachel, then Pontius, then Dave, and finally Ehren.

Once the pentagram dissipated, the now-possessed Zac swam towards an emotionless Ehren and grabbed his golden tail. "Well, well, well," the sadistic merman sneered, "My prized possession of the Jackass pod is none other than Kenneth Ehren McGhehey. This vulnerable motherfucker has absorbed my love spell, and I will seduce his ass."

"Oh no you won't, Zac!" Ehren desperately replied while the rest of the merpeople watched in horror.

The baby of the veteran Jackasses struggled as Zac finished the stunt by creating a water tentacle with the help of Rachel, the only mermaid of the Jackass pod. Zac controlled the water tentacle, making it wrap around Ehren's neck as he continued screaming for help. Rachel assisted him by heating the tentacle before turning it into gelatin. As the stunt ended, Ehren managed to break out of Zac's gelatinized tentacle and swim back to shore with Pontius and Dave.

"Shit, that was a fucking close call," Ehren exclaimed as Pontius dried his tail with his heat powers. "Zac could've killed me if Rachel hadn't hardened the tentacle."

"Agreed. At least we know he's not the only merman around," Pontius added. He then proceeded to dry Dave and himself off while the human Jackasses cheered on the spellbinding success of the Mako Pentagram. As for Zac, he made a new friend in both Ehren and Rachel because of their shared beliefs in mermaids - and dangerous stunts.

The goal is to give your giftee enough information to create something you will enjoy, while leaving some room for them to be creative and put their own spin on it!

When coming up with prompts…

Try your best to provide a variety! You can stick with just a setting, such as “Beacon Days” or “Atlas Ball,” you can provide a scene set up, such as “Yang and Ruby having sister bonding time” or “Team STRQ getting into shenanigans,” or you can even provide an AU idea, such as “Role Swap AU” or “Nothing Bad Ever Happened AU.” You can even provide your own AU if you’d like! If you decide to do that, try to provide at least one or two non-AU options, just in case.

When creating…

The focus of your fic must be at least one character or ship from the recipient’s list! If they prioritized, try your best to use their number one as the focus!

Avoid all squicks and triggers, respect your recipient’s boundaries, and make sure you consider their favorite tags, categories, and tropes when creating your piece. Try to use at least one of their prompts as a jumping off point, too!

You can always always always reach out if you have any questions or just need some help brainstorming. You can DM, reply to the assignment email, or send an ask (especially if you wish to remain anonymous).

Tip: Tip and Deaged!Qrow eventually walk downstairs. They do this rather slowly, it's obvious that Tip is shaky, even though at least he's up and moving. His eyes are slightly glazed and Qrow looks vaguely terrified, though he's supporting the boy's weight easily enough.

Tip's limp is obvious as they walk into the room where the others are, Qrow half carrying him over to an open chair and hovering, looking worried.

"M'okay, Qrow. I... apologise, for collapsing, everybody. I imagine that might have been rather unusual, under the circumstances. I... think I'm alright? It's hard to tell...

Qrow... said he told you certain things?" Tip looks over at Mr. Oz, though it's obvious he's still not fully well.

Deaged!Qrow: "Yeah, Pocketsized insisted he was okay. I have my doubts, but... yeah, kinda his call?"

Tip: Tip looks grateful for Qrow's words, even as he sinks into the chair as though he hasn't just spent several hours asleep. He fails to quite stifle a yawn, but shrugs his bag off anyway, laying it in his lap.

"So... yes, what exactly were you wishing to know?

Oscar: We're just glad you're okay, Tip.

Ruby: Yeah, we were all really worried about you.

Blake: I don't think we really have any other questions for you...

Oscar: Yeah, you gave us a lot of information before you started trying to train us. Why? Was there something else you needed to share?
