if Rei turns out to be the memorandum man I imagine this abusive relationship chain:
Lol Midori is afraid of Meister because sees his abusive father in him in parallel with Shin is afraid of Sara because sees his abusive "big brother" in her.

3b Spoilers
This is something I haven’t seen discussed much despite having a lot of potential— what’s your opinion on the surviving dummy (Kurumada, Mai, Hayasaka) at the end of the banquet?
It’s easy to miss it, I’d assume in no small part to to the fact it’s not an active choice but based entirely on which coffins you randomly select.
I’m just surprised I haven’t seen a single theory mention this at all. What do you think?

the key difference between the Sou Hiyori’s is that Shin makes a lot of plans and they’re always stupid and fall through and backfire but that makes him very good (or maybe just calm) at improvising through the mess he got himself into and Midori makes plans five steps ahead and plans for everything and every way others react and they always fall into it so when hes backed into a corner finally he breaks because hes so self confident/centered (with even good reason to be) that its inconceivable and world shattering.

ok i think i’ve narrowed down another one of 3b’s main flaws, and it’s that you literally had no choice over any of the major deaths in this route. qtaro dies no matter what. regardless of if you choose to sacrifice gin or keiji, the team pulls out a random loophole and midori dies anyway. whether or not you choose to sign the contract has no significance because midori just randomly decides not to kill keiji at that moment. if a yabusame dies, it’s a scripted event that doesn’t even happen by your hand. sure, you have control over which of the dummies makes it to the end at the banquet, but they immediately die afterward so it doesn’t fucking matter. to me, one of yttd’s best qualities is that it makes you feel like all of the losses your character experiences are fair, and it makes you feel the impacts of your decisions. 2-2’s deaths were entirely dependent on your choices in the game. even the deaths that you had no control over had a massive impact on sara, and we saw her struggle with hallucinations of the dead throughout all of chapter 2. one of the parts that i thought was really well done was saras misconception in the second main game that she could buy herself 24 extra hours, because the game showed us the rule and let us recognize that there was a loophole to it. we knew the loophole was going to pop up, and when it did it made for a twist that had perfect setup but still fell really hard on sara. the player lacked so much autonomy in 3b, and quite frankly many of the victories didn’t feel earned; midori had the chance to kill keiji and didn’t simply because he didn’t feel like it. we didn’t even make it through the banquet because of the rules, midori just let us have an extra turn. it felt so fucking scripted and even tho we had a bunch of deaths, none of them involved player choice so we felt disengaged compared to the standard set by 2-2.

It's interesting that the people dead in their first trial parallel
9 candidates alive.
Mishima/Hayasaka
Sara/Anzu
Alice/Kurumada
Keiji/Ranmaru
Kanna/real Hinako
Reko/Mai
Shin/Kugie
Q-taro/Megumi
Gin is the only character who parallels no one.
I don't know if it could be important later but its strange that there is no balance between the dead and the living.
I hope that isn't a foreshadowing for Gin is the winner.
