panic at the discos three viciously different songwriting formations have accidentally created this really interesting thing in their discography where if youre familiar enough w the band you can easily tell who wrote which songs within the first 30 seconds

It still blows my mind that no body wants to own movies or CDs. Like I don't like not owning any movies or shows I like and wanna rewatch. Maybe I sound like a boomer but I'm not planning on paying for Netflix for the rest of my damn life just for this one movie I love that their hosting. Imma go on the internet and get the DVD.
We really shouldn't allow these streaming services to kill DVDs and CDs. We should not let them kill physical media. They want you to not have a physical copy, so that when you stop paying, you don't have access to the product your paying for. Buy more CDs. Buy more DVDs. Buy a damn VCR. I mean shit, a fucking Xbox or playstation can play any DVD, blue ray or not. Your car has a radio for a reason.
Don't let them kill physical media. Because if or when the cards fall, you'll be left with nothing.

there's a cobra starship song called "monkey magic" (it's a cover of a song by a japanese rock band called godiego) that was only ever available on the itunes germany deluxe edition of hot mess and aside from a youtube video that's only got like half the song, a downloadable version of it accessible in the united states appears to genuinely be a piece of lost media. if anyone knows where i could possibly find the full version of this song please point me towards it

Y'all ever dig out an MP3 player that survived hell and back for you and decide to transfer the audio files to hear what your music taste was when you were a tweenager?
On that note, I found my old SanDisk (survived going flying every time I was running and my headphones came out, spent an entire winter buried in snow when I couldn't find it, survived the water of melting snow) and transferred all of the music off it.
There was an entire section of 'Stronger Than You' parodies, most of them being Undertale characters. Remember that time of the fandom?
I return to my tweenage years with glee ^_^

If we were to have another Kirby fighter’s two esque game where we fight the sworn partners, what leitmotifs would you want to see used in there theme?
YES YES YES I love talking about Kirby music!! Recognizing recurring leitmotifs in each new game's soundtrack is one of my favorite parts of being a longtime Kirby fan. I have so much respect for the music team!!
youtube
Personally, I think their battle theme in Kirby Fighters 2 rocks! I wouldn't change anything about it. My favorite part is 1:43 when that bass comes in- it's TASTY!! >:D This track blends together some awesome themes from both characters. Plus it starts with Meta's original battle theme from Kirby Super Star, which is one of my favorite tracks from the whole series because it's so intense and badass sounding.
The only thing I can think of right now that would be cool to hear is incorporation of "My Friend and the Setting Sun" (the credits music from Revenge of Meta Knight). It's even used in the credits for Kirby Fighters 2 so at this point the theme kinda applies to both characters now!
Funnily enough I really like that song's incorporation in the Dedede clone fight in Planet Robobot :P It feels like a Dedede and Meta Knight medley without actually being one.

This month's rotation is meant as an homage to Sakurai Atsushi, who passed away this past October.
I mostly went with my favourite buck-tick song that aren't dress and romance and just one more kiss cause everyone knows these lol I also tried to go for at least a song in every decade, but I have to admit that I'm not familiar with their post-2012 releases, so yeah...
Song titles have the links to individual songs, link for all 6 of them at the end.
In this pack, you'll find :
BUCK-TICK - 月世界 (Gessekai) I first found this song on a rotation blog, so I thought it was appropriate to put here. It was different from what I was listening, at the time, but there was something about this song that kept haunting me and that was what made me get into buck-tick Gessekai was a single released in 1998
youtube
BUCK-TICK - 羽虫のように (Hamushi no you ni) This was the last time i immediately fell in love with a buck-tick song. I don't have much to say aside from I think it's still as good as the first time I listened to it ! Hamushi no you ni was found on RAZZLE DAZZLE, released in 2010
youtube
BUCK-TICK - Love Letter This will never not remind me of college lmao, and the pv definitely is the reason why :D (thanks, Mad... lol) Love Letter was release on the album Six/Nine in 1995

(uploaded EIGHTEEN years ago dakjshfjkasdghfkjah)
BUCK-TICK - MOON LIGHT This song popped up in my head when I learned Atsushi had passed. I couldn't not put it in here. MOON LIGHT can be found on HURRY UP MODE released in 1987
youtube
BUCK-TICK - 夢魔 - the Nightmare (muma - the nightmare) 13kai wa gekkou is easily my favourite buck-tick album, and honestly all tracks are worth listening. I had originally chosen Passion, for this, but I want to use that song in another rotation, so I went with muma, in the end, as i figured they both have the kind of energy i wanted to convey here :3 十三階は月光 (juusankai wa gekkou) was released in 2005
youtube
BONUS : 櫻井敦司 (Sakurai Atsushi) - Space Oddity (Live David Bowie cover) I wanted to add a song from his solo career, and tbh I was going to go for Sacrifice, but I then remembered this existed and I figured it would make for a good last song for this rotation. Space Oddity was only performed live, but can be found on the Explosion - Ai No Wakusei Live 2004 DVD released in, well, 2004

BEGGING people to learn how quality loss works.
Converting an existing MP3 file to FLAC / JPG file to PNG / 200px image to 4K / etc. will not make it higher quality. It will not give it more detail or make it nicer. It will only make it take up more space!
It's like putting a single cupcake on a big platter and expecting it to turn into a 5-tier wedding cake!
Or putting a painting in a fancy glass frame and expecting it to remove the 100-year-old coffee stain!
It does not work that way. It will never work that way.

I was watching a vod of a stream you did on twitch and you mentioned not being able to buy music mp3s from a japanese website. If you are desperate you can use a proxy buying company. (japan rabbit is one i have used and i saw they do it for files too not just physical objects.)No idea if this is a werid message to recive, sorry if it is
Actually I was struggling with this again yesterday trying to figure out how the hell to buy Yorushika's music so thanks for the tip 👍

tbh i like this version more than the studio one, there's barely any difference but it just...sounds nicer. maybe it's the reverb. and the little 'whoo!' at the end :))

i will say that the one downside to not using spotify is that i DO think spotify wraped wrapped is really fun and i WOULD like to see what my music stats from the least year are. but not enough to switch to a music platform i think is inconvenient unless you pay lol
