the domestic life [pt.1]

(timeskip in the future/child and parent headcanons)

ever wondered what your future child/children would be like with your favorite dorm leader?

(includes: riddle, leona, and azul)

Riddle: Two kids. You and Riddle would most likely have two kids in your years together. In all honesty Riddle would've been happy with just one, but considering how his own childhood was he wouldn't want his child to grow up without a sibling to lean and rely on, he knows how much it would've helped him if he had a sibling himself.

You and Riddle(definitely Riddle) would be easy on your kids but not too much to where they would try to take advantage of it to get away with things since Riddle would try to wholeheartedly avoid any actions his own mother acted upon him in his younger years to keep him in 'line' but he also didn't want his children to slack off too much.

One kid would definitely have more of your physical attributes like hair color, face shape, nose, eyebrows, etc but then have Riddle's strict yet consistent traits when it comes to schoolwork and chores even if you two don't even push or nag your child to do said things, they've just always been naturally responsible. Despite this they are never really as uptight as Riddle was but has a lot of self-expectations and goals they themselves want to reach when they grow up.

Your other kid would definitely have more of your personality traits yet would definitely be more of the loose wild child that loves to have fun and at times can be a bit loud-- nonetheless your second kid would be the spitting image of Riddle with the exception of your eye color being present in theirs and a few beauty marks(if you yourself have any). As much of a slacker this kid could possibly be they are definitely as smart and responsible as their sibling too, they are those kinds of kids that didn't seem to study for a test yet still get high marks for it in the end.

These two as siblings would be a kind of iconic duo, the strictness of one sibling would keep the wild one in line while the wild child helps out their other sibling in learning to have fun, stay loose, and have no worries. Both have their own little study group together if any big and important tests come up, and they both help each other out pretty often. Fights aren't an unlikely occurrence but it's not something you'd see everyday since all they would really fight about is small things such as what game they should play, that they need to focus on school more, and just them having different opinions.

Leona: Three kids. Leona in his former years in NRC never really thought of having any kind of family, let alone more than one kid until he met you. When you both graduated from NRC and moved in with Leona in the palace there was already a hint of talking about your future family and originally you two wanted just two kids, so that your one child wouldn't have to grow up alone. That was until a third one came in and that's when you knew you two really had to calm it down a notch, but even if it was a surprise you two were still incredibly happy to have three absolutely adorable cubs!

Leona as a father definitely wouldn't be called a strict parent but he will always make sure his kids are attending to their studies and other activities, if one seems to be falling behind or in a sort of pause then either you or him will check up on them and help sort out any problem that's hindering them. There is also one thing I definitely want to point out about Leona, he most definitely will not have his children compete against each other or make any of them feel any less than the other! Everyone gets equal opportunities, an equal say in things, and equal chances.

Your oldest cub would have the more stoic and stubborn side of Leona's personality, as the aloof child of three they would most likely be one of those 'edgy' teenagers once they are of the age of adolescence. They have their father's ears, tail, eye color, and skin but would have the more softer features of you such as eye shape, nose, cheeks, and beauty marks(if you have any). They'd also definitely have your hair color and texture. They are smart and cunning in strategy yet they also have their father's competitive spirit, which can hinder them by having trouble in accepting losses at times. No worries tho! You and even Leona will try to get them to relax and accept that sometimes to win you need to accept a few losses first.

The middle cub will definitely have more of an overall resemblance to you aside from the fact that this little one has the tempter of a lion. They have your most prominent features such as eye color, eye shape, hair color, hair texture, nose, and even lip shape! Along with other features from Leona such as their skin, ears, and tail. This one seems like a calmest one out of the three little Kingscholars, an almost gentle soul with a heart of gold. You can sometimes see them sneak out to play with the local hyena children outside the castle, with an accompanying caretaker or even you! Despite these little positive traits this kiddo is definitely a firecracker when angry, they most definitely have the spirit of a lion. Being the most passive yet most aggressive cub out of all three this little one can at times be a bit of a handful.

The third and final Kingscholar cub is more of a better mix of the both of you when it comes to looks. They have their father's bright green eyes, skin, ears, tail, nose, and hair color. While they also have your hair texture, very similar resting expression, beauty marks(if any), eye shape, and even a similar personality. As mentioned just now they have a fraction of your personality while also just being one of the more curious yet shyest of the three, always looking for a sort of adventure despite their young age. They always ask for any stories you and Leona have to share as well as always asking for some magic lessons from their father. They seem more neutral than the other two but deep down it seems that they have a snippet of Leona's hunger for power(mostly magic wise than status). When Leona and you realize this you two try your best to remind them to stay humble and to not fly too close to the sun.

Azul: Two kids. Azul is a busy, busy business man and you both very well knew this. Azul knew that work would get tougher and more demanding of him so he really only considered having one child in his life so he would be able to easily catch up and even have an easier time hanging out with his child and you outside of work!... well that and the fact that he doubts himself constantly. In truth he's always wanted more than one child, but he doubts that even if he wants more than one he wouldn't be able to be as present to both of them equally and the thought alone brings him to tears. It took a lot of encouragement and reassurance from you to help him not only get his confidence in himself as a parent to come back strong but to also have the confidence of having the serious talk of how they'll be able to do this if they want to add another little octopi into the family. In the end after a few talks and some changes to his business and schedule to fit another Ashengrotto in the family you both decided it was time to welcome your next member into the world!

Azul would be both a lenient but strict parent, he wants his kids to be on top of their studies as usual but he also learned from you that there is also always extra time for having fun and relaxing. He would be the parent that is always the sharpest and the most good-looking while picking up his kids from school, as if he came straight out of a business meeting(most likely did). And at the mention of school-- if one day one of his kids come home crying because of a case of bullying by other students you will definitely see him speeding to the school to chew out the parents of the bullies and other authoritative figures that could've helped but didn't. After this you would be able to see Azul giving a small but heartfelt speech from the soul to both of his kids about how no matter what anyone says about them that they will forever be the greatest kids anyone could ever ask for, and that he'll forever be proud of them.

The first Ashengrotto child to mention is a neutral kind of kid, they study well, are good at magic, and have been able to adapt comfortably in the sea in their second form. They do inherit some of your personality traits where they shine in certain situations, but overall they are a very 'matter of fact' kind of kid. They wear glasses the same as their father but they definitely look a lot like you in the physical aspect as well such as hair, facial features, and expressions, may even consider them the spitting image of you! With the inclusion of Azul's iconic beauty mark and his eye color in theirs of course. They would eventually do well in anything related to law thanks to the knowledge of Azul's step-father and himself as well.

The next little octopus is more of the friendly and playful type, loving their homeland ,the sea, and they thrive in their octopus form in there as well. Physical attributes include Azul's silver hair and beauty mark, but your contribution also holds in the color of their eyes. This Ashengrotto has some cute chubby cheeks on their face that their uncle Floyd loves to pinch(Azul always gives him a death look if he pinches way too hard tho). When visiting the sea they make great friends with the fishes and other creatures that sometimes when it's time to go home on land it'll probably be with them crying on the way back home, but in the end there's no need to worry since as they get home their uncles Floyd and Jade will be there! Those two always make days a little extra fun(especially Floyd).

Lmao don’t do too much for family. You live them deeply but don’t be afraid to say no, ask for reciprocation or just restate your boundaries. I feel like y’all can get down from being in this maternal/paternal energy but someone(s) are going to make this better and give back to you the way you give to them. Don’t overextended your abundance. The goal is to build generational wealth that exists beyond this lifetime. Maybe some of y’all have a younger brother or sibling. People see you as a forever student. You are always learning new skills, adapting, and leveling up your life. I feel like if someone needs help researching or has an oddball question you’re the person for the job. People think the world is your oyster. Nothing can stop you and honestly who would dare with the energy you were presenting earlier. Before I saw you as fierce and cut to the chase, but people close to you see this youthful, creative, and joyous person who is eternally optimistic even when they have their moments. Recognize that you are going through something. You have been left feeling helpless, alone, and defeated. That is okay. It happens. You don’t have to pick yourself up this very millisecond. I know you’re a determined individual who moves towards their goals at the speed of light but you need to reconnect woth your soul energy. Plain and simple. That means inmer child work, root chakra healing, physical therapy. Feed your soul the best way you know how. One step at a time. You got this. Get off social media. I also feel like you’re defensive right now. But there isn’t anything that needs defending. Nobody is taking your spot. There is only you. That’s it. So just rest, please. Everything will be here when you’re feeling better. Promise. Also stop fighting. Whatever that means to you. Chill out and let things pass. I’m picking up on a family scenario. Also stop telling people your grand plans. There energy is getting all mixed in with your projects. Also stop giving away every dime you have. Save. Buy yourself something nice okay. Not every part of you is meant to be given to others.

How to Honor Yourself Daily

Listen to your emotions. Release the hustle energy and breathe. Be playful, act goofy, make dumb choices. They’ll lead you somewhere unexpected. Ofc be safe but have FUN. Acknowledge how you’re feeling daily and show up for yourself by nurturing that aspect of you. Come to terms with your emotions and validate them. Also be creative, study, read, you enjoy acquiring knowledge, so do that. This is not the time for others. It’s the time for you and you only.

Remember Who You Are - What Comes Naturally

Y’all are naturally kind in this pile. You let things come to you. You’re not a chaser and you have a very relaxed energy. I see you as someone who awaits every new day with adventure. Just getting out of bed is enough. To get water, eat, shower, turn on the tv, I don’t care. These people who have left your life or about to honestly left you in shambles. I have a request for the tdac characters to fall in love with child reader(platonically) and basically be attached to them like their younger sibling figure, and now imagine the reader starts to slowly get insane in some way and abstracts, and they just watch in horror as they see their practically younger sibling abstract and taken away to the black hole(I forgot what its called), and they get out of character, I need some angst and out of character mfs

TADC Crew x Child Reader Who Abstracts

You were by far the youngest in the Digital Circus. Out of everyone you actually enjoyed it there, it was colorful, safe, had plenty of things to do. And had people who actually cared about you. It was a place of respite for you after you're awful family. Well awful isn't the right word they weren't abusive or anything. Just neglectful. Caine was a lot like a weird uncle to you. Always had some kind of gift for you when he saw you and despite what he says you know he cares about you. You were just about the only person who genuinely enjoyed his little adventures and jokes so he ended up getting kind of attached to you. As much as an AI could at least.

Gangle more often then not wasn't around you. She didn't avoid you or anything but she didn't go out of her way to be around you. One time when her mask broke and you saw her crying you went to Caine to ask if she was ok. He explained as best he could to you that she isn't really sad, just her mask broke. So you asked Caine to help you fix it. A few hours later you're at Gangle's door with a fixed mask in a present box. Once she saw that you of all people, the youngest one here went out of your way to help her she started to warm up to you.

Zooble most definitely didn't enjoy being around you Lies. She always acted like you annoyed her and she wanted to be anywhere else. But the few times you two have been alone she's surprisingly nice. She taught you how to make a paper hat one time then for the next few weeks you were never seen without one on.

Kinger took on a much more loving approach with you. He saw you as young and in danger and with no one to guide you. And if you were just left alone Jax would probably swoop in like a vulture and corrupt you. So he half took you in and did his best to raise you and teach you. It was hard as their isn't anything for learning in the circus but he did his best. It annoys him to no end when he hears a censored word come from you only to learn that Zooble's been teaching you swears behind his back.

Ragatha did her best with Kinger to raise you so you had some kind of future ahead of yourself. Despite the fact that they no one ages they still want you to be prepared. She took on a very "over protective older sister" kind of way with you. You're young, weak, and gullible so she's constantly worrying about you. Enough for her to set up a bed for you in her room. Plus side is she'll read you bedtime stories.

Jax's sole goal since he found out Kinger and Ragatha were teaching you and keeping you away from him is to taint you. Whenever you're left alone he kind of just appears and offers you something fun to do with him so you'll follow him. He has fed so many lies to your malleable young brain. Like "Hey kid. Did'ja know that Ragatha loves centipedes? I actually caught one earlier today. Why don'cha give it to er?" so naturally you did. You got grounded for that. Pomni is the one you feel closest too. You're innocent and kind nature help her keep calm(er). And her being around your height makes you feel more comfortable around her so you're always seen dragging her around to do something silly. You help her look for the exit, kind of. Your different way of seeing the world has helped her find many things out though. Did you know that their's a secret building at the bottom of the the digital lake? She only found it cause you mentioned said something about Atlantis while swimming then proceeded to dive under the water scaring her.

All of them started to get worried when your usual energetic and optimistic self started to act tired, all the time. Even someone as at your age who seems to be the perfect fit isn't immune to the problems the circus has it seems. When you started to get depressed it freaked Ragatha out causing her to be more strict with you because she didn't want to see you hurt. That only made it worse though. None of them take you abstracting well. Even Jax, despite being a jerk he ended up getting kind of attached to you. Cause no matter how mean he was you were always nice to him. "Wonder if their still causing chaos in the afterlife..." Caine being the ring master was always trying to cheer everyone up and get their mind off you but it never really worked. It slightly affected him too, not because he was attached to you. But because you were so young... "Couldn't even keep a kid alive..." Ragatha after losing you would either lock herself in her room staring at your old bed trying to decide on if she should or shouldn't take it down. It the only thing she has left to remember you by. You had your whole life ahead of you. But she ended up not being able to help. Just like with all those others... "Is it even worth the effort at this point. Am I even helping..." Kinger had already lost Queenie his S/O... Now you, the one he was actually starting to see as his kid. That is what pushed him over the deep end. You two his family, both abstracted. At least he'll get too see you two again... "I'll be there soon love, just have to grab Y/N's books..."

ATLA Headcanon (this is very much spoilers and I'm pretty sure this isn't a super original thought):

Ozai was always thought of as kind of a useless coward in the Fire Nation, before he grabbed power. He was the spare prince next to the Dragon of the West, and this motivates him in everything that he does.

It makes a lot of sense and provides some depth of character to him - which, let me be clear, I don't think he needs: within the story, he works perfectly fine as just a cruel, narcissistic monster. Any detour into his motivations would have distracted from the overall story.

But think about it. Why does he hate Zuko so much? Because Zuko reminds him of his own (perceived) failures, as the disappointing son, and as a narcissist, he can not bear thinking about anything that makes him less than perfect. He wants to get rid of Zuko because he sees himself in Zuko, and this is only compounded by Zuko and Azula's dynamic resembling the dynamic between him and Iroh. Of course, in this case, it's the younger sibling that is the favoured, more capable child. Ozai wants to see himself in Azula, but actually sees himself in Zuko.

Now, I know that the more overt explanation is that he cares about his legacy, and wants Azula to succeed him because she's the stronger heir, but I don't think that matters to Ozai that much. It certainly matters a little bit, because the greater glory of his heir reflects well on him, and obviously he wants that. But I don't think Ozai is actually all that concerned with what happens after he dies. To that, Zhao, whom Ozai promotes and clearly favours to some degree, expresses open disdain at Iroh's spirituality - it's reasonable to think that this sort of attitude thrives under Ozai, or it might just be the Fire Nation in general.

I think Ozai operates under a belief that the world will end with him, and doesn't believe in an afterlife. I don't necessarily mean that he is actually cognisant of this belief - I mean that he is only concerned with himself, so to him, once he stops existing, everything of value will have left the world. If he'd still been in power once he was at the age where death becomes a real concern instead of an abstract possibility, he probably would have sought some form of immortality.

He is very quick to cast Azula aside with a meaningless title, after all. He doesn't value Azula, he just hates the reminder that is Zuko. Zuko also resembles him physically - and to that point, his method of punishing Zuko before getting rid of him is to disfigure him. To further distance himself from Zuko.

In Zuko Alone, Azula refers to Iroh as "his royal tea-loving kookiness" - and we have to remember that Azula probably parrots Ozai's words. Why is this significant? Because at the time, Iroh has just broken through the Outer Wall of Ba Sing Se, a tremendous military accomplishment. He's living up to the Fire Nation's greatest values of military power and glory in battle. And still Ozai disparages him to Azula.

Because Ozai is a wounded narcissist who's always been jealous of his brother. I'm intentionally paraphrasing Zuko's words from The Avatar State here, because it's very likely that those words are also originally Ozai's. An attempt to drive a wedge between his successful older brother and his son.

Ozai's plan to literally burn down the Earth Kingdom is, aside from being monstrous, a terrible strategic decision. What, does the think that the ashes are going to pay him taxes? What's the end goal? At that point, the Fire Nation has effectively won the war. Sure, they are likely still facing resistance, and the Earth Kingdom might be able to rally in the future and challenge them for hegemony. But, considering other conquering military states in our history, a large chunk of their economy probably relies on war. On levying taxes on subjugated territories in order to prop up the economy of the homeland. So, he's intentionally handicapping his own nation by literally burning down a massive source of income.

In the context of erasing his own profound narcissistic injury, however, that makes perfect sense. Who's going to remember Iroh's glorious victories in the Earth Kingdom when there is no Earth Kingdom?

So, there you have it. Ozai is the disappointing child in the shadow of his heroic older brother, the cowardly prince who never went to war in a nation that idolizes war and war heroics above all else, and he spends the rest of his life covering that wound up with blood and fire.

And I do think it's a very beautiful sort of karma that he ends up without his firebending after a short reign and without any meaningful triumphs or accomplishments to his name. Because fuck that guy.

thinking of the Implications of the blight parents signing their 14 year old daughter up for emperor's coven tryouts

because

1: the emperor's coven takes their recruits away from their friends and family

2: they do not wait until you are an adult to do this

(like, even assuming the process from getting accepted into the coven to actually joining it and moving to the castle aren't as fast as hunter makes it sound here it's like.

we do see lilith having dinner at home after eda's been cursed. so it wasn't immediate (at least back then it wasn't)

but they weren't waiting til she was an adult either. cuz eda was 2 years younger than lilith (thus at least 2 years younger than whatever the boiling isles considers an adult, cuz we know lilith was still a student then too) and she and lilith planned on joining at the same time. there wasn't a "well, eda can't actually *join* join for two more years, so she might as well wait for next tryout anyway"

which, tryouts might not be *yearly*, perhaps it's more efficient to not have to run the training camp every year, but i don't imagine they'd be less often than every couple of years)

so this?

the blight parents are 100% willing to send their FOURTEEN YEAR OLD CHILD away *forever*

14 years old. not even done with puberty yet. half a head shorter than her siblings and a whole head shorter than her parents. face still covered in baby fat.

this is a child who is called *mittens* by not only her siblings but by the very parents who were willing to send her away

and they weren't just sending her off to live far-ish away and rarely see them again; they were sending her off to have a Real Grownup Job. even if exactly how bad working for the emperor is isn't a well-known fact, it's still obviously a full-time job.

odalia has wanted amity to join the emperor's coven for a long time. after all, having a daughter in the emperor's coven would bring a lot of prestige to the family, and she could maybe try to leverage amity's position to gain more power

and odalia can be an impatient woman, so it makes sense that she'd want this to happen as soon as possible. not to mention, she's canonically not averse to child labour

(i briefly considered that maybe odalia wanted amity out of her life but i don't think that's the case. odalia doesn't outright hate amity; odalia's cruelty comes from seeing her family as tools (and seeing amity as very useful but flawed) rather than malice)

meanwhile, alador explains his choice by saying he thought it was what amity wanted

and it's addressed that that's not really her dream (at least, it DEFINITELY isn't anymore. they way she used to "want" to join the emperor's coven is worthy of its own post tbh). and that if he paid attention to her, talked to her, listened to her, and made himself a person that she could comfortably admit these kinds of things to, then he'd know that.

but he also ignores her when she says she doesn't want to go to tryouts that night (even if she didn't admit that she never wants to join the emperor's coven at all) and wants to go to the bonesborough brawl instead.

doesn't stop to question why his daughter -who has previously shown herself to be rather studious, responsible, and goal-oriented- would suddenly want to "goof off". he just... assumes she's being irresponsible and thoughtlessly not pursuing "her dream" or "a bright future" for no reason, and just needs to be pushed into doing the supposedly responsible thing

but that doesn't quite explain why he's convinced that she needs to do this at *age fourteen*, why her future can't wait a few more years, why her dream needs to happen as soon as possible before her childhood's even over. (and i'm not gonna take "because odalia said so" as an answer here; he's clearly convinced that what he's doing is right and is not just mindlessly following orders)

well, first possibility: i think maybe, while he's not as bad or blatant about it as his wife, he might also think material success is the key to happiness (and the emperor's coven is considered one of the most successful positions in the world, next to being a covenhead)

and with that kind of mindset, a lot of the things that would bring the children actual happiness just get forgotten. their needs for attention and affection, for friendship and leisure, for the freedom to express themselves, for the chance to just be kids, all get thrown by the wayside -sacrificed in the name of "success"

by that line of thinking: joining the emperor's coven = material success and material success = happiness. and if joining the emperor's coven = happiness, then joining sooner = being happy sooner. and why wouldn't a parent want their child to find happiness as soon as possible? unfortunately her age and specific needs are not in that equation at all, even though they're obviously actually very important factors

(you could also honestly apply this reasoning to odalia herself as well, if you want to be charitable. cuz i've seen good arguments that she does actually care about her family's wellbeing, but in a twisted sort of way, wherein her priorities are extremely skewed AND it gets obscured by her own selfishness. idk, the show's characterization of her is weird, even compared to her husband (i blame the s3 shortening rushing their development, tbh). so i waited to bring this up til after i started talking about alador.)

there's also a second possibility: maybe he realizes that their home environment is bad for amity (which, it is), and thinks getting her out of there early by any means would be good for her (which, not quite the case)

maybe not even by noticing her actual misery, but by projecting his own misery onto her. like, he's in an abusive marriage and severely overworked. when he says amity has a bright future, he's kind of contrasting her with himself, and -consciously or not- implying that his life is not what a bright future looks like (which kind of goes against the first possibility, because he is rather financially successful). and he's very afraid of his children having to take his place: probably especially amity, because she's the abomination witch and would be more likely to have to take on his exact job

(ironically, though he doesn't know it, emperor's coven members are just as overworked and controlled as he is)

except, y'know, leaving a toxic home environment to become fully self sufficient is not the kind of upgrade for a kid that it would be for an adult. it'd just be throwing her from one bad situation to another

and also it's your responsibility as a parent to provide an environment for your child that they don't need to escape from. and while some concessions can be made due to the whole abusive wife situation, that doesn't absolve him of all responsibility.

like, the whole point of his role in reaching out was that the WERE things that he COULD do better. like, he became a better father at the end of that episode than he was at the beginning. and none of that change was due to "my wife changed, so i now have the ability to be a better father"; odalia wasn't involved in that growth at all

Jewellery Box of SEKAI gemstone symbolism overview

The Project SEKAI Creators Festival is being held this weekend, which means we got our first look at the Jewellery Box of SEKAI game! The game is available to buy and play at the Creator Festa, meaning pictures of the game and cards have been posted online by event attendees. While I haven't been able to find clean card arts yet, one person photographed the artwork that was on display at the festa and posted it to Twitter. I will be using those images in this post.

These artworks don't have the full card descriptions, but do include the meanings of every gemstone. While it seems that the gemstones were mainly picked based on image color, some of the meanings do tie-in nicely to the characters.

Virtual Singer

Miku - Emerald

Meanings: Happiness, Luck, Love, Hope

May link to the fact that Miku is a very cheerful character who brings hope to people. Interestingly, Hibiscus (one of her birth flowers) also means happiness, love and hope.

Rin and Len - Yellow Diamond

Meanings: Confidence, Divinity, Wealth, Eternal Bond

The last one is especially relevant to the Kagamines, since they are twin vocalists with an close bond across most SEKAI.

Luka - Morganite

Meanings: Affection, Elegance, Purity

Luka is very affectionate across most SEKAI. She's also described as elegant.

MEIKO - Ruby

Meanings: Passion, Courage, Dignity, Pure Love

"Passion" may reference MEIKO's energy and enthusiam that she's depicted with in her base form. Aside from that it mainly references her image color.

KAITO - Sapphire

Meanings: Sincerity, Compassion, Fidelity, Virtue

"Compassion" fits well with his WxS variant, as perhaps the most affectionate KAITO. The meanings fit with some of the other KAITO variants as well.

Leo/need

Ichika - Lapis Lazuli

Meanings: Truth, Nobility, Luck, Health

The last meaning may link to how Ichika was the only member of Leo/need who would visit Saki in hospital. She would often give her flowers, which Saki states are what helped her to recover. It's a bit of a stretch though.

Saki - Bi-color Tourmaline

Meanings: Affection, Innocence, Purity, Confidence

Minori - Sunstone

Meanings: Passion, Courage, Victory, Glittering

Minori is incredibly passionate about idols, and has worked for years to become one. Victory likely refers to how she finally became an idol when she met the other members of MORE MORE JUMP!. Sunstone is said to be a stone of leadership and uplifting spirits, fitting for Minori as the center of MMJ!.

Haruka - Aquamarine

Meanings: Happiness, Wealth, Wisdom, Calmness

Calmness refers to the fact that Haruka is generally the most composed member of MMJ. Happiness may refer to her feelings about being an idol and how MMJ was able to bring those feelings back (bit of a stretch since they mainly link this to hope).

Airi - Spinel

Meanings: Positivity, Challenge, Achieving Goals

Perhaps the most in-character so far. Airi had to challenge people's expectations to get where she is now. When she was younger, people didn't think she was fit to be an idol because of how rough around the edges she was, and she had to challenge expectations again when she was older and was constantly pushed towards being a variety TV star instead of an idol. Thanks to MMJ!, she is finally able to achieve her goal of becoming a real idol.

Shizuku - Jade

Meanings: Compassion, Longevity, Happiness, Stability

Shizuku is very compassionate and affectionate, especially towards her sister, with whom she shares a gemstone in this game. She's very caring towards other characters as well. Happiness could be connected to how she feels now that she's a part of MMJ!, as she was no longer enjoying Cheerful*Days when she quit due to how she was treated.

Vivid BAD SQUAD

Kohane - Star Ruby

Meanings: Always the leading role, Passion

Another fitting gemstone. Kohane is incredibly talented and quickly surpassed the other members of Vivid BAD SQUAD to be in the lead in their group in terms of skill. Passion could refer to how she'd always wanted something to put her all into, since she had never been so passionate about anything until she met An.

An - Turquoise

Meanings: Success, Safety, Sociability, Adventure

Sociability is very fitting, since An is one of the most social characters in the game. She was raised in Vivid Street and grew up surrounded by the community.

Akito - Amber

Meanings: Prosperity, Dreams coming true, Embrace, Big Love

The journey Akito has taken to realising his dreams is very important to his character. Akito is determined to surpass RAD WEEKEND and has worked hard to get where he is. He was often told that he would fail and has subsequently had to prove that he will prosper. In addition, Akito is much kinder than he may seem, even once he drops the nice guy persona, and he cares deeply about his friends and his sister. Note that embrace (抱擁) in this context specifically refers to hugging and is mainly used in literature.

Toya - Sodalite

Meanings: Protection, Decisiveness, Dreams coming true

Decisiveness could refer to Toya choosing to stick with street music despite what his parents wanted. The symbolism of dreams coming true is shared with Akito, referring to how they share the same dream and Akito was the one who gave him his dream. Sodalite is also said to improve communication; Toya has struggled with expressing and communicating his feelings in the past. Sodalite can notably appear to be multi-color (usually blue and white), which, like the Tenma siblings, references his two-tone hair.

WonderlandsxShowtime

Tsukasa - Bi-color Tourmaline

Meanings: Affection, Innocence, Purity, Confidence

Confidence is especially fitting for Tsukasa given that he is one of the most confident characters in the game. Affection also fits, as he is also one of the kinder characters, especially towards his sister, who he shares this gemstone with. Emu - Rose Quartz

Meanings: Affection, Beauty, Kindness

Emu is the most physically affectionate character in the game and is always giving people hugs, especially close friends and family. She's also one of the kindest characters and her main ambition is to make people smile. Rose quartz is known as the stone of universal and unconditional love - self-love, platonic love/friendship and romantic love.

Nene - Hiddenite

Meanings: Healing, Intelligence

Hiddenite is said to help with healing and recovery from past experiences, which refers to Nene regaining her confidence moving on from the incident in her middle school theatre troupe so that she could perform on stage again.

Rui - Amethyst

Meanings: Noble, Sincerity, Peace of Mind, Affection

Again one that was probably picked based on image color more than anything. Sincerity is a bit ironic considering that Rui is notoriously bad at being honest with himself, specifically with regards to his feelings. That said, he can open up if needs be and an important part of his arc is learning that he can be himself around people. Amethyst is a calming stone that is meant to relieve anxiety and bring peace of mind, which could tie in to Rui’s current arc dealing with his feelings and worries about WonderlandsxShowtime’s inevitable disbandment.

Kanade - Moonstone

Meanings: Health, Luck, Innocence

Health could refer to Kanade's healing personality and drive to save people. Outside of that it seems that this might have been another image color pick. Note that innocence (無垢) can also mean spiritual purity in relation to Buddhism.

Mafuyu - Obsidian

Meanings: Concentration, Power to see the future, Unlocking potential

The power to see the future may refer to the current point in Mafuyu's character arc, where she and N25 are trying to find a better future for her. Unlocking potential could tie into that too. Also notable is that obsidian is believed to be a healing stone and protect from negative influences, which is extremely relevant to Mafuyu's arc.

Ena - Amber

Meanings: Prosperity, Dreams coming true, Embrace, Big Love

Like her brother, Ena realising her dreams is an important part of her character. Ena aspires to be an artist, and she continues to work to prove her worth so that she can achieve her dream. Also like her brother, Ena is a lot nicer than she may seem and cares deeply about her friends and brother.

Mizuki - Pearl

Meanings: Health, Innocence, Chastity, Completion

Okay this one was definitely an image color pick and I can’t find much connection to Mizuki from these. I think it fits reasonably well with their cute image though. Pink pearls, which match their image color, are usually associated with femininity. Note that innocence is the same one used with Kanade.

Along with the idea that several nations should be older (India, Egypt, china, and even Arthur and all Nordics) I am an avid promoter that the USA and some others should be younger like teens. It would make so much more sense and imagine the kid holding up the power and the older ones unable to do anything BC it's a kid what do you expect??? Remember when *insert nation* broke havoc just because he likes something and was an infant? (America steaming in the background that he's old enough!)

And if by some grand evil miracle the nations of today were personified, i think you might be on the right path with this one.

But

I just put these nations (specifically the younger ones like US, CAN, NZ, AUS) in situations where no adult, let alone a teen should be in. The problem for me with making these young nations teens is that i don’t have that retrospective narrative of how things have progressed in their lives. For instance, Alfred was a young teen during the revolution and had different viewpoints and goals and ideas than he does now. He is still young but has a developed enough brain to grasp the reigns of power with confidence. He needed time to learn that, and now that he is a young adult he can understand things he just couldnt when he was a child. Same for Matt. A child who grew up forgotten and called an inconvenience, grew up into a reserved young man with empire/daddy issues who took care of his younger siblings (jack and zee who werent really his siblings), just because he can’t imagine them experiencing what he did as a child. And all of that because he grew up and became a young adult with a story to tell.

I section these lads lives out into seperate parts: the birth, truma times - aka childhood, the Big change (Matt with meeting his brother and living under Arthurs roof and Alfred finding himself in the revolution and enlightenment), Breeching (development of self throughout history), Now and Future. I just really need that distinction of where they were to where they are now. And yes it would make more logical sense if they were teenagers and younger, but its just less fun for me. It doesnt let me tell the stories and narratives i wanna tell. Its kinda limitign i think.

The most simple reason would be it’s just easier and more fun. :))))

See, I don’t even think Baela and Jace love each other. They barely know one another. We get no indication whatsoever of how any of them feel. The first time these kids ever met was at the worst funeral in the world, then Baela is fostered in Driftmark with her Grandmother while Corlys is running away from his grief and how he gave his children away to the Targaryens because of his ambitions and he lost them both. Corlys was the one originally pro Strong boys, Rhaenys was not. She would not have grown up hearing how great they were just for breathing. How does she feel being betrothed to a bastard? (She might not be anti bastard but truly as much as tb wishes, No noble raised girl in Westeros dreams of growing up and marrying a bastard) A bastard who’s brother just usurped the position her Grandmother was raising her for. Now, Rhaena may love them as brothers because she has been raised with them but now she’s suddenly engaged to marry her little brother. We got to see how Aegon felt about being betrothed to his little sister and it was realistic. How do they feel about their Uncle being murdered in front of them in favor of Rhaenyra? Baela has just lived with this man for the last 6 years and he did love her mother. He would not have been trusted to give a Eulogy at her funeral if Corlys and Rhaenys felt he didn’t love their daughter. The twins have no resentment and animosity towards Rhaenyra for that careless Valyrian wedding so soon after their mother’s death? They just smile like puppets and take their places next to the bland boys and get stars in their eyes when they see Rhaenyra who herself is bland af as a future Queen. She’s done nothing in the past 6 years deserving of that kind of admiration. Unlike Alicent ruling the 7 Kingdoms and Rhaenys ruling Driftmark In Corlys’ absence. Dragonstone is almost deserted. Rhaenyra made no boss moves in that time, nothing that showed any ambition or skill. She couldn’t have been further from the image of Queen Alysanne if she tried.

On to the boys, we get Jace’s feelings on Harwin’s death but not Laenor’s? How do he and Luke feel about the murder of their father? The whispers that Rhaenyra and Daemon did it? Jace is not as naive as Luke, does he believe it? She made them bastards in the first place and then she made them fatherless bastards. 6 years later do they still see and care about Laenor as their father? Did/do they grieve him? Besides the Driftmark succession, what are the lingering effects of his death? Is there any resent towards Rhaenyra for the positions she’s placed them in? Towards Daemon, who was a stranger to them for replacing their father?

I wish the show writers would’ve fleshed out the tb kid’s personalities and inner thoughts/actions like they did the kids/teens in GOT. The interactions between the young cast with each other feel so natural. The younger generation in HOTD didn’t get that much screen time in comparison but still, we see the dynamics between the Stark siblings so clearly within the first 2 episodes. We get a sense of their inner thoughts, feelings, goals, beliefs and conflicts.

Jon loved his father and Ned loved him, like Rhaenyra loves her sons. He raised him like his other children, YET we know how Jon feels about his parentage. We see although he himself can have classist tendencies, he is self conscious about his bastardy. He has moments of bitterness and self loathing. His brothers and sisters- including Sansa- loved him and despite that love for him Sansa’s pov of bastards is typical of the period she was raised.

Sansa’s reaction to her betrothal to Joffrey barring she did not yet know his true parentage and his true nature is realistic for a noble Westerosi girl. Robb’s reaction to the forcing of his hand and his marriage alliance to the Frey girl is realistic as well and how he eventually fucked it all up. That’s why I don’t Bristle at the idea of Jace and Sara, it would be the most human thing he did.

Thank you, anon. I really love your perspective and analysis of the Blacks teens. They deserve so much better.

A/N: Second part of My Brother's Keeper. Again ,not my best work but I hope you all gonna like it nonetheless.

Part 1

Rhaenerys stared at Dragonstone, which became clearer and bigger with each beat of her dragon's wings.

Behind her was Rhaenys on Meleys back, and Sunfyre, faithfully following her rider, who still held his sister's hand like a last resort.

Aegon didn't say a word to her, burying his head in the hollow of her neck, fighting his own battle in his mind, and the woman in front of him wasn't planning to interrupt him.

As she descended to land, she felt her heart beatiting harder, leaping up to her throat. She couldn't have foreseen what would happen when they arrived at the castle, she was not able to. All she could do was pray that her earlier words would prove true.

She walked through the darkened corridors, steered her steps towards the main hall. The guards did not question her presence or inquire about the reason for her arrival, allowing her to move freely towards the desired goal, which was her older sister.

When the white-haired woman saw her, she smiled, but the corners of her mouth quickly fell, seeing her serious expression and Aegon with Rhaenys behind her back.

-Sister, you came back quickly - the woman noticed - Has something happened that you decided to change your plans?

Rhaenerys walked slowly towards her.

-I would prefer you to sit down - she said in a remarkably calm voice, as if nothing had happened before the morning.

-I am not made of glass - she announced, grabbing the hands of the white-haired princess standing in front of her - So tell me what's going on and why our younger brother came to visit me.

-Our father ... he's dead - she said softly, and seeing the realizations in Rhaenyra's eyes, she squeezed her hands tighter -Alicent wants to put Aegon on the throne, but you are the rightful ruler and you will sit on the iron throne. They already know we ran away, but they don't know where, although I suppose the first place they will check will be Dragonstone- she confessed, glancing at her uncle.

-I'll call the council - Daemon announced, not hiding anger mixed with regret.

-Why ... why did you take Aegon with you?- the princess asked, frowning slightly.

Her sister looked back. The white-haired man was still standing in the same place, stiffened, watching.

-Leave us - the young woman unexpectedly informed - Lead the prince to my chamber - she added, glancing at the standing guards.

With the two sisters alone, their eyes held wordless conversation most of the time, neither was sure how to start or what to say.

-I avoided bloodshed - Rhaenerys confessed -The only thing that could tear down the house of the dragon is itself. I don't want to let our family prove that this claim is true, Rhaenyra- she added.

-That is why there is a man here with you, whose is search by half of the kingdom- the woman remarked surprisingly coldly.

-What do you think I was supposed to do? - white-haired Targaryen asked - I couldn't leave him, I gave us extra time and delivered news to you about the betrayal. And you're only interested in why Aegon is here.

-You put our life in danger, I know that our brother is close to you, but do you really think that tearing him out of greedy hands of greens is a good idea? I do not want to start my reign in the ashes of other people death bodies- said the princess, leaning on the stone table.

-Do you hear yourself future queen? - asked the young woman, not hiding the irritation that grew in her - Or you so blinded by the jealousy and bitterness towards your siblings, who from birth were treated better by the people than us?

Rhaenerys, no longer wanting to participate in a conversation that was getting nowhere, departed from her older siblings. Disappearing behind the door, leaving them alone with their own mind.

She felt tired and could no longer listen to the stubborn beliefs of the people around her.

Aegon, hearing the sound of the entrance opening, turned his head towards it. His sister walked over to him without a word, hiding her head in the hollow of his neck, as he did many times when he needed to feel safe.

The prince embraced the violet-eyed immediately, trying to protect her from the outside world as she did with him mant times. He wanted to be the one who cares for her for once, not the other way around.

-I just wanted to keep our family together - she whispered unexpectedly against his skin, clenching her hands against the fabric of his clothes.

His eyes softened.

-You are not able to save everyone- fair-haired man noticed, taking her cheek uncertainly- We are cursed.

-I don't want to save everyone, just those who got caught up in something they never wanted to get involved in - Rhaenerys said, looking into her brother's eyes.

He studied her beautiful face for a moment, then with the other hand he brushed a strand of her hair back, tucking it behind her ear.

-This world doesn't deserve you- Viserys' eldest son said- I don't deserve you. I never did.

-You deserve me, Ageon - the young woman whispered -You deserve the best because life has never done you any good- she remarked, joining their foreheads together and closing her eyes -We have both been abandoned by the gods, so we must stick together. We are made of fire and we will burn together.

-Forever - her brother promised, kissing her soft lips desperately.

The man found the ties of her black dress, slowly tugging on them, exposing Rhaenerys's white back. She let him move however he wished, feeling the familiar sense of warmth appearing only in the embrace of a lover.

On that day, their bodies fused into one.

With every movement, kiss or brush of their hands, you could had feel desperation pouring out from both sides. Nothing could've tear them apart, they had been together too long to be able to refrain from exploring their bodies after years of separation.

The silver-haired girl held Targaryen close, fearing that he would vanish like an illusion, not realizing that he felt the same.

They were like two dragons dancing among themselves.

Their flame only intensified as the two smoldering ends found each other fully, creating a fire that consumed them in its depths.

Only the sound of a knock on the door pulled them away from their eager lips and addictive touches.

-The Queen needs you - said Daemon, when she stood at the door to her chambers -She will not make the final decision without the Hand and her brother.

I'm gonna use the little bit of traction I got with my latest posts to share this

I have commissions opened and I really need the money for it

A little bit of background on myself (no need to see if you don't want to, it is just explaining why this, so out of nowhere)

I am a disabled Brazilian artist with a focus on fanart. I am from a poor family, we use all the money we have and a bit more we get from the help of friends to live by. I am the oldest of 3 siblings, and I live with my stepdad, my mother, my grandma, and my siblings. I have Level 1 Autism and Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. I am over 18, but I am not able to work due to my autism limitations. I am currently studying ONLY because of a university program that pays all my university fees. My mom is on a medical retiring license off work because she has panic attacks at work. My stepdad is the only one in my house who works, and we use all that money in bills, food, and medicine. My younger siblings don't have the age to work, and my youngest one was diagnosed with autism together with ADHD.

Nowadays, we spend over 800 BRS on medicines, not counting other medical bills we have like my braces or therapy. My brother is getting as much for free, but I'm not so lucky, as I am a legal adult now. My family has been trying for 2 years to get a benefit from the government that would help us, but it is stuck in the judge's table, we can only wait for it.

I don't have therapy anymore, nor have a neurologist. I am without one of my medicines and don't have the money to go to my Psychiatrist to find a way to get more. I've recently found out I was groomed since I was 16, and I also deal with the past traumas of domestic abuse, sexual harassment, bullying, and more.

All the money I get is to try funding therapy for me. Whatever I get besides that is gonna go for me to buy a better computer so I can study and do more commissions. I also am engaged, and would like to save some money for when my fiancé comes to live with me, we can get married.

My whole goal with my art since the beginning was to share stories, make people see characters that they can relate to, and spread joy. My dreams are to be a webtoon artist, get married, and be able to afford a good life for my family, where my siblings won't need to wear hand-me-downs, where my mom will not need to go to work risking having a panic attack, where my grandma can relax and finally enjoy her retirement, where my stepdad can make a barbecue like he loves, and with as much hot sauce as he wants. Where my fiancé can relax and not need to wait over 4 years to see me again.

Any help, be it commissioning or even reblogging and spreading this, goes a long way. I have not forgotten the name of a single person who has commissioned me in the past, and I don't plan on forgetting anyone who does so in the future.

Who is.....Paige Guthrie | Husk? - A Reading Guide

Paige Guthrie is an X-Men affiliated mutant from Marvel comics first introduced in 1984. Paige is the younger sister of Sam Guthrie (Cannonball of the New Mutants), and the oldest daughter of the Guthrie family. Paige is known for her passion and drive, as well as for her intellect. Husk has the mutant ability to shed her outer layer of skin and reveal a new state or shape underneath. Her power can cause random changes if she activates it without thinking, but by concentrating on specific chemical or elemental formulas, she can control the nature of her transformation. These shifts in state can leave her vulnerable to mood swings and blackouts, requiring her to be careful when she uses her powers. Despite her character being best known among fans for her relationships with Jono Starsmore (Chamber) and Warren Worthington III (Angel/Archangel) - Paige is a smart, strong, and kind character worthy of focus in her own right. (She's also amazing Appalachian representation in comics <3).

Child's Play (and its aftermath): In this crossover event, the Upstarts continue their series of games to prove their power and worth to one another. This time, they devise "the Younghunt", a mission to capture all of the surviving members of the New Mutants (some of whom are now members of X-Force) and the Hellions. Paige had secretly followed X-Force, and ends up saving the day with her intellect. The event ends with New Warriors #46, and Paige's appearances afterwards tackle the aftermath of the event, with Cable trying to talk to Paige about her future and her training.

Phalanx Covenant: Mutant hating humans that have gained access to Warlock's techno-organic Phalanx virus use it to turn themselves into techno-organic beings. This event sets up Generation X (which is Paige heavy!). The first three issues listed below are the only ones technically part of the Phalanx Covenant event, but some more issues have been included to add a bit more context before the Generation X section :)

Paige is featured heavily in this book and is one of the main team members!

Although a prototype was developed in San Francisco in 1906, the modern Sentinels were first created by Dr. Bolivar Trask. His intention was to use them to save humanity from what he saw as an impending threat to the species' existence due to the increasing numbers of emerging mutants. Sentinels have long been one of the largest threats to mutantkind in X-comics and at this point in comics are one of the greatest threats to them from the government. Especially when so many mutants have been depowered as the result of M-Day/Decimation. This section also touches on Divided We Stand, a synopsis is linked here for ease of understanding.

Secret Invasion: TW: THIS EVENT IS TIED PRETTY HEAVILY INTO ANTISEMITIC TROPES PROCEED WITH CAUTION The premise of Secret Invasion is that the Skrull empire, in a bid to take control of earth, replaces several super-powered humans/humanoids on earth with Skrulls.

Utopia: Within the Utopia event (connected to the Utopia base that used to be Asteroid M), Scott Summers (Cyclops) instructs Logan Howlett (Wolverine) to create a new secret X-Force team to act as something like a black-ops squad. Meanwhile, Norman Osborne (of Spider-Man, Green Goblin fame) had promised Emma Frost (White Queen) that he would spare the mutant society in San Francisco if she kept them in line. This event is heralded by secret-keeping with a backdrop of anti-mutant legislation being passed in many US states due to Simon Trask's (Bolivar Trask's, creator of the Sentinels, brother) push for a lack of reproductive freedom for mutants.

Dark Avengers (2009) #8 Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus (2009)

Necrosha and Second Coming: Necrosha is a crossover event that deals with mutants being resurrected for the dark purposes of Selene Gallio (an old enemy of the X-Men, first appearing in New Mutants (1983) #9) who intends to use these resurrected mutants in her quest to become a goddess. Second Coming is a storyline that builds on the Utopia and Necrosha storylines. The story centers on the return of Cable and Hope Summers, and on attempts to end the X-Men through the destruction of the Mutant Messiah, the aptly named Hope Summers.

Curse of the Mutants: In what can only be described as the "oh shit we've run out of ideas" last resort of any creative company putting out too many crossover events in a short period of time..... the X-Office put out Curse of the Mutants. The arc centers on a human bomb exploding in San Francisco's Union Square, covering dozens in vampire-converting blood. It then becomes the mission of the X-Men to track down Dracula's son Xarus, now "Lord of the Vampires", even if that means enlisting vampire-hunter Blade. Yeah.... I don't know either.

X-Men: Curse of the Mutants - X-Men vs. Vampires X-Men (2010) #5

Age of X: The mutants are almost extinct, tortured by a strike force led by Colonel Graydon Creed. The first signs of the Age of X appeared in X-Men: Legacy #244; the events were removed from the Earth-616 mainstream continuity, with no memories of the alternate lives. If you've taken a look at my David Haller Reading List you'll see this event explained as "David’s desire to be loved forces him to grapple with reality," and as a story that "places David in a role where he has to choose between a false universe where he is considered a beloved hero and reality where he must choose to be a hero despite the fear others feel about him." And while that is the base cause of the event, Age of X also has some absolutely INCREDIBLE moments for Paige (and her relationship with her brother Sam) to shine!

Regenesis: In the aftermath of Schism, the X-Men re-organize and face new challenges. Imo you don't necessarily have to read Schism to understand Regenesis, but it might be helpful if you want to grasp all the nuance.

House of X and Krakoa: House of X is the event that sets up the founding of the island nation of Krakoa as a safe haven for mutants. These comics also detail the Crucible, a way for de-powered mutants to die in combat and be resurrected with their powers once more.

How do you think Tom Jr would have turned out if Merope never stopped using the love potion on Tom Senior? I would assume at the very least he would have like a very, very fucked up view on relationships. Would Merope try to play happy family by including Tom Senior’s parents as Tom’s grandparents?

Well, that's a Nabokov story, isn't it?

Let's dive in.

Tom Doesn't Know Growing Up

Tom grows up much more well-adjusted (initially) than he did in the orphanage. On the outside he has a stable household with very good income, he has a mother who loves him and a father who... sometimes he remembers he's in the room, he probably has younger siblings if we're being very honest here, he gets a good education, has a future assured going to a good preparatory school and likely university down the road.

There are hints that things aren't right, but this is all the world Tom and his siblings have known and just the way his parents are.

His father's hopelessly in love with their mother, to the point of obsessiveness, and barely pays the children any mind (as under the influence of love potions he would only ever be fixated on Merope and couldn't really process the kids).

Merope, having chosen this path, could have done so for her children out of terror they'd be abandoned but also likely did it as she's terrified Tom Riddle will leave her if she doesn't. That is to say, I'm not sure she's paying that much attention to the kids either.

Tom also sees his father drinking something his mother makes about once a month that the kids are never, ever, to touch ever. That's just how home life is for Tom.

Tom also has very special abilities, is clearly very talented, and I imagine Merope given her background and that magic was a means of tormenting her--doesn't encourage that.

She does tell Tom though that he's a wizard (probably the siblings as well) but Hogwarts is a fantasy as no one in the family's been in ages. When Dumbledore shows up with a letter (as Tom has the last name 'Riddle' and lives in a Muggle area) Merope is shocked that he got in.

She's torn between being proud and disappointed.

Tom Riddle Sr, to Tom's surprise, doesn't care where Tom goes to school at all. Dumbledore gives Merope and Tom Sr. some very shrewd looks but says nothing for all Tom catches him staring.

Tom Goes to School

Tom learns he's a Half-blood. His mother said it but never focused on it much and while he knew there were wizards and a wizarding world, he hadn't realized he was missing out on anything. He just assumed everything was like the way he lived.

He now feels robbed and wonders why his mother didn't take him or his siblings to Diagon Alley, why they don't have spell books at home, why he was never told about Hogwarts.

Tom, not living in poverty, may not be slated to Slytherin as he doesn't have the drive at eleven to get out of the situation he's in. He's still an ambitious sort, though, so we'll say he does, it's certainly on the table.

There, he's treated not quite as bad as he was in canon, but he still is a Half-blood with the last name "Riddle". He's the worst kind of Half-blood, his father was an actual Muggle. As a result, he faces much of the same issues and likely is very upset over it especially as his father, frankly, is such a non-entity in his life.

Having younger siblings, Tom is likely even more pissed off that they'll join this school to this nonsense.

I imagine Tom makes it his goal to put everyone in their place for his own pride and also to pave the path for his younger siblings by the time they arrive.

Eventually Tom Recognizes the Signs

His mother's brewing a potion every month, he now knows that after class. Likely from the library, he recognizes the symptoms of a love potion in his father, the scent is different to each of his siblings but it always smells pleasant: this sounds like amorentia.

Tom realizes his mother has been feeding their father love potions since before he can remember.

I imagine Tom emotionally distances himself then.

He doesn't want anything to do with these people.

He may sabotage the potion so as to see what his father will do, and gets confirmation that Tom Riddle Sr. was a prisoner in his own home. Tom Sr likely flees, the children essentially strangers to him/not anyone he could take with him without Merope catching up.

Merope never forgives Tom for this, the youngest of the siblings probably doesn't understand what's happening, and Tom proposes "I WILL GET A JOB" to support the family.

As Tom's too young/still in school, the realities of poverty quickly catch up with them. Tom can't even use magic in the house (as it's a Muggle house) without the aurors dropping by.

As it is... Honestly, Tom probably takes the younger siblings to go live in the woods somewhere, where the wards that detect illegal use of magic wouldn't be set up. He ditches Merope.

Does Tom Do the Voldemort?

He might but he honestly might not.

The thing is his history's not as glamorous in this universe. He knows his mother's the magical one, and she's a piece of garbage. The legacy of Slytherin has no charm for him when he knows the realities of it. He's not sent back to the Blitz during the summers by the headmaster.

Tom's horrific childhood is a product of his own horrible, family, drama and not society. Yes, he still has to deal with being a Half-blood and supporting his family, but I imagine becoming a romanticized Dark Lord isn't a solution he actively thinks about.

Not to mention, if he has these younger siblings, then his immediate future is going to be trying to get them through school and then on their feet without any support from their parents and little to no income.

There's no real place for Voldemort in there.

Maybe, like canon, he comes back as Voldemort years later after being abroad (I'm highly suspicious that Voldemort was anything Tom was all that serious about until about a decade before canon, maybe) but this is a Tom who lived a very different life.

How Would Tom Turn Out

I imagine, as in canon, he'd be a very angry and cynical individual. I imagine he'd also be extremely scrutinous of anyone trying to approach him and always watches his drinks.

Whether he'd become a dark lord or not is up for debate.
