STARMYU AGAIN (AGAIN)

I ALWAYS FORGET TO POST THIS WHEN I GO HOME BUT ANYWAYS I WANTED TO ADD TO THE OTHER POST HOW MUCH I LOVED THE KAO COUNCIL SONGS

Like for every new Kao Council they have that theme song where they have their own beginnings until the chorus part where they're like "satisfy!"

and there are actually like cool details about it. I mean idk if its just me but the Ancient Kao Kai song and the Hiiragi Kao Kai song was similar yk? that same tone, only different lyrics and the dance for Hiiragi's Kao Kai was honestly on top for me better than any other fr. I wanted to talk about how the New Kao Kai/ Shiki's Kao Kai like- really changed. In the beginning of the song I didn't even notice that it was Kao Kai song, which kinda hinted at the change they wanted to do for the school. And ofc I can't forget my favorite one, the Finale Kao Kai where everyone literally like- from 4 members to 5 members to 5 members to 14 Kao Kai Members.

That was the best for me because its probably the one that changed the most, which really proved Shiki's last line being "A new generation" AND OH GOSH THE ENDING TOO "let's have fun." - Yuta Hoshitani. ALL IT NEEDED WAS "boys" AND IT'D BE SO LIKE OTORI.

and well speaking of Otori, Their version of the Kao Kai song was like- the basic one. Specially since they didn't have anything before "satisfy" unlike the other ones, which ig was (this is me overthinking) showing how they're traditional, no changes, no additions necessary that could harm the Ayanagi Brand. Day Six of The Underrated And The Unwritten

Notes: did i take forever to do this req? yes. but I'm actually glad you sent this in because it made me watch Starymu and I really liked it.

Hoshitani Yuta

Hoshitani isn't really the type to get jealous. It's not that he never feels insecure or jealous about other people being around you, but just that he doesn't see the point in voicing it.

To him, his emotions are irrational and he shouldn't be bothering you with such things.

However, he also has moments where he gets pretty jealous and just can't hold back from making a comment or two.

He's the type of person who gets jealous of long-term relationships/interactions rather than short-term ones.

For example, if you have a male friend you're pretty close to and comfortable with physically, then Hoshitani might get jealous of the relationship you have with him.

But he doesn't voice his emotions until he starts feeling like you're spending too much time with that boy. He knows that it's unfair to tell you to stay away from your friends, which is why he's nervous to even express himself.

Hoshitani can get pretty clingy when he's jealous, choosing to stick around you more and even cutting off your time with the other guy by saying the two of you need to be somewhere.

But once you're both alone he starts apologising as he considers his emotions irrelevant.

It's only when he realises you don't really mind his jealousy that Hoshitani finally expresses himself, but even then he's pretty apologetic.

He's never one to use PDA to try and make the other person feel jealous, but he might casually place his arm around your waist or hold your hand to show that he's your partner.

When it comes to strangers or people either of you aren't really close to, Hoshitani can be more protective than jealous, which is why he is cooler about those situations.

He doesn't think twice about dismissing creepy guys trying to get your number and is quick to pull you away from a situation if you look uncomfortable.

Since in his head he is doing this for your safety/because of your discomfort, he doesn't see it as something 'wrong' and perceives it differently from his jealousy.

Again, he isn't one to employ PDA in such situations, but he will use the 'I'm their boyfriend' card if necessary. He can also be quite assertive when it comes to dismissing those people.

Overall, Hoshitani isn't one to get jealous too often, but when he does it's always a cute sight since he gets all flustered and confused, not knowing what to do about his emotions.

Starmyu season 2 is definitely my favourite anime of all time and the best season. It's the only anime that I'm willing to watch countless on time and still enjoy the show.

Season 1 and Season 3 is pretty average for me and Season 3, for being the final season is pretty weak.

But Season 2 is definitely my favourite. Its entertaining, the story is more focus with good buildup and the characters have a better growth here than the previous season.

Also the story is more focus on the main character Hoshitani Yuta than the previous season so some viewers might get annoyed by him getting the most screentime out of any of their favs so that's the problem for them I guess.

But since my favourite boy is Hoshitani, I thoroughly enjoy his journey throughout this season.

Overall this season is very enjoyable to watch.

HIRAGI TSUBASA'S CHARACTER ARC IN STARMYU IS JUST SO AMAZING.

In the first few episodes, we get a sense that this dude is super strict. It's after S1 E06 where we learn about his history with Otori Itsuki.

And, yes, I was balling in S1 E09. You can't tell me that their duet wasn't heartbreaking. YOU CAN'T.

What's interesting is the things you CAN'T find in the anime. For example, in SHOWTIME 9, Hiragi has a solo song titled "uncontrol". I realized it after reading the English translation of the lyrics that the song was about his feelings throughout S1 E09. The fact Otori was about to leave him again and he couldn't do anything to stop it, let alone go after him.

In the drama CDs set between S1 E14 and S2 E01, Otori and Hiragi have a conversation about their respective graduation parties held by their students. They, eventually, get to the topic about Hoshitani Yuta and his idol. Both of them know he's been idolizing Otori who is both a bit shy to admit it and he just doesn't want to strip Hoshitani of his dream.
