"Have you heard? There's a guy looking for [Name]-Senpai!"
Three days. It had been exactly three days of hearing the same whispers through the school corridors, punishing her with indiscreet glances and barely suppressed suggestive tones. She felt flattered by this sudden wave of popularity that covered her like the cloak of a king - beautiful and relentless. However, the crown of her reign was starting to weigh on her head like lead.
Anyway, [Name] had no idea who this person was or what they wanted, and as much as it bothered her, she was far from taking any initiative to confront the situation.
She took the last sip of the orange juice from the tiny carton, promptly tossing the juice box into the trash can next to the table. The school was a war zone - club assistants coming and going at an absurd speed, even though she had made it clear that they should consult their respective advisers. But it wouldn't be a mere misunderstanding or more than one that would stop her from continuing with what she was doing. In no way, she continued cleaning the camera lens. The Nikon D3100 also known as the 'Starting Point for Imminent Discord' - a loving nickname given by some kind members of the Student Council.
Speaking of the Student Council… The Counselors' room generously offered its valuable space to store some of the materials crucial for the school newspaper - needless to say, most were against the idea, but given the situation the journalism club was in, all that remained was to accept without hesitation.
Point for the Journalism Club. (Yeah!)
However, unforeseen events could not be avoided. That being said...
"What the hell are these boxes doing in here?!" The strident voice crossed the room seconds after the door was opened, unfortunately, she knew the owner of the voice well enough to know that he wouldn't be pleased with the news. He already wasn't, apparently.
"Oh, Yuuma!" she greeted with a false air of friendliness, which didn't go unnoticed by the brunette, who furrowed his eyebrows. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"These boxes weren't here earlier today, what happened? No one informed me in advance."
"Look at that coincidence; I can relate quite well to your mood," she replied without looking away from what she was doing, but felt the annoyance manifesting on her colleague's face within seconds. "My freshmen informed me that the table we received arrived today, and we need to remove our materials from the club room. Isn't it hilarious?"
"And who's going to sort this out? You can't just leave this lying around without a plan!" he said as he navigated between the boxes, as if treading on a floor made of glass.
"Don't despair; some of my assistants will come later to sort this out," she shrugged.
"Okay, and what about you?"
"Me? What about me?" she blinked repeatedly, feigning innocence.
"Don't you have your own pending commitments, [Name]?"
The girl raised an eyebrow, then shifted her gaze to the camera in her hands.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh, really?" he laughed sarcastically. "Because there are some well-informed girls outside looking for you. You should talk to them to refresh your memory."
'Every day is a lousy day to be in the student council'. She sighed.
"Tell them I had to leave, or... I don't know, make up something else. I'm busy," she finally said, dismissing him with a wave of her hand and a yawn.
The guy felt a vein popping seeing the girl's nonchalance, but it quickly passed - much to [Name]'s surprise - and he soon returned to the door with his warmest smile.
"Of course she came!" [Name] widened her eyes, leaving her comfortable seat to press her fingertips into the arms of the well-padded chair. "Sorry for the delay, just a second."
He hissed a "Come here now!" with a nod and a scowl on his face. Frowning, she reluctantly snapped her camera shut and stowed it back in her bag, heading to the door with quick steps, hands tucked into the pockets of her college jacket. With her sweetest honey-eater smile, she declared:
"Contact the president, he knows what to do and can provide a copy of the notice board if you're interested," she warned, even before allowing the girls to take the initiative. Catching them off guard with her excessive, almost suffocating friendliness, she continued, "I can schedule a time or even—"
"No, it's not that!" Her harmonious smile felt a hiccup with the interruption. "We're looking for the chief editor, Kawaguchi [Name]-senpai!"
The short girl with glasses waved repeatedly, carried away by nervousness, while her short-haired companion nodded and patted her shoulder as encouragement.
"Yes, yes, we need to talk to you about the retrospective fair. We already have an idea to document the club events!" the short-haired one said, proud and exuding confidence.
"Retrospective fair...?" she pondered, scratching her neck in search of an answer. Then, an embarrassing memory about the club's proposal to the council for an event to conclude another school year by documenting extracurricular activities came to mind. This proposal seemed intentionally shooting oneself in the foot, aware of the consequences. "Oh, yes, I remember that well. You could have contacted the other secretary."
"We came to you because you're the chief editor. Is there anyone who understands your project better than you?" she asked.
'A valid point, but let's ignore that for now just to mask my disinterest,' she thought.
"And also..." the girl with glasses began quietly, "we want you to confirm our idea to make sure it won't be plagiarized or something. I-I'm not accusing any other club; I just..."
"I think I understand what you're trying to say," she waved her hand calmly, calming the exasperated girl. With not much else to do, she glanced briefly back at the table inside the room, only to have the displeasure of finding Yuuma comfortably leaning on one of the chairs, helping himself to a disposable cup of coffee. What a nerve!
She internally sighed, finding it hard to maintain the facade of a good Samaritan near the freshmen for such a significant amount of time.
She cleared her throat, dispelling the reveries and the bitter voice that had been stuck in her throat.
"I'm a bit busy taking care of some things right now. If you don't mind... Can you ask your representative to meet me during the last periods of class?" she asked, gentle but firm, with the patience of a saint. "I have a hectic routine, and I don't have the whole day." She pretended, but it didn't take long for her to resume her usual tone, with a suspicious itch in her mind. "By the way, who is your representative?"
"He's the leader of the Home Economics Club!" the short-haired one replied almost immediately.
"Alright, I think that information will be enough," she smiled, pleased with the information. 'Let's see, my good sir, what kind of person you'll be?' she thought in a mischievous tone. The smile might have gone unnoticed by the girls, but the way her lips curved suspiciously amused didn't escape the notice of the veteran still in the room. "Well, now I'll be finished my works. It was nice talking to you."
"Thank you, [Name]-Senpai!" they said their goodbyes with waves and wide, warm, and enthusiastic smiles.
"Bye-bye~" she said slowly, with a low wave, then disappeared with the loud bang of the door as the two freshmen walked away in the long school corridor. "Well, back to what matters..."
"What do you think you're doing? You have work to do!"
He watched incredulously as the girl circled the table completely devoid of her previous persona. If he didn't know her habits, would never believe she was the same person from a few seconds ago.
"Okay, and so what?" she asked, dismissing it.
"You can't just wander around like this!" he complained, frustrated with the secretary's indifference.
"I'll send someone in my place," she said, glancing away to the disorganized papers outside the folder, picking them up one by one. "Besides, it's not even your problem. I don't know why you bother so much."
"I don't want you tarnishing our reputation," he replied bluntly, pouring more coffee into his cup. "I work hard to give the impression that I do anything, unlike someone like you."
"Why all this disdain in your voice?" she suppressed a humorless laugh with the back of her hand.
"Even so!" he quickly changed the subject. "You don't even know what he wants. You can't just send someone in your place, or it'll be an endless game of indirect messages!"
"The messenger boys are precisely for that. I don't mind sending my assistant if necessary," she shrugged, impassive. "And we can always resort to bribery. Or blackmail."
"What a great example you set. If all honor students were like you, schools would be a perfect illustration of how the Cold War happened," he retorted.
"Come on, don't you have anything better to do?" she raised an eyebrow, annoyed.
"Besides scolding you? No."
"If that's the case, you could go in my place, since you're so idle," she prodded.
"No way."
"Really? What kind of honor student are you?" she asked, feigning hurt.
"Get real."
She grumbled discontentedly, almost offended, as she sighed in deep resignation.
"So, I'm out."
"Wait, are you serious?"
He looked at her in disbelief, but the girl maintained a serious expression focused on the materials she was storing in her bag. Almost professional - Yuuma dared to say.
"Meanwhile, wait. Some of my freshmen will come to clean up this mess," she said calmly and steadily, unlike her usual self. He knew her personality was challenging, but even the few times he saw her like this, he knew she was putting effort into with something in mind. "I'll talk to Mizushima; he needed to edit the material."
And she left, giving one last look at the guy in the room, Yuuma, he was shocked and wide-eyed like saucers.
'Your coffee is getting cold.' She said and indeed, the coffee had been cold for a while.

Almost 4:30 PM. Most students were putting away their shoes and belongings, ready to head out, finding their groups of friends for a leisurely walk home. However, [Name] was reviewing her homework, oblivious to the hurried steps and the commotion outside the school.
A waste of time and energy. Just carefree people spending their youth on fruitless things.
"Aren't you going home, [Name]? You're usually one of the first to leave," the vice-president asked, her gaze somewhat concerned as she rubbed her forearm, apprehensive.
It was noticeable that her side bag hung on her shoulder, and the usual animal-themed folder from some TV program was absent from the grip of her arms. She was leaving too.
"Sorry to be insinuating, Suzume, but... was that a criticism?" she asked, giving her a suggestive, meticulous look.
"No, not at all! I just thought something might be wrong," she mumbled, lowering her gaze to her shoes. Disconcerted.
'Spare me your concern - your pity'. She almost rolled her eyes. 'I don't need this.'
"No, it's okay," she sighed, lowering her eyes to the newly completely filled sheet. "I promised to wait for someone here after class, but I'll lock the door when I leave, if that's what worries you."
"That's a relief, thank you!" she said, clasping her hands, releasing a sigh filled with laziness and serenity. "Since everything is fine, I'll be going. See you tomorrow!"
She waved enthusiastically, leaving and closing the door slowly. She mimicked the gesture but lacked the Suzume's enthusiasm.
The room lacked its absolute silence when a faint knock sounded, several minutes after the vice-president left. Lazily, she murmured a "come in" the sound of her voice as she uttered the word was so low and weak that it would have been a frivolous action if not for the silence - disturbing.
Soon, the sound of the door slowly opening filled the quiet atmosphere. Not that she would openly comment on it, but for God's sake, someone urgently needed to put some lubricating oil on that door! That screeching noise was ear-piercing. Setting aside the thought, she raised her eyes from the homework notebook. Shamelessly giving a good look at the person - read: 'Troublemaker' - in an attempt to find out more about that... extravagant figure from the neighborhood.
'Eyebrow cuts and an earring... Let me guess, you have a tattoo? If so, where? - Maybe I can report him to the administration for breaking some dress code.' She thought to herself.
"You can sit there if you want," she indicated the front chair, adjusting her posture in the seat.
"No, thank you. I don't plan on taking much of your time," he politely declined, a small smile forming on his lips, convincing. "But I appreciate the gesture."
Muttered a prolonged "Hmm," almost judgmental. But she corrected that attitude with a light and casual smile.
"All right, let's get going then," she whistled in understanding, pulling out some newly acquired papers from the folder that until recently was an irrelevant item on the table. 'Here's my trump card.' "Takashi Mitsuya-san, correct?"
From the corner of her eye, she saw him raise his eyebrows - or what was left of them - in surprise. Without giving any cues to the subject, she continued:
"The leader of the Home Economics Club, and..." she put her index finger on her lips, making a dramatic and unnecessary pause.
"Did the girls tell you that?" he asked intrigued, but [Name] noticed how his shoulders relaxed with the mere possibility.
"Indeed, yes. But I have my sources," she shrugged, and for a moment, the boy felt insulted by the secretary's intrusion, but only a little. "Don't worry, I didn't see anything too personal. I just took a peek at your academic record."
"Isn't that an invasion of privacy?"
She almost wanted to laugh.
"Please, I'm part of the Student Council; invading other people's personal space is precisely my job," she mocked, as if it were obvious. "Besides, as the president says: 'It's all for a good cause.'"
She threw her forearm over the chair, turning a bit to face the figure standing a few steps from the door.
"But, putting the conversation aside, what do you want, really?" she finally asked. "forgive me, we lost track of the subject."
She could swear she saw him offer a brief prayer before responding.
"A portfolio."
Extending with one hand the authorization form that the secretary had assigned to the club representatives, lacking only the signature of a Student Council member.
"Excuse me?" Now she was genuinely confused, for the first time that day.
"I need your signature," he said straightforwardly, "right here."
"I can read," she grumbled, pulling the sheet from the guy's delicate hands to read it carefully, while he stared back at her with his dead-fish eyes (courtesy of the secretary's nickname).
"I can see," he teased, putting the playful banter aside, clearing his throat before continuing his speech. "As you can see, all the club members agree with the idea. We just need approval."
"What are you trying to saying?" She had to pretend not to be surprised by the information.
"That you are promoting the project," he deduced, making her widen her eyes with the irritatingly accurate accusation.
She gave a humorless laugh, almost as if she were raising a white flag of surrender. 'Looks like you got me.'
This is what happens when you work in the advertising field. Damn!
"All right, it seems there's nowhere to escape now," she admitted, looking away to the table, crossing her legs with a vacant look wandering around. "But... What makes you think I'll accept something like this? The school can't finance the materials, and don't even think the photography club will lend their things. If you want, you can talk to our treasurer, but I warn you they'll prefer to stick to the traditional yearbook."
"The project was independent from the beginning; the school won't spend anything on any of the other projects, and you know that," he pointed out. His patience was wearing thin. "Besides, some of the school's assets can be used by students; providing assistance during the project is a school obligation."
He's right again. So right it's annoying.
She took a deep breath without any shame before facing him with one of her smug smiles. Malicious, unfair.
"And what do I gain from this?" she sounded arrogant, almost a threat to the ears of others, resting her hand on her chin, seeking some composure after being unmasked, stripped, with her selfish exploits exposed.
Takashi looked at her with wide-open eyes, or maybe shocked?
"Let's suppose that, by chance, I help you... Do you know the precious time I'll lose providing assistance on your project? The newspaper won't write itself. As the president of the school newspaper, I say that this won't progress, and we'll all be disappointed in the end."
Spoke with her eyes fixed on the clear orbs of the delinquent.
"We can't abandon our priorities; I advise you to give up." She finalized.
"Since I came this far, I don't think giving up is an option," he countered. "And trust me, i can be persistent when I want."
"What do you plan? Remember that organizing something without the Student Council's authorization is equivalent to breaking the rules," she stood up, staring deep into his eyes. "But that doesn't affect you, does it? As a delinquent, you must be used to breaking the rules."
She practically spat out the word "delinquent."
"You really delved into my record, Secretary," he teased carelessly.
"As I said, and I'll repeat: it's part of my job."
"Is it also part of your job to dismiss any idea that doesn't suit you?" he raised an eyebrow with a small mocking smile. "Your attitude is a bit tyrannical, don't you agree, [Name]-san?"
He said, displaying his indifference, shifting to a sarcastic, almost mocking tone.
'This delinquent is laughing, laughing at me!'
'This can't happen, I can't allow this to happen!'
If one could describe the scene, it would be Takashi smiling while taking a selfie in front of a volcano erupting. Because one could never accurately describe with words how irritated - or offended? Or maybe both? - the girl was.
He was a bit surprised when he saw her lower her head, biting her lower lip. For a moment, he thought she was crying when he heard a low grumble. That's when she approached, marching in her shiny shoes, fists buried in the jacket pockets. With the look of someone about to commit an atrocity.
And she kept advancing. And advancing. To the point where he had to step back, only to hit the back against the corridor wall, realizing he had retreated all the way from inside the room to the corridor.
He was snapped out of his light reverie when he felt something hit violently against the wall. That's when he saw the secretary's shoe stuck in the wall, at the curve of his waist. Shocked, he couldn't help the surprise on his face. He wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she decided to punch him.
That's when she decided to break the silence:
"Exactly," she said, at a dangerous distance, blocking the delinquent's passage with her right leg. Takashi swallowed hard, staring back at her. "And what are you going to do about it, Sir?"

Hey, I don’t know if you have any requests or were planning to do anyone for character Tuesday but if you don’t mind, since you asked me to do Isogai for your ask game, I want to see you answer those questions for him if that’s alright
I was actually wondering who I should do, so I really appreciate the ask. ^^
Character Tuesday, Yuuma Isogai!
1 – Favorite color?
I'm actually borrowing this from my husband, but I think it really suits Isogai too. A soft medium brown, like a teddy bear, because it is warm, inviting, and nostalgic. It's comforting and safe and filled with joy and innocence. A nice and warm brown. 😊
2 – Hobbies?
Collecting and memorizing motivational quotes. Checking things off his to-do list, which makes him feel accomplished. Volunteering and helping people out in general.
3 – What are their strengths?
Superior time management skills, improved by his time in 3-E. Multi-tasker. Able to stay positive in even the darkest of situations, or to see the light at the end of any tunnel. Sympathetic.
4 – What are their weaknesses?
Takes on too much for a good cause. Prone to burnout if time isn't managed correctly. Thoughtful and hesitant when the situation demands immediate action.
5 – Favorite food(s)?
Free food.
6 – Least favorite food(s)?
Expensive food. 😆
7 – What would be their dream job?
Something that gives back to the community and provides for his family at the same time, like a job at a non-profit organization. I could also see him doing something that people rely on like a government job or construction. I don't see him doing anything big that gets a lot of attention like the authorities or a government official, but something smaller that most would overlook so he could subtly make a difference in the world.
8 – What is their DND alignment?
I think he is neutral good. It's not about following the rules and keeping your head down but making sure it is best for most people while keeping their wellbeing and needs in mind regardless of the consequences of that.
9 – What is their hidden talent?
It's not really hidden, but he's good at anticipating a person's needs. Like, scary good. I imagine there are countless instances of "I didn't know how much I needed this until you gave it to me." Oh, here's how I could make it "hidden". When he gets those customers at the cafe that say "whatever you think's good", he gets them something and it's exactly what they wanted, or it becomes their new favorite drink/dessert at the cafe. Like I said, scary good.
10 – List a personality quirk of this person.
In Kristmas Karma, he mentally goes through a list of things he needs to do and then mentally checks them off throughout the day, then writes a new one at night with added things and finished things removed. This accomplishes a few things: it's a good mental exercise, it helps with organization, because it's in his mind it's flexible with change, and it keeps him mentally active. I imagine his list is very important to him.
11 – List something strange/weird/unexpected about this character that their loved ones probably don’t know about them.
I think he knows and understands just how to hurt people. He has no desire to ever act on this information, but sometimes when Karma does something mean or Nakamura pranks Nagisa, Isogai appears embarrassed for them. I think this is because he knows how best to hurt someone, and this is why he's so good at avoiding it. It's the key to being a true Ikeman. Knowing how to hurt someone means you know exactly what not to do and how to avoid doing it accidentally. But that's also a bit dark, so I don't think anyone would ever know this about him.
12 – What is their complex? (Sister, inferiority, etc) Explain.
Okay, I have to look up the list of complexes literally every time I answer this. 😑 So this one is tricky. I can see others perceiving him to have the Messiah complex, which in an alternate definition refers to the state of mind in which an individual believes that they are responsible for saving or assisting others. I imagine he has this because of the responsibility he took on in the household at age 14 after he lost his father. But I can also see him having a Superman complex, which is an unhealthy sense of responsibility, and a person with this complex may feel the constant need to "save" others and take on more work to compensate than is necessary. I don't think it leads to a problem with pride or is overly serious in Isogai's case, because of his quirk of checking his own mental and physical wellbeing each day, but I don't think it's so far away that he doesn't have these complexes either. Of all the ones listed, these are definitely the ones I think he suffers from, at least to some extent.
13 – What is their main sin of the seven deadly ones?
Glutton. There's an interesting interpretation for this sin, it doesn't have to be for just food. You could be a glutton for punishment which can take many forms, one of them being the type to "do too much". Workaholics are gluttons, for work. Perfectionists are gluttons, for perfection. And Isogai is definitely a glutton for kind gestures and good deeds, to the point where if he or someone else doesn't help him regulate it, it could do a lot of damage to him physically, mentally and emotionally. I imagine he usually has a good handle on it though.
14 – How would they be as a parent?
He'd be an amazing dad, and I imagine it's his dream to have a nice big family some day. I think he'd wait to start one until his 30's or so because he'd want a nice amount of financial backing before he started it in case anything happened to him. I also think he'd classify anyone from 3-E as his kids' aunts and uncles just to make it that much bigger. I totally see him being the house that hosts giant gettogethers every year for the holidays.
15 – What is their main love language?
I wanted to say Touch, but honestly, I think it's Acts of Service. I was initially going to say Touch, but then I thought of how I wrote him in Kristmas Karma. I remember him being so thankful to Sugaya for getting him art supplies for his little sister and Karasuma helping out with his charity project, and that's Acts all the way. They say that it's harder to see people who have the same love language as you, so that's probably why I want to say Touch instead of Acts, even if it doesn't really make sense to say Touch. 😅
16 – How do they act around a crush?
It depends. I can see him being a little dense about his own feelings initially, but if he knows, I think he'd make it a point to do something for them every day. It can be as small as letting the person keep his eraser after forgetting their own or buying them gloves because they never seem to have any. (Quoting @heyhellohihowareyou's fanfic, Mittens.) But I do think he'd try to do something every day.
17 – How do they act when they are in love?
It'd be a lot like 16 but amped up. Instead of one thing, it'd be anything he could think of to make their lives easier without being overbearing (which is important).
18 – How would they react to a confession of love?
I think very politely. I can see him thanking them and saying how special it makes him feel, but also he'd be modest about it. Afterwards though, if he has any feelings of his own for this person, this is how he would become aware of them, in my opinion.
19 – How do they show their love/affection?
Lots of cuddles and spending generous amounts of time with them. It really wouldn't matter what they do, as long as they're together. 😊
20 – What is their idea of a good time?
Something relaxing or fun. Family game nights, a solitary stroll in the park, meeting friends at an amusement park, going to the beach with someone he loves. Whatever has him outside and enjoying life is time well spent, in his mind.
21 – Describe their ideal date.
I think his ideal date is something where he nor his date has to lift a single finger. I can see him planning out every last detail, a driver, a fancy restaurant, a trusted friend willing to act as their butler for everything else, and all he and his date have to do is simply enjoy each other's company. You know, because everything else is taken care of, so they have all the time in the world to pay attention to what's important, each other.
22 – How do they handle drama?
I think he does his best to either stay out of the way or play peace keeper. In a lot of ways, I see him as a self insert mediator for just about any situation that calls for it.
23 – What is their sexual preference/sexuality?
I strongly feel he is a hetero demi-sexual. Because of his strong family values and being in Japan, he would only be interested in girls he was emotionally invested in, like a friends to lovers type thing.
24 – What is their BDSM tag? (Brat, sub, Master, vanilla, etc)
Isogai is very versatile and I usually use BDSM tags to explain their general dynamics with others in relationships, but honestly, I'd have to label him as Vanilla, not just because he doesn't have any kinks (standard use of BDSM tags) but because he doesn't mind being the controller or controllee in any situation. He's flexible, he could be top or bottom, he can lead or follow, and he's happy as long as his partner's happy. So, I guess Vanilla just means versatile when it comes to my alternate use of BDSM tags.
25 – What is their phobia or greatest fear?
It's a small thing, but I think it's the unlived life. Part of it is because he lost his father, but since Isogai's responded quite well in my opinion, I think his father made sure to enjoy every moment with his family. He probably played games and volunteered and always wore a genuine smile. Isogai would feel bad for anyone that didn't get to love life so much, and I think he'd be afraid of also not having fun in his. That's why I added the quirk in Kristmas Karma of him checking his own wellbeing and state of mind every morning. If he's not happy, then why is he doing it? I think it's really important to him to enjoy life, even if it's busy.
26 – What is their emotional damage?
I'm taking from my own experience in this case, so here's a little of my backstory. When I lost my mom, I actually got a 4.0 that semester. I had ambitions and goals and so many classes (I was in college) I was ready to take. It wasn't until the first anniversary of her death that it hit me. And it really hit. Just suddenly, I missed her. I didn't do so well that semester and barely scraped by. My ambitions disappeared. I couldn't do anything. And then the month of May (which also contained her birthday AND Mother's Day) became a month where I learned to take it easy. Don't pick up extra projects, don't make goals, and expect to be unexpectedly sad some days. I can definitely see Isogai going through something similar around his father's death day. He'd be more prone to zoning out, forget items on his list, completely skip adding or removing things from it and just being completely unorganized. But like every season, it will fade and all will return to normal, but each year, that dark cloud would return. It wouldn't matter how many years passed by either. I think his father was probably the first major loss he ever experienced, and thus would leave the biggest mark on his heart.
27 – How do they handle emotional pain?
It might sound weird, but I think he'd make time for it on in his schedule by putting it on his list. It's important to feel emotions, and avoiding them would effect his emotional and mental wellbeing, so there must be time for it. I doubt it works out that smoothly though. 🤔
28 – How do they handle physical pain?
Okay, so, honestly? I think he's a big baby. He'd be the guy putting up a front like "I'm fine!" while balling his eyes out. "It doesn't hurt at all!" *Floods the room with his tears. Makes you just want to bandage it up and give him a big hug and kiss it all better. However, I also think that if the moment called for it, he'd would just brush it off in the moment and cry about it later. I just imagine him as one big squish. 😊 But I also see him doing his best to make light of it too, so as not to inconvenience others with it.
Example: Isogai: "It's fine, really!" Person: "YOUR ARM IS BROKEN!!!" Isogai: "It only hurts a little!" *Tears cascading down his smiling face. "Okay, maybe a little more than a little."
29 – What would bring them to kill someone?
He is one of the few people that would rather sacrifice himself than to kill someone else. In 3-E, he truly tried taking down Korosensei, but the more his teacher evaded their traps, the more he believed he actually couldn't kill him, which in turn made him try harder, but I imagine there was always something in the back of his head that hoped Korosensei would just keep escaping death. Something like "well darn, I missed him again. Wouldn't you know it." *Snaps fingers and stomps foot, an obvious act. I just don't see him having it, that desire to take life, even if it meant losing his own.
30 – How would they react or change after they’ve killed someone? To go along with 29, if he were to take out Korosensei, it would break him. I think he'd become catatonic or mutter to himself over and over "why didn't he dodge it like he always does?" and he wouldn't get over it. Korosensei is a unique kill because it would keep the rest of the world safe in the process, but literally no one else would be worth so many lives for him to justify killing them himself. So if it were anyone but Korosensei, he would never recover either. I think he'd replay it over and over in his head. It would haunt him. He'd lose sleep. He'd obsess over what else he could've done besides killing them. Now, it's different if someone else were to kill someone. Because Isogai strikes me as the forgiving type, he could forgive a murderer, but he couldn't forgive himself for becoming one if there was another way.
As always, I hope I did him justice. Thanks for the ask! And if anyone else would like me to do the whole ask game (or just part of it) for someone I haven't done, let me know or send in an ask. I seem to have trouble picking my own lately. No idea why.
Have a good day!

Characters see the advertisement for the game show and contemplate going on it. The winner gets a million dollars! Prologue 2- Introduction to characters via their audition videos, part 1. Kiyoteru chooses contestants. Prologue 3- Introduction to characters via their audition videos, part 2. Kiyoteru chooses contestants. Episode 1- Everyone arrives at Total Drama Island and meets each other. Some get along, and many clash. Notable big-drama-causers include Tei, Eleanor, Dandy, Parsec, Cider, Merli sometimes, and Zatsune sometimes. Koto, Genbu, Ritsu, Haiyi, Daina, and Dex stick out for being especially wild. But really, everyone’s unique personality contributes to the drama and pot of chemistry in their own way. Another camper who sticks out is Gakupo Kamui, who enthusiastically boasts about his skills in martial arts and how ready he is to win Total Drama Island. He begins to get on the nerves of the other campers. “I can out-run, out-kick, out-sing, out-wit, and even out-PISS anybody else here.” Gakupo says. “Well, can you do us a favor and GET-out?” Meiko says. Episode 2- Campers have to jump off a one thousand-foot cliff into a shark-infested lake. Then they have to pull some crates back to camp, and the team from before with the most people who jumped get carts to help them. Then they have to build a hot tub from material found in the crates. The team with the best hot tub wins the challenge. The campers who were too scared to jump off the cliff have to wear chicken costumes for the rest of the day. Despite his incessant bragging previously, Gakupo is one of the few campers who does not jump off the cliff, because it is revealed he is scared of heights, sharks, AND deep water! He even pisses himself and dramatically faints when he gets close to the edge of the cliff... and then he faints off the cliff! However, his jump isn’t accounted for, because Gakupo was not conscious during his fall. Luka has to be the one to jump in after and rescue him! This causes Gakupo of The Dangerous Dolphins to be the first campter voted off. “Well… I guess he was right about out-pissing everyone here.” Neru laughs. The other campers too scared to jump are Taya, Dandy, Eleanor, Clara, Muxin, Chris, and Kaito. Haku is at first too scared, but her best friend Neru encourages her to be brave. They jump together and yell funny things on the way down. Even though Eleanor is scared, she ends up going over anyway after Chiyu pushes her off the cliff, being sick of Eleanor’s arrogance. However, it isn’t even accounted for, because Eleanor did not jump by her own will. Clara is too frightened and doesn’t make the jump, which is surprising, because she was so enthusiastic before. However, her boyfriend Bruno jumped without her… Taya takes one look down the cliff and starts backing away, crying from fear. He feels ashamed that he’s so scared, but he cannot help it. He gets pats on the back from Clara. Dandy makes an excuse as to why he can’t jump. He says he has an open wound from a fencing accident. In reality, Dandy does not fence. Muxin is too scared, but asserts that he doesn’t have to jump off the cliff if he doesn’t want to, and that the challenge is ridiculous. He then comforts Taya, who is curled up sobbing, and tells him not to feel shame. Taya and Muxin become friends, but sadly are on different teams. Chris is too scared and actually starts crying too. People don’t expect it. Kaito is scared to jump, panics and makes a bit of a scene, and is then picked on and belittled by his brother Akaito for the rest of the day. Kaito then vows he will become braver from here on. Braver, and stronger! Leeds actually does jump from the cliff, but it causes her heart to become weak and she has trouble walking for the rest of the day. Some of the members on her team rudely deem her a nuisance, but others tell her to take it easy and understand her. Afterwards, Clara gets a bit sour at Bruno, who is her boyfriend, for jumping the cliff without noticing she was too scared. Koto jumps the cliff and she actually has fun. But afterwards, she wears a chicken suit anyway, because she loves birds. Episode 3- The challenge is to stay awake the longest in the "Awake-A-Thon" after running twenty-kilometers and eating a huge meal that includes turkey, which is known for making people sleepy. Dell of The Killer Porpoises gets voted off for falling asleep first. He generally has a bad attitude and is apathetic. Haku feels heartbroken because Total Drama Island was the first time she had seen Dell since her parents’ divorce (by complete chance, even,) and he is not the warm person he used to be. Also, the time was so short. But unexpectedly, Dell acts nice to Haku right before he leaves, calling her to his room when he’s packing to go off the island. They have a nice conversation. Before Haku says goodbye, Dell says “Listen, I’m just not cut out for this wacky game. So you better win. I KNOW you can do it.” Haku begins crying and hugs Dell. Just like when they were kids. There will eventually be a list of who falls asleep first to last, but that’s quite convoluted. So I will say Dell falls asleep first, and Ruko second. Campers were not allowed to drink coffee during the challenge, rendering our Long Sleeper without access to her “secret weapon.” Koto stays up the longest, because she is a bird lover and loves birds too much to consume them. She was the only one who didn’t eat any turkey with her meal, and therefore didn’t become as sleepy. Also simply because she is badass and feral. Episode 4- A best-of-five dodgeball game. Five people are randomly chosen on each team. This is repeated three times for a total of three rounds of dodgeball. The Dangerous Dolphins win 2 out of 3 games. Zatsune of The Killer Porpoises gets voted off for being scared of dodgeball. It was a fear ingrained into her from her elementary school days, when the “dodgeball kids would bully her.” Sadly, since Zatsune always acts so cocky, nobody feels much sympathy now. Taya and Muxin want to spend time with each other. Being on different teams, they can’t, and are deemed traitors. But when Tei, on Taya’s team, suggests Taya could get valuable information about the other team via Muxin, Taya refuses to sabotage their friendship. This causes Tei to begin picking on Taya… Episode 5- A three-on-three talent show contest. Dex of The Killer Porpoises gets voted off for no reason. He wasn’t even in the talent show! Dandy wanted to get chosen by his team, the Dangerous Dolphins, to be in the talent show, claiming his “talent” was unmatched. However, he wasn’t chosen because he didn’t exactly have any real actual skills despite his claim! Taya, Luka, and Gumi are eventually chosen by the Dangerous Dolphins for their talents in music. Luka will play piano, Taya will play the violin, and Gumi will play the electric bass as they all sing a song cover. This causes Dandy to criticize their every note and call them amateur. Given Taya and Gumi’s low self-esteem, Dandy’s criticism gets to them before the final talent show. As for the Killer Porpoises, Yuuma, Ritsu, and IA get chosen as the team’s musicians. They form more of an idol dance group, with a pre-recorded background track. (It will also be a cover.) The Dangerous Dolphins actually win. If they were to have lost, Dandy would’ve probably been the one voted off for being a prick. Episode 6- Campers have to go to the forest, stay out there overnight, then race back to the campgrounds in the morning. Yukari of the Killer Porpoises gets voted off. See, it wasn’t really Yukari’s fault, but… she got attacked by a bear and is now too injured to stay for the game, so the voting off was mandatory, even though the Killer Porpoises otherwise won. Everyone becomes more-or-less traumatized at this, and feel very hurt for Yukari. Episode 7- Campers have to face their worst fear, specific to each camper. Yuuma gets voted off. Koto’s worst fear is the perfume department from Spongebob, because that scene scarred her as a little kid. So the host of the game show, Kiyoteru, magically opens a door to the perfume department at a real department store and Koto has to walk through it. Koto only makes it 5 steps in before she runs out, screaming. She does not pass her fear test! Yuuma is scared of the Crab Rave because there are too many crabs. So he is taken to a part of the island overrun by crabs, and Kiyoteru turns on the Crab Rave song and they all start dancing. Yuuma dives into the water screaming. But the crabs chase him. He doesn’t pass his fear test. Taya attempts to outwit Kiyoteru and pretends he is afraid of strawberry shortcake, which is actually his favorite food. But everyone remembers how scared he was in the first challenge at the cliff. So Taya’s specific challenge is to jump off the cliff this time… Episode 8- Row a canoe to Boney Island, portage across the island, start a bonfire, and canoe back to camp. Wil gets voted off. Episode 9- Hunt the other team dressed as deers with paintball guns, or if one is a deer, avoid being hit by them. Piko gets voted off. Episode 10- Create a three-course meal for Kiyoteru to judge. Three chefs are chosen from each team. Miku gets voted off. Episode 11- Participate in a set of three-out-of-five trust exercises. Shian gets voted off. Episode 12- Make it through Big Al’s life-threatening and disgusting boot-camp challenges. IA gets voted off. Episode 13- Participate in three extreme sport challenges. The challenges are "sofa skydiving", riding a moose while avoiding being tossed off it, and water-skiing on mud. Lapis gets voted off. Episode 14- Eat a nine course meal of disgusting food made by Big Al. Drink shot glasses of blended cockroaches. Yuu gets voted off. Episode 15- Episode 16- Episode 17- Episode 18- Episode 19- Episode 20- Episode 21- Episode 22- Episode 23- Episode 24- Episode 25- Episode 26- Episode 27- Episode 28- Episode 29- Episode 30- Episode 31 Episode 32- Episode 33- Episode 34- Episode 35- Episode 36- Episode 37- Episode 38- Episode 39- Episode 40- Episode 41- Episode 42- Episode 43- After this challenge, the teams are disbanded. It’s now every camper for themself. Episode 44- Get through several rounds of torture, lasting at least ten seconds in each one. Eleanor gets voted off because she can’t take torture. Episode 45- Receive a clue to find a key hidden somewhere in the island to open a treasure chest containing a prize. Ritsu found a dud chest and his prize was… getting voted off. Episode 46- Avoid getting sprayed by Big Al’s water gun in a game of hide and seek. Parsec gets voted off. Good riddance! Episode 47- Build a bike from scratch, and then race it. Who rides who’s bike? Anyway, Dandy gets voted off. Probably because he’s 7 foot 4 and huge. He probably broke all the bikes. Episode 48- Watch a horror movie and then avoid being captured by a "deranged killer". Gumi gets voted off because she was scared. Episode 49- Catch the specific animal assigned by Kiyoteru and bring it back to the campground unharmed. Taya had to bring back a raccoon. He came back first. Koto had to bring back a bear. She came back second. What a total beast! And I’m talking about KOTO! Genbu had to bring back an eagle. He came back third. Leeds had to bring back a frog. She came back fourth. Kaito had to being back a squirrel. He came back fifth. Haku had to bring back a moose. She came back sixth. Tei gets sent off because she couldn’t bring back a mere chipmunk. The little chipmunk was trained in king-fu and ended up beating her up! Hooray! Episode 50- Compete in the following while handcuffed to one of the other campers: eat disgusting food with your hands behind your back while the person handcuffed to you feeds you, return a fragment of Haku’s cursed tiki idol to Boney Island, and assemble a totem pole with the wooden heads of the voted out campers in the order that they are eliminated. Taya gets voted off. Episode 51- Campers have to find Kiyoteru and Big Al after being washed away by a storm. Leeds gets voted off because her condition came to its worse. Her weak heart had finally failed on her and she suffered a heart attack. She was doing so good in the game despite her shortcomings, and will serve as an inspiration for many. Leeds will not die. She is in good hands. She will get top medical care. Now, a twist is revealed to the audience. Everyone who was voted off actually went to go to a beautiful island resort. The remaining campers still don’t know about this. When Leeds finally gets consciousness back, she finds she is in paradise. At first, she thinks she is dead. The room then fills up with everyone else voted off, and she begins crying. “They really killed you?” She cries. “No, Leeds!” Yukari says. “You’re alive! You made it… to Paradise Island!” Episode 52- An episode dedicated to the Island of Losers, which is actually a five-star island resort paradise. Yukari has fully recovered from her injuries. Gakupo and all the others who were eliminated early finally get their time to shine! The losers will also be involved in the episodes to come, as they will be the audience. Episode 53- The campers have to find their way back to camp after being left in the wild with limited supplies. Unexpectedly, our total beast, Koto Fuuga, comes back last. Rumors have it, this is because she found a bird sanctuary and got distracted. Episode 54- Survive a series of dares, given by the eliminated campers until someone drops out. Haku is forced to do something horrible by Tei. Tei dares Haku to joke around and portray offensive stereotypes. On national TV. She just can’t do it… She drops out, but not before insulting Tei to her face. But Kaito says Haku made the right choice. She sacrificed her chance to win a million dollars so that Tei didn’t have to force her to make a choice that could hurt people when they see it on TV. Kaito thinks Haku deserves an amazing consolation prize. Genbu respects Haku for this as well. Episode 55- The two remaining campers have to climb a pole and retrieve a flag, walk across a board on top of shark-infested waters while carrying an eagle's egg, and run a race to cross the finish line. Kaito is about to give up… but… There is ice cream at the finish line! Kaito makes a mad dash to the finish line and wins Total Drama Island!! Episode 56- Kaito won! But there is a twist. In order to actually win the million dollars, he has to find the a case containing the $1,000,000 and bring it to the Dock of Shame before anyone else does! This is a race between him and all the other campers! If any of the other campers being it to the Dock of Shame before Kaito, there will be a whole second season of Total Drama Island, and Kaito will have to win all over again before he gets his million dollars… ———Teams——— ———The Dangerous Dolphins——— Taya Chiyu Meiko Kyo Koto Tei Momo Neru Akaito Clara Gakupo Gumi Shian Dandy Luka Merli Daina Haiyi Lily Len Amy Ken SeeU Cider Teto Haku Uta ———The Killer Porpoises——— Yuuma Zatsune Mew Eleanor Ruby Dell Kaito Ruko Ritsu Wil Leeds Genbu Dex Bruno Iroha Miku Piko IA Chris Kaori Yuu Parsec Rin Lapis Yukari Aku Muxin ———Notable relationships——— Familial- Akaito and Kaito are brothers. »»———————— ♡ ————————««
The vibrations of the electric bass embraced him the second he stepped through the door. It was too loud to hear the metal fall back into its lock, but the moment it did, Dabi felt as if he was caught in a vacuum, the verberation of the sound running through bones and muscles, as well as the staples holding his skin together. To him, loud music always was like an annoying visit at the doctor's; a tearing and mauling at his whole being, but he appreciated the effect of drowning out his thoughts with it just like he appreciated sedation before getting operated on.
With his eyes focused forward, he navigated the dark hallway towards the center of the club where the action was happening. Dabi didn't want to get caught in people's stares, having no business with the curious onlookers. He had a mirror at home. He knew how he looked, but he wasn't there to ruin anyone's day, and it wasn't Halloween either, so he didn't bother convincing anyone that he was as bad as he seemed. Especially not with there being not one innocent soul visiting the night club, so it wasn't like he was misplaced in there. Neon lights were the only thing illuminating the place occasionally, spotlights projecting them onto the ground in circles and sways, much like the moving bodies on the dancefloor.
Green, Blue, Purple. Those colors were all he could see, aside from the occasional white shirt. All around him, people were trying to forget about the shitty week that laid behind them, but Dabi couldn't be bothered to even recognize their faces in the dark mass. Everyone here only came for a few reasons: Drink and dance their night away with what the club had to offer. Perhaps have an intimate encounter that wouldn't be as meaningful anymore in the morning as they painted it out to be with their intoxicated minds.
However, at least for Dabi, there really was an actual meaning to his visit.
He touched his coat, falling over his chest right above his heart, and felt the stiff resistance waiting for him there in the form of a box sitting in the inside pocket. Luckily, his clothes weren't a tight fit, or someone may have already noticed the small bulge and tried to ask about what he could offer. Getting high quickly and forget their worries was all those people cared about. They weren't aware that Dabi wasn't selling any kind of drugs to them that would take them up to the heavens, but rather, down below.
Unbothered by the bodies bumping into him, letting out annoying cheers and sloppy singing, he pushed through the dancers, making his way towards the polished counter of the bar. One glance at him was enough to make people back away, no matter how upset they were that Dabi interrupted their special dance moves. Thus he was quickly able to reach his goal without interruptions. Still, not without him thinking about how much nicer it was, that he didn't have to walk through so many annoyances every time he came to visit, though.
Patrons leaning against the bar moved away with disgusted looks, making space for the villain who gladly took the free room to assert himself at the counter. It wasn't like Dabi was forcing anyone away. It also wasn't his business that he was losing by scaring away the chatty drinkers, so their reactions merely put a smile on his face, making even the most stubborn stud scramble away in fear. It might have been the most terrifying expression they had ever seen, despite Dabi being in a relatively good mood.
He was quickly recognized by one of the bartenders - a newbie he assumed, with a neckline too deep for someone who served drinks out of passion - who gave him a hesitant, frightened look before approaching. Dabi merely shook his head as she asked what he wanted, and he could watch her shoulders fall in relief that she'd not have to serve him. Instead, he pointed at her co-worker, who was tending to the customers on the other end of the bar.
"Yuuma?" she asked. Her voice was meek and mellow, nothing you'd expect in such a loud environment. Perhaps it was her hook to appear cutesy and gain more tips, but it didn't impress Dabi at all. Thankfully she leaned close enough, having her bosom squeeze onto the neatly polished countertops, so even he was able to hear her. "Be a doll and call him," Dabi requested, still smiling as if he had no care in the world, adding a briefly considered, "--and a drink. Something rough."
Hesitant at first, she leaned back before raising her finger as to say, "One moment, please," and took off like a race car. Speed was apparently her skill, Dabi figured, after all that she lacked in customer service. However, what a good girl she was, running right up to her superior, pulling him away from taking an order as if lives depended on it. Dabi watched her lips move, and Yuuma's brows wrinkle as he probably tried to make out what she was saying through the noise, glancing up only as she pointed into the villain's direction. With a playful wave, Dabi made sure the young bartender's eyes would find him despite the neon lights moving left and right, and it was a delight to see Yuuma's eyes widen as he finally spotted his customer.
Ushering her to take over the orders he was doing, Yuuma marched - menacingly so, how Dabi experienced it - into his direction, not even looking as he pulled one of the bottles out of the lit open cabinets at the back of the bar, taking it with him. Snatching a glass from under the counter, it certainly wasn't careful how Yuuma placed it in front of him, but the loud bang fit in perfectly with the music. Whatever he poured for Dabi, he did so quickly, to the point it slopped out of the glass again, making Dabi grin a little more.
"You? In one piece?" was the first thing Yuuma threw at him as he leaned in for a talk.
"I always knew you liked me better when I bleed," Dabi chuckled back, taking the glass from the bartender. The pungent smell of alcohol stung in his nose, but the drink he was handed was as good as anything on his tongue. It tasted all the more delicious since Yuuma served it to him.
Yuuma scrunched up his nose at the statement, the nights spent patching up Dabi having left a sour taste on his memories. Not like it was the villain's fault per se, but Yuuma probably saw more disgusting insights on Dabi's body than Dabi was aware of. Regaining his composure, Yuuma only shook his head lightly as Dabi took another sip of his drink, their conversation fading out with the electro beats booming all around them.
Still, Dabi caught the nervous glance Yuuma threw to the sides, not bothering with counting how many patrons replied with their uncertainty in return. "It's weird you'd come at this time. You usually- well, you never come this early. There isn't a shipment today either, is there?"
The neon lights shining into Yuuma's green eyes reflected a visible discomfort, even though Dabi could barely understand why. It wasn't like he was the only bad guy in this whole club, yet, Yuuma seemed to get cautious now that he was around. However, being stared at by a lovely face like Yuuma's, Dabi wasn't even complaining over the wrinkled forehead despite knowing he was in for a scolding.
"Can't I just come to enjoy some... Well..." Dabi cheered the glass in his hand into Yuuma's direction, shoulders shrugging. Thinking of adding, "... and seeing you?" to his words, Dabi bit back the flirt, even though he couldn't keep the corners of his mouth from jerking upwards.
"No… Yes- I mean--" Watching as Yuuma fidgeted for words before sighing, pressing his fingers into his forehead as if he was counteracting a headache, Dabi couldn't help but feel the bubbling emotions in his stomach. Looking at Yuuma was to Dabi what looking at puppies was to some people. He could put on the most serious, I-am-the-doctor-and-you-are-the-patient face, and Dabi still found joy in the many emotions showing that Yuuma wasn't even aware of.
"Not sure if you used a mirror lately, but your looks are downright scary, man," he reminded the villain, and Dabi could barely keep himself from beaming a smile in his direction. Of course he knew the true intentions behind Yuuma's words. Still, Dabi neither was superficial nor very interested in other people's opinions, so he chose a reply that would be more beneficial to both of them.
"Thanks, I thought I looked really handsome today too. That makes two of us then~"
Driving his free hand through his hair and brushing it back for a better look at him, Dabi let the tease sit in with Yuuma first, the bartender's brows raising in confusion before his expression sunk in annoyance. If Dabi imagined it strongly enough, he believed he saw a slight flustered shine on Yuuma's cheeks, though it would be hard to prove with the insufficient lighting in the club. Had it been any other situation, Yuuma might have bit back with an appropriate reply, but with an arm raising nearby the two, his attention on Dabi was momentarily distracted, reminding him he couldn't stand around for too long and do nothing.
Dabi merely acknowledged the shifting focus of his favorite bartender by taking another sip from his glass, unhappy that their flirting was interrupted. Clinking the glass on the counter, it drew Yuuma's attention back, his face instantly becoming more serious while Dabi let him know quietly he wanted a refill, which Yuuma complied to reluctantly.
"You can't stay here," Yuuma finally pressed out. It was the more polite way of saying 'Get the fuck out', but Dabi appreciated the sentiment he felt as Yuuma tried to treat him nicely. After all Dabi did for him and the money the villain spent on Yuuma's little side business, he still had the manners to not anger his customers no matter how pesky Dabi was. It was almost too much for Dabi's ashen heart to see how hard it was for Yuuma to juggle being respectful, the stress of bartending all night, and the annoyance over Dabi's presence. Usually, Yuuma was such a composed, snarky little medic with no bedside manner, and Dabi adored him for it. But this certainly was refreshing, and Dabi could barely wait to experience more new sights of his darling Yuuma.
"My presence bothering you much?" he asked teasingly, grabbing his glass and taking a step back from the counter. "Can't be helped then. I don't want you to lose your job just because you can't get away from me. You don't mind if I wait in the back, right? You're going to close up soon anyway, and I got to talk to you."
"H-Hey!" Yuuma yelled after Dabi, who turned around without waiting for an answer. Passing by the patrons lined up at the counter, he saw Yuuma trying to catch his attention from the corner of his eyes and chose to ignore him rather than confront. Dabi immensely enjoyed being able to witness his usually so stoic and often tired little medic all lively, and even a bit riled up, deciding in that very moment that he made the right decision to come in when the club was still booming. It was different and not as intimate as the patch-up dates they had before, but he liked it nonetheless.
Taking a surprised, sharp breath, Dabi had to balance out the alcohol swapping from one side to the other as his shirt suddenly got grabbed, turning him around. Yuuma's expression was almost furious. Absolutely adorable even. Dabi didn't know he could slip out of the bar that quickly, but it was a pleasant surprise to come face to face with Yuuma.
"Don't do anything stupid," he hissed as he reached for Dabi's free hand, slapping the keys to the backdoors into it. "And don't touch anything."
"Gotcha," Dabi agreed, letting the keyring dangle from his finger. He had expected it to be a little bit more extravagant, but perhaps he had overestimated Yuuma's taste when it came to key accessories, only two keys and a small flask-like trinket dangling from it. "Touch everything and wreak havoc. I won't disappoint."
And with that, Dabi was gone, leaving behind a Yuuma who already regretted letting the villain enter his more or less private quarters.
The moment he stepped through the backdoor, the music volume toned down. Not enough to disappear, but at least to hear his own thoughts again. So far, so good, he told himself, marching down the small hallway. There weren't too many doors, just a walk-in fridge, the locker room for the employees, and the much-anticipated storage room Yuuma used for himself, next to the back exit at the end of the hallway. Dabi chose to wait where Yuuma would probably expect him to go anyway - his room.
Setting down his drink on top of the dresser to his right, he approached the make-shift bed first, plopping down onto the old, saggy mattress. He made it. He actually made it. Not like Dabi had an underlying suspicion that his plan would fail so early on, but gaining access to the back was still an achievement to him. Only once before had Yuuma allowed him entrance to this place, but now, Dabi had made his way back here. Laying his head to the side, he eyed the pillow, letting his fingers reach out to it. He pulled it towards him, held it in front of his chest, squishing the soft material inside.
It was tempting him. It really was.
Bringing it up to his face, Dabi muffled himself in the fabric, taking a deep breath. He imagined how Yuuma slept on this pillow every night, happy to smother his stress and worries in it for a few hours of sleep in return. Taking another deep inhale, he wanted to believe that the smell filling his nose and lungs was that of Yuuma, and not just this damp little room. At least, it was the closest he ever came to his little medic in terms of intimacy, so he wasn't very picky.
Reluctantly, he put the pillow aside again, tossing it recklessly on top of the folded blanket. Not like he wanted to upset Yuuma by throwing around his objects, but at the same time, Dabi was one step ahead. It wasn't like Yuuma would need this pillow anymore, in a long, long time. Standing up again, Dabi came to a halt in front of a rather large dresser. Of course, he'd be good. He promised that. Dabi knew how much Yuuma was attached to all the vials and medicine he had, so at least the chemistry set on top of the dresser was something Dabi would refrain from touching.
Everything else, however, was fair game.
Pulling open the first drawer, Dabi expected the clothes arranged inside. It had a subtle order, but even though Yuuma tried, it was clear that he wasn't as careful when pulling out things, causing the clothes to be wrinkled and muddled. Browsing through the few shirts and hoodies Yuuma owned, Dabi pulled out one that caught his eyes, a black tank top with the font "dumbasses don't interact" in capital letters written on the front. Peculiar, but Dabi liked that. Cramming it into his coat pocket, he decided he'd ask Yuuma to wear that at a later point in time. Under… better conditions.
Below that drawer was another one containing various things from underwear and socks to some personal items. With delighted amusement, Dabi explored this drawer, very interested to see what kind of items the rather minimalistic Yuuma would hold on to, but of course, the luring of the underwear came first. Aside from mismatched socks, Dabi let out a chuckle as he felt lace beneath his fingertips, very happy to latch onto this feeling. Forth came black briefs, partly translucent from the lace, and Dabi was smitten with his find. Who'd known that his usually so casual Yuuma would own something so daring?
That was definitely another keeper, he decided, pushing it down the other coat pocket. Dabi was about to give his attention to the items on the right side of the drawer next when his ears perked up. All of a sudden, the drumming beats inside the club shut off, and it got quiet. He couldn't have been in this room for long. Sure, he had taken his time with everything he did, but it had barely been a few minutes. Yet, without the beat of the music hammering in the back of his head, Dabi knew the club was closing down. It wouldn't be long now until Yuuma returned, especially not when he knew Dabi was here waiting for him.
Making haste, Dabi finally pulled out the small box he had hid on the inside of the coat. The silver box resembled the ones Yuuma used to sell his drugs, but the pills inside were different from those that enhanced quirks. Fishing for his glass, Dabi took a big swig, making it look like he had been drinking calmly while he waited. Still, he left enough to share it with his hardworking friend.
Giving the burning alcohol a second to stop hurting his tastebuds, Dabi had to pinch his eyes close as it took it's sweet time to disappear. For someone who liked to play with fire as much as Dabi did, it was almost funny to experience the burns on his tongue and down his throat, but he shook his head quickly, hoping it would lessen the experience after all. Fiddling with the box in one hand, he opened it, reaching for one of the pills inside. Over the glass, he twisted open the capsule, discarding it inside the box once it was empty. Even if it didn't matter, he wasn't into leaving more evidence than necessary.
Mixing the contents inside the glass with one another by swirling around the alcohol, Dabi almost had to laugh about the irony. The pill dealer getting drugged seemed ironic to the villain, despite this having been the plan from the very beginning. In some way, Yuuma had it coming for him. Even if he had rather good intentions, he just had to take the wrong path that would lead him to people like Dabi. That wasn't something he was going to get out of ever again, so now it was up to Dabi to help him out. After all, the longer he stayed in the business, the more likely it was that Yuuma would end up hurt or with someone much worse than just the fire-loving sociopath.
That was something Dabi would never be able to accept.
He had assumed that Yuuma would show up any second from now on, but it surprised Dabi nonetheless when the door suddenly got pulled open, Yuuma's grim-looking face appearing in the doorframe. He must have really hurried, a thought that made Dabi's heart skip a beat. Dabi barely had enough time to hide the silver box in his pocket again. Still, not wanting to raise Yuuma's suspicion, he quickly slipped it into his coat pocket, trying to look as innocent as possible. Finally alone with him, Dabi smiled a sincere, joyful smile, welcoming him with a merry, "Welcome home!"
"So, what's your reason for showing up?" Yuuma asked, coming right to the point. He passed by Dabi, shoving the second drawer that wasn't shut entirely after Dabi had to hurry, close. If Yuuma knew he had been going through his stuff was a puzzle to the villain, but Yuuma didn't question it, and Dabi didn't persist in knowing that yet.
"Been a long day, huh?" he avoided his question, holding out his drink to Yuuma. "Calm down, I'm not here to upset you."
It was a peace offering. As simple as that. Yuuma's eyes met Dabi's, searching for any lies and malicious intent. "I need to talk about the next shipment for the League. That's all," Dabi tried to reassure him, urging the glass towards him once more. Hearing that, Yuuma's tension finally fell off, and he sighed, expecting to hear about losses for his business if Dabi was here to change the amount he ordered. And to get through that without losing his mind over how he'll pay the bills for the club, he really could need a drink.
Taking the glass from Dabi's hand, he didn't miss a second to take a swig, remembering too late what kind of alcohol he had given to his customer. The damage being done to his throat, Yuuma could only cough, giving back the glass to Dabi, who laughed over his reaction as if he didn't have the same one before. However, against his expectations, Yuuma watched how Dabi merely put down the glass on the dresser's corner instead of drinking himself.
"Here's the deal," Dabi spoke calmly, gathering more of Yuuma's attention on him. "I think you're doing a great job supplying us with those fancy little pills of yours, and honestly, you deserve better than this." Pointing his hand across the room, Dabi tried to bring his point across.
"All this working on the club, mixing drinks, and getting leered at by those bad, bad people out there - that just doesn't suit you. There's still room for better things to come to you, isn't there?"
"The fuck are you even talking about?" Managing to get his voice back after the alcohol-fail, Yuuma stood up straight again, shaking his head. "Are you drunk or simply spouting nonsense again?"
The sudden dizziness was evident on his face as Yuuma reached up to hold his head while Dabi slowly approached. He wanted to be there for Yuuma, especially if the boy was going to fall right into his arms. "You don't even know your own worth, Yuuma. So I decided it was time for someone to appreciate you properly," Dabi explained, holding out his arms as Yuuma let out a groan, his body stumbling on the spot, ready to collapse.
"All you have to do is sleep, and I'll make sure you will wake up in a better place."
"Dabi, what the fuck--" Yuuma tried to argue, but he could barely focus on the words of the villain as his body began to fail him, his vision becoming foggy and gravity pulling him to the ground heavier than usual. Was it his luck or his doom that Dabi was right there to catch him as his knees gave out? Yuuma didn't know anymore. He didn't know anything. It was too hard, too tedious to think about what was happening when he felt just so damn tired all of a sudden. He was crushed by the exhaustion that forced him to blackout, sinking right into the open arms of someone he never considered could hold him so tenderly.
"You don't really have a say on this, but don't worry about a thing. Where we are going, your presence will be appreciated. I will make sure of it," Dabi chuckled, petting Yuuma's head as the drugged ones' conscience faded. He gave Yuuma his time to settle into the deep sleep, shaking his head as he lamented how nasty those sedatives were. Quick, effective, and if Dabi wasn't so fond of Yuuma, deadly.
Throwing the heavy body over his shoulder, Dabi gave his butt a cheeky slap, announcing, "Off we go!" as he turned to the door, ready to leave. For a moment, he considered simply burning down the club, destroy all evidence there was. But where was the fun in taking everything from Yuuma yet? It may come in handy to have something to pressure him with if Yuuma turned out not so happy with Dabi's idea of 'appreciation'.
But for now, it was hard to wipe the smile off of Dabi's face, knowing he had won the battle already, even if the war was only really beginning.

Mauville was a city of progress. A city of science, of innovation, a beautiful place that sets an example for the rest of the world.
And so, for that beauty to be preserved, certain things have to be removed from the equation. The ugly things, the outdated things, anything that doesn’t match the image of progress. Under the gym leader’s guidance, the city would change, evolve and become its best possible self for those who lived in it.
During the renovations that happened in Mauville, several places had to be taken down to make room for newer, more economically valuable buildings. One of these places was a foster home, staffed mostly by volunteers, and in the ensuing rush to finish the whole project not everyone who lived there had enough time to find another place to stay.
A small loss, in the grand scheme of things. Compared to how many people would benefit from those changes, the ones that were worse off for it were so few and far between that it was easy to forget about them. However, for those select few people, that change was the most important thing in the world.
For Yuuma- later on Kasai- the most important lesson he learned from it is that it was foolish to believe in coexistence. Life was a constant battle and no one would hesitate to pull the rug from under him if it got them anywhere, so the only way to succeed was to be just as ruthless. He had to be smart, live only for himself and strive towards greatness at all times, no matter how many people he had to push down on the way there.
That’s why it wasn’t hard at all for him to accept Team Magma’s motivations. An organization that promoted progress at all costs, even if a few innocents had to be left in the dust, was right up his alley.
(The hypocrisy behind those actions did nothing to stop him.)

what do you genuinely think was going through his mind when he picked Dandylion as his costume. do you think he wanted the most innocent one so no one would be suss? did they only have so many costumes and he was like “whatever it works”? was that second on Yuuma’s list so he grabbed it so Yuuma couldn’t have it in another push-and-jab to get to Yuuma and test his unlimited patience? is Vector legit a furry?
what I’m saying is Vector’s insanity might be too hard to understand as a mere mortal

Oooh abo is open??? I would love to know how the Mukami boys deal with ruts or heats!
Yes, it is!!! :D Because of my setup for requests now, this is Mukami + Tsukinami~
. . .
Ruki: (Beta)
-He deals with both Ruts and Heats as privately and with as much dignity as possible. For the most part, he shuts himself in his room for the duration of his cycles, waiting things out with a good book, food left outside his door by Yuuma, and minimal indulgence of what his out of control body tries to force him into. He hates having to withdraw from looking out for everyone, but it’s better that than showing himself in such a state of vulnerability. He mostly just prays that everyone else will be alright while he’s out of commission.
Kou: (Omega)
-Heats have been used against him in the past, and as a result, they scare him. He despises feeling so vulnerable, but also struggles to accept support. He wants to just hide somewhere and not come out until it’s over, but the thing that usually puts a stop to that is Azusa, whose innocent concern makes even a heated-up Kou feel at ease. Azusa insists on looking out for him, making sure he eats, and so on. When it comes to cycles, he has the highest sex-drive in the household, his instincts driving him restless with need.
Yuuma: (Alpha)
-His Ruts make him aggressive and extremely horny, so he also has to keep to himself. Gardening is a good way of burning off restless energy, but yeah, he’s spending a lot of time in his room getting off. Yuuma’s not the best at self-control, so whether he really likes it or not, he’s bad at holding back. He’s not too bothered by his cycles, even if it is a bit irritating that his daily life has to be interrupted to such a degree. He does tend to be short-tempered, though, and lashes out over small things that normally wouldn’t bother him much.
Azusa: (Omega)
-His Heats are less sexual than needy. Somehow, the “sex” part doesn’t quite make it to Azusa’s brain most of the time, and he’d rather be curled up somewhere safe taking a nap than touching himself. He likes sticking close to his brothers when he feels vulnerable, and usually just makes himself a blanket nest on the couch and lets himself be babied. Because of course the rest of them are dead-set on looking out for an extra-fragile Azusa. He feels a little bad about “making” them coddle him, but is usually too out of it to care.
Carla: (Alpha)
-Because of his illness, Ruts are tricky. Exerting himself too much will just make him sick, so he has to be careful with what he does, even when biology is demanding things. His sex-drive is pretty low in general, though, so most of his Ruts are spent resting and trying to keep his health together. He dislikes being seen when in any state of less-than-perfect, and as such, makes sure that even Shin leaves him completely alone during these times. He generally keeps near-perfect control of himself, never letting instinct truly take over.
Shin: (Beta)
-He deals with his Ruts just fine, shutting himself up in his room and waiting out the irritation of being a slave to biology with little fuss. However, Heats set him on edge in a way that nothing else does. They make him feel way too weak and useless, and his body’s responses to them make him furious. Heats are usually coupled with violent rampages (as much as he can get away with) before and after, and many things broken during the duration. He gets even more prickly, tense, and aggressive than usual on either cycle.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIOTA NAGISA
Tumblr media
Thank you, Nagisa, for showing me that being kind and gentle doesn’t mean that you’re weak and also that the parts about you that you hate can be turned into your greatest weapon. You have been a role model for me for the past four years and I strive to be as wise and caring as you. Keep doing what you’re doing, you adorable little assassin, we’re all so very proud of you. 😍😊
Yes, I know that Nagisa’s birthday is during Summer break but shhhhh
(25 unread messages)
Akabane Karma: Hey there Nagi :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLUEBERRY! I can’t believe you are officially older than me. But don’t get your hopes up, just because you’re my elder, doesn’t mean that I will start listening to you. Just to show you how awesome I am, I decided to stay up late so that I can text you exactly at 00:00. But for real, I hope you have an awesome day and I promise to beat up anyone that ruins it for you ;) Nagisa, you are honestly the most amazing person I’ve ever met and you’re seriously like such a sweet and kind and honest and good person and I have no idea how someone as nice and forgiving as you ended up befriending someone as crazy and violent as me. You’re the only person who's never been scared of me and even though you hate violence you still stood by me and never tried to change me and you liked me for me. No one’s ever liked me without expecting me to change and I’ve never felt as comfortable being myself with someone as I have with you. Can’t wait to see you at school today - I got you a present. No I won’t tell you what it is and yes, you’ll definitely love it. See you soon.
Sugino Tomohito: Happy Birthday Nagisa! Hope that you have fun today! I just want to tell you that you are the best best friend that I could ever ask for and I am truly grateful for everything that you have done for me. When I first got kicked down to 3-E and was forced to leave the baseball club, I thought that it was all over but you came along and was the first person to actually sit down and listen to me and you offered to practice baseball with me and honestly, that really made my day. Dude, you are like this amazing blue ball of kindness and like seriously you are brilliant but you don’t nearly give yourself enough credit. I don’t know where you get your low self esteem from or what it is that makes you think that you are worth so little but I promise to remind you that you are cared for every single day until your next birthday and for the rest of your life. Okay, that probably sounded super weird but it’s early and my brain is like 60% baseball memes at this point. At first I hated losing my baseball friends and getting sent to this abandoned building on top of a death mountain but meeting you has made me realise that our crazy assassination classroom™ is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. From the day I’ve met you, you’ve been nothing but loyal and caring. You are the person I can talk and rant to and you’ll never judge me and you always know how to make you smile. And honestly, you are worth 1000 baseball teams. Don’t let your mother get you down. See you in class! Oh, BTW, my little brother says Hi.
Kayano Kaede: HIIIIII NAGISA! HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I got you a gift and I hope you like it and no it’s not pudding but you will be getting some cake from that cafe we visited over the weekend. It’s not easy being the new girl and ever since I’ve joined the class, you’ve been nothing but an awesome best friend and you have always been by my side since the day we decided to have matching hairstyles (which might I say looks so much better on you than it does on me - UNFAIR!) I hope the rest of the year is filled with pudding and happiness and sweets and smiles and everything else you love
Nakamura Rio: Happy birthday to our resident blueberry cinnamon roll! Have a wonderful day ‘Gisa. I’m sure you will when you see what I have in store for you ;). You are seriously the most mature, innocent, pure little bean I have ever met - and definitely the most fun person to play pranks on! Dont worry, as the birthday boy, you shall spend 24 hours completely prank free. Yes, yes I know, I’m the best classmate ever. Dont need to tell me something I already know, sweetie. See you later, my fellow English lover!
Maehara Hiroto: Yo, dude, Happy Birthday! Hope you have fun and enjoy what we’ve got in store for you (no hints!). Like seriously you are legit the most awesome person ever cause you’re so sweet and innocent and can turn into this super awesome secret badass whenever you want to. Youre like the class therapist/medic/person we can always rely on and you never complain when we drive you crazy (cause I know that we do). I’m super proud of you man. Never change Nagisa. See you at school. (BTW - We still up for karaoke next week?)
Isogai Yuuma: Happy birthday Nagisa! Hope you have a wonderful day! I can’t wait to see you in class later. When my siblings found out that it was your birthday, they insisted that they make you a card. You are an irreplaceable member of our class and I’m so happy that you are part of it. Seriously, if it wasn’t for you and your ability to calm people down and talk people out of doing whatever crazy idea they came up with, I’m pretty sure I would’ve lost my mind. You’re always smiling and always participate in class without complaining and you always see the best in everyone. Keep on doing what you do Nagisa, the world could use more people like you. ( Oh and come to the cafe later, I got an iced bun on the house for you)
Fuwa Yuzuki: AAAAAHHHHH HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAGISA! CONGRATULATIONS ON SUCCESSFULLY SURVIVING THIS LONG ON EARTH! OOHH IM SUPER EXCITED FOR YOU TO SEE WHAT I’VE GOT YOU! Thank you for always going along with and listening to my crazy anime/manga rants even when you have no idea whats going on. It’s so much fun hanging out with you cause youre chill and youre always up for anything and apart from Takabayshi you’re the person in the class that get my references the most. Youre an amazing main protagonist and you deserve all of the screentime and lines you get - heck even your own spin-off show. For someone who loves heroes so much, youre doing an amazing job of being one yourself. Youre the best Watson a Sherlock like me could ever ask for and a really good friend for this manga obsessed Otaku! Love you and see you later!
Kataoka Megu: Happy Birthday Nagisa. I hope that you enjoy the rest of the day. As someone whose job is to watch over our … interesting class, having you around makes everyone else bearable. I’m sure that if you aren’t here to keep the peace I would’ve murdered Okajima months ago. You have always been really respectful and kind and I appreciate having someone as hard-working and loyal as you in my class. I always enjoy having our talks about equal rights and you have always been like a little brother to me (honestly, I prefer you over my actual older brother). See you later and please continue to stay the way you are.
Okano Hinata: Hey there Nagisa. Happy Birthday! How’s it going, little dude! Hope you enjoy yourself and have lots of fun today. Thank you for being one of the only boys that I can actually stand. You are such an amazing person to have in the class and you’re amazing at being someone that we can all come to when we’re upset. Plus you let us brush your amazing godly hair (seriously I’m jealous at how nice it is). If any main campus kids try to ruin this special day - come to me and I’ll sort them right out :)
Kurahashi Hinano: HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAGISA! I HOPE YOU HAVE LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF FUN TODAY AND EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU SO THAT I CAN GIVE YOU YOUR PRESENT IN PERSON AND THE BIGGEST BIRTHDAY HUG EVER! YOU ARE AN AMAZING PERSON AND I (AND EVERYONE ELSE) LOVE YOU SOO MUCH OKAY I HAVE TO GO NOW BUT BYEEEE
Kimura Masayoshi: Hey Nagisa! Happy Birthday! Can’t wait to see you at school!
Mimura Kouki: Happy Birthday Nagisa :) wish you the best :)
Yada Touka: Happy Birthday Nagisa! I hope you have a fun-filled day! You are a really sweet and nice person and I enjoy hanging around with you - especially when you join us girls on our girl trips to the mall. You’re like a little brother to me and I always feel comfortable when I’m with you. Love you and hope you have a nice day <3
Takabayashi Koutarou: Happy Birthday Nagisa. I hope that you enjoy yourself.
Hayami Rinka: Happy Birthday Nagisa
Okajima Taiga: Happy Birthday Nagisa. You are such an incredible person to have in the class. And thank you for always saving me from the girls when they get mad at me. Hope you have fun. I was going to give you some really cool magazines but when the girls figured it out they slapped me and said that they’d tie me up in the middle of the mountain and leave me there if I did so I’m just gonna give you something else that I made (with Sugaya’s help). I’ll show you it at school - I hope you like it.
Kanzaki Yukiko: Happy Birthday Nagisa. I hope you have a nice day and thank you for being such a good and reliable friend. See you at school.
Yoshida Taisei: Happy Birthday Nagisa! I’m so sorry for the grenade incident earlier and I am so happy Koro-Sensei saved you. Also like you are one tough guy, you know that right? Cause what happened with Takaoka, man you couldve beaten any of us up with your eyes closed any time. Stay awesome dude. See you at the mountain
Hara Sumire: Happy Birthday Nagisa. I’ve made some sushi just for you. I hope you like it. As your official unofficial mother, I hope you have fun today and I can’t wait to see you later.
Sugaya Sosuke: Happy Birthday Nagisa. Thank you for being around and seeing the good in all of us even when we don’t see it ourselves. You always know how to inspire us and you are going to be an awesome grown up when you’re older. You always appreciate everyone and you know exactly how to pick us up when we’re down. I hope you like your present (you’ll get it later)
Okuda Manami: Happy Birthday Nagisa! I hope you have a wonderful day today. I just want to say thank you for being my friend and always encouraging me and helping me. You always know how to cheer me up and include me. See you at school.
Chiba Ryuunosuke: Happy Birthday Nagisa
Hazama Kirara: Happy Birthday fellow literature lover. I really enjoy talking about gothic literature with you - your analysis of themes and context is always very insightful and interesting and I enjoy spending time with you. If you ever need to escape, you can always come to me. PS - my offer to curse your mother is still up.
Muramatsu Takuya: Happy Birthday Nagisa. Hope you have fun. I made you some ramen (don’t worry its not my dad’s recipe so you’ll be good)
Terasaka Ryouma: Sup Shiota, Happy Birthday. I just want to say that I’m really sorry for being an a**hole and treating you like a jerk - especially forcing you to wear that grenade at the beginning of the year. You’re really good at assassination and you’ve got some serious moves. I dont really know what to say but you can always hang out with my gang whenever you want.

“What were you thinking?!” ( Little one don't give your poor father a heart attack )
Your muse just caught mine doing something dangerous! Send “What were you thinking?!” to scold them// @kxshikoi It had been an act of definite desperation, the feeling of inadequacy a crushing sensation within them. And it had been with the most innocent patterns of thinking that the young viper thought out their plan. They watched Tobirama and his lesson with Yuuma - the youngest and newest member of the family. Orochimaru had been ever complacent with how things were, ever happy to be Tobirama’s little one. But now their younger brother was here, and suddenly, they weren’t the littlest one in the home. Suddenly, someone more demanding was taking up their fathers time, earning their fathers praise.Perhaps there was enough love, praise and attention for both of them, but there was a definite worry within the child that Yuuma would get more. Simply for being their fathers biological child, one he had taken so much preparation with. Rather than the orphan he stumbled upon and took under his wing out of pity.So when they had watched Yuuma practice with their father, when they had seen the boys eyes spiral to life with markings obvious of the sharingan, it leaves a deeply unsettled feeling within them. To see how Tobirama lights up when his youngest succeeds, to see how he fusses over him, as he had fussed over them. The training is strictly supervised by Tobirama, where Yuuma would have to assess where each kunai or shuriken was coming from and dodge accordingly. Practice for using his gift of the sharingan. Of course, with his father right there, monitoring every movement, there wasn’t a single risk the boy would be hurt should he fail. The room is set on a timer, and for a short thirty minutes, Orochimaru watches as the kunai are flung around the room. As the boys power allows him to see everything before it happens, and dodge as needed. And for all his efforts and successes, Yuuma and his forever present smile earn an abundance of praise. And while Orochimaru knows they should be happy for him, and on some level they are proud, they can’t help feel the pang of jealousy once more. It will be later that evening, with Yuuma innocently elaborating about his training to Izuna when they get home, that Orochimaru will feel motivated in to recklessness. That they will sneak away from home to seek out the training room. They had been told they were not to do this training yet, that it was only because of the sharingan that it was safe for Yuuma to take it up. Differing skills, for differing shinobi. It was not a lack of faith from their fathers end, nor a lack of talent on Orochimaru’s. But a shinobi without such a dojutsu simply had to wait until they were older for such a practice. It is a warning they will not follow, as they mimic what their father had done to set up the room for their self-taught lesson. For they figured they would perfect dodging the weapons, and then show their father when it was mastered. They confidently trot to the middle of the room, preparing themself for the rapid fire of the weaponry they had aligned. And when the first snap of trigger wire is set off, it is only by the smallest reflex that they manage to escape it. The next kunai grazes their shoulder, the next slicing their leg. And it is when they buckle and grab the sharp stinging wound that they realize the next weapon would be hurtling toward their face. Golden eyes shut firmly, but impact does not ever arrive. When they open their eyes again, their father has deflected each dagger that had been released from the trap one after the one. His sturdy figure hovering over them like a shield. “What were you thinking?”The words have them sheepish, for he had given them clear instruction to never tamper with the room. To never go near it without his guidance and attendance. They had broken his rule without a second thought. They could have been killed. While they had thought he would be angry, it seems as if he is certainly more concerned than anything else. His strong arms gathering them up so their littler ones can coil around his neck. Which serves them well, as they bury their face in to the crevice of his collar to hide from whatever shame came with failing so miserably.“I wanted to do what Yuuma was doing,” they mumble softly, more disappointed for having made a big fool of themself. But it stems from cruel mockery of a classmate. A young boy who had told them that Yuuma was the two mens real child, that they simply could never be. That it wasn’t unheard of that the biological child would be loved more. That the ones who were adopted were only supplement children for those that couldn’t have of their own. Nonsense spewed by a troublemaker, but words that had burrowed in to Orochimaru’s young and impressionable heart. But despite their worry, they have always shared everything with their father. And even in the midst of doubting their place in the home, they find that does not change. So they confess. Words that would likely hurt their father more than it would hurt them. That the idea would even be muttered, that it would even be thought up as a fear to begin with.“If you love him more… I’m scared you’ll give me back.”

World Trigger Ch178 ‘Ninomiya Squad’ Translation
First things first, there’s only one chapter this week because it’s the last chapter of volume 20. Next month there will be only one chapter again because Ashihara is having surgery to take out his gallbladder (there is nothing wrong with it at the moment, but apparently he gets gallstones really easily so it’s a preventative measure). On the other hand, because of a public holiday next month’s issue comes out on 2nd May.
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Konami: Ahhh! Konami: It’s Tsuji-chan!
Usami: It is! Tsuji-kun!
Panel 2
Tsuji: Ah Tsuji: H…
Tsuji: …nk you for your hard work…
Panel 3
Konami: Tsuji-chaaaan
*rustle rustle*
Hiyami: Alright, alright, don’t play with Tsuji-kun
Usami: Tsuji-kuuuun
*rustle rustle*
Osamu: …
Panel 4
Osamu: Tsuji-sempai is weak to women…
Inukai: Didn’t expect that, did you?
Osamu: Yes…
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Inukami: Konami-chan, play with me too
Konami: Ehhh
Konami: You’re not innocent enough, Inukai-sempai
Panel 2
Hiyami: You can see Tsuji-kun at school too
Usami: Well Usami His guard is up at school, so I couldn’t help myself
Panel 3
Usami: Chika-chan, Osamu-kun, what do you want to eat?
Inukai: The flap meat is very good, the flap meat
*chatter chatter*
Usami: Isn’t that expensive?
Tsuji: Which one does Azuma-san like again?
Hiyami: The reed tripe (the abomasum)
*chatter chatter*
Ninomiya: Two oolong teas, orange juice, and ginger ale
Tumblr media
Panel 1
*sizzle*
Panel 2
Usami: Here you go~ Salty beef tongue~
Konami: I’m looking after this meat
Konami: I’m going all the way to well done
Osamu: Isn’t well done for steak…?
Panel 3
Tsuji: You’re amazing, Mikumo-kun… Tsuji: You were gonna have a meal with 3 girls by yourself…
Osamu: Now that I think about it, I was
Panel 4
Usami: You don’t get nervous facing girls, do you, Osamu-kun
Konami: Because this guy’s mum is beautiful
Inukai: Ehh, is that so!
Osamu: I don’t think my mother has anything to do with that…
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Osamu: …but it’s true Osamu: I don’t think I have ever met a woman more intense than my mother
Tsuji: So it’s true you are tempered by your environment…
Panel 2
Konami: Ah! Konami: This kid is eating nothing but rice again!
*nom nom*
Chika: Rice is delicious
Usami: Eat more meat too! More meat!
Panel 3
Hiyami: How’s the reed tripe? Good?
*chew chew*
Tsuji: I can’t chew it up
Panel 4
Osamu: You can talk normally to Hiyami-sempai
Tsuji: I have known Hyami-san for a long time, after all
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Inukai: The girls Tsuji-chan can have a proper conversation with
Inukai: Are just Hyami-chan and Hatohara-chan at this point
Panel 2
Osamu: !
Osamu: Hatohara-sempai…!
Panel 3
Tsuji: Because Hatohara-sempai was kind from the beginning…
Hiyami: Saying it like that makes it sound like I’m not kind
Panel 4
Tsuji: You had a wall around you in the beginning
Hiyami: And now?
Tsuji: You’re kind
Hiyami: Good
Panel 5
Inukai: Do you guys know, Mikumo-kun? About Hatohara-chan
Inukai: She stole a march on us and went ‘over there’ first, our sniper
Osamu: Ah, yes…
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Inukami: You were asking around at Tamakoma too, weren’t you?
Ninomiya: Yeah Ninomiya: …but not to Usami or Konami
Panel 2
Usami: Ehhh~ This is new!
Konami: What, what’s that Konami: What are you talking about?
Inukai: Oh my
Panel 3
Konami: Hey, what are you talking about~!?
*pull pull*
Inukai: You really jump at this kind of thing, don’t you, Konami-chan
Panel 4
Hiyami: Now that I think about it, we went to BBQ just before Hatohara-sempai disappeared as well
Tsuji: For Inukai-sempai’s birthday
Panel 5
Hiyami: To think that she would go on a journey with civilians at that timing
Tsuji: Since she couldn’t go ‘over there’ even if she’s in Border, it can’t be helped, can it?
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Osamu: I wasn’t expecting them to bring up
Osamu: The topic of Hatohara-sempai so lightly…
Osamu: I thought it was more serious…
Panel 2
Osamu: Um…why did Hatohara-sempai Osamu: Want to go ‘over there’ so much?
Panel 3
Inukai: Same as Amatori-chan
Inukai: Her little brother was taken ‘over there’
Panel 4
Osamu: …!
Chika: Little brother…
Panel 5
Inukai: She was aiming for the expedition selection test so she can search for her little brother
Inukai: But she wasn’t chosen
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Konami: Because she couldn’t shoot people, right?
Inukai: Right Inukai: That’s similar to Amatori-chan too
Panel 2
Inukai: Though in Amatori-chan’s case
Inukai: She might have overcome it in yesterday’s match
*twitch*
Panel 3
Konami: That’s right Konami: Because in the next match Chika is going to blow everyone up by herself
Konami: Resign yourself to it
Panel 4
Inukai: What’s scary is that you can’t say there’s no possibility of that
Inukai: But wouldn’t Amatori-chan be too awakened, doing that all at once
Panel 5
Inukai: For now, leaving Amatori-chan as someone to be wary of Inukai: Currently the most realistic threat Inukai: Is actually the double feature of Kuga-kun and Hus-kun, right
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Konami: Be a little wary of Osamu too!
Konami: Don’t you feel sorry for him, only leaving him out!
Konami: Osamu might get a new trigger and go on a rampage next time!
Panel 2
Inukai: No… Inukai: Mikumo-kun’s trion is at its limit, isn’t it
Inukai: Is he gonna abandon the wire strategy at this point?
Konami: Ugh…
Osamu: They all know…
Panel 3
Inukai: …talking about the double feature Inukai: I heard a weird rumour yesterday
Panel 4
Inukai: That Hus-kun came from ‘over there’ or something
*startle*
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Konami: Just C-ranks’ delusions
Konami: That guy has a big attitude and lots of trion so he stands out
Panel 2
Inukai: It’s true his trion amount was insane
Inukai: I can understand why there’re rumours like that
Panel 3
Inukai: …but if we’re talking about amazing trion
Panel 4
Inukai: Amatori-chan Inukai: Is even more like ‘someone from over there’
Osamu: Eh?
Chika: Eh
Panel 5
Konami: What are you saying!
Konami: It’s not Chika!
Inukai: I see
Inukai: It’s not Amatori-chan
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Konami: …ah!
Inukai: Ahahah, you’re so honest, Konami-chan
Panel 2
Ninomiya: We already know Hus’s ‘identity’ Ninomiya: We’ve had a notification from the PR department
Panel 3
Konami: Wha…
Panel 4
Konami: Then you should have said that from the beginning!
*hahaha*
Inukai: Sorry, sorry
Panel 5
Inukai: But Inukai: It made sense when I heard Hus-kun’s true identity
Inukai: How strong he is
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Inukai: How freely he used Border’s triggers, that you wouldn’t think he just started
Inukai: And his dynamic way of thinking and tactics
Panel 2
Inukai: He’s got plenty of trion too
Inukai: Seems likely he has plenty of hidden weapons besides Escudo
Panel 3
Inukai: …when I think of it like that
Panel 4
Inukai: Compared to how much trion he has
Inukai: The power of his Asteroid felt weak
Panel 5
Inukai: Is there some kind of trick
Inukai In the bullets?
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Osamu: …!
Osamu: He’s seen through our strategy…!?
Panel 3
Ninomiya: …we’re wrapping up
Inukai: Eh Inukai: But I’m still in the middle of negotiations~
Panel 4
Osamu: …!
Osamu: Ninomiya-san!
*clatter*
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Osamu: I said if we are chosen for the expedition team Osamu: I would like you to tell us the information on Hatohara-sempai…
Osamu: Do you remember that?
Panel 3
Ninomiya: …my answer is the same as then
Panel 4
Ninomiya: Say that after you’re chosen
Tumblr media
Panel 2
Yuuma: Hm
Yuuma: So they knew the Viper strategy
Panel 3
Osamu: Probably…
Usami: Inukai-sempai might have noticed because he sees Ninomiya-san’s shots all the time
Panel 4
Osamu: Hus went to all that trouble
Osamu: Hiding it for ‘next time’ too…
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Hus: I don’t think there’s a problem
Yuuma: Yeah
Panel 3
Hus: Viper
Hus: Can be used on the other teams besides Ninomiya squad to earn points
Panel 4
Yuuma: Inukai-sempai
Yuuma: Was probably also trying to say Yuuma: ‘Don’t use your hidden weapon on us, but on the others’
Panel 5
Hus: We just need to think up new plays to use against Ninomiya squad
Osamu: …I see…
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Usami: He might have been trying to disturb your composure too, Osamu-kun Usami: Inukai-sempai saying it like that
Konami: Ahhh, that’s likely, psychological warfare
Panel 2
Konami: Don’t go around getting manipulated the way he wants
*ruffle ruffle*
Osamu: Right
Osamu: It seemed like Konami-sempai was the one being manipulated the most…
Panel 3
Youtarou: Don’t worry, Osamu
*stretch*
Panel 4
Youtarou: My Hus will defeat Ninomiya
Konami: Why are you acting so self-important
Panel 5
Usami: Hm
Usami: Youtarou does have a point
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Osamu: Have a point…
Youtarou: …by which you mean?
Panel 2
Usami: Only Hus-kun and Chika-chan Usami: Can win against Ninomiya-san’s trion Usami: If we’re facing him head-on it’ll have to be these two
Panel 3
Konami: You can’t use Chika to face him
Usami: Not using Chika-chan to attack
Panel 4
Usami: Having Chika-chan use Fullguard with Shield
Usami: Then fighting with Hus-kun’s bullet triggers
Usami: I think they’ll be invincible in firefights
Panel 5
Konami: That’s true…
Konami: They’re not going to lose in a battle to whittle each other down
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Usami: It’ll be annoying if the other teams get themselves involved
Usami: But it’s pretty attractive being able to beat Ninomiya squad in firepower
Panel 2
Yuuma: And it’s bothersome trying to reach Ninomiya-san with a blade
Panel 3
Hus: …putting aside the firefight with that
Hus: If it becomes a mobility battle, Chika won’t be able to keep up
Panel 4
Hus: There’s also the danger of Chika exposing herself at all times
Hus: And there’ll be times when I won’t be able to join up with Chika
Panel 5
Hus: It’s not bad as a strategy
Hus: But we want more options
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Osamu: …alright
Osamu: Then let’s do this
Panel 2
Osamu: Hus and Chika look over Ninomiya squad’s logs Osamu: And work out counterattacks for firefights Osamu: Usami-sempai and Youtarou, you support them
Usami: OK!
Panel 3
Osamu: Me and Kuga will think of other plays Osamu: And gathering information on the other teams
Yuuma: Roger
Panel 4
Osamu: And if we can get some advice from you too, Konami-sempai…
Konami: It can’t be helped!
Panel 5
Konami: Come on, come on, we’re going to the operation room!
Yuuma: Right, right
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Usami: Nnnnnng…
Panel 2
Usami: There aren’t any teams willing to go into a shootout with Ninomiya-san Usami: So there aren’t many firefights to find…
Panel 3
Hus: …before we start talking about strategies
Hus: There’s one thing I want to confirm
Panel 4
Hus: Chika
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Hus: You can actually
Hus: Shoot people, can’t you?
Panel 2
Chika: Eh…
Usami: Eh…!?
Panel 5
Usami: Hus-kun, what do you mean!? Usami: You know Chika-chan can’t shoot people!?
Tumblr media
Panel 1
Hus: I know Chika says that
Hus: But Hus: That doesn’t mean it’s the truth
Panel 2
Hus: There’s the possibility that she just thinks Hus: ‘I can’t shoot people’
Panel 3
Hus: I think
Hus: Chika can shoot people
1. Now another anime canon has become manga canon (since we got the New 3 Idiots names): Azuma's favourite meat for BBQ.
2. And while we're on the subject of trivia: if you check the panels, the ones who got the oolong tea are Tsuji and Inukai since they have the same tone/colour in their glasses, and Ninomiya's favourite is ginger ale so Hiyami must have gotten the orange juice.
3. Did Chika just eat four bowls of rice OMG Is she supposed to be the Goku or Luffy of World Trigger...she does have the power potential...
4. Like Osamu I'm surprised by how easily they talk about it, but it does fall in line with World Trigger and their characters. And the word choice Inukai used: 'stole a march' kind of makes it sound like he's gonna meet up with her once they're in the Neighbourhood, that they all have the same goal...I guess that's what gets to me, no one is worried for Hatohara. Do they not know enough about what the Neighbourhood is like? Only Ninomiya seems to be really looking into it, and he's doing it more because he thinks she's been tricked (while the others on the squad seem to treat it as her decision...but then, they are younger than her, except Inukai who is still a peer and not older and in charge of her like Ninomiya is, AND Inukai is known for his psychological warfare - no wonder kageura doesn't like him - as revealed in this chapter...and I don't know where I'm going with this, but they are so not worried that even Osamu brought it up...) Anyway, this is probably why Yuzuru doesn't like them. He thinks Hatohara quit and is pretty cut up about it, but Ninomiya squad knows she secretly went to the Neighbourhood instead and they're okay with it (except Ninomiya).
5. Anyway, I wonder who else Ninomiya asked about Hatohara, since Inukai mentioned 'too'.
6. And a theory is confirmed! The photo was taken from Inukai's birthday party, the day before Hatohara left.
7. And another theory as well, that Hatohara went to the Neighbourhood for her little brother. To be fair, this was the most common theory ever since we saw her family makeup in BBF; all those parallels to Chika...
8. I'm not sure if I brought it across well enough, but in Japanese the particle Konami uses does have connotations that Chika isn't but someone else is. It's a common trick but you don't really get this in English.
9. Only Hus and Chika beats Ninomiya in trion so Yuba squad can't be higher than trion 11. Though thanks to Kitagawa showing up in the Parameter Ranking in BBF, we'd always known that Yuba squad's trion had to be Rindou Takumi (9) size or lower and same goes for every other unintroduced HQ character. Unless of course Kitagawa is only on there because she's one of the few trappers and other unintroduced characters would have been on the ranking but for spoilers.
10. Anyway, the fact that they bring up that plan against Ninomiya here means it probably isn't going to work the exact way they said, but also that some kind of frontal confrontation with Ninomiya is likely to happen...!
11. in conclusion, I’m going to be overseas when the next chapter comes out...we’ll have to see how this goes...

Persona OC’s/story idea?
for awhile I’ve been coming up with ideas for phantom thieves. Let it be what their rebelling against, who’s shadow do they fight, persona designs etc.
Even how they’d react to the phantom thieves. Who’d they get along with, who’d they hate.
So I’m gonna rant about them-
(the story idea I will be talking about in a reblog, so you don’t have to scroll through all this OC info every time)
(but the story idea is set the next year and Ren/Akira returns (for reasons I’ve thought about) and the metaverse is back, with some new persona users to)

Anime of the year - 2018 ~ Banana Fish
The year 2018 has gone in a flash and is 2019. I have not written a review for an Anime before.
So I ask myself, did I miss any anime that I should watch for the year 2018 and while looking at the anime list, I thought I did but I nearly miss out “Banana Fish”. I started to watch this anime before Christmas and finish on New Year Day.
To be honest, I actually did not even bother to watch this anime due to the title, poster and also the art. It does not captivate me enough even though I go through the synopsis.
By reading the synopsis and looking at the art , I was like “ Ok I will just cross out this anime for Summer 2018″. So why the sudden turn to watch this anime. I admit the only thing I heard about this anime was that this anime is BL genre and it spark my interest. Most of the fall season anime has ended, and I say well just give it a try and I can just drop the anime if I don’t feel like watching it.
I was drawn by this anime cause it does really reflect our society in real life, despite being an old manga. Good people is the one who gone first, while bad people always manage to survive. Owning a gun has always been an issue, and trust me even in my country which has a law that forbid you to own a gun, there is many cases of people getting murder/assassinate by gun/sniper. I like how Ash comment about White House. In my country you will get jail time is you say something bad about the government. This anime does touch this sensitive issue and I like how they mention 'Police aren't reliable'. It was so spot-on.
Tumblr media
Next let's talk about a simple matter of surviving in this harsh world in the point of view of Ash. Ash's childhood was not a pleasant and he believe that ' there's no free lunch'. People taking advantage/using each other is common practice. He won't show his vulnerability to others until he can't be himself anymore. Don't you find this familiar? You would if you are a working adult. Ash is just really a simple teenager boy but the environment/upbringing force him to be who is he now. I would not use the word PITY on Ash, I would use the word SOLITUDE on Ash. Here I would touch about Eiji.
Throughout watching the anime, I did ask myself what is Eiji role? Why is he an important character in this anime? The answer is “ Eiji is someone that happens to be there at the right time.’ From the start Ash knew Eiji would be his weakness, and knowing Ash, he would get rid of his weakness  As mention, right now Ash is an empty shell, and he even begin doubting himself. By meeting Eiji, Ash can finally fill up the void inside him. Eiji’s sincerity, naive and innocent that make Ash finally loosen up and be who he wanted to be in front of Eiji and would protect Eiji at all cost.  Ash needed someone which is happen to be Eiji to really save him and to be by his side without any benefit. Ash can finally smile again when he’s with Eiji and do not need to put an act in front of him. Ash did slowly find his inner self.
Tumblr media
Another point given is how nicely the story development / character relationship fit perfectly. Every character has it role to play and I like how every character has different motive and it all ended up with “Banana Fish”. Every episode title is taken from American Literature novel. I would give credit to Ash’s VA Uchida Yuuma which did a great job portraying Ash. Looking at the list of VA there’s lots of experience/veteran VA ( Jun Fukuyama) but I never heard of this VA until now.
I try to be spoiler free as I could while written this review. Hence to those people who have not watch this anime, please give it a chance and people who stay away from this Anime cause of BL, please don’t. Ash and Eiji relationship is pure and innocent. I’m really glad that i did watch this anime and it has become one of my top ten anime. This anime really does taught me one thing “ Never give up on yourself no matter what happen”. (The reason I watch anime because sometimes it give you real life lesson)
Note: This is my first time writing a review, I know it has flaws.

Chapter 4: Introduction to the Vanishing Bride
Tumblr media
(Excerpt translation of Miss Sherlock novelization, pg 140-151, notes at the very bottom of the abyss of this post)
Several innocent eyes are laughing amongst the debris. All of the exhibited photos reflect smiling children. A sister wearing a bright hijab. A baby being carried by a mother. In a destroyed city, boys flashing their teeth, grinning. There is no “tragedy” here. These are only everyday things for them, where explosive sounds and gunshots are woven into their daily lives.
[Moriya Toru : Photo Exhibition - There is hope ahead of sorrow]
I received the flyer from Irikawa’s clinic, that was where I saw the printed photographs on them, and from there, strangely enough, I couldn’t shake the image of the solo photography exhibition from my mind. I wanted to see, no, I was compelled, having an unexplainable urge to go. Was it the eyes of a child laughing that tugged so strongly at my heart? Or was it because I didn’t want to forget about the people’s suffering?
Wato gripped her hands in front of her chest. The smiles of carefree children seemed to have erased some of the tension of these last few days.
(…They remain mostly silent during the prosecutor’s interrogation. The psychiatrist also seemed to have given up hope on making any progress.)
2 days ago. Sherlock’s older brother, Futaba Kento, visited 221B, and with a sigh he said:
(I took over the Shiina sisters’ case from Inspector Reimon. Under the jurisdiction of the government, I’ll be in charge of the investigation from now on. But, Shiina Yuma’s tight lipped. It’s as if her mind was somewhere else, it’ll be some time before her consciousness returns to normal. Mizuno Akiko is also an unknown connection to the case. Yuuma’s older sister, Arisa stated that she was just following her sister’s orders, she was completely silent about anything beyond that. I had also tried to interrogate Shiina Yuma herself, but the she wouldn’t even make eye contact.)
As soon as Kento went home, Sherlock began pondering about something for a long time. It was as if she could see something that Wato couldn’t. She wouldn’t strike up a casual conversation, and of course Sherlock wouldn’t voice out whatever she was thinking.
And thus, with such circumstances, for two full days, Wato had waited in 221B for any calls. Wato had quit her part-time job at the library, if the strained atmosphere continued for so long, she would have gone crazy. Whenever Wato is frustrated, Sherlock’s thoughts will be disturbed. And Wato doesn’t wish for that to happen. Hindering and disturbing Sherlock’s work and delaying the investigation of the truth of a case was something Wato didn’t want to do.
“…I like that picture the best.”
An unexpected voice said, Wato turned her head in surprise. Standing was a tall, seemingly shy man. He wore a simple-designed shirt, his face framed with neatly trimmed facial hair. From the way he spoke, it seemed like this was Moriya Toru himself, Wato smiled at him.
She returned her gaze to the picture of the adorable girl. Wato spoke, more to herself.
“She really does have a lovely smile… Enough to forget that she's in the middle of a battlefield.”
That’s right. The innocent voice of a child, their brilliant smiles always made me forget that hell. Wato continued looking at the photograph in front of her. Moriya quietly stood next to her. It was a while until Wato asked him a question.
“…Were you in Iraq?”
“Yeah. Do you know about it?”
“I was in Syria. I volunteered as a doctor there.”
“Ah… Is that so?”
“…Even now, sometimes I’m still unsure. Whether I was useful there. Could I have saved more people? Could I have done more?”
She was pouring out her words, Wato snapped back to reality. Why am I saying such things to him? I’ve never been able to mention all these to even Sherlock, nor Hatano, nor Irikawa. Wato looked up. Looking straight at Moriya. He seemed strong, but there was a hidden weakness underneath that face that could break easily. Wato looked away, not knowing what to say anymore. Moriya’s calm and careful voice spoke.
“I also receive counseling from Irikawa-sensei every time I return home.”
Wato took a breath. She looked up once again. I see. This was the person. Irikawa’s…
“So that was why the flyers were in the waiting room.”
Moriya laughed. A smile that rivaled the adorable child from the photograph.
“…Are you planning to go to the war zone again?”
“Soon. I want to take as many pictures of the people that lives on the battlefield, as much as possible. Their anger and their sorrow… Their smiles showing from time to time, lighting up their faces. They really are resilient. Every one of them has lost a loved one. Yet, they take that grief and look to the future. That’s much harder than wallowing in sorrow.”
Despair and helplessness. Even after being overwhelmed and knocked down, both mind and body are ragged. Yet, there are those that get back up on their feet. Then, there are injured people, unable to escape, having to force themselves back to hell.
Wato herself had seen these people in the same situation in Syria. This Moriya, unconsciously gazing intensely into Wato’s eyes, she had noticed. Her cheeks were warm. When Wato didn't say anything, Moriya’s voice was concerned.
“Um… Are you alright though?”
Wato tilted her head in confusion, not knowing why he was asking such a question.
Moriya continued speaking carefully.
"Do you get flashbacks? When you're suddenly overcome by the memories of war, images and sounds, suddenly reviving in your every day life..."
Wato immediately shook her head, looking at the person opposite her and replied.
"No. Do you, Moriya-san?"
"All the time. I hear the sounds of exploding bombs, machine guns rattling, even terrifying screams and cries. I make myself sound so special, but every time I... I always end up scared and run back to Japan."
Moriya laughed as soon as he finished his sentence, as though declaring that he talked of nonsense.
Wato took a deep breath. This man is... weak. And although he is weak, he acknowledges his fragility and accepted it, yet he was also moving forward in life. Wato felt the gentleness in his eyes, mirroring the eyes of the children in his photographs. The smile on Moriya's face abruptly faded away. Staring into Wato's eyes, and as though he had made up his mind, he said.
"If you'd like... maybe we can talk a little bit more else where?"
As soon as Wato stepped out of the shopping district in front of the train station, she felt her cellphone vibrate and stopped walking. Somehow she had a bad feeling about it. Just in case, she checked the screen of her phone, but sure enough her hunch was correct.
A message from the Devil.
"We received Kanbey's Terrine au Chocolat from the client. Buy Asamiya tea."
Feeling indifferent towards the text message, it was a simple, straightforward order.
Nevertheless, for Sherlock, she wouldn't think it was an order. Alright, alright, we were running out of green tea anyway, she thought. Wato placed her cellphone back in her bag. Wheeling around, she went back to the tea house she passed by earlier.
It was plainly obvious to see, her body felt lighter. After meeting Moriya-san, each conversation they had, surprisingly filled her thoughts.
Wato obeyed Sherlock’s orders immediately, most probably because she felt guilty. She did spend quite some time talking with Moriya. Telling her to come back with chocolates, was probably Sherlock’s way of saying that she was concerned — No, that couldn’t be it.
Anyway, the heavy atmosphere for the past few days, maybe Wato felt a little bit guilty that only she went out to get fresh air. Whether they were Asamiya tea, or Terrine au Chocolat, if these can get Sherlock to cheer up a bit, or be the reason to leave her desk, then that was fine for Wato. She quickened her pace. She headed towards the shop with the green banner. Oh, that’s right. I should also buy the matcha pudding too before going home—
The ground shook from an explosion.
Petrified, Wato watched in front of her as the glass windows of the tea shop blew away. Hot air grazed her skin, she could smell burning ashes. Screams. Gunshots. Voices begging to escape. Dust covered her eyes. The air was scorching hot. Suffering — crying. People, the people. A mother, cradling her child affected by a bomb explosion. In the middle of the debris. And then. Gunshots echoing.
Wato sat in the middle of the street, holding her head. Not realizing that tears were streaming down her face, she was weeping loudly. To anyone else, they certainly could only see Tokyo’s monotonous, shopping district, but for Wato’s consciousness, she was seeing something else. She could still hear the gunshots. A shadow of a fighter plane against the clear blue sky, speeding straight above.
“…It was really a loud explosion. And, suddenly, there were children screaming and wailing…”
It was a slightly cloudy morning. Wato gave out a deep sigh, she was in the counseling room, painted in a pleasant color. She had managed to get home — after what had happened yesterday.
She had greeted Sherlock and Hatano with her usual tone of voice that she was back with Asamiya tea, they had sweets with it. Everything seemed normal. Sherlock wouldn’t have understood anything. As Wato barely joined in any conversation, she hurried off into bed without giving her partner the time to observe her expression.
Even when she left home the next morning, Wato did not tell Sherlock where she was off to. Sherlock didn’t believe in counseling sessions in the first place.
“…Did you ever experience something like this in real life?” Irikawa, who was listening to Wato’s story, softly asked.
Wato nodded, “…An area close to the clinic was hit by a bomb, in an instant, the whole area was…”
Irikawa waited for her to finish her sentence. But Wato was keeping silent.
“…You’re suffering from PTSD. It’s an anxiety disorder, it’s caused by exposure to traumatic events. Symptoms include flashbacks. Positive thinkers may think they’re okay, but they develop PTSD more easily than others.”
As she had expected… Wato had heard the term before. As a doctor and going into the battlefield, they were to understand PTSD thoroughly. And yet. She thought that she would be alright. She was convinced that she wouldn’t be affected by it. Wato bit her lip. She straightened in her seat and asked.
“Will I continue to have more flashbacks?”
Irikawa’s face slightly softened. Everything in that reaction, was cruelly affirming Wato’s question.
“Although it may not be possible to completely erase such memories, but, certainly, they’ll gradually fade with time.”
Irikawa’s voice was unwavering. Wato gave a small nod. She couldn’t grip her fist properly. Her palms were gradually dampening from cold sweat.
She was walking along the corridor, stopping in front of the door that reached to the ceiling. Wato gently gripped the doorknob. There wasn’t a mirror to check her own face — will you be able to smile properly?
Releasing the doorknob, she pushed her cheeks up with both hands. She pushed the door open, maintaining her forced expression.
There were sounds of what seemed like rustling. Sherlock’s back was facing her, and was experimenting with laboratory instruments. Hatano sat relaxed in one of the chairs and was looking at a soft-colored flyer.
Hatano briefly looked back and said, “Welcome back.”
Wato exhaled. Just as usual. Nothing had changed, and nobody had noticed.
“Hatano-san, what’re you looking at?” Wato said brightly, approaching next to Hatano. Hatano smiled and let out a long sigh.
“I’m wondering which one I should go to.”
Wato peered at the flyer she was holding. She read aloud.
“Matchmaking parties! Even for seniors. For widows mourning their beloved husbands. Ahh…”
Wato summarized. I see, there was even this type of matchmaking—
“…Such an illusion!”
“Huh?”
Hatano chuckled. Her reply made Wato’s smile paralyzed.
“To say that all women who’ve lost their husbands are lonely, that’s just an assumption. Some women hated caring for their husbands. They’re finally free to lead their own lives again.”
No no, of course there may be such types of matchmaking parties, but to think that such a statement could come out from Hatano, who had lost her husband, Wato wouldn’t even want to joke about it.
Wato put her hands together, then spread them wide open, reminiscent to that of Maria from the Sound of Music. She replied with much positivity.
“Maybe there are some people like that! But I’m sure there are many happily married couples! To love each other, share their joys and sorrows.”
“Heh. Some people may have participated in killing their husbands.”
Sherlock suddenly cuts in. Why would you barge in this conversation at this time? Wato frowned, her roommate still making that dubious, rustling sound. Wato approached behind her and looked at what Sherlock was holding. Cucumber. Her roommate continued to grate the cucumber guilelessly.
“What’re you making?”
“Toner. For Hatano-san.” A concise answer.
Hatano earnestly replied as well, “Sherlock’s toner is extremely effective. It revitalizes the skin.”
“Ahh. With cucumbers?”
With Hatano’s high praise, and Wato expressing great interest, Sherlock proudly grinned and chuckled softly. At times like these, it was the only moment you would show your true innocent face, huh? Wato could only give her an ambiguous smile.
A cellphone began to rang inside the quiet room.
“Hm? Step aside a little, move, move. Okay, okay. Huh? Anyone seen my phone?”
“Jeez, you always have to hunt down your phone at times like these, isn’t it about time you tidy up a little!”
Wato snapped and told her off, but Sherlock didn’t seem to pay any attention. Her roommate retrieved her phone from under her coat and responded the call immediately. Her facial expression faded and was replaced by a devil-like grin.
Wato grasped the subtle changes, and instinctively straightened herself. Surely, this was — !
“What? The bride — vanished?”
An incident has happened. Sherlock beamed. A good distraction, much like a predator pleasantly catching prey and flying off with it.
Le Mariage Blanc, Tokyo. One of the biggest wedding halls in Tokyo. Not only are the facilities big and complete — but the ‘scale’ in terms of pricing is also big. Wato thought that the interior of the building had an air of luxury, while earnestly keeping up with Sherlock. They hurried through the polished and refined corridor. As they entered the lobby where the ceiling was high, she noticed familiar figures inside. They were Chief Inspector Reimon and Police Sergeant Shibata.
Shibata didn’t wait for Sherlock and Wato to approach them when he started explaining. It was his attitude of doing things before anyone else tell him to.
“The missing bride is a model named Mashima Risa. She disappeared right before the wedding reception.”
“Someone ran away with her? Just like in the movies.”
Wato really got into the idea. A bride who was taken away just before the reception — is it an escape with an ex-lover? A reunion with a true love. Just imagining it made her eyes sparkle.
“Nah, there was no sign of anyone coming to take her away.”
Shibata sternly denied. Wato could hear a small snigger from Sherlock, as she looked down in disappointment.
“Shibata. The photos.”
When prompted by his superior, Shibata showed the pictures saved on his phone to Wato and Sherlock. Look at that, even though he was being frowningly helpful, he was diligently doing his work, it’s very Shibata-like.
The picture was of a man in a tuxedo and a woman in a wedding dress. With the marriage certificate in their hands, both of them looked really happy. Reimon continued to explain to Wato and Sherlock who were looking at the picture.
“The groom is a famous jewelry designer, Saeki Kazuma. He made his name at the international Mazarin Awards. He has clients all over the world.”
Wato’s eyes widened. After Reimon mentioned it, it clicked to her.
“This guy, I’ve seen him on TV. I heard he was very popular with his original designs.”
“Hey. Why are you, the investigation division, handling a missing person’s case?”
Sherlock didn’t seem to be interested in the job of a jewelry designers at all. She asked the question mockingly, as though implying the fact that the two guys were so free at doing cases outside their scope.
“…11 years ago, I married my wife here.” Reimon straightened his back and answered with a straight face.
Sherlock went, “Huh?”
“This place is full of memories for me and my wife. I can’t let a case that occurred here go unsolved.”
Wato looked at Reimon, who was holding up his left hand, a ring gleaning from finger. She looked blankly with her mouth open. No way, you guys have way too much free time, but she closed her mouth and thought that it was such a wonderful thing for him to do. I am one who values such emotions. Unlike the devil sitting next to me.
“Even if Majima Risa remains missing, there’s still a possibility that this case would be taken over by us anyway.”
Shibata continued coolly.
What’s with that, Sherlock had probably thought, she sighed heavily and wearily.
“Well, OK then. Gather every single photo taken at the wedding, not leaving any rocks unturned.
“You don’t have to say it, we’ve already done it.”
Shibata smiled smugly. Sherlock sneered back at him.
“Oh, someone’s learning.”
“Detective consultants can’t handle this type of steady and honest investigation.”
“Well, thank you for your hard work, sir!”
Both strong and sarcastic, it was a dog-fox bickering. Wato was wondering how to stop them both, but Reimon casually raised his hand.
He managed to arbitrate the situation — saying that they would leave the rest up to Sherlock, and without delay, he walked away. Shibata quickly followed him from behind. Which left Wato staring blankly at them. Sherlock remained silent, then started to observe the inside of the hall. Wato as well let her eyes roam around. There was a wedding dress propped at one corner of the room which caught her eye. The design was an open chest with a bareback. The fabric was white as snow, with sparkling details.
“How nice… I’d like to wear a dress like this one day. But—“
There was an unexpected emotion of sorrow and pain wash over her, Wato looked down. It was hopeless — had you noticed the trembling in my voice just now? Wato felt a gaze, but Sherlock did not say anything. Not even the usual cheekiness of something like ‘It’d be difficult for you to face people after a divorce’…
Wato kept quiet. Sherlock only crossed her arms, continuing her observation of the room.
Silence.
After a while, they could hear the sounds of footsteps coming closer. Two employees appeared at the entrance.
“Sorry to have kept you waiting — ah, are you the consulting detectives? I was informed by Inspector Reimon about you. I’m the manager, Tachikawa. She’s the wedding planner, her name is…”
The man had neatly-combed hair, he carefully lowered his head towards Wato and Sherlock. Sherlock responded with a “Hmm” and a frank gaze, while Wato returned his greetings with a brief bow.
Standing next to Tachikawa was a woman in a pants suit. She bowed and continued Tachikawa’s sentence.
“Yokokawa. I accompanied the bride the whole day when the incident happened — ”

Notes: Just to reiterate, the Wakasugi Family Curse episode has been omitted in the novel, so there were some parts that happened in Episode 4 that were interwoven with The Missing Bride chapter (in this case, Chapter 4).
It’s a huge chunk of translation, just to make up for the lack of updates. Imma hibernate a bit.
Sorry if the “keep reading” link doesn’t work (I don’t know how... haha) If it does work, ignore this. LMAO.
Also I’m sorry for grammar inconsistencies as usual. Not really good at it. Will keep revising this til it looks sufficiently ok.
Ok, enough rambling. Hope it was good.

Can i get a assassination classroom match up? i'm female and straight. I have long red hair to my knees. My curves are on point. I’m not skinny or chubby. I love alcohol, gardening, animals, reading books, nature patterned dressses, celtic music/Ethno pop, creating. I only feel true joy and happiness when I create. Outside of that it is just brief entertainment. Sometimes I have this random urge to clean. My friends say I give off this calm and approachable atmosphere. Animals trust me, I tend to joke about having an army and how we are going to conquer the world when loads surround me. Most of the time not emotional, but I become very sensitive and can cry easily when innocent people, animals, plants or the environment is hurting. To cheer a friend up We sit & talk about life or just random thoughts for no reason (alcohol allowed). If someone asks for my opinion I’ll say what I think. I nearly died once. It really changes your perspective on things. I’ve noticed people cower when in my rare moments of anger. I’m pretty clumsy. I have a sarcastic & dark sense of humour. I don’t mind others silly antics as long as they don’t cause major problems. I make puns naturally I called the sun a “son of a bitch” as example. I don’t even mean to do it. I’m good at tricking other people into things while being able to see through others trickery. I openly compliment. I refrain from insulting enemies cuz it’s not smart. When people tell me I can’t do something out of spite I tend to be rebellious. When people yell at me I try to have a conversation with them instead of a yelling match. I never initiate touching. I will hug if asked. I’m hard working when I need to be. Lazy when I don’t have to work. I can embarrass my friends in public, not cuz I’m flashy or anything, I just blurt out whatever’s in my brain and it’s not always innocent. when I’m overly stressed out and things keep adding onto that I can black out, I have no clue what is happening or what I am doing at these rare moments. It’s like an out of body experience. I don’t like when people exaggerate reality into something it is not. I try to be understanding and rational when problems arise but I don’t always succeed. I don’t like to give up on other people unless there’s really no hope because I would not want people to give up on me. I don’t really hate people for being themselves unless they hurt innocent people, treat me like I’m crazy or betray my trust. I’m handy in life and death situations. I can’t sleep without hugging something (I fell asleep hugging a stapler once). Guys I am interested in I tend to stare at them a lot.
Your cool, I'll get you a matchup! I believe Yuuma Isogai is perfect for you. He loves your cute habits such as cuddling something as you sleep and tends to stare at you a lot as well. He loves your personality where your outgoing and rough but still soft. He also tends to find you VERY attractive. He worries though when you over work yourself and will tend to stay by your side for a few days. He also although gets annoyed at times doesn't mind your embarrassing him in public! Hopefully your okay with this matchup! (I figured since your wrote so much I'd feel bad for it going to waste!)
